The tailings of an iron mine in Baotou, Inner Mongolia, contain fluorite resources with large reserve and low CaF2 grade. Unfortunately, the gangue minerals in the tailings, such as ankerite, calcite and barite, share similar floatability with fluorite, resulting in difficulty in fluorite recovery. With DKCS, FX-1 and starch introduced to depress ankerite, calcite and barite respectively, fluorite can be effectively separated from gangue minerals with modified oleate acid FH as the collector. It is shown that a closed-circuit test can result in a fluorite concentrate grading 90.68% CaF2 at 64.69% recovery, showing a comprehensive recovery of fluorite resources from the tailings.

内蒙古包头某铁矿尾矿资源储量大,萤石(CaF2)含量低,其中脉石矿物铁白云石、方解石和重晶石与萤石可浮性相近,导致萤石回收难度较大。采用抑制剂DKCS、抑制剂FX-1、淀粉分别选择性抑制铁白云石、方解石和重晶石,并采用改性油酸FH为萤石捕收剂,实现了萤石与脉石矿物的有效分离,闭路试验获得了CaF2品位90.68%、回收率64.69%的萤石精矿,实现了该尾矿中萤石资源的综合回收。

The tailings of an iron mine in Baotou, Inner Mongolia, contain fluorite resources with large reserve and low CaF2 grade. Unfortunately, the gangue minerals in the tailings, such as ankerite, calcite and barite, share similar floatability with fluorite, resulting in difficulty in fluorite recovery. With DKCS, FX-1 and starch introduced to depress ankerite, calcite and barite respectively, fluorite can be effectively separated from gangue minerals with modified oleate acid FH as the collector. It is shown that a closed-circuit test can result in a fluorite concentrate grading 90.68% CaF2 at 64.69% recovery, showing a comprehensive recovery of fluorite resources from the tailings.

萤石又称作氟石,主要成分为CaF2[1],它是一种不可再生资源,是现代工业的重要矿物原料,被广泛应用于化工、冶金、建材、光学等领域,近年来逐步应用于新材料和新能源领域。2016年,萤石入选中国“战略性矿产目录”[2]
美国地质调查局数据显示,世界萤石基础储量4.7亿吨,可开采储量2.3亿吨。其中南非、墨西哥、中国和蒙古萤石储量位列世界前四,这几个国家的萤石可开采量约占全球萤石总开采量的49.6%。中国萤石基础储量占世界总量的23.4%,探明可采储量仅占全球总量的9.1%,产量达全球总产量的55%以上[3-5]。我国萤石矿富矿少、贫矿多,单一萤石矿床储量较少,储量较大的多为共伴生型矿床。这类矿石性质复杂、矿物种类多、嵌布粒度细、选矿难度大,很多共伴生萤石资源并未得到有效利用[6-9]。随着萤石资源逐步开采,我国单一型萤石矿资源逐年减少,难以满足现阶段工业发展对萤石资源的需求,共伴生型萤石资源的回收利用已成为我国萤石资源回收的发展趋势[3]
内蒙古包头某铁矿尾矿量大,萤石品位较低,脉石矿物包含铁白云石、方解石、重晶石、云母等,脉石矿物与萤石嵌布紧密且粒度较细。采用浮选法回收萤石矿物时,由于矿石中白云石、方解石、重晶石与萤石可浮性相近[10-13],且脉石矿物含量显著高于萤石,萤石回收难度较大。本文针对该矿石特性,开发了两段浮选工艺,采用白云石、方解石和重晶石的高效抑制剂,配合高选择性的改性油酸作为萤石捕收剂,既合理回收了包头铁矿尾矿中的萤石矿物,同时也降低了浮选成本。
试验原料取自内蒙古包头某铁矿磁选后的尾矿(以下称原矿),其化学多元素分析结果见表1,矿物组成分析结果见表2。由表12可知,原矿中萤石含量9.50%,具有可回收价值的矿物主要为萤石,脉石矿物主要为铁白云石、方解石、重晶石、黄铁矿、云母、长石、闪石等,该尾矿萤石回收难度较大,为难选矿石。
试验所用药剂主要包括硫酸铜(硫化矿活化剂,配制成质量浓度2%的溶液使用)、丁黄药(硫化矿捕收剂,配制成质量浓度2%的溶液使用)、碳酸钠(pH值调整剂,配制成质量浓度10%的溶液使用)、草酸(pH调整剂,配制成质量浓度5%的溶液使用)、DKCS(白云石抑制剂,主要有效成分为聚羧酸,购于山东诺辉化工有限公司,配制成质量浓度2%的溶液使用)、FX-1(方解石抑制剂,主要成分为单宁酸,购于山东汶河新材料有限公司,配制成质量浓度2%的溶液使用)、可溶性淀粉(重晶石抑制剂,配制成质量浓度2%的溶液使用)、油酸(萤石捕收剂,直接使用)、皂化油酸(萤石捕收剂,配制成质量浓度2%的溶液使用)、改性油酸FH(萤石捕收剂,购于湖南复多资源科技有限公司,直接使用)。
从包头铁矿尾矿中回收萤石的试验原则流程见图1。试验在XFD型挂槽式浮选机上进行,首先称取一定质量原矿,倒入磨机,磨矿质量浓度60%,调节磨矿时间,磨至矿石单体解离。将磨好的矿浆倒入浮选槽,注入所需浮选用水,按浮选流程加药浮选。浮选后精矿、尾矿分别过滤、烘干、称重、制样,化验CaF2含量,计算产率和回收率,闭路试验精矿进行有害杂质含量分析。
采用化学滴定法检测样品化学成分;采用Bruker公司生产的D8 Advance型X射线衍射仪对样品进行X射线衍射分析;采用美国FEI公司生产的MLA650矿物分析仪检测样品矿物成分。
原矿中萤石与脉石矿物嵌布紧密且粒度较细,不磨矿直接浮选难以实现萤石与脉石矿物的高效分离。按图1所示流程,在抑制剂DKCS用量200 g/t、抑制剂FX-1用量300 g/t、抑制剂淀粉用量200 g/t、捕收剂FH用量200 g/t条件下进行了磨矿细度试验,结果见图2。由图2可知,随着磨矿细度增加,萤石精矿作业产率和作业回收率均呈现先增加后降低的趋势,精矿CaF2品位略有波动。综合考虑品位和回收率,磨矿细度选择-0.074 mm粒级占84.90%。
由原矿性质可知,矿石中主要脉石矿物为铁白云石、方解石、重晶石和云母。在脂肪酸浮选体系中,铁白云石、方解石、重晶石与萤石可浮性相近,难以分离,需要添加高选择性抑制剂来强化萤石与脉石矿物的界面性质差异[14-15]
该原矿中铁白云石含量45.07%,是含量最高的脉石矿物。DKCS是一种复配抑制剂,含有机抑制剂和无机抑制剂,可有效抑制铁白云石。按图1所示流程,在磨矿细度-0.074 mm粒级占84.90%,抑制剂FX-1用量200 g/t、抑制剂淀粉用量200 g/t、捕收剂FH用量200 g/t条件下,进行了抑制剂DKCS用量试验,结果见图3。由图3可知,随着DKCS用量增加,精矿CaF2品位显著增加,精矿中MgO含量显著降低,表明DKCS能有效抑制铁白云石。同时,随着DKCS用量增加,精矿CaF2作业回收率呈现先增加再降低的变化趋势,表明DKCS用量过多也会影响萤石的回收。综合考虑萤石精矿品位和回收率,DKCS用量选择300 g/t。
磨矿细度-0.074 mm粒级占84.90%,抑制剂DKCS用量300 g/t、抑制剂淀粉用量200 g/t、捕收剂FH用量200 g/t条件下,进行了方解石抑制剂FX-1用量试验,结果见图4。油酸浮选体系中方解石可浮性较好,不添加抑制剂FX-1时,精矿中CaCO3含量由原矿的13.11%富集至28.75%;添加抑制剂FX-1后,方解石被显著抑制,随着抑制剂FX-1用量增加,精矿中CaCO3含量显著降低,FX-1对方解石表现出优良的抑制效果。同时,随着FX-1用量增加,精矿CaF2品位显著增加,CaF2作业回收率逐渐降低,FX-1用量过大对萤石回收存在一定影响。综合考虑萤石精矿品位和回收率,FX-1用量选择200 g/t。
磨矿细度-0.074 mm粒级占84.90%,抑制剂DKCS用量300 g/t、抑制剂FX-1用量200 g/t、捕收剂FH用量200 g/t条件下,进行了重晶石抑制剂淀粉用量试验,结果见图5。油酸浮选体系中,不添加重晶石抑制剂时,精矿中BaSO4含量由原矿的1.96%提高至4.75%,对萤石精矿品质有一定影响。淀粉是重晶石良好的抑制剂,随着淀粉用量增加,精矿中BaSO4含量逐渐降低,CaF2品位小幅增加。淀粉用量过大也会影响萤石回收,适宜的淀粉用量为200 g/t。
按照图1所示流程,以碳酸钠和草酸为pH值调整剂,在磨矿细度-0.074 mm粒级占84.90%,抑制剂DKCS用量300 g/t、抑制剂FX-1用量200 g/t、抑制剂淀粉用量200 g/t、捕收剂FH用量200 g/t条件下,进行了矿浆pH值试验,结果见图6。由图6可知,弱酸性(pH=6.13)条件下,萤石精矿CaF2品位较高,但作业回收率较低;弱碱性(pH=8.25)条件下,萤石精矿CaF2作业回收率高于弱酸性条件,但萤石精矿CaF2品位明显降低;中性(pH=7.10)条件下,萤石精矿CaF2品位介于酸性和碱性条件之间,萤石精矿作业回收率与碱性条件相当。选择矿浆pH值中性条件进行浮选为宜。
按照图1所示流程,在磨矿细度-0.074 mm粒级占84.90%,抑制剂DKCS用量300 g/t、抑制剂FX-1用量200 g/t、抑制剂淀粉用量200 g/t、捕收剂用量200 g/t条件下,对比了捕收剂油酸、皂化油酸和改性油酸FH的浮选效果,结果见图7。由图7可知,用量相同时,改性油酸FH可以获得更高的精矿CaF2品位和作业回收率,表明改性油酸FH具有较好的捕收性和选择性。选择改性油酸FH作为萤石捕收剂。
原矿萤石含量较低,大量抑制剂同时添加虽然能得到较高的萤石精矿品位,但萤石回收率较低。为进一步提高萤石回收率,同时降低抑制剂用量,对浮选工艺流程进行了优化,采用两段浮选作业,一段浮选抑制大部分铁白云石和方解石,二段浮选抑制剩余铁白云石和重晶石,试验流程见图8,结果见表3。由表3可知,两段浮选作业可获得CaF2品位90.68%、回收率64.69%的萤石精矿。
萤石精矿MLA检测结果见表4。由表4可知,精矿中萤石含量90.45%,萤石精矿中主要脉石矿物为铁白云石、紫苏辉石、蛇纹石和方解石。
1)内蒙古包头某铁矿尾矿中萤石含量9.50%,脉石矿物主要为铁白云石、方解石、重晶石、黄铁矿、云母、长石和闪石等。由脉石矿物种类和含量可知,该尾矿中萤石回收难度较大,为难选矿石。
2)在油酸体系中,脉石矿物铁白云石、方解石和重晶石与萤石可浮性相近,增加了萤石富集回收的难度。采用两段浮选作业,在磨矿细度-0.074 mm粒级含量84.90%条件下,采用铁白云石抑制剂DKCS、方解石抑制剂FX-1、重晶石抑制剂淀粉、萤石捕收剂改性油酸FH,可以获得CaF2品位90.68%、回收率64.69%的萤石精矿,实现了萤石与脉石矿物的有效分离。
