In view of problems of low conversion and low productivity in preparation of benzoquinone by the oxidation of aniline, a leaching process with a shear-enhancement approach was adopted to investigate the effects of adding amount of pyrolusite, acidity, shear rate, and liquid-solid ratio on the conversion rate of p-benzoquinone. It is found that high-speed shearing can accelerate the homogenization of pyrolusite and aniline, and enhance the oxidation reaction, resulting in efficient conversion of aniline. Under optimized process conditions, including acidity of 90 g/L, shear rate of 2 500 r/min, liquid-solid ratio of 5∶1, pyrolusite addition at 1.6 times theoretical amount, the conversion rate of p-benzoquinone is 91.23%. Compared to traditional mechanical stirring process, the reaction time can be significantly shortened and the conversion rate of p-benzoquinone can be significantly increased. It is concluded that the leaching process with shear-enhancement approach can have a promising future in industrial application.

为解决苯胺法制备对苯醌转化率低和生产效率低的问题,提出采用剪切手段强化反应过程,探究软锰矿添加量、酸度、剪切速率和液固比对对苯醌转化率的影响。结果表明:高速剪切能加速软锰矿与苯胺均质,并强化氧化反应过程,实现苯胺高效转化。在酸度90 g/L、剪切速率2 500 r/min、液固比5∶1、软锰矿用量1.6倍理论值的优化工艺条件下,对苯醌转化率为91.23%;与传统机械搅拌工艺相比,剪切强化工艺的反应时间显著缩短,对苯醌转化率显著提高,具有良好的工业应用前景。

为解决苯胺法制备对苯醌转化率低和生产效率低的问题,提出采用剪切手段强化反应过程,探究软锰矿添加量、酸度、剪切速率和液固比对对苯醌转化率的影响。结果表明:高速剪切能加速软锰矿与苯胺均质,并强化氧化反应过程,实现苯胺高效转化。在酸度90 g/L、剪切速率2 500 r/min、液固比5∶1、软锰矿用量1.6倍理论值的优化工艺条件下,对苯醌转化率为91.23%;与传统机械搅拌工艺相比,剪切强化工艺的反应时间显著缩短,对苯醌转化率显著提高,具有良好的工业应用前景。

In view of problems of low conversion and low productivity in preparation of benzoquinone by the oxidation of aniline, a leaching process with a shear-enhancement approach was adopted to investigate the effects of adding amount of pyrolusite, acidity, shear rate, and liquid-solid ratio on the conversion rate of p-benzoquinone. It is found that high-speed shearing can accelerate the homogenization of pyrolusite and aniline, and enhance the oxidation reaction, resulting in efficient conversion of aniline. Under optimized process conditions, including acidity of 90 g/L, shear rate of 2 500 r/min, liquid-solid ratio of 5∶1, pyrolusite addition at 1.6 times theoretical amount, the conversion rate of p-benzoquinone is 91.23%. Compared to traditional mechanical stirring process, the reaction time can be significantly shortened and the conversion rate of p-benzoquinone can be significantly increased. It is concluded that the leaching process with shear-enhancement approach can have a promising future in industrial application.

苯胺氧化法[1-4]是一种常见的对苯醌合成方法,它主要以氧化性较强的Na2Cr2O7、KClO4、MnO2等为氧化剂对苯胺进行氧化制备对苯醌。反应过程中,苯胺被氧化成对苯醌,通过水蒸气将对苯醌蒸馏出来,再进一步制备对苯二酚;反应过程中产生的硫酸锰废水[5]可进一步回收制备锰系材料。苯胺氧化法属于无机和有机、固相与液相联合反应的过程,其中,苯胺与硫酸溶液密度相差较大且两者互不相溶,反应过程中存在传质效果不佳的情况,导致该工艺在实际生产过程中物耗大、转化率低。与此同时,该工艺传统生产过程往往采用机械搅拌作为反应强化手段,这对有机和无机两相反应强化效果非常有限,难以从动力学上有效提高对苯醌转化率。目前该技术领域急需一种新的反应强化手段来解决苯胺氧化法物耗高、转化率低的问题。
高速剪切均质机是一种新型的工艺强化设备,被广泛应用于材料制备、食品加工、生物制药、环境保护等领域[6-8]。反应过程中,高速剪切均质机转子相对定子高速旋转,从而达到剧烈搅拌、高速切割反应物料的效果,实现气液固三相物质在时间和空间位点上的高度一致,并赋能化学反应[9-10]。剪切强化手段是湿法冶金非常有效的强化技术。本文提出将剪切强化手段应用于苯胺与软锰矿浸出过程,从而实现高效制备对苯醌,以苯胺和软锰矿为原料,研究了反应过程中软锰矿添加量、酸度、剪切速率和液固比等因素对对苯醌转化率的影响,得到了优化工艺条件并阐明了剪切强化技术手段的优势所在。
试验所用软锰矿由重庆某公司提供,采用电感耦合等离子体发射光谱(ICP-AES)分析和X射线衍射分析(XRD)对其元素含量和物相组成进行了表征,结果分别如表1图1所示。采用HSC软件(Con模块)将元素组成换算为物相含量,结果如表2所示。图1表2表明软锰矿内主要物相为MnO2(67.23%)与SiO2(18.23%)。
试验所用试剂包括苯胺(化学纯)、碘化钾(分析纯)、五水硫代硫酸钠(分析纯),均购自阿拉丁试剂(上海)有限公司;硫酸(99%),购自株洲石英化玻有限公司;淀粉(分析纯),购自国药集团试剂有限公司。试验用水去离子水为实验室自制。
试验主体设备为1台恒温外循环水浴槽和1台外剪切设备,其中恒温水浴槽温度范围-5~100 ℃,剪切设备最大转速3 000 r/min、最大容积3 L。
以软锰矿为试验原料,将软锰矿与水按照一定质量比混合后,加入剪切反应槽内浆化,待反应槽液体冷却至指定温度(10~15 ℃)后,再加入配制的一定浓度硫酸。然后,启动剪切设备并将苯胺以一定速率缓慢滴入反应槽内,反应过程中温度控制为10~15 ℃。对反应期间及反应结束的料液取样分析,确定体系中对苯醌浓度,最后记录反应结束后液体体积,计算对苯醌转化率。
主要反应式为:
采用国标GB/T 23675—2009《对苯醌》测定对苯醌含量,计算转化率:
式中:x为对苯醌含量,%;c为硫代硫酸钠标准溶液浓度,mol/L;v为消耗硫代硫酸钠标准溶液的体积,mL;V取样为所取矿浆体积,mL;η为滴定系数。
剪切速率2 500 r/min、液固比(软锰矿质量与硫酸体积之比)5∶1,软锰矿添加量1.6倍理论值,不同酸度条件下对苯醌转化率随时间的变化曲线如图2所示。由图2可知:增大硫酸用量,对苯醌转化率增大;酸度一定时,随着反应时间延长,对苯醌转化率先增后降。酸度90 g/L、反应时间120 min时,对苯醌转化率达到91.23%。一方面,硫酸与弱碱性苯胺反应生成苯胺硫酸盐,增加了苯胺分子的亲电性,使其更容易被软锰矿氧化成大分子物质[11]。另一方面,硫酸是一种极性溶剂,可以帮助苯胺在反应中快速离子化并与其他反应物发生作用,提高氧化反应效率。但酸度过高,反应平衡常数减小,氧化反应受阻,对苯醌转化率下降;高浓度硫酸还会增加生产成本且存在设备腐蚀风险。综合考虑,选择硫酸酸度90 g/L进行后续试验。
硫酸酸度90 g/L、液固比5∶1、软锰矿添加量1.6倍理论值,不同剪切速率条件下对苯醌转化率随时间的变化规律如图3所示。由图3可知,提高剪切速率可以显著加快反应速率,进而提高对苯醌转化率,剪切速率2 500 r/min、反应时间120 min时,对苯醌转化率达到最高,为90.23%。引入剪切手段后,通过高速剪切力将软锰矿颗粒与苯胺进行撞击、破碎和混合,使二者达到水相和有机相在时间和空间位点上高度统一,对体系起到了快速均质、强化反应作用。试验过程中发现,过高的剪切速率会升高反应体系温度,导致对苯醌转化率降低,同时也会增加能耗与设备磨损。综合考虑,选择剪切速率2 500 r/min进行后续试验。
硫酸酸度90 g/L、剪切速率2 500 r/min、液固比5∶1,不同软锰矿添加量条件下对苯醌转化率随时间的变化曲线如图4所示。图4结果表明,软锰矿添加量1.2~2.0倍理论值范围内,随着软锰矿添加量增加,对苯醌转化率呈先增后减趋势。适量的软锰矿能加快体系内软锰矿溶解,促进锰离子等有效成分释放,进而提高浸出效率。软锰矿添加量为1.6倍理论值、反应时间120 min时,对苯醌转化率可达91.05%。一方面,软锰矿添加量过大,体系液固比大幅度减小,体系内矿浆黏稠度增加,阻碍了体系内物质的传质过程;其次,软锰矿添加量过大可能会使体系内氧势突然变高,副反应加剧,苯胺转化率下降。综合考虑,选择软锰矿添加量1.6倍理论值进行后续试验。
硫酸酸度90 g/L、剪切速率2 500 r/min、软锰矿添加量1.6倍理论值,不同液固比条件下对苯醌转化率随时间的变化曲线如图5所示。图5结果表明,液固比增加,对苯醌转化率先增大后减小,液固比5∶1、反应时间120 min时,对苯醌转化率达到85.99%。低液固比会导致体系内软锰矿矿浆黏稠,反应体系液固间传质困难,并且会加剧剪切设备的磨损;适当提高液固比能促进软锰矿与苯胺的溶解与扩散,提高反应过程的传质效率,进而提高对苯醌转化率;液固比过高,单位体积内软锰矿含量减少,反应效率降低;高液固比也会导致反应试剂使用量增加,后续处理废水量大,处理难度加大,增加能耗与生产成本。综合考虑,液固比5∶1为宜。
为了进一步验证剪切手段对软锰矿氧化苯胺过程中的强化作用,在硫酸浓度90 g/L、软锰矿添加量1.6倍理论值、液固比5∶1条件下,开展了2500 r/min剪切强化与400 r/min机械搅拌对比试验,结果如图6所示。由图6可知:反应时间0~180 min范围内,相较于机械搅拌,引入剪切强化手段后,体系更快达到平衡,且转化率更高,反应120 min时,剪切强化和机械搅拌的对苯醌转化率分别为91.23%和81.99%。
在苯胺、软锰矿反应体系中引入剪切强化手段,一方面可以在反应阶段快速、充分剥离软锰矿表面的反应物质,加速有效成分的溶出,增大其比表面积,进而加速苯胺与软锰矿间传质过程;另一方面提高了苯胺与软锰矿反应体系效率,缩短了其反应平衡时间,并提高了软锰矿利用率,减少了软锰矿返料量及体系废水量。相较于传统工艺,引入剪切手段后,对苯醌转化率显著提高。该优化工艺能实现锰资源的最大化利用,进一步提高工厂现有产能,并降低现阶段生产成本,有良好的工业化应用前景。
本文首次将剪切强化手段引入苯胺、软锰矿制备对苯醌过程中,通过工艺试验研究得到如下结论。
1)高速剪切速率下体系内苯胺及软锰矿被充分破碎及混合,反应更加完全快速,提高了反应产物对苯醌的转化率。
2)引入剪切强化手段后,在硫酸酸度90 g/L、剪切速率2 500 r/min、软锰矿用量1.6倍理论值、液固比5∶1的优化工艺条件下,对苯醌转化率为91.23%,相较于传统机械搅拌,实现了更高效转化,对苯醌转化率显著提高,反应时间缩短。
3)软锰矿、苯胺浸出过程中,剪切手段能够强化二者传质过程,加快体系反应速率,这对提高工厂现有工艺效率、效益具有重要意义,具有良好的工业化应用前景。
