Based on experimental studies on separation and quality improvement for a boron-bearing iron ore, a scheme for boron extraction and sulfur reduction was proposed, and a metallurgical process combined with mineral processing was determined, which consists of activation roasting, grinding, alkali leaching and magnetic separation. After activation roasting at 650 ℃ for 90 min in a neutral atmosphere, the obtained roasted ore was ground to a fineness of -0.075 mm 83.28%, and then leached for 60 min at 100 ℃, with liquid-to-solid ratio of 3∶1, leaching reagent of NaOH at a concentration of 15%, and stirring speed of 180 r/min. A boron-bearing mother liquor was obtained, with leaching rate of B2O3 at 94.62%. The leaching residue was subjected to conventional magnetic separation, resulting in an iron concentrate grading 54.94% TFe, containing 0.24% B2O3 and 0.077% S. It is concluded that boron can be fully recovered and the quality of iron concentrate can be also improved by adopting this processing scheme.

对某含硼铁矿进行了分离和提质试验研究,提出提硼降硫的研究方案,并制定了活化焙烧-磨矿-碱浸-磁选的选冶联合工艺。结果表明:中性气氛下,在焙烧温度650 ℃、焙烧时间90 min条件下活化焙烧,所得焙烧矿在磨矿细度-0.075 mm粒级占83.28%、浸出温度100 ℃、浸出时间60 min、液固比3∶1、浸出剂氢氧化钠浓度(质量分数)15%、搅拌速度180 r/min条件下浸出,可得到B2O3浸出率94.62%的含硼母液,浸出渣经常规磁选,能获得TFe品位54.94%、B2O3含量0.24%、S含量0.077%的铁精矿,成功实现了硼的充分回收和铁精矿品质的提升。

对某含硼铁矿进行了分离和提质试验研究,提出提硼降硫的研究方案,并制定了活化焙烧-磨矿-碱浸-磁选的选冶联合工艺。结果表明:中性气氛下,在焙烧温度650 ℃、焙烧时间90 min条件下活化焙烧,所得焙烧矿在磨矿细度-0.075 mm粒级占83.28%、浸出温度100 ℃、浸出时间60 min、液固比3∶1、浸出剂氢氧化钠浓度(质量分数)15%、搅拌速度180 r/min条件下浸出,可得到B2O3浸出率94.62%的含硼母液,浸出渣经常规磁选,能获得TFe品位54.94%、B2O3含量0.24%、S含量0.077%的铁精矿,成功实现了硼的充分回收和铁精矿品质的提升。

Based on experimental studies on separation and quality improvement for a boron-bearing iron ore, a scheme for boron extraction and sulfur reduction was proposed, and a metallurgical process combined with mineral processing was determined, which consists of activation roasting, grinding, alkali leaching and magnetic separation. After activation roasting at 650 ℃ for 90 min in a neutral atmosphere, the obtained roasted ore was ground to a fineness of -0.075 mm 83.28%, and then leached for 60 min at 100 ℃, with liquid-to-solid ratio of 3∶1, leaching reagent of NaOH at a concentration of 15%, and stirring speed of 180 r/min. A boron-bearing mother liquor was obtained, with leaching rate of B2O3 at 94.62%. The leaching residue was subjected to conventional magnetic separation, resulting in an iron concentrate grading 54.94% TFe, containing 0.24% B2O3 and 0.077% S. It is concluded that boron can be fully recovered and the quality of iron concentrate can be also improved by adopting this processing scheme.

硼是我国战略性非金属矿产资源,对外依存度高,高效开发与利用国内硼资源意义重大[1-2]。硼及硼化合物凭借质轻、阻燃、耐热、高硬、高强、耐磨及催化等特殊性能,广泛应用于信息技术、新能源、新材料、电子信息、高端制造及传统应用领域[2-4]。随着新能源、新材料学科的迅猛发展,我国对硼矿的需求持续攀升[5]。辽宁省硼矿储量占全国硼矿储量的64%,硼镁铁矿储量达2.8亿t,其中凤城翁泉沟硼镁铁矿是我国最大的硼矿生产基地,历经60多年的开采,高品质硼镁铁矿资源已濒临枯竭,而低品质硼镁铁矿由于硼、铁、镁、硫等多组分复杂共生,加工难度大,利用效率低[5-6]。在现有硼镁铁矿生产工艺中[5-8],主要存在两大问题:其一,大量硼进入铁精矿,造成硼资源的浪费;其二,主要产品铁精矿硫含量过高,严重影响铁精矿的品质。因此,迫切需要开发新的工艺来实现提硼除杂,提高硼的回收率并提升铁精矿品质。本文对某硼铁矿进行分离提质试验研究,提出提硼除杂的研究方案,制定活化焙烧-磨矿-碱浸-磁选的选冶联合工艺,并对各工艺参数进行优化,实现硼的充分回收及铁精矿品质的提升。
试验原料为某硼铁矿公司阶段生产样,矿样粒度为-0.075 mm粒级占44.69%。对矿样进行了化学成分分析、铁物相分析、X射线衍射及矿物参数自动定量分析系统综合分析,结果分别如表13所示。矿样中主要有价元素为铁和硼,铁主要分布在磁铁矿中,少量分布在镁菱铁矿中;硼以硼镁石为主,其次为硼铁矿;有害杂质S主要以黄铁矿与磁黄铁矿形式存在。样品中绝大部分磁铁矿以连生体形式产出,与硼镁石、硼铁矿、蛇纹石等镶嵌关系均十分复杂。
矿样中硼、铁、硫嵌布关系极为紧密,即使细磨也很难使它们完全解离形成单体。在此情况下,采用单一的选矿工艺难以达到硼、铁分离以及铁精矿提质的目标。为解决硼、铁、硫的分离难题,拟采用活化焙烧-磨矿-碱浸-磁选的选冶联合工艺对该矿样进行处理,试验流程如图1所示。该工艺中,矿样经焙烧发生矿相转化,硼矿物的活性得以改变;活化后的硼矿物与硫矿物能通过碱浸进入溶液,从而实现它们与铁矿物的有效分离。
在中性气氛下进行焙烧[9],能够实现硼矿物的活化,同时还可对磁铁矿起到保护作用,避免其被氧化。选择中性气氛进行焙烧试验研究。
焙烧时间90 min条件下,进行了不同焙烧温度的焙烧试验,对所得焙烧矿在磨矿细度-0.075 mm粒级占83.28%、浸出温度100 ℃、浸出时间60 min、液固比3∶1、浸出剂氢氧化钠浓度(质量分数,下同)15%、搅拌速度180 r/min条件下浸出,焙烧温度对浸出效果的影响如图2所示。分析图2可知,随着焙烧温度升高,浸出渣中B2O3含量先降低后增加,B2O3浸出率先升高后降低,适宜的焙烧温度为650 ℃,在该温度条件下,B2O3浸出率达到了94.72%。焙烧温度过低或者过高都会对硼矿物的反应活性产生影响。
对原料、焙烧温度650和800 ℃所得焙烧矿进行了X射线衍射分析,结果如图3所示。分析图3可知,随着焙烧温度逐步升高,主要矿物磁铁矿衍射峰并未发生变化,硼镁石衍射峰呈现逐渐消失的态势,遂安石及镁橄榄石衍射峰逐渐增强。焙烧温度650 ℃时,硼镁石衍射峰完全消失。焙烧温度800 ℃时,蛇纹石衍射峰消失,新生成的镁橄榄石包裹在矿物表面,会对焙烧矿的浸出产生不利影响。
焙烧温度650 ℃,其他条件不变,焙烧时间对硼浸出效果的影响见图4。由图4可知,随着焙烧时间增加,硼矿物浸出率先增加后缓慢减少,焙烧时间90 min时B2O3浸出率达到了峰值。适宜的焙烧时间为90 min。
对原料及不同焙烧时间下所得焙烧矿进行了X射线衍射分析,结果如图5所示。分析图5可知,随着焙烧时间增加,主要矿物磁铁矿衍射峰无变化,硼镁石衍射峰逐渐消失,遂安石与镁橄榄石衍射峰峰强逐渐增强。焙烧时间90 min时,硼镁石衍射峰完全消失,该条件下浸出效果很好。
对焙烧温度650 ℃、焙烧时间90 min条件下获得的焙烧样进行磨矿,不同磨矿细度条件下所得磨矿产品在浸出温度100 ℃、浸出时间60 min、液固比3∶1、浸出剂氢氧化钠浓度15%、搅拌速度180 r/min条件下浸出,磨矿细度对硼浸出效果的影响如图6所示。由图6可知,随着磨矿细度增加,硼浸出率增加,整体来看,各磨矿细度条件下浸出效果均较好。试验原料中主要矿物为磁铁矿,在确保能选铁的条件下开展硼富集试验。工业选铁生产过程中,磨矿细度通常为-0.075 mm粒级占80%~85%,参考工业生产相关参数,选择磨矿细度-0.075 mm粒级占83.28%。
对焙烧温度650 ℃、焙烧时间90 min条件下获得的焙烧矿进行磨矿处理,磨矿细度-0.075 mm粒级占83.28%。针对该磨矿样品开展浸出条件试验。
浸出时间90 min、浸出剂氢氧化钠浓度20%、液固比5∶1、搅拌速度180 r/min条件下,考察了浸出温度对硼浸出效果的影响,结果如图7所示。分析图7可知,随着浸出温度逐步升高,硼浸出率逐渐增加。浸出温度超过100 ℃后,浸出率增幅不明显。适宜的浸出温度为100 ℃。
浸出温度100 ℃,其他条件不变,考察了浸出时间对硼浸出效果的影响,结果如图8所示。由图8能够看出,随着浸出时间增加,硼浸出率逐渐上升。浸出时间超过60 min后,硼浸出率增幅不明显。适宜的浸出时间为60 min。
浸出时间60 min,其他条件不变,考察了液固比对硼浸出率的影响,结果如图9所示。分析图9可知,随着液固比逐步增大,硼浸出率逐渐增加。液固比超过3∶1后,硼浸出率增幅较小。适宜的液固比为3∶1。
液固比3∶1,其他条件不变,考察了浸出剂氢氧化钠浓度对硼浸出率的影响,结果如图10所示。由图10能够看出,随着氢氧化钠浓度升高,硼浸出率持续增加。适宜的氢氧化钠浓度为15%。
适宜的浸出条件为:浸出温度100 ℃,浸出时间60 min,液固比3∶1,浸出剂氢氧化钠浓度15%,搅拌转速180 r/min。该条件下获得的浸出母液B2O3浸出率可达94.62%,为后续进一步提取硼元素提供了良好的基础。浸出渣中B2O3含量为0.35%,S含量为0.086%,实现了含硼铁矿的提硼降硫。
对浸出综合试验获得的浸出渣进行磁选,在磁场强度0.1 T条件下获得了TFe品位54.94%、B2O3含量0.24%、S含量0.077%的铁精矿。虽然所得铁精矿B2O3和S含量极低,但铁精矿品位并未得到有效提升。为了清晰探究导致这一现象的原因,对不同样品进行了X射线衍射分析,结果如图11所示。由图11可知,焙烧能促使含硼矿物发生矿相转化,在后续浸出过程中,还有新的物质氢氧化镁生成。
鉴于硼相对原子质量较小,采用扫描电镜难以对其存在与否进行准确识别,实际操作中借助镁元素的存在情况来判定含硼矿物的相关情况。浸出前后样品微观形貌如图1213所示。对比分析发现,硼元素被成功浸出,镁元素依旧残留在渣中,浸出后镁以氢氧化镁形式存在,这是铁精矿品位难以进一步提升的根本原因。
浸出母液及洗涤液化学成分分析结果如表4所示。由表4可知,B2O3和S均进入浸出母液,含量分别达到了19 160和2 490 mg/L。MgO含量低于0.1 mg/L,进一步佐证了镁并未进入浸出母液。
整个工艺中,遂安石会与碱发生化学反应,生成硼酸钠及氢氧化镁沉淀,生成的氢氧化镁沉淀最终会进入浸出渣,这使得铁品位无法进一步提升,化学反应方程式为:
1)采用活化焙烧-浸出工艺实现了含硼铁精矿中硼与铁的有效分离,一方面将含硼铁精矿中极具利用价值的硼元素成功提取出来,实现资源的有效回收利用;另一方面,降低了铁精矿中有害元素硫的含量,有效提升铁精矿品质。
2)活化焙烧-浸出适宜的工艺条件为:中性气氛、焙烧温度650 ℃、焙烧时间90 min、焙烧矿磨矿细度-0.075 mm粒级占83.28%、浸出温度100 ℃、液固比3∶1、浸出时间60 min、浸出剂氢氧化钠浓度15%、搅拌速度180 r/min。该条件下可获得B2O3浸出率94.62%的浸出母液,浸出渣经常规磁选可获得TFe品位54.94%、B2O3含量0.24%、S含量0.077%的铁精矿。
3)浸出过程中,遂安石有较高的反应活性,容易与氢氧化钠发生化学反应,生成氢氧化镁沉淀,这是铁精矿品位难以继续提升的主要原因。
