Science and imagination seem always connect. To some extent, sci-fi film can reflect one nation’s capacity of science and technology. By analyzing the production amounts of the sci-fi films of China and US (1995-2008) and a case study on history of sci-fi film, it shows how science & technology popularization of sci-fi film functions. Furthermore, some thoughts on the development of Chinese sci-fi film are discussed.
