The influence and reaction mechanism of sodium humate as a depressant on the flotation of apatite, dolomite and calcite in sodium oleate system were investigated by performing single-mineral flotation test, adsorption test, Zeta potential measurement, infrared spectroscopy analysis and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analysis. The results show that sodium humate can strongly depress dolomite and calcite at pH of 7, but has less effect on apatite flotation. Sodium humate is weakly adsorbed onto apatite, but it can be adsorbed onto dolomite via chemical bonding, and also adsorbed onto calcite by the combined effect of hydrogen bonding and chemisorption. As a result, the variation in adsorption of sodium humate onto apatite, dolomite and calcite leads to its selective depression of the latter two minerals.

通过单矿物浮选试验、吸附量测试、Zeta电位测试、红外光谱分析和X射线光电子能谱分析探究油酸钠体系下抑制剂腐植酸钠对磷灰石、白云石、方解石浮选的影响及作用机理。结果表明:pH=7时,腐植酸钠可强烈抑制白云石和方解石,而对磷灰石可浮性影响较小;腐植酸钠通过化学键合吸附在白云石表面上,通过氢键和化学吸附作用在方解石表面,但在磷灰石表面的吸附较弱,腐植酸钠在磷灰石、白云石和方解石表面的吸附差异导致其选择性抑制白云石和方解石。

The influence and reaction mechanism of sodium humate as a depressant on the flotation of apatite, dolomite and calcite in sodium oleate system were investigated by performing single-mineral flotation test, adsorption test, Zeta potential measurement, infrared spectroscopy analysis and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analysis. The results show that sodium humate can strongly depress dolomite and calcite at pH of 7, but has less effect on apatite flotation. Sodium humate is weakly adsorbed onto apatite, but it can be adsorbed onto dolomite via chemical bonding, and also adsorbed onto calcite by the combined effect of hydrogen bonding and chemisorption. As a result, the variation in adsorption of sodium humate onto apatite, dolomite and calcite leads to its selective depression of the latter two minerals.

磷灰石(即氟磷灰石、羟基磷灰石和氯磷灰石)是自然界常见的含磷矿物,是提取磷的重要资源。一般来说,天然磷灰石主要以氟磷灰石形式存在于磷酸盐矿床中,通常伴生石英、白云石和方解石等硅酸盐或碳酸盐矿物[1-2]。磷灰石浮选的主要问题是与碳酸盐矿物的分离,因为碳酸盐矿物和磷酸盐矿物表面含有相同的Ca位点,表面性质相似,难以实现分离[3-4]。传统的磷矿浮选一般采用反浮选法,即氟磷灰石在酸性条件下被抑制,通过添加脂肪酸捕收剂浮起碳酸盐矿物,从而实现磷灰石与脉石矿物的分离。然而,反浮选需要添加大量无机酸如H2SO4、H3PO4或两者的混合物以降低矿浆pH值。在酸性环境下浮选,设备容易被腐蚀,含磷的酸性废水如果不加以处理也会污染环境[5]。开发选择性好、无毒环保的碳酸盐矿物抑制剂对加强我国中低品位磷矿资源的利用具有重要意义。
腐植酸钠是从褐煤中提取的一种多羧基大分子有机物,极易溶于水,水溶液呈弱碱性,中间产物和最终产物无毒,不会对环境造成影响。腐植酸钠具有羧基亲水性基团,具有离子交换、吸附、络合、高分散性等良好特性[6],但腐植酸钠对碳酸盐矿物的抑制机理却鲜有报道。本文以腐植酸钠为抑制剂,通过单矿物浮选试验、吸附量测试、Zeta电位测试、红外光谱分析和X射线光电子能谱(XPS)分析阐释腐植酸钠对磷灰石、白云石、方解石的选择性抑制机理。
试验所用磷灰石、方解石购自广州市叶氏矿石标本店,白云石购自山麟石语矿产品淘宝店。试验矿样经橡胶锤敲碎后再经陶瓷球磨机磨细,通过套筛筛分得到38~74 μm粒级矿样用于单矿物浮选。
浮选试验以氢氧化钠(NaOH)为调整剂、腐植酸钠为抑制剂、油酸钠为捕收剂,所有药剂均为分析纯。试验用水为去离子水。
浮选设备为XFG型挂槽浮选机,主轴转速为1 680 r/min。每次称取2 g样品置于浮选机槽内,用NaOH调节矿浆pH值,pH值稳定后搅拌2 min,加入抑制剂腐植酸钠搅拌4 min,随后加入油酸钠搅拌3 min,加入挡板待泡沫稳定后刮泡5 min,将所得精矿、尾矿烘干、称量并计算浮选回收率。
使用日本岛津UV2550紫外分光光度计测定腐植酸钠最佳波长,在最佳波长条件下测定不同浓度腐植酸钠溶液的吸光度变化,绘制其标准曲线。取上层清液测量其吸光度,通过药剂的标准曲线计算矿物表面吸附腐植酸钠含量。
通过Zetasizer Nano ZS90电位仪测定药剂作用前后矿物表面的Zeta电位,每个样品重复测定表面电位3次,取平均值。使用Nicolet iS20光谱仪测试矿物与药剂作用前后的红外光谱。使用ESCALAB 250Xi型X射线光电子能谱仪测试样品XPS,每个样品测量3次,取平均值。
pH=7、仅添加油酸钠条件下,油酸钠浓度对矿物浮选回收率的影响见图1。随着油酸钠用量增加,3种矿物浮选回收率均增加。油酸钠浓度2×10-4 mol/L时,磷灰石回收率达到90%以上且与方解石回收率相近,此时白云石回收率也超过了60%。在仅添加油酸钠的情况下无法实现3种矿物的分离。
油酸钠浓度2×10-4 mol/L条件下,矿浆pH值对矿物浮选回收率的影响见图2。在pH=7~11范围内,3种矿物浮选回收率较为稳定,油酸钠体系下适宜的矿浆pH值为7。
pH=7、油酸钠浓度2×10-4 mol/L条件下,腐植酸钠质量浓度对矿物浮选回收率的影响见图3。随着腐植酸钠质量浓度增加,白云石和方解石受到明显抑制,腐植酸钠质量浓度65 mg/L时,白云石和方解石回收率分别为0.42%和6.88%,均低于10%。而磷灰石浮选回收率受腐植酸钠的影响较小,腐植酸钠质量浓度65 mg/L时,磷灰石回收率为62.77%。可见以腐植酸钠为抑制剂可以选择性分离磷灰石与碳酸盐矿物。
腐植酸钠质量浓度对矿物表面吸附量的影响见图4。腐植酸钠在磷灰石、白云石和方解石表面均发生了吸附,随着腐植酸钠质量浓度增加,白云石和方解石表面吸附量明显增加,磷灰石表面吸附量变化较小。腐植酸钠质量浓度65 mg/L时磷灰石表面吸附量达到峰值,但明显低于白云石、方解石表面吸附量。可见腐植酸钠对白云石和方解石具有明显的抑制效果。
矿物与药剂作用前后的Zeta电位变化情况见图5。由图5可知:加入腐植酸钠后,磷灰石Zeta电位负移,证明有部分腐植酸钠吸附在磷灰石表面;加入腐植酸钠和油酸钠后,磷灰石Zeta电位进一步发生较大负移,证明腐植酸钠在磷灰石表面的吸附不会影响油酸钠在其表面的吸附。白云石和方解石在加入腐植酸钠后电位均发生负移,表明腐植酸钠吸附在白云石和方解石表面;继续加入油酸钠,2种矿物Zeta电位变化不明显,证明腐植酸钠会影响油酸钠在白云石和方解石表面的吸附。
图6为药剂作用前后矿物的红外光谱。腐植酸钠1 383.49和1 577.09 cm-1处的峰分别为COO—的不对称和对称伸缩振动峰,1 033.42 cm-1处的峰为C—O—C的伸缩振动峰[7]。腐植酸钠处理前后磷灰石红外光谱特征峰相似,并未出现新峰,但发生了微弱偏移,可认为磷灰石表面出现了腐植酸钠的弱吸附。白云石的特征峰在1 445.76、881.22以及728.59 cm-1[8]。白云石与腐植酸钠作用后在1 386.52 cm-1处生成了新的特征吸收峰,说明腐植酸钠在白云石表面发生了强烈的化学吸附。方解石的特征峰在1 423.87、875.66、711.81 cm-1[9]。方解石经腐植酸钠处理后,3 443.84 cm-1处的O—H振动峰强度减弱,表明二者之间形成了氢键;同时在1 561.07 cm-1处生成了新的特征峰,说明腐植酸钠在方解石表面发生了强烈的化学吸附,即腐植酸钠在方解石表面发生了强烈的化学吸附和氢键作用。
65 mg/L腐植酸钠作用前后矿物表面Ca2p、Mg1s光谱如图7所示。未经处理的磷灰石表面Ca2p光谱中的峰位于347.46和350.96 eV处,经腐植酸钠处理后,磷灰石表面的Ca2p光谱中的峰位于347.37和350.94 eV处[10],药剂处理前后,磷灰石Ca2p轨道上的结合能几乎未发生偏移,表明磷灰石表面的Ca位点与腐植酸间的相互作用较弱,磷灰石中Ca2+所处的化学环境基本没有变化。白云石和方解石的结合能发生了显著变化,表明腐植酸钠与白云石、方解石表面Ca位点的相互作用比其与磷灰石表面Ca位点的相互作用更强烈,同时白云石Mg1s轨道上的结合能由1 303.72 eV偏移至1 304.23 eV,表明腐植酸钠通过化学吸附方式吸附在白云石表面Ca、Mg位点、方解石表面Ca位点上,占据了白云石、方解石上油酸钠的吸附位点。
65 mg/L腐植酸钠作用前后矿物表面O1s光谱如图8所示。531.44和532.64 eV处的峰分别归因于磷灰石中的P—O和CO2[11]。添加腐植酸钠后,磷灰石O1s轨道并没有出现新的峰,表明腐植酸钠在磷灰石表面吸附较弱。白云石表面在531.36和532.99 eV处的2个峰分别配给C—O和CO2[12],经腐植酸钠处理后,在533.42 eV处生成了新的氧峰,推测白云石表面的Ca及Mg与腐植酸钠的羧基发生了化学反应。方解石在531.17和531.75 eV处的峰归因于C—O和CO2[13],经腐植酸钠处理后,在533.51 eV处出现了新的峰值,归因于腐植酸钠中的COO—[14],表明腐植酸钠的羧基与方解石表面Ca位点发生了化学反应,吸附在方解石表面。
晶体结构差异和表面电荷差异是吸附机理不同的原因。磷灰石表面的主要离子为带负电荷的PO43-,离子体积大且负电荷高,白云石和方解石表面的主要离子则为带正电荷的Ca2+[15]。由图5可知,pH=7时,裸磷灰石的Zeta电位(-14.8 mV)小于裸白云石、裸方解石的Zeta电位(-5.58、5.85 mV),因此磷灰石可能通过较强的静电斥力和空间位阻效应阻碍腐植酸钠在矿物表面的吸附,而油酸钠分子结构为直链,性质较活泼,受空间位阻效应影响较小,可以吸附在矿物表面。另外,磷灰石、白云石和方解石与腐植酸钠的表面位点匹配度不同也导致了腐植酸钠在其表面吸附行为的差异。腐植酸钠COOH基团O—O的距离为0.486 7 nm。然而,(001)磷灰石、(104)白云石和(104)方解石的纵向距离分别为0.546 1、0.482 4和0.500 4 nm。COOH基团O—O的距离与白云石和方解石中Ca—Ca距离相似,促进了腐植酸钠中COOH基团与方解石表面活化Ca位点间的反应。因此,大量的腐植酸钠通过化学键合吸附在白云石和方解石表面,严重阻碍了后续油酸钠在矿物表面的吸附。
1)pH=7、腐植酸钠质量浓度65 mg/L、油酸钠浓度2.0×10-4 mol/L条件下,磷灰石、白云石、方解石的浮选回收率分别为62.77%、0.42%、6.88%,该条件下可实现磷灰石与白云石及方解石的浮选分离。
2)吸附量和Zeta电位测试结果表明,腐植酸钠在磷灰石、白云石、方解石表面上均有吸附,但在磷灰石表面吸附较少,对其可浮性影响不大,在白云石和方解石表面吸附较多,抑制效果较强,会影响后续油酸钠的吸附。
3)红外光谱和XPS分析结果表明,腐植酸钠与白云石表面的Ca、Mg发生强烈的化学吸附,通过氢键和化学吸附作用在方解石表面,而在磷灰石表面的吸附较弱。
4)腐植酸钠与磷灰石的弱吸附归因于腐植酸钠与磷灰石表面间的静电排斥和空间位阻。腐植酸钠的COOH基团与(104)方解石、(104)白云石平面吻合良好,吸附结构稳定。使用腐植酸钠作抑制剂可以实现磷灰石与白云石及方解石的浮选分离。
