Taking more than 2000 “risk communication” research papers included Chinese journal databases and WOS as the statistical sources, this paper studied the main research points and research characteristics in risk communication research field by using SPSS and UCINET to carry out a multidimensional scaling analysis and social network analysis. By comparing with western research, this study pointed out the limitations of current research in China: overlooking the public opinion and normal risk. Unbalanced social structure might be the most relevant reason.
