With spent lithium manganese iron phosphate cathode powder as raw material, a leaching system of DL-malic acid combined with sodium persulfate was employed to selectively recover Li, Mn and Fe elements. The effects of factors, including DL-malic acid concentration, molar ratio of Na2S2O8 to LiFe0.4Mn0.6PO4, liquid-to-solid ratio, leaching temperature, and leaching time on the leaching rates of Li, Fe, Mn and P were investigated. Then, the left leaching residue was analyzed by using SEM and XRD, and the leachate was analyzed by FTIR. Results show that with DL-malic acid at a concentration of 0.4 mol/L, Na2S2O8 and LiFe0.4Mn0.6PO4 at a molar ratio of 0.4, liquid-to-solid ratio of 15 mL/g, 3 h leaching process at 30 ℃ can bring the leaching rates of Li, Fe, Mn and P at 98.76%, 2.37%, 96.89% and 52.45%, respectively, and also Li, Fe, Mn and P in the leachate in a mass concentration of 2.98, 0.21, 12.66 and 6.52 g/L, respectively. It is found that iron phosphate is the dominant component in the leaching residue. During the leaching process, DL-malic acid and Mn2+ form a complex that can be solved in leachate, leading to efficient separation between iron and manganese.

以废旧磷酸锰铁锂正极粉为原料,采用DL-苹果酸-Na2S2O8耦合浸出体系选择性回收锂、锰、铁金属,考察DL-苹果酸浓度、Na2S2O8与磷酸锰铁锂物质的量比、液固比L/S、浸出温度、浸出时间对锂、铁、锰、磷浸出率影响,并对耦合体系浸出渣进行了SEM、XRD分析,对浸出液成分进行FTIR分析。结果表明:在DL-苹果酸浓度0.4 mol/L、Na2S2O8与磷酸锰铁锂物质的量比0.4、液固比15 mL/g、浸出温度30 ℃、浸出时间3 h条件下,锂、铁、锰、磷浸出率分别为98.76%、2.37%、96.89%、52.45%,浸出液中锂、铁、锰、磷质量浓度分别为2.98、0.21、12.66、6.52 g/L;浸出渣主要成分为磷酸铁,浸出过程DL-苹果酸与Mn2+形成配合物溶于浸出液,实现铁锰高效分离。

以废旧磷酸锰铁锂正极粉为原料,采用DL-苹果酸-Na2S2O8耦合浸出体系选择性回收锂、锰、铁金属,考察DL-苹果酸浓度、Na2S2O8与磷酸锰铁锂物质的量比、液固比L/S、浸出温度、浸出时间对锂、铁、锰、磷浸出率影响,并对耦合体系浸出渣进行了SEM、XRD分析,对浸出液成分进行FTIR分析。结果表明:在DL-苹果酸浓度0.4 mol/L、Na2S2O8与磷酸锰铁锂物质的量比0.4、液固比15 mL/g、浸出温度30 ℃、浸出时间3 h条件下,锂、铁、锰、磷浸出率分别为98.76%、2.37%、96.89%、52.45%,浸出液中锂、铁、锰、磷质量浓度分别为2.98、0.21、12.66、6.52 g/L;浸出渣主要成分为磷酸铁,浸出过程DL-苹果酸与Mn2+形成配合物溶于浸出液,实现铁锰高效分离。

With spent lithium manganese iron phosphate cathode powder as raw material, a leaching system of DL-malic acid combined with sodium persulfate was employed to selectively recover Li, Mn and Fe elements. The effects of factors, including DL-malic acid concentration, molar ratio of Na2S2O8 to LiFe0.4Mn0.6PO4, liquid-to-solid ratio, leaching temperature, and leaching time on the leaching rates of Li, Fe, Mn and P were investigated. Then, the left leaching residue was analyzed by using SEM and XRD, and the leachate was analyzed by FTIR. Results show that with DL-malic acid at a concentration of 0.4 mol/L, Na2S2O8 and LiFe0.4Mn0.6PO4 at a molar ratio of 0.4, liquid-to-solid ratio of 15 mL/g, 3 h leaching process at 30 ℃ can bring the leaching rates of Li, Fe, Mn and P at 98.76%, 2.37%, 96.89% and 52.45%, respectively, and also Li, Fe, Mn and P in the leachate in a mass concentration of 2.98, 0.21, 12.66 and 6.52 g/L, respectively. It is found that iron phosphate is the dominant component in the leaching residue. During the leaching process, DL-malic acid and Mn2+ form a complex that can be solved in leachate, leading to efficient separation between iron and manganese.

磷酸铁锂电池正极材料具有高的安全性、低的生产成本和良好的循环稳定性,在电动车领域占据竞争优势,但较低的能量密度和低的电压平台限制了其应用范围[1]。磷酸锰铁锂兼具磷酸铁锂的热稳定性和磷酸锰锂的高电压高能量密度[2-3],有望升级替代磷酸铁锂材料成为未来动力电池主流正极材料体系[4]。随着磷酸锰铁锂材料的规模化量产及应用推广,退役磷酸锰铁锂电池资源化处理成为废锂电池循环利用产业的现实问题[5]。目前,主要通过湿法冶金工艺对废旧磷酸锰铁锂电池进行选择性浸出或全溶后选择性沉淀回收金属盐,湿法冶金工艺回收所得产品盐纯度高,但存在工艺流程长、回收经济效益差等缺点,阻碍了其工业化应用[6-7]
Na2S2O8可选择性浸出废旧磷酸锰铁锂中的Li+[8],使用硫酸溶解废旧磷酸锰铁锂后,利用有机酸与过渡金属形成配合物的性质差异[9],在磷酸根溶液体系中DL-苹果酸与铁、锰发生选择性络合,分离铁和锰。本文通过DL-苹果酸和Na2S2O8耦合浸出溶液体系对磷酸锰铁锂进行回收处理,在耦合体系下选择性浸出锂、锰,铁元素以磷酸铁形式留在渣中,以短流程工艺选择性分离铁锰,实现对废旧磷酸锰铁锂的高效分离回收,重点研究了DL-苹果酸浓度、Na2S2O8与磷酸锰铁锂物质的量比、浸出液固比、浸出时间、浸出温度对回收各金属元素的影响,以期为废旧磷酸锰铁锂电池正极材料规模化综合回收利用提供可行方法。
试验原料为湖南邦普循环科技有限公司回收的废旧磷酸锰铁锂电池经放电、拆解、正极片破碎、打粉、筛分后碱浸获得的正极粉,原料主要元素组成如表1所示。原料主要化学成分为LiFe0.4Mn0.6PO4,其他杂质含量较低。
试验药剂Na2S2O8和DL-苹果酸为分析纯试剂,苹果酸锰为食品级试剂。试验用水为纯水机制备的纯水。
试验设备包括HH-1数显恒温水浴锅、HD2025W电动搅拌机、MN-T-40L/H超纯水机、Icap7200等离子体发射光谱仪、D/max2200PC型X射线衍射仪、FEI/Apreo-C场发射扫描电镜、FTIR-650S傅里叶变换红外光谱仪。
称取50 g废旧磷酸锰铁锂正极粉,按照液固比(体积质量比)制浆后,按设定浓度和Na2S2O8与磷酸锰铁锂物质的量比加入DL-苹果酸与Na2S2O8,设定水浴锅温度,在搅拌速率300 r/min条件下浸出一定时间后过滤,根据滤液中元素含量计算浸出率。
Na2S2O8将磷酸锰铁锂中Fe2+氧化为Fe3+形成FePO4沉淀,将Mn2+氧化为MnO2沉淀,而Li+以Li2SO4形式进入浸出液。发生的化学反应[10]如式(1)和(2)所示。Na2S2O8浸出体系可实现对磷酸锰铁锂中Li的选择性浸出,但铁、锰沉淀在渣中无法有效分离。DL-苹果酸具有羧酸根,可与过渡金属形成配合物,在Na2S2O8浸出体系中引入DL-苹果酸,可能发生的化学反应如式(3)~(5)所示。调控DL-苹果酸和Na2S2O8耦合浸出体系的溶液酸度、有机酸浓度和Na2S2O8用量,调节浸出体系活度促进式(3)的反应、减弱式(2)和式(5)的反应,实现对铁锰元素的选择性分离。
Na2S2O8/磷酸锰铁锂物质的量比0.5,液固比10 mL/g,废旧磷酸锰铁锂正极粉在30 ℃下浸出4 h,DL-苹果酸浓度对各元素浸出率的影响如图1所示。不同DL-苹果酸浓度下锂浸出率均在96%以上。随着DL-苹果酸浓度升高,Mn浸出率大幅上升。DL-苹果酸浓度0.6 mol/L时,Mn浸出率达到97.98%,Fe浸出率为12.45%,P浸出率为53.12%。为实现铁锰选择性分离,浸出体系适宜的DL-苹果酸浓度为0.4 mol/L。
DL-苹果酸浓度0.4 mol/L,其他条件不变,Na2S2O8/磷酸锰铁锂物质的量比对各元素浸出率的影响如图2所示。随着Na2S2O8/磷酸锰铁锂物质的量比增加,Li浸出率先快速上升后趋于平稳,Mn浸出率先快速上升然后下降,P浸出率稳定上升后下降,Fe浸出率始终不超过10%。Na2S2O8/磷酸锰铁锂物质的量比0.4时,Li、Mn、P和Fe浸出率分别为97.36%、92.38%、45.42%和3.59%,实现Li、Mn高效浸出的同时可有效分离铁和锰。考虑Na2S2O8过量易分解有机酸或氧化Mn2+,浸出体系适宜的Na2S2O8/磷酸锰铁锂物质的量比为0.4。
Na2S2O8/磷酸锰铁锂物质的量比0.4,其他条件不变,液固比对各元素浸出率的影响如图3所示。液固比增至10 mL/g时,Li、Mn浸出率分别为98.21%、92.38%,液固比继续提升对Li、Mn浸出率影响不大;Fe浸出率基本小于4.16%。增加液固比可提升传质效率,加快浸出反应速率,提高元素浸出率,增加液固比同时引入大量水,降低后端元素浓度,成本增加。综合考虑,磷酸锰铁锂浸出体系适宜的液固比为15 mL/g。
液固比15 mL/g,其他条件不变,浸出温度对各元素浸出率的影响如图4所示。随着浸出温度上升,Li浸出率保持在98%以上,Fe浸出率在1.98%以下,Mn浸出率大幅下降,P浸出率小幅下降。Na2S2O8与DL-苹果酸耦合浸出体系中,温度升高时,Na2S2O8与DL-苹果酸间反应速率提升,有机酸配体减少,易导致Mn2+氧化成MnO2沉淀或Mn2+与磷酸根产生磷酸锰沉淀,降低各元素选择性浸出分离程度。适宜的浸出温度为30 ℃。
浸出温度30 ℃,其他条件不变,浸出时间对各元素浸出率的影响如图5所示。随着浸出时间增加,Li、Mn浸出率先快速增加后趋于平稳,P、Fe浸出率小幅变化。浸出时间3 h时,Li、Mn、P、Fe浸出率分别为98.89%、96.74%、52.21%、1.26%。Na2S2O8持续将Fe2+氧化为Fe3+,反应使溶液酸度持续降低,从而产生磷酸铁沉淀。适宜的浸出时间为3 h。
根据上述试验确定适宜的浸出条件为:DL-苹果酸浓度0.4 mol/L,Na2S2O8/磷酸锰铁锂物质的量比0.4,液固比15 mL/g,浸出温度30 ℃,浸出时间3 h。在该条件下进行重复验证试验,结果如表2所示。在适宜的试验条件下,锂、铁、锰、磷平均浸出率分别为98.76%、2.37%、96.89%、52.45%,浸出液中锂、铁、锰、磷平均质量浓度分别为2.98、0.21、12.66、6.52 g/L。
DL-苹果酸浓度0.4 mol/L,Na2S2O8/磷酸锰铁锂物质的量比0.4,液固比15 mL/g,浸出温度30 ℃时,浸出时间对浸出液pH值的影响如图6所示。耦合体系浸出液原始pH值为1.3,因Na2S2O8在水中缓慢分解释放H+,DL-苹果酸与废旧磷酸锰铁锂发生反应,浸出时间0.5 h时溶液pH值降至1.1。之后,随着磷酸锰铁锂发生反应,浸出液pH值逐渐升高,浸出时间3 h时,pH值上升至终点值2.4。反应的pH值范围内,大部分铁以磷酸铁形态存在于渣中,纯磷酸锰体系在pH=2.2时开始沉淀,DL-苹果酸可与锰形成配合物来降低其沉淀率,使锰基本溶解在耦合体系溶液中[8]
磷酸锰铁锂正极粉原料和耦合浸出体系选择性浸出渣SEM形貌如图7所示。磷酸锰铁锂正极粉表面存在形状规整的纳米颗粒及由纳米颗粒聚结而成的块状颗粒,且表面有少量黏结剂存在。经过耦合浸出后,浸出渣表面规则形纳米颗粒溶解,表面呈现相对致密的结构,推测磷酸锰铁锂在耦合体系下溶解时锰与DL-苹果酸配位溶解,铁与磷酸根沉积在颗粒表面形成相对致密结构。
图8为磷酸锰铁锂正极粉原料与选择性浸出渣的XRD图谱。浸出渣中主峰位置相对于原料峰位发生向右偏移,浸出渣中衍射峰减少,嵌入磷酸铁晶格中的Mn脱出,使渣中磷酸铁纯度提升[11]图9为浸出液干燥固体与DL-苹果酸锰红外光谱图。在1 330 cm-1和1 123 cm-1处出现了羟酸盐中羧基的伸缩振动峰位,3 435 cm-1处出现了羟酸盐中—OH特征振动峰位,与苹果酸锰体系特征峰(—OH,3 390 cm-1;羧基,1 298 cm-1,1 087 cm-1)基本符合,DL-苹果酸与锰反应生成配合物,提升锰浸出率。
磷酸锰铁锂耦合浸出体系中酸溶解,释放部分Fe2+和Mn2+,Na2S2O8同步将磷酸锰铁锂晶格中的Fe2+氧化为Fe3+,使Li+从材料晶格中脱嵌出来,因Mn2+/Mn3+氧化还原电势(4.1 V)高于Fe2+/Fe3+氧化还原电势(3.4 V)[2],Na2S2O8先将溶液中的Fe2+氧化为Fe3+,随着耦合体系反应过程中酸不断被消耗,pH值升高,Fe3+与磷酸根结合,沉淀到渣中[13],沉淀渣经磷酸酸洗得到Mn含量(质量分数)0.21%的高纯磷酸铁渣。DL-苹果酸与Mn2+形成配合物溶解在浸出液中,耦合浸出体系可同步实现锂的高效浸出与铁锰分离。
1)采用DL-苹果酸与Na2S2O8耦合体系对磷酸锰铁锂废料进行选择性浸出与铁锰分离,适宜的浸出条件为:DL-苹果酸浓度0.4 mol/L,Na2S2O8/磷酸锰铁锂物质的量比0.4,液固比15 mL/g,浸出温度30 ℃,浸出时间3 h。在该条件下,锂、铁、锰、磷浸出率分别为98.76%、2.37%、96.89%、52.45%,浸出液中锂、铁、锰、磷质量浓度分别为2.98、0.21、12.66、6.52 g/L。
2)在DL-苹果酸和Na2S2O8耦合浸出体系中,浸出率原始pH值为1.3,随着反应进行,溶液pH值先降至1.1;随着磷酸锰铁锂反应溶解,浸出液pH值逐渐升高,浸出时间3 h时pH值升至终点值2.4。在反应的pH值范围内,大部分铁以磷酸铁形态存在于渣中。
3)浸出渣主要成分为磷酸铁,浸出过程DL-苹果酸与Mn2+形成配合物溶于浸出液,实现铁锰高效分离。
