Methylene blue was degraded by adopting a heterogeneous Fenton system composed of manganese residue and H2O2, and the effects of initial pH value, H2O2 concentration, dosage of manganese residue and reaction temperature on the degradation performance were studied. The reusability of manganese residue was investigated, and the removal mechanism of methylene blue in the manganese residue/H2O2 system was also discussed. The results show that the removal rate of methylene blue can exceed 98.1% after 120 min reaction at temperature of 25 ℃, with methylene blue concentration of 20 mg/L, H2O2 concentration of 10 mmol/L, manganese residue dosage of 2 g/L, and initial pH value of 2.5. After the manganese residue is recycled for 5 times, the removal rate of methylene blue can be still up to 95.5% by 300 min reaction. In the manganese residue/H2O2 heterogeneous Fenton system, ·OH plays a leading role in the degradation of methylene blue.

采用锰渣和H2O2构成的非均相Fenton体系降解亚甲基蓝,研究了初始pH值、H2O2浓度、锰渣加入量及反应温度对降解性能的影响,考察了锰渣的循环稳定性能,探讨了锰渣/H2O2体系去除亚甲基蓝的机理。结果表明,反应温度25 ℃、亚甲基蓝浓度20 mg/L、H2O2浓度10 mmol/L、初始pH值2.5、锰渣加入量2 g/L条件下反应120 min,锰渣/H2O2体系对亚甲基蓝的去除率超过98.1%;锰渣循环使用5次后,反应300 min时对亚甲基蓝的去除率仍可达95.5%。在锰渣/H2O2非均相Fenton体系中,·OH对亚甲基蓝的降解起主导作用。

采用锰渣和H2O2构成的非均相Fenton体系降解亚甲基蓝,研究了初始pH值、H2O2浓度、锰渣加入量及反应温度对降解性能的影响,考察了锰渣的循环稳定性能,探讨了锰渣/H2O2体系去除亚甲基蓝的机理。结果表明,反应温度25 ℃、亚甲基蓝浓度20 mg/L、H2O2浓度10 mmol/L、初始pH值2.5、锰渣加入量2 g/L条件下反应120 min,锰渣/H2O2体系对亚甲基蓝的去除率超过98.1%;锰渣循环使用5次后,反应300 min时对亚甲基蓝的去除率仍可达95.5%。在锰渣/H2O2非均相Fenton体系中,·OH对亚甲基蓝的降解起主导作用。

Methylene blue was degraded by adopting a heterogeneous Fenton system composed of manganese residue and H2O2, and the effects of initial pH value, H2O2 concentration, dosage of manganese residue and reaction temperature on the degradation performance were studied. The reusability of manganese residue was investigated, and the removal mechanism of methylene blue in the manganese residue/H2O2 system was also discussed. The results show that the removal rate of methylene blue can exceed 98.1% after 120 min reaction at temperature of 25 ℃, with methylene blue concentration of 20 mg/L, H2O2 concentration of 10 mmol/L, manganese residue dosage of 2 g/L, and initial pH value of 2.5. After the manganese residue is recycled for 5 times, the removal rate of methylene blue can be still up to 95.5% by 300 min reaction. In the manganese residue/H2O2 heterogeneous Fenton system, ·OH plays a leading role in the degradation of methylene blue.

利用Fenton氧化技术降解有机污染物具有高效性和普适性,目前已成功应用于处理多种难降解有机工业废水。传统的均相Fenton技术是以Fe2+等过渡金属离子催化H2O2生成高氧化电位的羟基自由基·OH,·OH先氧化分解有机污染物为中间体,然后进一步使其矿化生成H2O、CO2和小分子有机酸等无害产物。均相Fenton反应的缺点是溶液中的Fe2+含量较高(一般超过50 mg/L),需要在后续阶段中和去除,从而产生大量Fe(OH)3污泥。有研究表明,赤铁矿(Fe2O3)、黄铁矿(FeS2)和磁铁矿(Fe3O4)等含铁矿物可以催化H2O2生成·OH,可作为非均相Fenton催化材料,而且这些含铁矿物在水溶液中几乎不溶解,可以避免产生Fe(OH)3污泥。在众多含铁矿物中,磁铁矿(Fe3O4)催化活性高,且具有磁性,便于分离回收和重复使用,是一种典型的非均相Fenton催化材料[1-3]
锰渣是电解金属锰、电解二氧化锰或硫酸锰生产过程中,碳酸锰矿或氧化锰矿经硫酸浸出和固液分离后得到的工业固体废弃物。锰渣主要化学成分为Si、Al、Ca、Fe、S等元素,另外还含有可溶性Mn2+、Ni2+、Cr6+和Pb2+等有害离子,锰渣若不经处理随意堆放,会对周边空气、水和土壤等造成严重污染[4-5]。现阶段锰渣主要以渣库堆放为主,亟待资源化综合利用[6]。在各种锰渣中,氧化锰矿经高温还原和浸出后得到的锰渣铁元素含量较高,且主要以Fe3O4形式存在,是一种潜在的非均相Fenton催化材料,将其用于处理有机工业废水,可实现“以废治废”。
本文拟以氧化锰矿产出的锰渣和H2O2构成非均相Fenton反应体系,探索初始pH值、H2O2浓度、锰渣加入量和反应温度对亚甲基蓝去除效果的影响,考察催化剂的重复使用性能和降解机理,研究锰渣作为非均相Fenton催化材料的可行性。
实验所用锰渣取自广西某电解二氧化锰企业,使用前在烘箱中105 ℃干燥24 h,研磨后过100目(0.147 mm)筛。
实验试剂包括过氧化氢、盐酸、异丙醇、亚甲基蓝和铁标准溶液(1.000 g/L),均为分析纯。
实验仪器包括电热鼓风干燥箱(上海精宏,DHG-9146A)、pH计(上海雷磁,PHS-3S)、空气摇床(上海福玛,QYC-200)、原子吸收分光光度计(北京普析通用,TAS-990)、紫外可见分光光度计(美国安捷伦,Cary 60)、X射线粉末衍射仪(德国Bruker,D8 advance)和傅立叶红外光谱仪(美国Thermo Scientific,Nicolet 6700)等。
取一定量锰渣于试剂瓶中,倒入100 mL一定浓度的亚甲基蓝溶液,用盐酸调节溶液初始pH值,然后加入一定量H2O2,最后将试剂瓶置于摇床,设定温度后以250 r/min振荡一定时间,取样后用紫外可见分光光度计测定亚甲基蓝溶液浓度,计算亚甲基蓝去除率(η):
式中C0Ct分别为亚甲基蓝溶液的初始浓度和反应到t时刻的浓度,mg/L;t为降解时间,min。
初次降解时,取0.2 g锰渣于试剂瓶中,倒入100 mL浓度20 mg/L的亚甲基蓝溶液,用1 mol/L盐酸调节溶液初始pH值至2.5,加入H2O2调节其浓度至10 mmol/L,然后在25 ℃的空气摇床中以250 r/min振荡300 min。结束后将试剂瓶静置12 h,移出上清液,倒入100 mL浓度20 mg/L的亚甲基蓝溶液,用1 mol/L盐酸调节溶液初始pH值至3.0,其他条件同初次降解,进行第二次降解实验;重复以上步骤,考察锰渣的循环使用性能。
锰渣的化学组成等理化性质与所用锰矿原料类型、产地及锰产品生产工艺有很大关系,实验所用锰渣取自广西某电解二氧化锰企业,该企业以高品位氧化锰矿为原料,采用高温还原焙烧工艺生产二氧化锰。锰渣化学成分分析结果见表1,X射线衍射图谱见图1。可以看出,锰渣主要化学成分为Al、Fe、S、Mn、Si和K等元素,对应矿物为3Al2O3·4SO3·8H2O、SiO2和Fe3O4。通过粒度仪和比表面分析仪测试得到锰渣的中位径D50和比表面积分别为10.99 μm和29.95 m2/g。较高的Fe3O4含量、较小的粒度和较高的比表面积为锰渣催化H2O2降解有机污染物提供了良好的基础。另外,锰渣具有良好的磁性,经磁滞回线测试仪测试得到其饱和磁化强度为8.67 emu/g,这使其可通过外加磁场的方式从降解体系中分离回收和循环利用。
反应温度25 ℃、亚甲基蓝初始浓度20 mg/L、反应时间120 min条件下,考察了不同体系对亚甲基蓝的去除效果,结果如表2所示。从表2可知,未加锰渣的体系,亚甲基蓝去除率非常低,说明亚甲基蓝自身较为稳定,仅使用H2O2难以去除;加入锰渣的体系,亚甲基蓝去除率明显提升,未加入H2O2或未调节体系pH值时,亚甲基蓝去除率提升至12.1%~21.3%,可见锰渣对亚甲基蓝具有一定的吸附作用;同时加入H2O2并调节体系pH值至2.5时,亚甲基蓝去除率高达99.10%,表明锰渣在适宜pH值下可有效催化H2O2产生自由基,促进亚甲基蓝的降解。
反应温度25 ℃、亚甲基蓝浓度20 mg/L、H2O2浓度10 mmol/L、锰渣加入量2 g/L条件下,考察了体系在pH值2.0~4.0范围内对亚甲基蓝的去除效果,结果如图2所示。由图2可知,溶液初始pH值是锰渣催化H2O2降解亚甲基蓝的重要影响因素,初始pH值为2.5和3.0时,亚甲基蓝去除率较高,反应120 min时,去除率分别达到99.1%和95.2%。这是因为,反应体系pH值低于2.5时,催化生成的·OH会相互结合重新生成H2O2,使得溶液中·OH减少,亚甲基蓝去除率降低。而当初始pH值较高时,亚铁离子易变成铁离子并形成络合物,从而降低锰渣的催化性能[7]
反应温度25 ℃、亚甲基蓝浓度20 mg/L、锰渣加入量2 g/L、初始pH值2.5条件下,考察了H2O2浓度对亚甲基蓝去除率的影响,结果如图3所示。由图3可知,亚甲基蓝去除率随H2O2浓度提高呈先增加后降低的趋势。反应时间120 min,H2O2浓度1 mmol/L时亚甲基蓝去除率为93.3%;浓度增至10 mmol/L时,去除率达99.1%;继续增加H2O2浓度至20 mmol/L和40 mmol/L,亚甲基蓝去除率略有降低。·OH作为Fenton催化降解反应中的关键物质,其生成速率和数量与H2O2浓度紧密相关,提高H2O2浓度会增加·OH的产生量,从而加快亚甲基蓝的降解[8]。然而,H2O2浓度过高时,生成的·OH会与H2O2反应生成氧化能力较弱的·O2H,致使亚甲基蓝去除率降低[9-10],对应反应为:
反应温度25 ℃、亚甲基蓝浓度20 mg/L、H2O2浓度10 mmol/L、初始pH值2.5条件下,考察了锰渣加入量对亚甲基蓝去除率的影响,结果如图4所示。由图4可知,适量增加锰渣加入量可有效提高亚甲基蓝的去除速率,锰渣加入量从1 g/L增至5 g/L时,反应60 min时亚甲基蓝去除率从32.1%增至96.2%。这是因为,增加锰渣加入量能为体系催化反应提供更多的表面活性位点,加快H2O2分解,产生更多自由基,从而提高降解速率[11]。反应120 min、锰渣加入量1 g/L时,亚甲基蓝去除率提升至68.9%,锰渣加入量2~5 g/L时亚甲基蓝去除率均提升至97%以上。综合考虑,后续锰渣加入量选择2 g/L。
亚甲基蓝浓度20 mg/L、H2O2浓度10 mmol/L、初始pH值2.5、锰渣加入量2 g/L条件下,考察了反应温度对亚甲基蓝去除率的影响,结果如图5所示。由图5可知,提高反应温度可有效提升亚甲基蓝的去除速率。反应温度10 ℃,反应120 min时,亚甲基蓝去除率仅33.9%。反应温度55 ℃时,仅需反应45 min亚甲基蓝去除率即可达到97.8%。从化学动力学角度看,升温使反应体系能量升高,分子平均动能增加,分子间碰撞概率提高,从而加快催化降解反应的进行[12]。从节能降耗方面考虑,后续实验反应温度选择25 ℃。
由以上单因素实验得到锰渣催化H2O2去除亚甲基蓝的适宜条件为:反应温度25 ℃,H2O2浓度10 mmol/L,初始pH值2.5,锰渣加入量2 g/L。在该条件下进行了3次平行验证实验,反应120 min时亚甲基蓝去除率分别为98.1%、98.5%和99.3%,与单因素实验结果基本一致。
循环稳定性能是非均相Fenton催化剂的重要性能指标。锰渣循环稳定性能评价结果如图6所示。由图6可知,随着使用次数增加,锰渣催化H2O2降解亚甲基蓝的速率不断下降。第5次使用时,反应120 min时亚甲基蓝去除率仅60.2%,但反应300 min时,去除率仍达95.5%,说明锰渣作为非均相Fenton催化剂具有较好的重复使用性能。从循环实验过程中的Fe溶出量看,第1次降解后Fe溶出量为2.33 mg/L,第2~5次降解后Fe溶出量在0.52~0.73 mg/L范围内,说明锰渣在循环使用过程中结构较为稳定,损耗较小,具有良好的循环稳定性能。
反应温度25 ℃、亚甲基蓝浓度20 mg/L、H2O2浓度10 mmol/L、初始pH值2.5、锰渣加入量2 g/L条件下,测试不同反应时间下亚甲基蓝溶液的紫外可见吸收光谱,结果如图7所示。由图7可知,亚甲基蓝原溶液在291 nm、613 nm和665 nm处存在特征吸收峰,随着反应进行,3处特征峰强度逐渐减弱,反应120 min时,3处特征峰基本消失,且未出现新特征峰,同时亚甲基蓝溶液变为无色,说明溶液中的亚甲基蓝已被去除。
反应120 min后,将锰渣从溶液中过滤分离出来,烘干后进行红外光谱分析,并与亚甲基蓝及反应前锰渣的红外光谱进行比较,结果如图8所示。从图8可以看出,反应前后的锰渣红外光谱图无明显变化,特征峰主要为584 cm-1处Fe3O4的Fe—O伸缩振动吸收峰、1 082 cm-1处SiO2的Si—O—Si弯曲振动吸收峰、1 638 cm-1和3 448 cm-1处H2O的特征吸收峰,且反应后回收的锰渣中未出现亚甲基蓝的特征峰,说明反应后的锰渣没有吸附亚甲基蓝,亚甲基蓝的去除源于锰渣/H2O2非均相Fenton体系的催化降解作用。
在研究的Fenton体系中加入自由基淬灭剂,通过对比添加淬灭剂前后有机污染物的降解效果,可间接证实羟基自由基的存在,并可定量计算对应自由基对有机污染物降解的贡献。本文选取常见·OH淬灭剂异丙醇,在反应温度25 ℃、亚甲基蓝浓度20 mg/L、H2O2浓度10 mmol/L、初始pH值2.5、锰渣加入量2 g/L条件下进行淬灭实验,结果如图9所示。由图9可知,加入异丙醇后,亚甲基蓝去除率明显降低,异丙醇加入量10 mmol/L、反应120 min时亚甲基蓝去除率仅33.0%,表明在锰渣催化H2O2降解亚甲基蓝过程中,·OH起主导作用。
1)实验所用锰渣Fe3O4含量较高,且具有较小的粒度、较高的比表面积和良好的磁性,可与H2O2构成非均相Fenton催化体系处理有机工业废水,实现“以废治废”。
2)锰渣催化H2O2去除亚甲基蓝的适宜条件为:反应温度25 ℃、H2O2浓度10 mmol/L、初始pH值2.5、锰渣加入量2 g/L。在该条件下反应120 min,体系对20 mg/L亚甲基蓝的去除率超过98.1%。锰渣重复使用5次后,反应300 min时对亚甲基蓝的去除率仍可达95.5%,说明其具有良好的循环稳定性能。
3)在锰渣催化H2O2处理亚甲基蓝过程中,·OH的氧化降解作用对亚甲基蓝的去除起主导作用。
