The construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era, which creates new historical opportunities for the development of science popularization industry in China. The paper holds that under the new historical environment, the development trend of science popularization industry in China is gradually emerging, which is mainly reflected in related theory research, practice exploration, policy system construction and the process its internationalization. The paper also proposes and analyzes the specific development trend. It is hoped that the afore-mentioned analysis and research will arouse the attention and research of peers, relevant decision-making departments and institutions on the development of science popularization industry to further promote the high quality, high efficiency and healthy development of science popularization industry, which will provide some reference for decision-making in this regard.
