Based on the studies of catalytic pyrolysis for high-sulfur waste residue (HSWR), it is found that after 90 min pyrolysis at a temperature of 600 ℃, with Fe2O3 as a sulfur fixation agent in a mass ratio of 1.5∶1 with HSWR, the total desulfurization rate can be around 85%. The volatile sulfur-containing complex organic matter in HSWR could be transformed into stable inorganic matter, among which the amorphous sulfur could be transformed into crystalline sulfur with purity over 95%. In the residue left after pyrolysis process for desulfurization, the main components include inorganic salts such as sodium sulfate and carbon black. The exhaust gas is mainly composed of simple molecular organics such as CH4 and C2H4, and a small amount of inorganic compounds such as CO, SO2, CO2 and HCl. The pyrolysis process for desulfurization consists of four stages: firstly, the amorphous elemental sulfur is vaporized and then crystallized to form crystal sulfur; secondly, as for the elemental sulfur with attachment of organic matter and in a relatively more stable structure, its bond with the hydroxyl or carboxyl of organic phase is broken, leading to sulfur emitted into the atmosphere; at the third stage, the sulfur-containing organic phase is deactivated at the methylene and submethyl sites to form HCl, H2S and carbon black, which are then adsorbed by sulfur-fixation agent and converted into sulfate; at the fourth stage, the carbon-carbon bond between nitrogen heterocyclic hydrocarbons becomes unstable after grouping, and is broken into small organic molecules such as CH4 and C2H4, as well as carbon black and a trace of H2. Meanwhile, C—N/C—NHx bonds are broken into NOx/NH3, and C—S/C—SO3H bonds are broken into H2S and SO2, which are then adsorbed by sulfur fixation agents and converted into sulfate.

对高硫废渣开展了催化热解脱硫研究。结果表明,以Fe2O3为固硫剂,在热解温度600 ℃、热解时间90 min、固硫剂与废渣质量比1.5∶1条件下,总硫去除率为85%左右;废渣中易挥发性含硫复杂有机物转化成稳定的无机物,其中无定形硫可转化为纯度大于95%的晶型硫;废渣热解脱硫后尾渣中残留物主要成分为硫酸钠、炭黑等无机盐;外排废气中主要成分为CH4、C2H4等简单分子有机物,以及少量的CO、SO2、CO2、HCl等无机化合物。热解脱硫过程主要分为4个阶段:①非晶单质硫首先发生气化,并发生晶化反应;②被有机物附着具有相对更稳定结构的单质硫与有机相的羟基或羧基键发生断裂,硫向外扩散溢出至大气中;③含硫有机相在亚甲基、次甲基位发生脱基团反应,生成HCl、H2S和炭黑,并被固硫剂吸附转化为硫酸盐;④脱基团后造成氮杂环烃之间碳碳键不稳定,断裂成CH4、C2H4等小分子有机物,以及炭黑和少量H2,C—N/C—NHx键断裂成NOx/NH3,C—S/C—SO3H键断裂成H2S、SO2,被固硫剂吸附并转化为硫酸盐。

对高硫废渣开展了催化热解脱硫研究。结果表明,以Fe2O3为固硫剂,在热解温度600 ℃、热解时间90 min、固硫剂与废渣质量比1.5∶1条件下,总硫去除率为85%左右;废渣中易挥发性含硫复杂有机物转化成稳定的无机物,其中无定形硫可转化为纯度大于95%的晶型硫;废渣热解脱硫后尾渣中残留物主要成分为硫酸钠、炭黑等无机盐;外排废气中主要成分为CH4、C2H4等简单分子有机物,以及少量的CO、SO2、CO2、HCl等无机化合物。热解脱硫过程主要分为4个阶段:①非晶单质硫首先发生气化,并发生晶化反应;②被有机物附着具有相对更稳定结构的单质硫与有机相的羟基或羧基键发生断裂,硫向外扩散溢出至大气中;③含硫有机相在亚甲基、次甲基位发生脱基团反应,生成HCl、H2S和炭黑,并被固硫剂吸附转化为硫酸盐;④脱基团后造成氮杂环烃之间碳碳键不稳定,断裂成CH4、C2H4等小分子有机物,以及炭黑和少量H2,C—N/C—NHx键断裂成NOx/NH3,C—S/C—SO3H键断裂成H2S、SO2,被固硫剂吸附并转化为硫酸盐。

Based on the studies of catalytic pyrolysis for high-sulfur waste residue (HSWR), it is found that after 90 min pyrolysis at a temperature of 600 ℃, with Fe2O3 as a sulfur fixation agent in a mass ratio of 1.5∶1 with HSWR, the total desulfurization rate can be around 85%. The volatile sulfur-containing complex organic matter in HSWR could be transformed into stable inorganic matter, among which the amorphous sulfur could be transformed into crystalline sulfur with purity over 95%. In the residue left after pyrolysis process for desulfurization, the main components include inorganic salts such as sodium sulfate and carbon black. The exhaust gas is mainly composed of simple molecular organics such as CH4 and C2H4, and a small amount of inorganic compounds such as CO, SO2, CO2 and HCl. The pyrolysis process for desulfurization consists of four stages: firstly, the amorphous elemental sulfur is vaporized and then crystallized to form crystal sulfur; secondly, as for the elemental sulfur with attachment of organic matter and in a relatively more stable structure, its bond with the hydroxyl or carboxyl of organic phase is broken, leading to sulfur emitted into the atmosphere; at the third stage, the sulfur-containing organic phase is deactivated at the methylene and submethyl sites to form HCl, H2S and carbon black, which are then adsorbed by sulfur-fixation agent and converted into sulfate; at the fourth stage, the carbon-carbon bond between nitrogen heterocyclic hydrocarbons becomes unstable after grouping, and is broken into small organic molecules such as CH4 and C2H4, as well as carbon black and a trace of H2. Meanwhile, C—N/C—NHx bonds are broken into NOx/NH3, and C—S/C—SO3H bonds are broken into H2S and SO2, which are then adsorbed by sulfur fixation agents and converted into sulfate.

精细化工是当今化学工业中最具活力的新兴领域之一,是新材料的重要组成部分[1]。化工行业规模的快速增长,伴随着大量废物的产生和排放,高硫废渣(HSWR)就是典型的伴生废物之一[2-4]。高硫废渣具有来源广、形态多样、硫含量高[5]、热值高、pH值低[6]、有毒[7-9]等特点,目前处理此类废物的主要方法是焚烧炉处理[10-12],但由于高温焚烧处置过程中易产生酸性气体(二氧化硫、三氧化硫、氮氧化物、氯化氢等),极易造成大气环境二次污染[13-15]。此外,焚烧过程中对焚烧炉及配套设备腐蚀严重,缩短高温焚烧处理装备寿命[16-17]。目前此类废物大量堆积,始终无法实现规模化处理,亟须寻找高硫废渣处置技术的突破口[18-20]
本文以典型精细化工行业产生的高硫废渣为研究对象,以废渣中硫的无害化脱除为考核目标,提出催化热解脱硫无害化处置技术,重点考察各影响因素对脱硫效果的影响,建立热解脱硫无害化处理热解机理模型,可为高硫废渣的清洁无害化处理提供新的工艺路线和理论基础。
实验原料取自某固体废料处置公司收集的来自某农药生产企业产生的废渣,热值为12.54 kJ/g,主要组成元素为铁、钠、钙、硫及氯等(见表1)。高硫废渣TG-DSC分析及XRD图图谱[5]图1。该类高硫渣中硫主要以3种形态存在:无定形聚集态硫、含硫无机盐如硫酸盐、含巯基和甲基硫基的氮杂环有机化合物,且在高温下表现出明显的热不稳定性。
主要药剂包括氧化钙、氧化锌、氧化铁、锌粉、铜粉、铁粉,均为分析纯,购自国药集团化学试剂有限公司;主要仪器设备为气氛管式炉(合肥科晶OTF-1200X)。
将高硫渣原料按照表2实验方案配料,并在玛瑙研钵研磨混合均匀。然后将混合物料装入刚玉坩埚(内径30 mm,外径35 mm,高度37 mm)中置于气氛管式炉,以相应的升温速率升至实验温度并恒温一段时间。为杜绝氧气的影响,整个反应在氩气气氛下进行,氩气气体流量50 mL/min。反应结束后继续通入氩气至炉内温度降至室温取出,并对焙烧样品进行预处理后进行相应分析。
采用Netzsch ST449F3型热分析仪(TG-DSC)分析样品的热行为特征。采用X射线衍射仪分析烧样品的相演变和结构特征[21]。利用气相色谱-质谱联用仪(GC-MS)分析样品尾气。利用ICP-AES定量分析热解渣中总硫残留量以及废渣全元素[22],采用EA定量分析废渣中主要元素。样品中元素含量按式(1)计算。
式中ε为样品中元素含量,%;C为测试液体定容体积,mL;V为测试元素浓度,mg/L;G为样品质量,g。
以高硫废渣为原料,以硫挥发率和尾气中二氧化硫排放浓度为考核指标,考察热解温度、保温时间、升温速率、固硫剂用量等因素的影响。
温度是影响硫挥发和有机物热解的关键因素。根据表2中A组实验条件,进行热解温度实验,结果见图2。首先随着温度升高,硫挥发率快速升高,在400 ℃时硫挥发率可达到85.58%;400 ℃之后,硫挥发率上升趋势变缓,600 ℃达到96.45%,700 ℃达到98.39%。随着温度升高,对应单质硫的峰快速减弱,400 ℃时,出现对应硫酸钠的新峰,且随着温度升高,该峰峰强迅速增强,在700 ℃时,就只有硫酸钠对应的峰了。
综合图2(a)、(b)可知,400 ℃前,主要是无机类的单质硫挥发,但从400 ℃开始,有机类硫物质开始热解,释放的硫氧基团与金属离子形成硫酸盐滞留在尾渣中,这也解释了样品在400 ℃后的失重率开始变缓的原因。因此,为确保高硫废渣中有机物的热解效率,热解温度控制在600 ℃较适宜。
确定热解温度600 ℃,根据表2中B组实验条件,进行热解保温时间实验,结果见图3。保温时间对硫挥发率的影响非常明显。保温10 min,硫挥发率仅17.74%;90 min后达到96.35%;继续延长保温时间至120 min,硫挥发率增加不明显,表明保温90 min后,废渣中的无机硫和有机硫基本热解和气化。保温10 min后,对应硫的特征峰已明显变弱;到60 min时,该峰已基本消失,出现对应硫酸钠的峰;且随着保温时间延长,对应硫酸钠的峰强增强,峰型变得尖锐,表明高硫废渣在热解过程中不断产生硫酸钠物相,且该物质的含量随保温时间延长而增加,晶型也变得更好。综上分析,在600 ℃热解温度下,控制保温时间90 min较适宜。
根据前面的单因素实验结果可知,在600 ℃、保温90 min条件,高硫废渣中硫挥发率可达到97%以上。但高挥发率意味着进入烟尘的硫增加,为确保尾气达标排放,需尽量减少不凝含硫物的产生和排放。高硫废渣在无氧条件下进行热解,单质硫不会被氧化为二氧化硫,只有有机含硫基团热解产生一定量的硫化氢和二氧化硫。因此,在热解过程中,需添加一定的固硫剂对这类不凝气体进行吸收。
将不同类型添加剂与高硫废渣分别按1∶1配比混合磨匀(见表2中C组实验),升温至600 ℃保温90 min,固硫剂种类实验结果见图4。从图4(a)可以看出,利用CaO、Zn粉、Fe2O3、Fe粉、ZnO、Cu粉为添加剂时,总硫挥发率分别为85.87%、81.34%、67.73%、57.78%、82.77%、58.63%,较无添加剂样品的硫挥发率均有降低,其中Fe粉作为添加剂的硫挥发率最低。根据热力学计算,理论上Zn粉作为添加剂的效果最佳,但实际上硫挥发率仍有81.34%。其原因与锌或产物的挥发有关。添加Zn粉的样品失重率超过50%,表明必然有部分Zn粉或产物硫化锌挥发。而且,实验中发现,达到一定温度后,Zn粉与高硫渣会在短时间内剧烈反应产生大量的烟尘,根据XRD分析结果(见图5),烟尘冷凝物主要为硫化锌和硫,这些烟尘短时间内大量挥发和冷凝易造成堵管,不宜作为添加剂。从图4(b)可以看出,高硫渣中加入各添加剂后的物相变化为:①CaO产物:CaS、CaSO4和CaO;②Zn粉产物:Zn、ZnS、ZnO(可能吸附渣中有机物氧);③Fe2O3产物:Fe2O3、FeS2;④Fe粉产物:Fe、FeS2、MgFe2O4;⑤ZnO产物:ZnO、ZnS;⑥Cu产物:Cu2S。可见,各添加剂的主要产物均为金属硫化物,这与热解气氛有关。结合XRD结果和综合效率,和对硫、二氧化硫、硫化氢的反应趋势,选取CaO或Fe2O3作为添加剂较佳。
确定CaO或Fe2O3为固硫剂,根据表2中D组实验方案,分别将CaO或Fe2O3与高硫渣混料后在600 ℃下保温90 min,实验结果见图6。可以看出,以CaO为固硫剂时,由于CaO属于不易挥发物,随着添加量增加,混合原料中挥发物成分的理论占比逐渐降低,从配料比0.5∶1时的66.67%降至配料比2.5∶1时的28.57%。混合原料经高温热解后,配料比0.5∶1样品的失重率为54.6%,相应的硫挥发率为96.93%;而配料比2.5∶1样品的失重率为15.43%,相应的硫挥发率为58.31%。可见,原料中硫挥发率随CaO添加量增加明显降低,CaO起到明显的固硫作用。因此,从固硫效果而言,增大CaO添加量,有利于降低硫的挥发,但却会增加尾渣质量,不利于后续尾渣处置。综合硫挥发效果和尾渣质量变化,选取配料比1.5∶1比较适合,该条件下硫挥发率为70.25%。
以Fe2O3为固硫剂时,硫挥发率随着Fe2O3用量增加而持续降低,表明增大Fe2O3用量有利于抑制硫的挥发。配料比0.5∶1、1∶1、1.5∶1、2∶1、2.5∶1对应的硫挥发率分别为83.83%、74.39%、63.3%、63.54%、57.07%。可见,添加比例小于1.5∶1时,硫挥发率降幅明显,继续提高配料比,虽然硫挥发率仍降低,但降幅明显缩小,而与此同时会使尾渣质量增多,不利于尾渣后续处理。因此,控制配料比1.5∶1较佳。
通过上述研究,得到高硫废渣催化热解无害化处理的适宜工艺条件为:以Fe2O3为添加剂,控制配料比为1.5∶1,热解温度为600 ℃,热解时间为90 min。在此优化条件下,以同一批次高硫废渣为原料进行热解实验,热解前后渣相中主要成分变化见图7。可以看出,在该工艺参数下,硫综合去除率85%左右,总硫、有机碳含量明显降低,而总碳、氟化物和硫酸盐含量明显升高。其原因是渣中有机碳热解后发生碳化现象;氟化物含量明显升高,说明热解过程中含氟化合物没有发生气化,而是始终滞留在渣相中。
图1可知,原料硫主要赋存物相为无定形聚集态硫、含硫无机盐如硫酸盐、含巯基和甲基硫基的氮杂环有机化合物。经高温热解后,尾渣中赋存的物相只有硫酸钠等含硫无机盐,见图8。热解后物相发生了明显变化,表明滞留在渣中的硫基本以稳定态的硫酸盐形式存在。
对收集的废气冷凝物进行XRD分析和元素分析,结果见图9。冷凝物中只有单质硫单一物相。与原料相比,其外观颜色比原料淡,有明显的金属光泽,纯度达到95%,可作为二次硫资源利用。
利用烟气分析仪对热解气态产物进行在线分析,结果见图10。可以看出,外排废气中除了二氧化硫、硫化氢等考核污染物因子外,主要成分为甲烷等短链有机物和一氧化碳,以及少量氢气。而且各污染物基本从500 ℃开始出现,在600 ℃时达到最高,表明热解反应中有机物热解的高峰期在600 ℃左右,此时,C2H4浓度为1.0 mole%、CO浓度为0.022 mole%。这也证明了前面条件实验中将热解温度设定为600 ℃是正确的。通过GC-MS对外排废气进一步分析可知(见图11),烟气中主要以甲烷为主,浓度为0.73%。
综合上述研究,推测热解过程中硫的主要反应历程分为4个阶段:①硫气化所需温度较低,150~200 ℃时,表面未被有机物附着的非晶单质态硫首先发生气化,在此过程中,硫的非晶结构发生晶化,形成八原子环结构的晶体硫(S8);②被有机物附着的单质硫具有相对稳定的结构,温度继续升高时,硫与有机相的羟基或羧基键发生断裂,硫向外扩散溢出至大气中;③含硫有机相在亚甲基、次甲基位发生脱基团反应,生成H2S和炭黑;④脱基团后造成氮杂环烃缺之间键不稳定,键断裂成CH4、C2H4等小分子有机物,以及炭黑和少量H2,C—N/C—NHx键断裂成NOx/NH3,C—S/C—SO3H键断裂成H2S、SO2等。其机理见图12
1)热解脱硫的优化工艺参数为:热解温度600 ℃,热解时间90 min,以Fe2O3为固硫剂,添加剂与高硫废渣质量比为1.5∶1,此时硫去除率85%左右;废渣中易挥发性含硫复杂有机物转化成稳定的无机物,其中无定形硫转化成纯度95%以上的晶型硫,可作为二次资源利用。
2)高硫废渣经热解脱硫后尾渣中残留主要成分为硫酸钠等无机盐;外排废气中主要成分为CH4、C2H4等简单分子有机物,以及少量的CO、SO2、CO2、HCl等无机化合物。
3)高硫渣热解脱硫机理主要分为4个阶段:①表面未被有机物附着的非晶单质态硫首先发生气化,并发生晶化反应,形成八原子环结构的晶体硫(S8);②被有机物附着具有相对更稳定结构的单质硫与有机相的羟基或羧基键发生断裂,硫向外扩散溢出至大气中;③含硫氯有机相在亚甲基、次甲基位发生脱基团反应,生成HCl、H2S和炭黑;④脱基团后造成氮杂环烃缺之间碳碳键不稳定,断裂成CH4、C2H4等小分子有机物,以及炭黑和少量H2,C—N/C—NHx键断裂成NOx/NH3,C—S/C—SO3H键断裂成H2S、SO2,被固硫剂吸附并转化为硫酸盐。
