The research and application of artificial intelligence (AI) has launched its way from 1950’s to 21st century with the rapid development of computer and network technology, and has performed profound impacts on all levels of society. For science communication, AI is reconstructing itself in two dimensions, namely, technology driving and deep interaction. On the one hand, AI drives science communication to realize its fundamental reform which takes audience’s demand as internal driving force through technological revolutions; on the other hand, AI realizes the deep interaction between disseminators and audiences in science communication through big data of communication subject, netization of communicating media, and individualization of communication content.
