As for a zinc concentrate collected from mineral processing of a lead-zinc ore, an experimental study was carried out to reduce the carbon content therein. With soluble starch as the carbon depressant, a concentrate with Zn grade of 48.71%, carbon content of 0.86% and Zn recovery of 90.28% was obtained from a closed-circuit test. Compared with the on-site indicators, both the Zn grade and recovery of concentrate are increased by using this new process, while the carbon content therein is reduced to less than 1%, showing a remarkable carbon-reduction effect.

As for a zinc concentrate collected from mineral processing of a lead-zinc ore, an experimental study was carried out to reduce the carbon content therein. With soluble starch as the carbon depressant, a concentrate with Zn grade of 48.71%, carbon content of 0.86% and Zn recovery of 90.28% was obtained from a closed-circuit test. Compared with the on-site indicators, both the Zn grade and recovery of concentrate are increased by using this new process, while the carbon content therein is reduced to less than 1%, showing a remarkable carbon-reduction effect.

在锌精矿焙烧、浸出过程中,碳的存在会释放多余的热量,导致炉膛内温度升高,影响焙烧工艺稳定性。为了使焙烧温度易于控制,常采用配矿或降低含碳锌精矿的处理量来降低碳质带来的不良影响。某复杂铅锌矿原矿石含碳约6%,选厂采用部分脱碳、铅锌依次优先浮选工艺获得铅精矿和锌精矿,其中锌精矿含碳3%~5%,达不到锌精矿产品质量要求(含碳量小于1%),锌精矿销售困难。开发一种锌精矿降碳工艺对合理开发复杂含碳多金属矿至关重要[1-6]。本文以该含碳铅锌矿选矿所得锌精矿为研究对象,对其进行降碳试验研究。
试验所用试样为某含碳铅锌矿原矿经脱碳选铅后的尾矿(以下称原矿),其化学多元素分析结果见表1,矿物组成及相对含量结果见表2。原矿中主要有价元素为锌,有机碳含量较高;原矿中硫化物主要为黄铁矿、雌黄铁矿、闪锌矿,微量铜硫化物;脉石矿物主要为硅酸盐矿物,以石英为主,少量长石、白云母、黑云母等,有机碳主要为石墨。
经显微镜观察,原矿中有机碳主要赋存在石墨中,呈微细粒鳞片状与其他脉石矿物混杂在一起,大部分粒度不超过5 μm,少量碳颗粒粒度较粗,达20~50 μm。
选矿厂原选锌流程为“一粗三扫、粗精矿再磨、三次精选”。本文在原工艺流程及药剂制度基础上,通过添加有机碳抑制剂实现锌精矿降碳的目的。试验原则流程见图1
由于成矿条件不同,含碳铅锌矿矿石碳化程度不同,碳的可浮性差异很大:有些碳质可浮性相当好,用抑制剂也难以抑制,需浮选脱除;有些碳质与硫化物可浮性相近,在浮选硫化物时必须添加抑制剂将碳抑制到尾矿中。该复杂铅锌矿含碳锌精矿碳含量高、嵌布粒度细,现场工艺采用部分脱碳作业不能完全消除碳质对锌精矿的影响,需在选锌阶段添加碳抑制剂来降低碳质对锌精矿品质的影响。
按照图1所示流程,在粗选调整剂硫酸铜用量150 g/t、捕收剂异丁基黄药用量35 g/t、起泡剂MIBC用量10 g/t条件下,进行了碳抑制剂种类条件试验,结果见表3。由表3可知,可溶性淀粉、腐殖酸钠、木质素磺酸钠均有较好的抑制效果,其中可溶性淀粉在保证锌回收率不降低的情况下可将锌粗精矿中碳品位降至2%以下,降碳效果显著。后续采用可溶性淀粉作为有机碳抑制剂进行试验。
按照图1所示流程,在调整剂硫酸铜用量150 g/t、捕收剂异丁基黄药用量35 g/t、起泡剂MIBC用量10 g/t条件下,进行了碳抑制剂可溶性淀粉用量试验,结果见图2。由图2可知,随着可溶性淀粉用量增加,锌粗精矿中碳品位呈先降低后基本不变趋势,锌回收率呈先变化不大后缓慢下降趋势;可溶性淀粉用量1 000 g/t时,锌粗精矿中碳品位达到较低水平,锌回收率与不添加碳抑制剂时基本一致,继续增加可溶性淀粉用量,锌回收率缓慢下降。锌粗选过程中碳抑制剂可溶性淀粉的适宜用量为1 000 g/t。
固定可溶性淀粉用量1000 g/t、硫酸铜用量150 g/t、异丁基黄药用量35 g/t、MIBC用量10 g/t,通过调整可溶性淀粉和硫酸铜的添加顺序,考查调整剂添加方式对降碳效果的影响,结果见表4。由表4可知,先添加可溶性淀粉抑制有机碳、再添加硫酸铜活化剂锌,可获得较好的锌回收率,且锌粗精矿中碳含量更低。
为了进一步降低锌精矿中碳含量,针对锌粗精矿开展了再磨后精选1可溶性淀粉用量试验。选矿厂原来的降碳再磨细度为-38 μm粒级占92%,本文采用相同的再磨细度进行试验,试验流程见图3,结果见图4
图4可知,随着精选1可溶性淀粉用量增加,锌精矿中碳品位呈下降趋势,锌品位呈增加趋势,锌回收率呈缓慢下降趋势;可溶性淀粉用量100 g/t时,锌精矿中碳品位降至1%以下,继续增加淀粉用量,锌精矿中碳含量变化不大。综合考虑药剂成本,确定精选1适宜的可溶性淀粉用量为100 g/t。
在条件试验基础上,进行了闭路试验,试验流程见图5,结果见表5。由表5可知,在原选锌工艺流程及药剂制度基础上,通过添加可溶性淀粉为碳抑制剂,可获得产率3.85%、锌品位48.71%、含碳0.86%、锌回收率90.28%的锌精矿。与现场原工艺指标相比,在提高锌精矿品位及回收率的同时,将锌精矿中碳含量降至0.86%,降碳效果显著。
1)某复杂铅锌矿选矿所得锌精矿中主要有价元素为锌,含量为2.01%,有机碳含量较高,为3.93%;硫化物主要为黄铁矿、雌黄铁矿、闪锌矿,微量铜硫化物;脉石矿物主要为硅酸盐矿物,以石英为主;有机碳主要赋存在石墨中,可浮性极好,主要呈微细粒鳞片状与其它脉石矿物混杂在一起,大部分粒度不超过5 μm。
2)针对该矿石特点,采用可溶性淀粉为碳抑制剂,闭路试验获得了锌品位48.71%、含碳0.86%、锌回收率90.28%的锌精矿。与现场原工艺指标相比,在提高锌精矿品位及回收率的同时,将锌精矿中碳含量降至1%以下,降碳效果显著。
3)本试验推荐药剂制度简单、药剂成本低、生产指标稳定。研究结果对同类矿石选矿具有较大的借鉴意义。
