With the vigorous development of Science and Technology Museums in China, an increasing number of people find it easy to approach and understand science through visiting science museums and science centers. The philosophy of international science education is during the process of the transformation from scientific inquiry to scientific practices. Essentially, the source of science communication is from scientific research institutions and scientific community specializing in scientific practices. The Science and Technology Museums can play a great role in building a communication platform and bridge between the public and scientific community, the Open Research Laboratory in Europe and the Living Laboratory in USA are best practices in this respect. Inspired by this, STMs can construct scientific platforms on researching or spreading level through introducing scientific research projects into Science and Technology Museums, and provide opportunities to help the public be deeply involved in the activities of scientists’ practices on the basis of cooperation with professional scientific research institutions.
