Over 70 participants attended both in person and virtually, including ISC China President Zhu Yongguan, Honorary President Guo Huadong, Vice Presidents Gong Ke, Hao Luoxi, Yuan Yaxiang, and Jiang Jie, and Advisor to the President Li Jinghai. The attendees also included committee members, experts, and representatives from national academic societies.

Luo Hui, a member of the Leading Party Members’ Group of the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST), attended and addressed the meeting. Officials from the Bureau of International Cooperation of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), the Bureau of International Cooperation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), and the Beijing Association for Science and Technology (BAST) also attended and addressed the meeting.

The meeting reviewed and approved the list of personnel adjustments for ISC China, and received reports from the ISC China Secretariat on its 2025 work review, 2026 work plan, and progress in preparations for the 2026 ISC Mid-term Membership Meeting and Beijing Science Dialogue. Representatives of the organizers of the satellite sessions for the aforementioned ISC event introduced the rationale for hosting these sessions. Experts present engaged in in-depth discussions on deepening cooperation with the ISC.

The meeting emphasized the need to seize the strategic initiative in improving the global science and technology governance system and systematically advance the building of a contingent of experts serving in international organizations. It stressed that cooperation with the ISC should be continuously deepened, and the ISC Mid-term Membership Meeting and Beijing Science Dialogue should be built into a premier scientific event that fosters openness, trust, and collaboration in the international scientific community.
