Based on the mineralogy of the high-sulfur sedimentary bauxite ore from Pingguo area of Guangxi, including mineral composition, structural property and mineral dissemination characteristics, three kinds of technical schemes were proposed according to the ore properties, including flotation, reduction roasting plus magnetic separation, and calcination, and then adopted respectively in experiments of desulfurization. The mineralogical study shows that this bauxite ore contains 65.04% Al2O3 with S grade of 5.08%, and the dominant minerals therein are diaspore and pyrite. It is found that the pyrite can be effectively removed by those three processing techniques, and the flotation process can yield an bauxite concentrate with Al2O3 grade of 75.90% and the S grade reduced to 0.49%, which is qualified as the feed material for the succeeding alumina extraction. In this case, it is recommended that the flotation be selected as a pre-desulfurization solution for high-sulfur sedimentary bauxite ore.

对广西平果地区某高硫沉积型铝土矿进行矿石矿物组成、结构构造、矿石嵌布关系等工艺矿物学特征研究,并根据矿石性质制定了浮选、还原焙烧+磁选、煅烧3种方案进行铝土矿脱硫实验。结果表明,广西平果沉积型铝土矿Al2O3品位65.04%、S品位5.08%,主要组分为一水硬铝石和黄铁矿;3种方案均可很好脱除矿石中的黄铁矿,其中浮选可获得S品位0.49%、Al2O3品位75.90%的铝土矿精矿,满足下一工序氧化铝用料要求。推荐浮选方案为高硫沉积型铝土矿的预脱硫处理方法。

Based on the mineralogy of the high-sulfur sedimentary bauxite ore from Pingguo area of Guangxi, including mineral composition, structural property and mineral dissemination characteristics, three kinds of technical schemes were proposed according to the ore properties, including flotation, reduction roasting plus magnetic separation, and calcination, and then adopted respectively in experiments of desulfurization. The mineralogical study shows that this bauxite ore contains 65.04% Al2O3 with S grade of 5.08%, and the dominant minerals therein are diaspore and pyrite. It is found that the pyrite can be effectively removed by those three processing techniques, and the flotation process can yield an bauxite concentrate with Al2O3 grade of 75.90% and the S grade reduced to 0.49%, which is qualified as the feed material for the succeeding alumina extraction. In this case, it is recommended that the flotation be selected as a pre-desulfurization solution for high-sulfur sedimentary bauxite ore.

广西是我国重要的铝土矿基地,按矿石类型分,广西铝土矿主要有堆积型和沉积型两种,其中沉积型铝土矿未经风化,物相组成复杂,受技术限制,当前开采利用较少[1]。广西区内可利用的堆积型铝土矿资源日渐减少,为了保障全区铝产业的发展,2020—2021年间,广西加大了铝土矿勘查力度,探获了一批沉积型铝土矿[2]。但由于所探获的沉积型铝土矿多与黄铁矿密切共生,含硫量较高(S品位高于0.8%),矿石性质和选矿行为及指标尚不明确,极大影响了该铝土矿的高效利用[3-4]
本文以广西平果沉积型铝土矿为研究对象,通过查明矿石中主要矿物种类、组成、主要金属元素赋存状态、矿物之间的嵌布关系等矿石性质,提出高硫沉积型铝土矿的回收利用办法,为该类型矿产开发利用提供基础数据。
实验用矿石采自广西平果地区,挑选出代表性矿块用于岩矿鉴定分析,其余矿石经破碎、分级、混匀处理得到实验综合样。矿样化学成分分析结果见表1。由表1可知,沉积型铝土矿中Al2O3品位65.04%,SiO2品位3.84%,S品位5.08%,矿石铝硅比(A/S,为矿石中氧化铝和氧化硅质量之比,下同)为16.94,根据GB/T 24483—2009中铝土矿类型分类,该铝土矿属于高硫沉积型铝土矿。
实验设备主要包括XFD-Ⅳ型单槽浮选机、箱式电阻炉、电热鼓风干燥箱、Slon-100周期式脉动高梯度磁选机等。
分析仪器主要包括X射线荧光光谱仪、偏光显微镜、X射线衍射仪、扫描电镜等。
采用1.5 L单槽浮选机浮选。将矿石磨矿至设定的磨矿细度后置于浮选槽中,依次加入浮选药剂,搅拌、浮选,获得的产品分别过滤、烘干、制样分析。浮选流程见图1
还原焙烧在箱式电阻炉中进行。通过添加碳颗粒制造还原气氛,电阻炉升温至设定温度,将装有100 g矿石和一定比例碳颗粒的坩埚(带盖)置于炉腔内焙烧一定时间后,取出冷却,筛出碳颗粒后称重,磨矿、磁选、沉降过滤、烘干,再称重,制样分析。还原焙烧-磁选流程见图2
煅烧在箱式电阻炉中进行。电阻炉升温至设定温度,将200 g矿石平铺于耐火砖上一同置于炉腔内,在氧气气氛中煅烧一定时间,取出冷却,称重,制样分析。煅烧流程见图3
矿石岩矿鉴定结果显示,沉积型铝土矿矿物成分复杂,主要组分为一水硬铝石和黄铁矿,还包含绿泥石、高岭石、金红石、滑石、三水铝石、赤铁矿及褐铁矿、石英等。针对铝土矿主要组分进行电镜扫描分析,一水硬铝石分布情况见图4,黄铁矿分布情况见图5;铝土矿中铁物相分析结果见表2
图4结果表明,铝土矿为一水硬铝石,主要以集合体形式存在,结构致密;粒状一水硬铝石常呈颗粒之间紧密镶嵌的结构,在高岭石、绿泥石及铁矿物中构成斑点状构造,也常与其他矿物在一起构成豆鲕粒状构造。
图5显示,黄铁矿存在自形、半自形以及它形晶态;镜下可以发现黄铁矿矿石颗粒大小差异明显,有的达几百微米,有的仅几微米;黄铁矿与其他矿物的嵌布关系较为复杂,粗粒级黄铁矿呈自形、半自形或棱角状结构分布于一水硬铝石中,中粒级黄铁矿与一水硬铝石呈包裹、半包裹或相互嵌布的形式存在于矿物中,细粒级黄铁矿粒径较小,以散点状分布于一水硬铝石中。
表2可知,矿石中硫化铁中铁分布率高达68.78%,说明铁主要赋存于黄铁矿中,可以判断,黄铁矿的存在是铝土矿高硫的主要原因。
综上可知,沉积型铝土矿与黄铁矿嵌布共生,这种共生关系是复杂且粗细不均的,严重影响了氧化铝的生产。目前世界上90%的氧化铝采用拜耳法生产获得,过量的黄铁矿(S品位大于0.5%)不仅会影响氧化铝提取溶出率,在溶出过程中还容易使钢材受到明显腐蚀,损坏容器[5]。沉积型铝土矿的高硫特性是其一直未被工业化利用的主要原因之一[6-7]。为了应用这些矿石,在拜耳法溶出前需要采用选矿方法进行脱硫预处理。
浮选是黄铁矿最常用的选矿方法之一[8-9],可通过浮选对沉积型铝土矿进行脱硫预处理。采用硫酸调节浮选矿浆pH值,在硫酸用量2 000 g/t、活化剂硫酸铜用量300 g/t、组合捕收剂丁基黄药+丁铵黑药用量(50+25)g/t条件下,考察了磨矿细度对脱硫效果的影响,结果见图6。由图6可知,提高磨矿细度,铝土矿精矿S品位明显降低,脱硫率随之提高,说明磨矿可以使硫和铝单体解离。磨矿细度达到-0.074 mm粒级占70%时,铝土矿中S品位以及脱硫率均趋于平稳。可见,磨矿细度-0.074 mm粒级占70%时,硫、铝已基本单体解离。
磨矿细度-0.074 mm粒级占70%,其他条件不变,探究了pH值调整剂硫酸用量对脱硫效果的影响,结果见图7。由图7可知,以硫酸为pH值调整剂,随着硫酸用量增加,铝土矿精矿S品位降低,脱硫率升高。从矿石脱硫率来看,硫酸用量2 000 g/t时,脱硫率已达93%,继续提高硫酸用量,脱硫率趋于平稳。选择硫酸用量2 000 g/t。
硫酸铜是黄铁矿的常用活化剂。硫酸用量2000 g/t,其他条件不变,进行了硫酸铜用量条件实验,结果见图8。由图8可知,硫酸铜用量增加,铝土矿精矿S品位先降低后趋于平稳。选定硫酸铜用量300 g/t。
大量浮选实践证明,组合捕收剂具有比单一捕收剂更好的效果,捕收剂组合后可使溶液物理化学性质发生明显变化[11]。工业上,黄药和黑药是黄铁矿的常用捕收剂。根据生产经验,使用丁基黄药+丁铵黑药组合药剂进行浮选脱硫实验,组合捕收剂用量对脱硫效果的影响见图9。由图9可知,增加捕收剂用量,铝土矿精矿脱硫率略有提高且S品位下降至0.5%以下;但捕收剂用量越多,获得的粗精矿产率越大,说明捕收剂用量过大容易出现夹带现象。综合考虑选矿指标,选定捕收剂用量丁基黄药+丁铵黑药用量为(50+25)g/t。
在条件实验基础上进行了一粗两扫两精浮选闭路实验,实验流程见图10,结果见表3。一粗两扫两精浮选闭路实验获得了产率90.87%、S品位0.49%、Al2O3品位75.90%、回收率99.46%的铝土矿精矿(含铝矿物),A/S从16.94提高至22.59;铝土矿精矿硫品位低于后续生产氧化铝溶出入料要求,同时,通过浮选可获得S品位45.28%、回收率90%以上的硫精矿副产品,产品质量达到了优等品Ⅱ级品(行业标准HG/T 2786—1996)要求,可考虑进一步回收利用。
在实验室箱式电阻炉中进行还原焙烧实验,通过添加碳颗粒制造还原气氛。经多次实验发现,碳颗粒添加量为样品质量的10%即可满足条件,故还原焙烧-磁选固定碳颗粒添加量10%,还原焙烧获得的焙砂再经磁选选出磁性矿物,非磁性矿物即为含铝矿物。
焙烧温度800 ℃、焙烧时间2 h,考察了磁选磁场强度对脱硫效果的影响,结果见图11。由图11可知,随着磁场强度提高,非磁性矿物中S品位降低,说明磁场强度越强,硫的脱除效果越好;但提高磁场强度,铝品位也会大幅度降低;磁场强度0.5 T时,焙砂磁选获得的含铝矿物S品位已降至0.5%以下,选择磁场强度0.5 T。
磁场强度0.5 T,其他条件不变,考察了焙烧温度对磁选脱硫效果的影响,结果见图12。由图12可知,焙烧温度对脱硫效果影响不大,焙烧温度800 ℃时,获得的非磁性矿物S品位已降到0.5%以下,继续提高焙烧温度,S品位略有降低,但脱硫率基本保持不变。选择焙烧温度800 ℃。
在焙烧温度800 ℃、焙烧时间2 h、磁场强度0.5 T条件下进行了还原焙烧-磁选综合实验,结果见表4。由表4可知,还原焙烧-磁选获得的非磁性矿物(含铝矿物)产率25.51%、S品位0.30%、Al2O3品位85.92%,A/S从16.94提高到了18.80。
煅烧实验参考的是我国南方处理高硫矿采用的回转窑脱硫工艺,即通过在空气环境下高温煅烧使黄铁矿生成三氧化二铁和四氧化三铁,让与之包裹的矿物暴露出来,有利于被包裹矿物的后续提取。煅烧实验需考察的条件有煅烧温度和煅烧时间,矿石经过煅烧获得的烧砂为含铝矿物。
煅烧时间2 h,煅烧温度对脱硫效果的影响见图13。由图13可知,煅烧温度越高,S品位越低,说明煅烧可以使黄铁矿形态发生改变;煅烧温度达到800 ℃,硫品位趋于平稳,再继续提高温度几乎没有发生变化,选定煅烧温度800 ℃。
煅烧温度800 ℃,煅烧时间对脱硫效果的影响见图14。由图14可知,在较短的时间内,矿石煅烧不透,S作用不完全,无法全部挥发,含铝矿物中S品位略高;煅烧时间2 h时,矿石S品位趋于稳定。选择煅烧时间2 h。
在条件实验基础上进行了煅烧综合实验,在煅烧温度800 ℃、煅烧时间2 h条件下,获得了产率79.24%、S品位0.13%、Al2O3品位79.21%、Fe2O3和SiO2品位分别为7.91%和4.47%,Al2O3回收率97.75%的含铝矿物,A/S从16.94提高至17.72。
对比分析可见,3种选矿方案都能实现沉积型铝土矿的有效脱硫,获得的含铝矿物S品位明显降低,均低于下一道工序入料要求的0.5%;氧化铝也得到一定程度富集;铝硅比(A/S)有所提高。但浮选脱硫工艺技术成熟、操作方便,以硫酸铜为活化剂、丁基黄药+丁铵黑药作为组合捕收剂可获得高回收率(氧化铝回收率99.46%)的合格含铝矿物,Al2O3品位为75.90%,同时综合回收了黄铁矿;还原焙烧-磁选脱硫工艺获得的铝土矿富集度高,氧化铝品位提高了11.26百分点,但回收率仅29.35%,氧化铝损失较大;煅烧脱硫工艺效果显著,含铝矿物中S品位可低至0.13%,但煅烧会产生工业废气,环境不友好,且需另增废气处理装置。
3种方案中浮选方法无需高温处理,成本低,环境压力小,同时,可实现综合利用的目的,提高社会效益,推荐采用浮选方案作为平果高硫沉积型铝土矿拜耳法溶出前的预脱硫处理办法。
广西平果沉积型铝土矿属于高硫一水硬铝石型铝土矿,矿石中S品位5.08%,主要以黄铁矿形式存在,采用浮选方法,在磨矿细度-0.074 mm粒级占70%,硫酸用量2 000 g/t、硫酸铜用量300 g/t、组合捕收剂丁基黄药+丁铵黑药用量(50+25)g/t条件下,通过一粗二扫二精浮选,可以获得S品位0.49%、Al2O3品位75.90%的合格含铝矿物,同时获得的硫精矿副产品达到HG/T 2786—1996优等品Ⅱ级品品质要求,该方法可为该类型矿产开发利用提供技术支撑。
