Experiments were performed to study the effect of quaternary ammonium salt Y28, as a collector, on the flotation performance of diaspore and gangue silicate minerals of kaolinite and muscovite, and the interaction mechanism between Y28 and the surface of minerals was also explored by analyzing adsorption capacity, contact angle, zeta potential, FTIR analysis and XPS analysis. The results show that with the collector Y28 at a dosage of 90 mg/L and pulp pH of 7, the recoveries of diaspore, kaolinite and muscovite were 25.63%, 83.21% and 81.24%, respectively. The collector Y28 is primarily adsorbed onto the surface of the minerals by physical adsorption, with the adsorption strength in the following descending order: kaolinite>muscovite>diaspore.

研究了捕收剂季铵盐Y28对一水硬铝石与脉石硅酸盐矿物高岭石和白云母的浮选行为,通过吸附量、接触角、Zeta电位、FTIR分析和XPS分析对Y28与矿物表面的作用机理进行了探究。结果表明:捕收剂Y28用量90 mg/L、矿浆pH值为7时,一水硬铝石回收率为25.63%,高岭石和白云母回收率分别为83.21%和81.24%;Y28主要以物理吸附的方式吸附在矿物表面,吸附强度顺序为:高岭石>白云母>一水硬铝石。

Experiments were performed to study the effect of quaternary ammonium salt Y28, as a collector, on the flotation performance of diaspore and gangue silicate minerals of kaolinite and muscovite, and the interaction mechanism between Y28 and the surface of minerals was also explored by analyzing adsorption capacity, contact angle, zeta potential, FTIR analysis and XPS analysis. The results show that with the collector Y28 at a dosage of 90 mg/L and pulp pH of 7, the recoveries of diaspore, kaolinite and muscovite were 25.63%, 83.21% and 81.24%, respectively. The collector Y28 is primarily adsorbed onto the surface of the minerals by physical adsorption, with the adsorption strength in the following descending order: kaolinite>muscovite>diaspore.

铝土矿中的硅含量过高对拜耳法生产氧化铝过程有很大影响,硅元素主要赋存于高岭石、伊利石、白云母和石英等硅酸盐矿物中,其在氧化铝溶出过程产生的硅酸钠会降低产品质量、影响企业经济效益。国内外学者进行了大量的脱硅研究,如化学法脱硅、生物法脱硅和浮选法脱硅等。化学法脱硅存在能耗高和碱耗量较大等缺点。生物法脱硅存在微生物筛选困难、培养周期长、脱硅效率低和细菌的遗传不稳定等缺点。浮选法脱硅工艺简单、高效环保、成本低廉,但正浮选脱硅存在药剂用量大、选择性差、泡沫产品量较大等缺点;反浮选脱硅符合浮选中“浮少抑多”的选矿原则,具有药剂用量少、节能、泥化程度低等优点,但反浮选存在传统捕收剂浮选速度慢、选择性差、泡沫黏性强等缺点,制约了其工业化应用[1-2]。筛选和研发新型反浮选脱硅药剂具有重要意义。
研究者对反浮选捕收剂做了大量研究,取得了很好的研究成果[3],但仍存在捕收剂水溶性差、对含硅矿物选择性较差、药剂用量大和对矿浆酸碱度要求高等缺点,导致一水硬铝石与脉石硅酸盐矿物间难以实现有效分离[4-5]。基于此,本文采用选择性较好的季铵盐Y28为捕收剂,研究一水硬铝石和脉石硅酸盐矿物的浮选行为,并通过吸附量、接触角、Zeta电位、FTIR和XPS分析药剂与矿物间的作用机理。
试验矿样一水硬铝石、高岭石和白云母均为纯矿物,其中一水硬铝石取自贵州省某铝土矿选矿厂,纯度为96.10%,高岭石和白云母均购自广西,纯度分别为96.50%和99.50%。3种纯矿物试样均符合纯矿物矿物组成要求。通过手选、细磨、筛分,取-0.074 mm粒级试样用于试验。
试验主要试剂包括pH值调整剂HCl、NaOH,均为化学纯试剂;试验用水为去离子水。捕收剂Y28是实验室自制的一种高效、可生物降解的绿色含碳碳键双子型季铵盐表面活性剂,来源于一种清洁剂中的重要组成成分,其分子结构包括两个离子基、两个不对称的长链烷基和一个连接基团。
试验主要仪器包括XFGCⅡ型实验室充气挂槽浮选机、DHG-9045Y立式干燥箱、SHZ-D(Ⅲ)循环水式多用真空泵、希玛pH测试笔、FA2004电子天平、JC2000D3W型接触角测定仪、TU-1901紫外分光光度计、Delsa Nano-C Zeta电位仪、Nicolet 6700傅里叶红外光谱仪、Thermo Scientific K-Alpha光电子能谱仪。
每次称取矿样2.00 g,加入浮选槽中,再加入30.00 mL去离子水,打开旋转主轴搅拌,转速1 992 r/min,依次加入pH值调整剂、捕收剂,浮选2 min,将泡沫产品和槽内产品分别过滤、干燥、称重,计算产率和回收率。
采用TU-1901紫外分光光度计测量捕收剂Y28在矿物表面的吸附量;采用JC2000D3W型接触角测定仪测量矿物表面接触角,每个溶液在不同位置测定3次,取平均值;采用Delsa Nano-C纳米粒度及电位分析仪测定捕收剂作用前后矿物表面的动电位,每个试样测试3次,取平均值作为动电位值;采用Nicolet 6700傅里叶红外光谱仪对捕收剂作用前后的矿物颗粒进行官能团变化的分析表征;采用Thermo Scientific K-Alpha光电子能谱进行XPS测试,并使用Advantage软件对测试光谱进行分析。
矿浆pH值为7,Y28用量对矿物回收率的影响如图1所示。随着Y28用量增加,一水硬铝石和高岭石回收率均增加,但白云母回收率先增加后减少;Y28用量从60 mg/L增加到90 mg/L时,一水硬铝石回收率从21.06%增加到25.63%,高岭石回收率从66.25%增加到83.21%,白云母回收率从71.99%增加到81.24%;Y28用量大于90 mg/L后,一水硬铝石回收率增加幅度加大,高岭石回收率趋于平缓,白云母回收率减少。适宜的Y28用量为90 mg/L。
Y28用量90 mg/L,不同矿浆pH值条件下的矿物回收率如图2所示,随着矿浆pH值增加,3种矿物回收率均先增加后减少;pH=7时3种矿物回收率均达到峰值:一水硬铝石回收率为25.63%,高岭石回收率为83.21%,白云母回收率为81.24%。在中性环境中可以实现一水硬铝石与高岭石和白云母的分离。
矿浆pH值为7,不同Y28用量条件下Y28在3种矿物表面的吸附量如图3所示。由图3可知,随着Y28用量增加,Y28在一水硬铝石、高岭石表面的吸附量增加,但在白云母表面的吸附量先增加后减少。Y28在一水硬铝石表面的吸附量远小于在高岭石和白云母表面的吸附量,说明Y28对高岭石和白云母的捕收作用强于对一水硬铝石的捕收作用。
Y28用量90 mg/L,不同矿浆pH值条件下Y28在3种矿物表面的吸附量见图4。随着矿浆pH值增加,Y28在一水硬铝石表面的吸附量先增加后减少,Y28在高岭石表面的吸附量缓慢增加后减少,Y28在白云母表面的吸附量先减少后增加再减少。这与单矿物浮选试验结果基本一致。
矿浆pH值为7,捕收剂Y28用量90 mg/L条件下,Y28作用前后矿物表面接触角变化见表1。经Y28作用后,3种矿物表面的接触角均有不同程度增大,Y28大幅增大了高岭石和白云母表面的疏水性,而对一水硬铝石表面的疏水性影响不大,Y28对3种矿物润湿性改变程度顺序为:高岭石>白云母>一水硬铝石。
捕收剂Y28用量90 mg/L,Y28对矿物表面Zeta电位的影响如图5所示。一水硬铝石、高岭石、白云母的零电点分别为6.0、2.5、3.5。矿浆pH值3~11范围内,一水硬铝石、高岭石、白云母的Zeta电位均随着矿浆pH值增大而减小,与Y28作用后,3种矿物表面电位均正移,这可能是由于Y28在矿浆中溶解产生带正电荷的基团吸附在矿物表面上,改变了矿物表面电位。Y28与高岭石和白云母表面发生静电吸引力的强度大于其与一水硬铝石表面的作用力,这与吸附量测试结果一致。
矿浆pH值为7、捕收剂Y28用量90 mg/L条件下,Y28作用前后矿物表面红外光谱如图6所示。从图6可以看出,Y28在3 332 cm-1处出现了—NH2的对称伸缩振动峰,2 926 cm-1处出现了—CH3的不对称伸缩振动峰,2 853 cm-1处为—CH2—的对称伸缩振动峰,1 466 cm-1处出现了N—H的弯曲振动峰,1 022 cm-1处为长链脂肪酸C—N的伸展振动峰,721 cm-1处为—CH2—的摇摆振动吸收峰,1 629 cm-1处为—OH弯曲振动峰[6]。一水硬铝石在2 920 cm-1处的峰为—OH的拉伸模式,2 116与1 986 cm-1处为一水硬铝石表面O—H的伸缩振动吸收峰,1 084、966和751 cm-1处为—OH的弯曲振动峰,596 cm-1处为Al—O的拉伸和振动[7],加入Y28未出现新的特征峰,966、1 084 cm-1处有明显的特征峰峰宽变化和特征峰加强。
高岭石在3 687 cm-1处有—OH键的吸收峰,3 620 cm-1处为高岭石表面上—OH振动引起的吸收峰,1 086 cm-1处为Si—O伸缩振动峰[8],912 cm-1处出现—OH摆动吸收峰,997 cm-1处为Si—O—Al振动吸收峰,加入Y28未出现新的特征峰,997和1 086 cm-1处有明显的特征峰峰宽变化和特征峰加强。白云母在3 624 cm-1处为Al—OH中—OH伸缩振动峰。1 075 cm-1处为白云母中Si—O拉伸振动峰[9],807 cm-1处为O—Si—O对称振动峰[10],749 cm-1处为Si—O对称振动峰,加入Y28未出现新的特征峰,1 075 cm-1处有明显的特征峰峰宽变化和特征峰加强。
通过FTIR分析发现,加入Y28未出现新的特征峰,只是在3种矿物中出现了明显的峰宽变化和特征峰加强,一水硬铝石中为—OH的弯曲振动峰,高岭石中为Si—O伸缩振动峰和Si—O—Al振动吸收峰,白云母中为Si—O拉伸振动峰,可能是Y28中的长链脂肪酸C—N发生了作用所致。
药剂吸附在矿物表面后,会使矿物表面元素相对浓度和原子电子结合能改变,这可以用于分析和探讨药剂在矿物表面的吸附方式[11]。Y28用量90 mg/L、矿浆pH值为7条件下,Y28作用前后矿物表面的XPS全谱见图7,Y28作用前后矿物表面原子相对浓度变化见表2。由图7表2可知,与Y28作用后,一水硬铝石、高岭石和白云母矿物表面的C元素和N元素相对浓度均有所增大,O元素和Al元素相对浓度均有所减小,在高岭石和白云母表面Si元素相对浓度均减小,白云母表面K元素相对浓度减小。Y28中含有的N元素在3种矿物表面的相对浓度均增大,在高岭石表面增幅最大,其次是白云母表面,这与吸附量测试结果一致。
Y28处理前后,一水硬铝石中O1s轨道结合能由531.57 eV变为531.59 eV,偏移了+0.02 eV;高岭石中O1s轨道结合能由531.89 eV变为532.02 eV,偏移了+0.13 eV,Si2p1/2轨道结合能由103.13 eV变为103.32 eV,偏移了+0.19 eV,Si2p3/2轨道结合能由102.55 eV变为102.64 eV,偏移了+0.09 eV;白云母中O1s轨道结合能由531.27 eV变为531.30 eV,偏移了+0.03 eV,Si2p1/2轨道结合能由102.54 eV变为102.48 eV,偏移了+0.06 eV,Si2p3/2轨道结合能由101.96 eV变为101.99 eV,偏移了+0.03 eV。由此可以发现,Y28对矿物表面的吸附位点为O原子和Si原子,对3种矿物表面元素的结合能偏移均小于0.2 eV[12],即Y28在矿物表面的吸附形式为物理吸附。
在季铵盐Y28浮选体系中,考察了捕收剂Y28用量、矿浆pH值对一水硬铝石、高岭石、白云母3种矿物浮选行为的影响,并通过矿物表面吸附量、接触角、Zeta电位、润湿性、FTIR和XPS分析,揭示Y28对3种矿物的吸附机理。结果表明:Y28对一水硬铝石与脉石硅酸盐矿物的可浮性差异较大,一水硬铝石可浮性明显低于脉石硅酸盐矿物,在Y28用量90 mg/L、pH=7条件下,一水硬铝石、高岭石、白云母的回收率分别为25.63%、83.21%、81.24%;Y28主要以物理吸附的方式不同程度地吸附在3种矿物表面,Y28能显著改变高岭石和白云母矿物的表面电位和疏水性,而对一水硬铝石的表面电位和疏水性改变甚小;Y28对硅酸盐矿物具有很好的浮选选择性。
