A chrysoberyl-type beryllium ore from Xinjiang, containing 0.102% Be with quartz as the dominant gangue mineral, was taken in an experimental study on sulfuric acid leaching. According to the Box-Behnken experimental design principle, a multivariate regression equation was established by using response surface methodology (RSM) for three influencing factors of leaching effect, including liquid-solid ratio, leaching time and leaching temperature, as well as their interactions. Based on the test of significance of regression equation, the optimum process conditions were determined as follows: roasting temperature of 900 ℃, roasting time of 3 h, sulfuric acid concentration of 50%, liquid-solid ratio of 3.2∶1, leaching time of 4.8 h and leaching temperature of 90 ℃. Under these conditions, the Be leaching rate is predicted to be 89.73%, and an average value is 89.10% based on three parallel experiments, indicating that the established model is accurate. A kinetic model of leaching revealed that the leaching process was controlled by interfacial chemical reactions, with an apparent activation energy at 50.42 kJ/mol.

新疆某地金绿宝石型铍矿中铍质量分数0.102%,脉石矿物主要为石英。以硫酸为浸出剂,对铍进行酸浸实验研究,通过响应曲面法,利用Box-Behnken设计方法建立了影响浸出效果的3个主要因素(液固比、浸出时间、浸出温度)以及三者之间交互作用的多元回归方程,并对该回归方程进行了显著性检验。确定较佳工艺条件为:焙烧温度900 ℃、焙烧时间3 h、硫酸质量浓度50%、液固比3.2∶1、浸出时间4.8 h、浸出温度90 ℃,此条件下铍浸出率预测值为89.73%,3组平行实验铍浸出率平均值为89.10%,二者偏差较小,表明模型准确。浸出动力学模型拟合结果表明,该浸出过程受界面化学反应控制,反应表观活化能为50.42 kJ/mol。

A chrysoberyl-type beryllium ore from Xinjiang, containing 0.102% Be with quartz as the dominant gangue mineral, was taken in an experimental study on sulfuric acid leaching. According to the Box-Behnken experimental design principle, a multivariate regression equation was established by using response surface methodology (RSM) for three influencing factors of leaching effect, including liquid-solid ratio, leaching time and leaching temperature, as well as their interactions. Based on the test of significance of regression equation, the optimum process conditions were determined as follows: roasting temperature of 900 ℃, roasting time of 3 h, sulfuric acid concentration of 50%, liquid-solid ratio of 3.2∶1, leaching time of 4.8 h and leaching temperature of 90 ℃. Under these conditions, the Be leaching rate is predicted to be 89.73%, and an average value is 89.10% based on three parallel experiments, indicating that the established model is accurate. A kinetic model of leaching revealed that the leaching process was controlled by interfacial chemical reactions, with an apparent activation energy at 50.42 kJ/mol.

铍具有特殊的物理和化学性质,被广泛应用于核能、火箭、航空航天等重要领域,已引起世界各国关注[1-2]。自然界中铍矿物类型约50种,其中仅金绿宝石、绿柱石等具有工业价值。金绿宝石型铍矿多与萤石、绢云母、方解石和石英等矿物致密共生,有些矿石中各组分甚至相互包裹,嵌布粒度细,采用常规选矿方法处理此类矿石较为困难[3-4],越来越多的学者采用湿法工艺提取铍[5]。对于含钙碳酸盐型铍矿,一般采用先浮选钙矿物、然后采用浸出或浮选法再分离铍矿,而对于硅酸盐型铍矿研究相对较少,对浸出过程中反应动力学报道则更少[6-9]。本文针对脉石矿物以硅酸盐为主的金绿宝石型铍矿,利用响应曲面法优化铍矿浸出实验条件,并研究酸浸时的浸出动力学,为金绿宝石型铍矿工业化提铍提供技术依据。
实验用金绿宝石型铍矿来自新疆某地选矿厂,原矿化学成分分析结果见表1,原矿XRD图谱见图1。由表1可知,原矿中主要有价元素为Be,质量分数为0.102%。由图1可知,含铍矿物主要为金绿宝石型铍矿、塔菲石,脉石矿物主要为石英。
实验仪器主要有WD-2L智能数显恒温水浴锅、MYP2022-100电动搅拌器、HG101-3型电热鼓风干燥箱、EP-150×250型颚式破碎机、KL-MFL100智能一体马弗炉等。主要实验试剂为浓硫酸(98%,分析纯)。
原矿经过焙烧,矿石内部结构发生破坏,有利于硫酸浸出。酸浸时发生的主要化学反应式为:
原矿经破碎机破碎至3 mm以下,采用堆锥法取样,分别用作实验、化验和备份。实验样经Φ200 mm×250 mm圆筒棒磨机磨矿至1 mm以下,再经马弗炉高温焙烧后,所得焙烧样用于后续浸出实验。实验过程中,浸出剂现用现配,考虑到实验成本和高浓度硫酸在实验操作中存在风险,采取质量浓度50%的硫酸进行酸浸实验。
每次称取50 g实验样倒入浸出装置中,按照液固比加入相应的硫酸,浸出结束后马上过滤,并用去离子水洗涤浸出渣3~6次,然后烘干、缩分、制样,化验浸出渣中铍含量,并计算铍的浸出率:
式中:ε为铍浸出率,%α为焙烧矿中铍的质量分数,%β为浸出渣中铍的质量分数,%m为焙烧矿质量,g;m1为浸出渣质量,g。
前期单因素探索实验结果表明:-1 mm铍矿在900 ℃下焙烧3 h,所得焙烧矿采用质量浓度50%的硫酸浸出,在液固比3∶1、浸出时间4 h、浸出温度80 ℃条件下,铍浸出率为80.13%。影响金绿宝石型铍矿浸出效果的主要因素为液固比、浸出时间及浸出温度。采用响应曲面法,利用Design-expert 8.0软件中的Box-Behnken设计方法(BBD),以液固比(X1)、浸出时间(X2)和浸出温度(X3)建立三因素三水平实验,实验因素水平及编码如表2所示,结果如表3所示,回归模型方差分析结果如表4所示,回归方程系数显著性检测结果见表5
利用软件对浸出实验结果进行回归分析,以液固比(X1)、浸出时间(X2)、浸出温度(X3)为自变量,铍矿浸出率为响应值Y,拟合得到二次回归方程为:
P值可以用来表征回归模型相关系数的显著性,P值越小,越显著[10]。由表4表5可以看出,该模型P值小于0.0001,表明数据拟合程度较好,模型较为显著,其中,决定系数为0.992 2,调整决定系数为0.982 2,从统计学意义上讲,该模型可作为预测分析实验数据的依据。
P值小于0.05时,表示该项指标显著。由表5可知,液固比(X1)、浸出时间(X2)、浸出温度(X3)的P值均小于0.000 1,表明这3个因素对铍浸出率影响高度显著,其中,交互项浸出时间与浸出温度(X2X3)相比较另两组交互项对浸出率影响更显著。
F值是对模型拟合及其系数进行显著性检验的指标,一般F值越大,该模型表现得越显著[11]。由表5可以看出,X2X1X3X2X3F值分别为332.47、124.13、120.39、61.35,这些因素对铍矿浸出率影响显著性大小顺序为:X2>X1>X3>X2X3
基于铍矿浸出结果的实际值和预测值,利用Design-Expert软件中的Diagnostics Tool功能,进行了数据拟合,得到本次浸出实验铍浸出率实际值与预测值对比结果,如图2所示,浸出率残差分布情况见图3
图2可以看出,本次实验铍浸出率实际值与预测值相互靠近,回归方程的相关系数R2=0.992,接近1,表明模型拟合度很高,回归方程拟合效果较好。从图3可以看出,17组实验点分布较均衡,残差值集中分布于中间位置,基本呈正态分布特征,表明实验模型误差主要以系统误差为主,说明实验过程处于稳定的受控状态,模型准确性和稳定度较高,能够满足预测要求。
利用软件中的Model Graph功能绘制3个因素之间的三维响应曲面及相应的等高线图,结果如图46所示,可以参考等高线的形状及三维曲面的曲率来判断各因素之间交互作用的强弱。
表3图4可知,固定浸出温度为80 ℃(0水平),随着浸出时间增加,铍浸出率表现出增长趋势,液固比为2∶1(-1水平)时,浸出时间从3 h增加到5 h,铍浸出率由77.25%提高到79.81%。液固比与浸出时间交互作用形成的等高线图谱没有呈现椭圆形状,二者之间的交互效应不显著。
图5可知,液固比与浸出温度二者之间的交互效应不显著,且呈现的三维曲面较平缓,这与表5结果相同。由表3可知,浸出温度70 ℃时,随着液固比提高,铍浸出率能从78.16%增长到83.26%,呈现明显的增长趋势,这是由于提高液固比能增加浸出过程中液相与固相之间的接触面积,同时也能降低液体内扩散阻力。实验过程中适当增大液固比可以提高铍浸出率。
图6可知,浸出温度与浸出时间二者之间交互作用显著,这两个因素与铍浸出率之间能形成抛物线关系,等高线图谱形成类似椭圆形状,有极值存在于所选范围的响应曲面的最高点。由表3可知,浸出过程中固定液固比为3∶1(0水平),延长浸出时间和提高浸出温度均对铍浸出率产生有利影响,浸出温度90 ℃(1水平)时,随着浸出时间从3 h增加到5 h,铍浸出率从75.28%提高到85.19%,提高幅度达到了13.16%。
利用响应曲面法对铍矿浸出过程的因素条件进行优化,得到最佳浸出参数为:液固比3.2∶1、浸出时间4.8 h、浸出温度90 ℃,此时铍浸出率的模型预测值为89.73%。在该浸出条件下进行了3组平行实验,铍浸出率分别为89.12%、88.93%、89.25%,平均值为89.10%。铍浸出率平均值与模型预测值非常接近,表明二者之间的高度相关性,同时也能说明该预测模型在本次实验研究范围内是有效、合理的。
最佳浸出条件下所得浸出渣SEM图片如图7所示,浸出渣EDS化学成分分析结果如表6所示。由表6可知,与原矿相比,浸出渣3个位点铍含量大幅度降低,表明硫酸对铍矿的浸出效果明显。
原矿中含有CaO类矿物,它与硫酸发生化学反应:
高温焙烧后,原矿中各矿物晶体结构受到破坏,矿物之间的裂缝变大,空隙增多,能促进反应(1)和反应(2)向着有利方向进行,但是随着反应持续发生,反应(5)会产生大量硫酸钙,硫酸钙是一种微溶物质,能吸附在矿物表面,阻碍硫酸向矿物内部扩散,进而降低后续浸出效果。在浸出渣表面检测出钙、硫元素,表明反应过程中的确生成了硫酸钙微溶物阻碍浸出效果。为了进一步提高浸出率,可以在浸出前采用浮选等方法预先脱出钙矿物,以降低后续影响。
铍与硫酸的反应为液-固反应过程,可以用收缩未反应核模型进行分析,控制步骤可能受固态产物层扩散控制、界面化学反应控制或混合控制[12]。在液固比3.2∶1条件下进行实验,不同温度下铍浸出率与反应时间的关系如图8所示。结合表2表3结果,补充了一组110 ℃(383 K)条件下的浸出试验,不同温度下1-(1-X1/3t的拟合曲线如图9所示,不同温度下1-2/3X-(1-X2/3t的拟合曲线如图10所示。
对比分析图9图10可知,1-(1-X1/3t呈现的线性关系更好,表明铍酸浸反应速率受界面化学反应控制,延长浸出时间和提高浸出温度有利于提高浸出效果。
图9得到383、363、343 K时表观速率常数k分别为0.053 5、0.040 1、0.008 5 h-1。对阿伦尼乌斯公式两边求对数,可得:
式中:K为反应速率;A为指前因子;Ea为反应表观活化能,kJ/mol;R为摩尔气体常数,J/(mol·K);T为反应温度,K。用-lnK与1/T作图,并进行线性拟合,结果如图11所示。拟合方程呈现较好的线性关系,相关系数为0.986 3,求得表观活化能Ea=50.42 kJ/mol。Ea>42 kJ/mol时,反应受化学反应控制,进一步证明铍浸出反应速率受界面化学反应控制。
1)利用响应曲面法Design Expert 8.0软件中的Box-Behnken设计方法(BBD)对新疆某选矿厂金绿宝石型铍矿浸出条件进行了优化,影响浸出率的重要次序为:浸出时间>液固比>浸出温度>浸出时间与浸出温度的交互作用。
2)响应曲面法优化金绿宝石型铍矿浸出实验,得到最佳浸出条件为:液固比3.2∶1,浸出时间4.8 h,浸出温度90 ℃。该条件下铍浸出率模型预测值为89.73%。通过3组实验进行验证,铍浸出率平均值为89.10%,与模型预测值接近,吻合度较高。
3)影响铍浸出率的主要因素是反应过程中生成微溶物质硫酸钙。对于含有钙类矿物的铍矿,可以在浸出前采用浮选等方法预先脱除钙矿物进而提高铍浸出率。反应温度343~383 K、液固比3.2∶1条件下,铍酸浸过程符合收缩未反应核模型,浸出过程受界面化学反应控制,表观活化能为50.42 kJ/mol。
