Although the annual production of low-concentration microfine-grained ilmenite in Pan-Xi region attains over 1 million tons, it is not conducive to adopt flotation process for the subsequent titanium selection due to the microfine particle size, large volume and low concentration of this ore. For this resource, comparative experiments were conducted based on two major flowsheets, including “SLon high-intensity magnetic separation + flotation” and “desliming using new type of cyclone+flotation”. The results show that the latter process flowsheet has a lower consumption of reagents, and the obtained titanium concentrate has better indicators, with a titanium concentrate grading 47.06% TiO2 at 59.03% recovery with the yield of 20.22%.

攀西地区每年产生的低浓度微细粒级钛铁矿大约在100万吨以上,由于该矿石粒度微细、体积量大、浓度低,不利于后续浮选工艺选钛。针对该资源开展“SLon强磁选+浮选”和“新型旋流器浓缩脱泥+浮选”两大流程对比试验,最终得出“新型旋流器浓缩脱泥+浮选”流程药剂消耗量更低,所获得的钛精矿指标更优(钛精矿产率20.22%、TiO2品位47.06%、TiO2回收率59.03%)。

Although the annual production of low-concentration microfine-grained ilmenite in Pan-Xi region attains over 1 million tons, it is not conducive to adopt flotation process for the subsequent titanium selection due to the microfine particle size, large volume and low concentration of this ore. For this resource, comparative experiments were conducted based on two major flowsheets, including “SLon high-intensity magnetic separation + flotation” and “desliming using new type of cyclone+flotation”. The results show that the latter process flowsheet has a lower consumption of reagents, and the obtained titanium concentrate has better indicators, with a titanium concentrate grading 47.06% TiO2 at 59.03% recovery with the yield of 20.22%.

攀西地区是中国最大的钛资源基地,钛资源量占全国钛储量的90%。该地区钛资源主要赋存在钒钛磁铁矿中,其中含有8%~10%的二氧化钛[1-5]。该类资源开发一般采用先选铁后选钛工艺[6-7]。钛铁矿性脆,经过选铁、选钛多段磨选后,极易过粉碎。过粉碎的钛铁矿严重影响后续浮选作业,为了确保钛精矿质量、降低药剂耗量,当前常采用斜板浓密机将其脱除并作为矿泥丢弃。攀西地区每年通过斜板浓密机脱除的矿泥量(溢流)超过100万吨,造成钛资源的极大浪费。
斜板浓密机溢流中微细粒级钛铁矿具有粒度微细、体积量大、浓度低等回收难点,长期制约该资源的工业回收。本文针对回收难点,开展2种工艺对比试验,其中采用新型旋流器浓缩脱泥+浮选流程获得了钛精矿TiO2品位大于47%、TiO2回收率59%以上的微细粒级钛铁矿。
试样为攀西某选矿厂的斜板浓密机溢流,浓度(质量分数)5%左右。试样化学多元素和钛物相分析结果分别见表1表2,主要矿物组成及含量见表3,全粒级筛析结果见表4
表13可知,试样中有用矿物主要为钛铁矿,其次还有少量钛磁铁矿和金属硫化物。钛主要赋存在钛铁矿中,其次赋存于榍石中。脉石矿物主要为辉石和绿泥石,次为长石和闪石。
表4可知,试样粒度微细,-0.038 mm粒级产率达到了93.26%。TiO2品位随着粒度变细而整体呈增加趋势,但-0.005 mm粒级反而出现了明显贫化,TiO2品位降低。由于目前采用常规选矿方法难以高效回收-0.010 mm粒级钛矿物,且它的存在严重影响选钛指标,有必要预先将其抛除。
根据斜板浓密机溢流中微细粒级钛铁矿矿石性质,考虑常规强磁选设备具有脱泥和富集钛铁矿效果,而新型旋流器适合于极低浓度、极大体积量微细粒级钛铁矿的浓缩和脱泥[8],拟开展两大流程对比试验,探寻高效回收该钛铁矿资源适宜的工业应用工艺流程。流程1(见图1):先采用SLon强磁选对斜板浓密机溢流进行预富集、再对预富集的强磁选精矿进行浮选得到钛精矿;流程2(见图2):先采用CZ100新型旋流器对斜板浓密机溢流进行浓缩脱泥,再对旋流器沉砂进行浮选得到钛精矿。
采用SLon强磁选机[9-11]对斜板浓密机溢流进行了一次粗选、一次扫选预富集试验(粗选和扫选磁场强度分别为800和720 kA/m),结果见表5。采用SLon强磁选机对斜板浓密机溢流进行一次粗选和一次扫选预富集,可获得产率72.24%、TiO2品位18.96%、TiO2回收率84.97%的强磁选混合精矿。
对SLon强磁选预富集所得混合精矿进行了浮选试验,试验流程见图3,试验结果见表6。SLon强磁选预富集混合精矿经脱硫-浮钛浮选作业,可获得作业产率11.30%、TiO2品位47.21%、TiO2作业回收率28.12%的钛精矿。
在条件试验和开路试验基础上,对斜板浓密机溢流进行了SLon强磁选-浮选闭路试验,试验流程见图4,结果见表7。强磁选-浮选闭路试验可获得产率9.17%、TiO2品位47.09%、TiO2回收率26.79%的钛精矿。
采用长沙矿冶研究院有限责任公司生产的CZ100新型旋流器对斜板浓密机溢流进行浓缩脱泥试验(锥角10°,给料压力0.12~0.20 MPa,溢流管直径30~40 mm,沉砂口直径5~10 mm),结果见表8。CZ100新型旋流器采用双圆弧设计入矿口,以理想耐磨材料模压整体烧结成型。采用CZ100新型旋流器对斜板浓密机溢流进行浓缩脱泥处理,可获得产率66.05%、TiO2品位18.68%、TiO2回收率76.49%的分级沉砂。
进一步对CZ100新型旋流器沉砂进行浮选试验,试验流程见图5,结果见表9。旋流器沉砂经浮选,可获得作业产率26.21%、TiO2品位47.13%、TiO2作业回收率66.14%的钛精矿。
在条件试验和开路试验基础上,对斜板浓密机溢流进行了新型旋流器浓缩脱泥-浮选闭路试验,试验流程见图6,结果见表10。新型旋流器浓缩脱泥-浮选闭路试验可获得产率20.22%、TiO2品位47.06%、TiO2回收率59.03%的钛精矿。
将以上两种流程所得钛精矿指标进行综合对比,结果见表11。从表11可知,两种流程均可获得TiO2品位大于47%的钛精矿,但流程2所获得的钛精矿产率和回收率指标更高。
浮钛作业主要的药剂为调整剂硫酸和浮钛捕收剂。两种流程所用主要药剂用量对比结果见图7。从图7可知,流程2(新型旋流器浓缩脱泥-浮选)的硫酸和选钛捕收剂药耗比流程1(强磁选-浮选)的药耗低。
由以上对比分析可知,流程2的浮选药耗明显低于流程1的浮选药耗,且流程2所获得的最终钛精矿指标更优,说明流程2的浮选给矿更利于浮选。为分析原因,将两种流程获得的浮选给矿进行全粒级筛析对比,结果见表12。从表12可知,流程2的浮选给矿(新型旋流器沉砂)中(-0.010+0.005)mm粒级中TiO2品位超过30%,说明新型旋流器对此粒级钛铁矿有较好的富集作用。流程2的浮选给矿中-0.005 mm粒级矿物产率不到1%,明显低于流程1的浮选给矿,说明-0.005 mm粒级矿物是制约目前浮选回收的主要原因,新型旋流器能将这部分矿泥有效脱除,降低了浮选药剂用量、提高了浮选效率。
综上所述,在品位相近的情况下,流程2即“新型旋流器浓缩脱泥+浮选”流程指标更优,推荐该流程为斜板浓密机溢流中微细粒级钛铁矿高效回收工艺流程。
攀西地区某选矿厂斜板浓密机溢流中钛铁矿粒度微细,-0.038 mm粒级产率达93.26%,钛主要赋存在钛铁矿中,其次赋存于榍石中,脉石矿物主要为辉石和绿泥石,次为长石和闪石。浮选药剂用量和钛精矿产品指标综合比较结果表明,在品位相近的情况下,新型旋流器浓缩脱泥+浮选流程所获得的指标更优,可获得产率20.22%、TiO2品位47.06%、TiO2回收率59.03%的钛精矿。采用新型旋流器浓缩脱泥+浮选流程能实现低浓度微细粒级钛铁矿的高效工业回收。
