In order to process copper complex wastewater from electroplating industry, a kind of kaolin was modified by using a modifier of 3-mercaptopropyl trimethoxysilane (MPTS) to be as an adsorbent, and its adsorption of E330-Cu was then studied. It is found that kaolin shall be properly modified at 50 ℃ for 6 hours with the modifier MPTS at an amount of 0.04 mL/g, which is then adopted as an adsorbent for E330-Cu. After 35 min- adsorption at 35 ℃, with E330-Cu at an initial concentration of 5 mg/L, adsorbent at an amount of 15 g/L, and pH value of 4.5, the final adsorption rate can reach 92.50%. It is shown that the adsorption process follows Langmuir isothermal adsorption model and quasi-second-order kinetic model. This kind of adsorbent can be repeatedly used for at least 3 times, and the wastewater after processing can meet the national classⅠdischarge standard. This research can provide reference for the treatment of copper-containing complex wastewater from electroplating industry.

为了处理含电镀络合铜废水,以3-巯丙基三甲氧基硅烷(MPTS)为改性剂,对高岭土进行改性,制备了改性高岭土吸附剂,并研究了其对柠檬酸络合铜(E330-Cu)的吸附效果。适宜的高岭土改性条件为:MPTS相对高岭土用量为0.04 mL/g、改性温度50 ℃、改性时间6 h。改性高岭土吸附剂对E330-Cu适宜的吸附条件为:E330-Cu初始浓度5 mg/L、吸附剂相对用量15 g/L、pH值4.5、吸附时间35 min、吸附温度35 ℃,此时吸附率达到92.50%。吸附过程满足Langmuir等温吸附模型和准二级动力学模型。吸附剂至少可使用3次,处理后废水可达到国家一级排放标准。研究结果可为含电镀络合铜废水的处理提供有力支撑。

为了处理含电镀络合铜废水,以3-巯丙基三甲氧基硅烷(MPTS)为改性剂,对高岭土进行改性,制备了改性高岭土吸附剂,并研究了其对柠檬酸络合铜(E330-Cu)的吸附效果。适宜的高岭土改性条件为:MPTS相对高岭土用量为0.04 mL/g、改性温度50 ℃、改性时间6 h。改性高岭土吸附剂对E330-Cu适宜的吸附条件为:E330-Cu初始浓度5 mg/L、吸附剂相对用量15 g/L、pH值4.5、吸附时间35 min、吸附温度35 ℃,此时吸附率达到92.50%。吸附过程满足Langmuir等温吸附模型和准二级动力学模型。吸附剂至少可使用3次,处理后废水可达到国家一级排放标准。研究结果可为含电镀络合铜废水的处理提供有力支撑。

In order to process copper complex wastewater from electroplating industry, a kind of kaolin was modified by using a modifier of 3-mercaptopropyl trimethoxysilane (MPTS) to be as an adsorbent, and its adsorption of E330-Cu was then studied. It is found that kaolin shall be properly modified at 50 ℃ for 6 hours with the modifier MPTS at an amount of 0.04 mL/g, which is then adopted as an adsorbent for E330-Cu. After 35 min- adsorption at 35 ℃, with E330-Cu at an initial concentration of 5 mg/L, adsorbent at an amount of 15 g/L, and pH value of 4.5, the final adsorption rate can reach 92.50%. It is shown that the adsorption process follows Langmuir isothermal adsorption model and quasi-second-order kinetic model. This kind of adsorbent can be repeatedly used for at least 3 times, and the wastewater after processing can meet the national classⅠdischarge standard. This research can provide reference for the treatment of copper-containing complex wastewater from electroplating industry.

印刷、电镀、染料等行业产生大量电镀铜废水,其中存在很多络合剂,这些络合剂可与铜形成铜-柠檬酸络合物、铜氯络合物、铜-EDTA络合物和铜氨络合物等络合物,使金属铜在一定pH值范围内稳定存在,给废水处理增加了难度[1]。目前,络合金属废水的处理方法主要有化学沉淀法、氧化还原法、光催化氧化法和吸附法[2-5]。其中,吸附法以吸附剂制备简单、能耗低、处理周期短、投资少等优点被广泛应用于处理金属含量低的废水。开发高效廉价的吸附剂是处理络合金属废水的重要研究方向。高岭土储量丰富、价格低廉,但吸附效果并不显著,需要通过改性提高其吸附性能[4-7]。研究表明,在高岭土中引入含巯基的硅烷类偶联剂可显著提高高岭土对金属的吸附性能[6-9]。但目前针对含电镀络合铜废水吸附剂的改性和吸附性能的研究较少。本文以柠檬酸铜模拟废水为研究对象,利用3-巯丙基三甲氧基硅烷(MPTS)对高岭土进行改性,制备了改性高岭土吸附剂,并研究了其对柠檬酸铜模拟废水的吸附效果,可为高岭土改性及其在络合金属废水中的应用提供参考。
实验原料高岭土来自湖南长沙某企业,其主要成分如下:SiO2(52.6%)、Al2O3(45.6%)、Na2O(0.83%)、K2O(0.03%)、CaO(0.36%)、Fe2O3(0.38%)、MgO(0.18%),粒度为-0.15 mm。
主要试剂包括95%乙醇(成都科隆)、3-巯丙基三甲氧基硅烷(MPTS,上海麦克林)、一水合柠檬酸(成都金山)、氯化铜(天津欧博凯)、盐酸(西陇)、氢氧化钠(西陇)、硝酸(西陇),均为分析纯试剂。
主要仪器包括原子吸收分析光谱仪(AA-6300C,日本岛津)、雷磁数字式pH计(PHS-3E,上海仪电)、集热式磁力加热搅拌器(DF-101S,金坛市医疗仪器厂)、比表面与孔隙度分析仪(BSD-PS4,贝士德)、红外光谱仪(IRAffinity-1S,日本岛津)、扫描电镜(Sigma 300,蔡司)等。
准确称取0.27 g CuCl2·2H2O和0.33 g柠檬酸,加水溶解,定容至1 000 mL,得到100 mg/L的柠檬酸络合铜模拟废水(E330-Cu)储备液。实验时取E330-Cu储备液稀释至所需浓度后使用。
称取5.00 g高岭土,加入95%乙醇100 mL,搅拌均匀,在超声波清洗器内超声处理15 min,加入一定量MPTS,在一定温度下搅拌回流冷凝改性一定时间,蒸馏回收乙醇,抽滤,产物用20 mL无水乙醇洗涤3次,于55 ℃烘箱内干燥2 h,即得改性高岭土。
在Cu2+浓度10 mg/L的E330-Cu模拟废水中加入10 g/L改性高岭土,常温下吸附60 min,考察MPTS用量、改性温度、改性时间对改性高岭土吸附性能的影响。
量取一定浓度的E330-Cu模拟废水20 mL,加入一定量改性高岭土,在200 r/min摇床上动态吸附一定时间后,静置吸附6 h,过滤,测定吸附前后溶液中Cu质量浓度,计算吸附率R(%)和吸附量q0(mg/g)。
式中C1C2分别为吸附前、后E330-Cu的质量浓度,mg/L;V为溶液体积,L;m为吸附剂用量,g。
MPTS水解后可同时具有亲水基团(Si—O)和疏水基团(S—H),亲水基团可与高岭土中的O—Al键发生化学反应,使高岭土微细颗粒表面包覆一层有机偶联剂。巯基和羟基官能团均可螯合金属离子,相对而言,巯基对金属的螯合作用更强,形成的配合物更稳定[9-10],反应机理如图1所示。
取5 g高岭土,改性温度60 ℃,改性时间8 h,MPTS加入量分别为0.03、0.04、0.05、0.06、0.07 mL/g(相对高岭土用量),考察了MPTS用量对高岭土吸附效果的影响,结果见图2。由图2可知,随着MPTS用量增加,改性高岭土对E330-Cu的吸附率先增加后减小,MPTS用量0.04 mL/g时,吸附效果最佳。这是因为随着MPTS用量增加,MPTS与高岭土发生缩合脱水反应,高岭土微细颗粒表面被紧密包覆一层MPTS,使S—H基团增多,与金属的螯合能力增加,吸附率增加;但MTPS用量过高时,MTPS发生自聚合反应[9],与高岭土发生反应的MPTS量减少,反而使高岭土引入的巯基减少,吸附位点减少。确定MPTS相对高岭土用量为0.04 mL/g。
取5 g高岭土,MPTS相对高岭土用量为0.04 mL/g,改性时间8 h,改性温度对高岭土吸附效果的影响见图3。由图3可知,随着改性温度升高,吸附率先增加后减小,改性温度50 ℃时,吸附率达到最大值。这是因为MPTS改性高岭土前需进行水解,水解反应为吸热反应,温度升高有利于水解反应的进行。另外,温度升高,利于MPTS与高岭土的缩合脱水反应。但温度过高时,改性高岭土容易发生团聚成为大颗粒物,部分巯基被包裹起来,能与金属螯合的巯基量减少,吸附率降低[10]。确定适宜的改性温度为50 ℃。
取5 g高岭土,MPTS相对高岭土用量为0.04 mL/g,改性温度50 ℃,改性时间对高岭土吸附效果的影响见图4。由图4可知,随着改性时间延长,吸附率先增加后减小,改性时间6 h时,吸附率达到最大值。这是因为随着改性的进行,MPTS不断接枝到高岭土表面,使高岭土表面巯基官能团增多,对Cu的螯合位点增加,吸附率增加。改性6 h,MPTS与高岭土的缩合反应基本完成,吸附率达到峰值;继续延长改性时间,高岭土颗粒之间的碰撞概率增加,团聚严重[11],部分巯基被包裹起来,能与金属螯合的巯基量减少,吸附率下降。确定适宜的改性时间为6 h,此时吸附率为53.25%。
改性前后高岭土红外光谱见图5。从图5可以看出,改性前后高岭土的FTIR谱图吸收峰形大致相同,3 628 cm-1和3 780 cm-1处为高岭土中O—H的伸缩振动吸收峰,1 020 cm-1处为Si—O的伸缩振动吸收峰[12],773 cm-1处为Si—O、Si—Si、Si—Al伸缩振动吸收缔合峰[13]。644 cm-1和529 cm-1处增加了两个新的吸收峰,这是改性后Si—O—Si的伸缩振动和弯曲振动引起的[14],是MPTS与高岭土发生缩合反应后生成的。
改性前后高岭土的表面形态变化情况见图6。由图6可知,改性前高岭土颗粒小,表面粗糙,比表面积大;MPTS改性后高岭土表面颗粒大,表面较平滑,这是因为在高岭土表面引入了MPTS,使表面光滑,出现一定程度的团聚[12]
对吸附E330-Cu前后的改性高岭土进行了X射线衍射表征,结果如图7所示。从图7可以看出,吸附前改性高岭土中没有铜元素,吸附之后改性高岭土中有铜元素,表明改性高岭土对铜产生了一定的吸附。
改性高岭土加入量10 g/L、吸附温度25 ℃、吸附时间60 min、E330-Cu溶液pH值4.0,E330-Cu初始浓度对改性高岭土吸附效果的影响见图8。由图8可知,吸附率随着E330-Cu初始浓度增加逐渐下降,E330-Cu初始浓度5 mg/L时,吸附率达到了65%。这是因为完成“接枝”后,吸附位点固定,随着E330-Cu浓度增加,巯基位点不足,吸附率下降,但E330-Cu浓度过低没有研究意义。适宜的E330-Cu初始浓度为5 mg/L。
E330-Cu初始浓度5 mg/L,其他条件不变,吸附剂相对用量对吸附率的影响见图9。从图9可以看出,随着吸附剂相对用量增加,改性高岭土对E330-Cu的吸附率逐渐升高,吸附剂相对用量超过15 g/L时,吸附率变化不大。其原因是随着改性高岭土用量增加,吸附位点增加,吸附率增加;继续增加吸附剂用量,溶液中E330-Cu浓度相对较小[12],不能形成稳定的螯合物,达到了吸附平衡,吸附率增加缓慢。适宜的吸附剂相对用量为15 g/L。
吸附剂相对用量15 g/L,其他条件不变,pH值对吸附效果的影响见图10。由图10可知,随着pH值增大,吸附率先增大后减小,在pH值为5时吸附率达到峰值,pH值大于5后,吸附率开始下降。这是因为随着酸度降低,巯基中的H+易离去,络合效果更好[15],吸附率逐渐升高;pH值大于5后,OH-浓度升高,会抢夺络合的Cu,形成氢氧化铜沉淀,而氢氧化铜溶解在络合剂中,致使吸附率下降。适宜的pH值为5。
pH值为5,其他条件不变,吸附时间对吸附效果的影响见图11。从图11可以看出,随着吸附时间增加,吸附率逐渐增加,吸附时间大于30 min后,吸附率趋于平衡。适宜的吸附时间为30 min。
吸附时间30 min,其他条件不变,吸附温度对吸附效果的影响见图12。由图12可知,随着吸附温度升高,改性高岭土对Cu的吸附率先快速上升后趋于平缓。升高温度有利于改性高岭土的巯基中H+的离去,提高了巯基活化,利于吸附,且温度高时吸附剂与络合铜碰撞概率增加,也利于吸附。35 ℃时,吸附率达到峰值;继续提高温度,吸附率变化不大,从成本考虑,选择吸附温度35 ℃,此时吸附率为92.42%。
为了进一步优化改性高岭土吸附条件,采用正交试验法对吸附条件进行研究。因金属初始浓度和吸附剂相对用量改变,吸附条件变化大,参考了单因素实验结果,把这两个条件固定为:E330-Cu初始浓度5 mg/L,吸附剂相对用量15 g/L。正交试验条件及结果见表1
表1结果表明,影响改性高岭土吸附条件主次顺序依次为:pH值>吸附温度>吸附时间。最优吸附条件组合为:pH值4.5、吸附温度35 ℃、吸附时间35 min。根据正交试验结果进行了验证实验,三次平行验证实验所得吸附率分别为92.38%、92.62%、92.50%,取平均值,得到最佳吸附条件下E330-Cu吸附率为92.50%。
对吸附时间单因素实验结果进行准一级动力学和准二级动力学拟合[16],拟合结果见表2。拟合结果表明,准二级动力学模型能较好地描述改性高岭土吸附络合铜离子的吸附过程。
吸附等温线是吸附平衡时平衡浓度与吸附量之间的关系曲线,可用来描述吸附剂吸附量的大小。常用的吸附等温模型有Langmuir和Freundlich等温吸附模型。对吸附初始浓度单因素实验数据进行了拟合,结果见表3。拟合结果表明,改性高岭土吸附络合铜离子更符合Langmuir等温吸附模型,说明吸附为单层吸附,以化学吸附为主。
吸附材料循环利用性能的好坏决定着吸附剂的成本和应用前景。进行了连续吸附实验,结果见表4。从表4可以看出,吸附剂连续使用3次后,吸附率开始明显下降,说明吸附剂至少可使用3次。同时,此吸附剂对浓度5 mg/L的E330-Cu废水进行处理后,排水可达到国家《污水综合排放标准》[17]中的一级标准。
1)适宜的改性高岭土制备条件为:MPTS相对高岭土用量0.04 mL/g,改性温度50 ℃,改性时间6 h。红外光谱及扫描电镜分析结果表明,MPTS已成功接枝到了高岭土上;X射线衍射表征结果表明,改性高岭土对铜有一定吸附效果。
2)改性高岭土吸附E300-Cu适宜的吸附条件为:E330-Cu初始浓度5 mg/L,吸附剂相对用量15 g/L,pH值4.5,吸附时间35 min,吸附温度35 ℃。该条件下改性高岭土对E300-Cu的吸附率达到92.50%。重复吸附实验结果表明,吸附剂至少可使用3次,处理后废水可达到国家一级排放标准。
3)吸附动力学和等温吸附模型拟合结果表明,改性高岭土对络合铜的吸附过程符合准二级动力学模型和Langmuir等温吸附模型。
