This paper takes 371 science popular bases in Beijing as the research object, and their type, field, team, exhibits facilities and activities as the research content. The study analyzes the current distribution characteristics of Beijing science popular base resources, and summarizes five issues including top management, field distribution, personnel structure, exhibition renewal, and activity organization. On the basis of the analysis, this paper puts forward three suggestions. Firstly, in-depth research should be carried out to strengthen the refined management of the base. Secondly, we should integrate educational, cultural and tourism resources to explore market-oriented transformation. Thirdly, it is necessary to raise the professional level of popular science personnel and cultivate a stable volunteer team.
