ArchiveIn this paper, it is systematacially introduced the background, specific implementation process and achievement for the integrated management mode of production, marketing, research and development and forwarding in Rare Earth Steel Plate Co. as well as comprehensively summarized the important measures in operation process. The exploration and practices on the management mode promote the performance of production and management and management level of enterprise to be improved as well as provide the references for propelling the reform of management mechanism and improving the management efficiency of other enterprises in the iron and steel industry.
The goal of accurately controlling various components in smelting process of high magnetic induction oriented silicon steel is realized through process optimization of the whole production line in steelmaking area of Rare Earth Steel Plate Co., where the mass fraction of total oxygen in casting blank is controlled at 0.000 4%~0.001 5%; mass fraction of aluminum is controlled at 0.027 0%~0.030 0%; mass fraction of nitrogen is controlled at 0.007 1%~0.008 3% so that the high magnetic induction oriented silicon steel could meet the needs of next step in the rolling process. As a result, its mass production is realized.
The manganese content of molten iron in the production line of steelmaking in Rare Earth Steel Plate Co. is higher so that the highly purified armco iron could not be smelted by converter process. In the paper, it is introduced the demanganization process with double slag in LF is developed through simulating the demanganization condition of converter with LF, starting with such three aspects as basicity of slag, demanganization temperature and oxidability of slag as well as taking full advantage of existing equipment conditions of production line. The slag with high oxidation after tapping of molten steel from converter is utilized in LF, the ingredient of LF clinker is reasonably adjusted to produce efficient slag of demanganization and promote the steel slag reaction through argon stirring so as to create good thermodynamic and dynamical conditions for demanganization. According to the requirements of manganese content of products, double slag and single slag processes are applied in operations to realize the stable batch production of armco iron with the manganese content less than 0.03% and 0.02%.
The surface quality, rimhole, center porosity, center segregation, contents of oxygen and nitrogen and inclusions for the head slab of IF steel produced by a steel mill are studied as well as the rolling defects of head slab are tracked and with the treatment of peeling with flame. The study results showed that the surface quality and rimhole of head slab were improved with the increase of slab length; level of center porosity for internal soundness exceeded the standard at slab length of 1 m, while there was no abnormality seen for center segregation; contents of oxygen and nitrogen tended to decrease with the increase of slab length; number of such inclusions as Al2O3, TiN and complex inclusion of Al2O3-TiN decreased with the increase of slab length; there was large complex inclusion of Al2O3-MgO-CaO at 1 m of head slab; main rolling defects of head slab were such subcutaneous inclusion defects as deoxidation product of Al2O3 and slag entrapment of mould level fluctuation; quality of head slab could be effectively improved with the treatment of peeling with flame.
The circle shear is one of the key equipment in production of cold rolling strip, which is mainly used for cutting to length and trimming of strip. In the paper, the structure and principle of equipment for trimming operation of cold rolling strip is analyzed as well as the relation among use and calibration of shear edge for circle shear, process parameter adjustment and quality of trimming is analyzed and improved by taking the circle shear of cold-rolled steel pickling crew in Inner Mongolia Baotou Steel Rare Earth Steel Plate Co., Ltd. as research object so that the stability of circle shear is improved, probability of trimming defect is reduced and quality of trimming for finished strip steel is improved effectively.
The sink roll mark defect of thick gauge hot-dipped galvanization products is always the bottleneck problem of hot-dip galvanizing line of Baotou Steel. The slagging composition of sink roll is analyzed with the XRD phase analysis. The main factors influencing the defect are the temperature of liquid, Al content of liquid zinc, cleaning quality of strip steel and tension control of cooling tower after galvanizing. The effective control measures are formulated based on the influence factors so that the defect is relieved or eliminated fundamentally.
In this paper, the control strategy of U shaped cooling is researched and developed through controlling coiling temperatures at head and tail of hot rolling aiming at the problems that the fluctuation and differences of mechanical properties along the length direction of steel belt are too great caused by uneven heat dissipation of hot rolling process after coiling for deep drawing series products. As a result, the flexible setup of steel belt with different steel grades and thicknesses could be realized so that the mechanical properties along the length direction of cold rolled products are even and the drawability of products is guaranteed.
There are more factors influencing the performances of ultra low carbon stamping products. In this paper, the influence rule of such parameters as contents of different strengthening elements and annealing temperature as well as levelling process on the performances of stamping products is explored. The results showed that the yield strength of product tended to increase with the increase of contents of carbon, manganese and phosphorus as well as the influence degrees of carbon content on the products with different thicknesses were different; with the increase of annealing temperature, the products mainly underwent such three stages as reverting, recrystallization nucleation and grain growth; tensile strength decreased with the running speed of steel strip in annealing decreased.
With the increase of task load for 2 250 mm hot rolling production line in Inner Mongolia Baotou Steel Rare Earth Steel Plate Co., Ltd., the effect of rolling rhythm on production increase is very important so that the causes influencing rolling rhythm are emphatically analyzed. The rolling rhythm is improved, gap time of rolling is shortened and average hourly output increases by 2.3 pieces through unscrambling and optimizing the factors restricting rolling rhythm in finishing area of 2 250 mm hot rolling production line so that its capacity exceeds the design target of 5.5 million tons per year.
The process design and industrial trial production are carried out based on the technical requirements of 880 MPa, 930 MPa and 980 MPa packaging steel strip as well as the technological processes of conventional 2 250 mm hot continuous rolling production line and 2 030 mm production line with pickling line tandem cold rolling mill in Inner Mongolia Baotou Steel Rare Earth Steel Plate Co., Ltd. and blue annealing production line of customer. The test steel with such composition combination as medium carbon, low silicon and manganese is smelted with such technologies as KR desulfuration and calcium treatment. The mechanical properties of hot rolling, pickling and blue annealing for test steel are analyzed as well as the trial production process satisfying different strength levels of packaging steel is determined. It is found that the pearlite is basically eliminated and the microstructure of ferrite and bainite is formed with the coiling temperature of 500 ℃ so that the strength and elongation of finished product could be improved by comparing the microstructure and properties of hot rolling and performances of steel strip with blue annealing of 600 ℃ and 500 ℃ coiling temperatures. 3 strength levels of packaging steel are successfully developed through trial productions so that the production process is trouble-free as well as the stable production and batch applications are realized.
In this paper, the microstructure and properties of 700 MPa grade beam steel with such two composition designs as low C+Mn+Ti and low C+Mn+Ti+Nb are compared and analyzed. The results showed that the plasticity of single Ti microalloyed product and that of Nb-Ti multi-microalloyed product were the same with the same strength, but the low temperature impact toughness of single Ti microalloyed product was poorer so that its brittle transition was at -20 ℃, while the brittle transition of Nb-Ti multi-microalloyed product was at -50 ℃. It could be improved through increasing the rolling reduction of the first pass of rough rolling and thickness of intermediate billet so as to reach the control level of Nb-Ti multi-microalloyed products.
In this paper, it is elaborated the performance characteristics and strengthening mechanism of cold rolled continuous annealed low alloy high strength steel HC500LA for automobile structure as well as the whole production process plan including chemical composition, hot rolling, cold rolling and continuous annealing processes. The production practices and batch trial of automobile manufacturer showed that the HC500LA products of Baotou Steel was with good comprehensive mechanical properties as well as stable and mature production process so that it was with batch supply capacity.
The hot-dip galvanized extra deep drawing steel for back panel of TV with good surface quality, stamping formability, mechanical properties and paint coating property is successfully developed through scientific composition design as well as reasonable smelting, hot rolling, pickling and hot-dip galvanizing process control. Its formability, corrosion resistance, performance stability and higher level of surface quality control could all satisfy users’ requirements.
The galvanized dual phase steel is the high strength steel widely applied in the field of automobile sheet. In order to meet the requirements of lightweight raw material for automobile manufacturer, the galvanized dual phase steel HC300/500DPD+Z is successfully developed through adopting the microalloying composition system of C-Si-Mn-Cr as well as such reasonable process design as hot rolling, pickling, annealing, hot galvanizing and finishing based on the characteristics of 2 030 mm hot galvanizing production line. The production process and using effects of users showed that its mechanical properties were qualified, production process was mature and it was with good formability to meet users’ requirements when applied for automotive structural parts.
The continuous annealing process of phosphorus high strength IF steel 210P1 is tested. The effects of different continuous annealing temperatures on the microstructure and mechanical properties of cold rolled strip 210P1 are investigated with such analysis methods as optical microscope, scanning electron microscope and universal tensile testing machine. The results showed that the grain size gradually increased, non-recrystallization microstructure transformed to recrystallized microstructure and form of microstructure changed from long strip to equiaxed shape with the increase of annealing temperature. The annealing microstructure of steel 210P1 was all ferrite and there was a small quantity of precipitated phase of TiN at grain boundary. The detrimental phase of FeTiP was not discovered so as to demonstrate the continuous annealing process could not cause the phase of FeTiP to be precipitated. The yield strength and tensile strength tended to decrease, elongation, n value and r value tended to increase as well as r value of steel 210P1 increased obviously especially after the annealing of 780 ℃ with the increase of annealing temperature.
In the paper, the process of developing 500 MPa grade low alloy high strength automobile steel is mainly introduced. With the multi-microalloying treatment technology of Nb and Ti combining with controlled rolling and cooling process, the mechanical properties and cold bending property of manufactured pickled automobile structure steel QStE500TM could meet the standard requirements. Its metallographic structure is mainly quasi-polygonal ferrite and pearlite, grain size is uniform and fine, surface quality is good as well as the stable batch production has been realized. As the representative product of pickled automobile steel for Baotou Steel, it is recognized by users.
In this paper, the effects of Nb with different contents on the microstructure and properties of high strength steel are discussed by taking the hot rolled coils with 650 MPa grade structural steel as research object. The data showed that the yield strength of high strength structural steel reduced by about 15 MPa, tensile strength reduced by about 25 MPa and elongation rate increased by about 1 percentage point with reducing content of Nb by 0.010%. It is found that the fine oval precipitates are rich in Nb and square precipitates are rich in Ti in the high strength steel containing niobium and titanium by comparing the microstructures with transmission electron microscope.
In this paper, such aspects as the design background, design process and practical applications of new-type slab turnover machine are introduced. The new-type slab turnover machine in production line of wide and thick plate is designed based on analyzing the defects of traditional slab turnover machine as well as the process requirements and working condition of newly designed slab turnover machine needed to satisfy. It is with such characteristics as high load capacity, stable and reliable performances as well as large range of cover length of turnover slab so that it is suitable for various load lifting devices of slab and with low construction cost.
The application of eccentricity control for high precision gauge control of tandem cold mill is analyzed through comparing the conventional and extended modes in automatic gauge control (AGC) system of tandem cold mill. Moreover, such influencing factors of thinning for product thickness as eccentricity control of rolling mill, thickness variation of incoming materials, variation of tension control for rolling mill as well as precision of thickness gauge and tachymeter are analyzed by comparing the production situations of rolling mill with different thickness control modes. As a result, the improvement scheme that rolling gauge of rolling mill compensates control model is proposed to improve the thickness precision of products.
In the paper, it is elaborated such faults and problems of axial plunger pump with the existing working condition of hydraulic system in Inner Mongolia Baotou Steel Rare Earth Steel Plate Co., Ltd. as overheating of pump body, sealing failure, system pollution, noises and insufficient flow caused by damage of parts, oil pollution, leakage, friction losses and assembly accuracy. Moreover, their inducements and characteristics are analyzed aiming at the generation of faults as well as damage and operation condition of inner components, quality and cleanliness of oil, system leakage and temperature are checked so as to make effective fault diagnosis for hydraulic system as well as ensure the stable operations of axial plunger pump and hydraulic system.
In order to improve the problem of transverse corner crack for peritectic steel, hypo-peritectic steel, medium carbon steel and microalloyed steel containing B, Nb, V and Ti, the chamfering crystallizer successively comes into service of 1# and 2# conticasters. As a result, the defect of transverse corner crack is improved obviously, but due to the changes of cooling mode at corner, such defects of billet as longitudinal corner crack, scab and indentation appear easily as well as they could even cause the accident of longitudinal crack and bleed-out. In the paper, it is mainly analyzed such common defects of chamfering ingot blank as longitudinal crack, scab and indentation so that the slab defects are effectively controlled through such measures as adjusting the taper coefficient of copper plate with narrow edge and cooling intensity of secondary cooling water as well as optimizing the assembly accuracy of equipment and modification of key equipment.
In the paper, it is introduced the supermatic and informationized solution of intelligent unmanned warehouse with collaborative operation of various unmanned equipment such as crane and ground equipment, intelligent scheduling, intelligent storage location recommendation and trace of the entire process of materials is established aiming at how to effectively improve warehouse management and reduce warehouse cost by exploring the establishment of intelligent unmanned warehouse, analyzing such links of the whole process of warehouse as inbound of coils, swing, classified storage and delivery of cargo from storage as well as taking the new technology of unmanned and automatic equipment as supporting point, informationized and intelligent decision making of warehouse management system as support.
In the paper, it is mainly introduced how the heating zone, soaking zone, slow cooling section, fast cooling section, over aging section and exit section combine such equipment as gas-fired radiant tube, electric radiant tube, draught fan, thermocouple and infrared thermometer to conduct the temperature control of radiant tube and strip steel so that the heating or cooling temperature of strip steel in annealing furnace desired by process could be reached through this two temperature control modes.
In the paper, it is introduced the more elaborate distinction and logic control of different materials, categories, widths, thicknesses, coiling diameters and surface treatment methods with automatic control system through the accurate calculation of model aiming at the “heart-shaped” collapse of coil with thinner strip steel as well as the causes of collapse core for steel coil are analyzed through the change of interlaminar stress for steel coil. Moreover, the cone gradient of coiling tension is realized step by step with the change of coiling diameter as well as the realization and application of tension control scheme of hard core for preventing collapse core are discussed comprehensively.
In the paper, it is expatiated the characteristics and mechanism of cold rolled phosphorous high-strength steel, analyzed various production difficulties of such processes as cold rolling and pickling combining with the chemical compositions and physical properties as well as summarized the countermeasures for such various processes as welding machine, pickling and rolling mill of producing phosphorous high-strength steel through a large number of production practices and optimization of process parameters so that the production line could be with continuous and stable production.
