County-level science and technology museums are science popularization infrastructures serving the grass-roots. In order to improve their development, this paper studies the development status and existing problems by combining qualitative and quantitative methods and puts forward that the construction of county-level science and technology museums should explore appropriate development modes with the help of internal and external support, enrich exhibition and education resources, strengthen museum-school cooperation, expand the coverage of science popularization relying on information network technology, and help the development of venues with the help of all parties.
