A low-grade manganese carbonate concentrate was processed by adopting direct sulfuric acid leaching. The effects of leaching parameters on the leaching rates of manganese, calcium and magnesium were investigated, and changes in phase composition and microstructure before and after leaching process were also discussed. The results show that under the optimized conditions, including acid and ore in a mass ratio of 0.6, liquid-solid ratio of 4∶1, leaching temperature of 60 ℃, and leaching time of 3 h, the leaching rates of manganese and magnesium reach 99.36% and 83.97% respectively, while calcium is hardly leached out and mainly left in the residue as calcium sulfate.

采用硫酸直接浸出法对低品位碳酸锰精矿进行处理,研究了浸出工艺参数对锰、钙、镁元素浸出率的影响,分析了浸出前后的物相组成、微观形貌等变化。结果表明:在酸矿质量比0.6、浸出液固比4∶1、浸出温度60 ℃、浸出时间3 h的优化条件下,锰浸出率达99.36%、镁浸出率为83.97%,钙基本不浸出,主要以硫酸钙形式进入渣中。

A low-grade manganese carbonate concentrate was processed by adopting direct sulfuric acid leaching. The effects of leaching parameters on the leaching rates of manganese, calcium and magnesium were investigated, and changes in phase composition and microstructure before and after leaching process were also discussed. The results show that under the optimized conditions, including acid and ore in a mass ratio of 0.6, liquid-solid ratio of 4∶1, leaching temperature of 60 ℃, and leaching time of 3 h, the leaching rates of manganese and magnesium reach 99.36% and 83.97% respectively, while calcium is hardly leached out and mainly left in the residue as calcium sulfate.

金属锰广泛应用于钢铁工业、电子器件、新能源、生物医药、新材料等领域[1-2]。我国锰矿资源较为丰富,相关数据表明,截至2022年我国锰矿资源储量已超过2亿吨,广泛分布在贵州、广西、河北和云南等地,其中贵州与广西查明锰矿资源储量占全国总储量的60%以上[3]。我国锰矿资源的特点是贫矿多、富矿少,贫矿占总储量的93.6%,平均锰品位约20%[4-5]。我国锰矿资源多为低品位碳酸锰矿,矿物嵌布粒度细、硬度低、易粉化,且杂质种类多、含量高,开发利用难度大、成本高[6]。因此,研究和采用适宜的工艺技术,对低品位锰矿进行经济高效处理,是当前锰矿资源开发和利用的关键。
浸出是提高锰矿资源利用率、降低生产成本的关键技术。目前碳酸锰精矿的浸出方法主要包括预焙烧浸出法[7]、还原浸出法[8-9]、直接酸浸法[10-11]、细菌浸出法[12]、加压浸出法[13]、其他特殊浸出剂浸出法[14]等。直接酸浸工艺因其流程简洁、投入较少和技术成熟度高等优势,被广泛应用于锰矿的工业生产中。根据不同碳酸锰精矿的特性,适当调整工艺参数,直接酸浸法能够有效实现锰的浸出,但也会导致其他碳酸盐矿物溶解进入溶液中,增加了后续提纯和除杂工序的复杂性和成本。因此,查明低品位碳酸锰精矿直接酸浸过程中杂质的浸出行为有助于调控浸出条件,为开发选择性浸锰工艺提供依据。
本文开展了低品位碳酸锰精矿直接硫酸浸出工艺研究,考察了锰及主要杂质钙、镁的浸出行为,探索了选择性浸出锰的优化实验条件,对利用我国丰富的低品位碳酸锰矿具有实际意义。
实验原料为贵州某企业提供的低品位碳酸锰精矿,用制样机破碎粉磨过100目(150 μm)筛,于100 ℃下烘干4 h后备用,其主要化学元素分析结果列于表1,XRD分析和SEM-EDS分析结果分别见图1图2,EDS能谱分析结果列于表2
表1显示,碳酸锰精矿锰品位仅16.10%,属于低品位碳酸锰精矿,主要杂质元素为Si、Ca、Fe、Al、Mg等。
图1可以看出,锰主要以锰白云石、菱锰矿、铁锰云石物相形式存在,钙、铁与锰结合紧密。脉石矿相主要为石英、云母和长石。此外,还存在少量的黄铁矿、绿泥石和石膏。
图2表2可知,点1和点6所在的区域主要为菱锰矿,点3所在的区域为锰白云石和铁锰云石,点4和点5所在的区域分别为石英和云母,点2所在的区域为黄铁矿,点4、5、6所在的整体区域为各种矿相的嵌布共生体。含锰矿相中的Mn和Ca、Mg分布规律趋同,结合XRD分析结果可知,Mn和Ca、Mg嵌杂共生现象明显,大部分菱锰矿中伴有钙镁白云石类矿物,这是因为菱锰矿和白云石均属三方晶系方解石型结构,易形成不完全的类质同象结构[15]
称取50 g细磨筛分后的碳酸锰精矿粉,置于烧杯中并按一定液固比加水浆化,缓慢加入一定量硫酸,恒温水浴加热至指定温度后开始计时,搅拌一定时间后结束反应。真空抽滤,浸出渣水洗后置于烘箱中100 ℃烘干,浸出液和浸出渣分别检测分析并计算锰及钙、镁的浸出率,根据浸出率得到适宜的浸出实验条件。
浸出率计算公式为:
式中:ηMn为Mn浸出率;ηCa为Ca浸出率;ηMg为Mg浸出率;ω0为原矿中Mn含量,%;m0为原矿质量,g;ωMn为浸出渣中Mn含量,%;ωCa为原矿中Ca含量,%;ωMg为原矿中Mg含量,%;m1为浸出渣质量,g;V为浸出液体积,L;CCa为浸出液中Ca含量,g/L;CMg为浸出液中Mg含量,g/L。
酸矿质量比0.5、浸出液固比4∶1、浸出2 h,浸出温度对锰、钙、镁浸出率的影响见图3
图3可知,浸出温度由30 ℃升至80 ℃时,锰浸出率增幅不大,均在99%以上,表明浸出温度对锰浸出率影响较小,这是因为碳酸锰相与硫酸反应速度快,室温下即可完成反应;镁浸出率随温度升高先降后升,60 ℃时最低,为78.7%,这可能是硫酸镁的溶解度随温度变化所致;钙浸出率均低于10%,60 ℃时最低,为2.4%,这是因为钙进入溶液中与硫酸根反应生成硫酸钙沉淀。考虑到后续除杂工序,浸出温度优选60 ℃。
浸出温度60 ℃,其他条件不变,浸出液固比对锰、钙、镁浸出率的影响见图4
图4可知,浸出液固比由2∶1增至5∶1时,锰浸出率增幅不大,均在99%以上;镁浸出率略有波动,基本维持在78%左右;钙基本不被浸出。实验过程中发现,浸出液固比低于4∶1时,矿浆黏度大,溶液过滤性能差,不利于后续处理。因此,浸出液固比控制在4∶1为宜。

图5可以看出,锰浸出率随浸出时间延长增幅较小,锰浸出率均大于99.5%,这是因为锰多以碳酸锰物相存在,极易与硫酸反应,由EDS分析结果可知,被脉石矿相包裹的只有少量的碳酸锰精矿相,其余大部分碳酸锰相均暴露于硫酸溶液中,反应速度快;镁、钙浸出率均随着浸出时间延长先降后增再降,这可能是因为锰反应速率快,酸消耗快,随着浸出时间延长,溶液中游离酸降低,造成镁、钙浸出率降低;浸出时间超过2 h时,锰已反应完全不再耗酸,余酸与碳酸镁/钙反应,镁、钙浸出率增加;浸出时间超过5 h后,余酸基本反应完,镁、钙浸出率下降。因此,浸出时间选2 h为宜。

图6显示,酸矿质量比由0.3增至0.5时,锰浸出率由65.0%提高至99.1%,镁浸出率由49.1%增至78.7%。这是因为随着溶液中氢离子总量增大,碳酸锰精矿相被腐蚀程度增加,有利于反应正向进行。酸矿质量比增至0.6时,钙浸出率下降,此时溶液中的锰钙比最大,有利于后续除杂。继续增加酸矿质量比,锰浸出率增幅较小;钙浸出率均低于4%,钙与硫酸生成硫酸钙沉淀基本不被浸出。因此,酸矿质量比控制在0.6较为合适。
采用优化实验条件进行了扩大实验。实验在较大体积的反应容器中进行,为保证浸出效率,实现锰的充分浸出,浸出时间延长至3 h。实验条件为:500 g碳酸锰精矿,酸矿质量比0.6,浸出温度60 ℃,浸出时间3 h,浸出液固比4∶1,实验结果见图7
图7可知,在优化工艺条件下,低品位碳酸锰精矿经硫酸直接浸出后,锰平均浸出率达99.36%,镁平均浸出率为83.97%,钙基本不被浸出,在渣中富集。
优化工艺条件下得到的浸出渣EDS、XRD分析结果分别见图8图9图8中对应点的成分分析结果见表3
图8显示,点1所在区域为未反应的碳酸锰相,点2、点4和点5所在区域主要为石英,点3所在区域为黄铁矿,点6所在区域为云母和长石。未反应的碳酸锰相与石英嵌布共存,一定程度上阻碍了反应的进行。
图9可知,浸出渣中已不见锰白云石、菱锰矿、铁锰云石等含锰物相,表明碳酸锰物相与硫酸反应溶解。浸出渣中烧石膏占比增至30.83%,表明反应生成了大量硫酸钙相,钙反应入渣富集。脉石矿相石英和云母占比略有增加,脉石大部分未参与反应,有利于后续分离除杂。
1)采用硫酸直接浸出法处理低品位碳酸锰精矿可实现锰的高效浸出,锰和大部分镁进入溶液,钙基本不被浸出,实现了锰与杂质钙的分离。
2)低品位碳酸锰精矿硫酸直接浸出优化工艺条件为:酸矿质量比0.6、浸出液固比4∶1、浸出温度60 ℃、浸出时间3 h,在优化浸出工艺条件下,锰、镁浸出率分别为99.36%和83.97%,钙主要以硫酸钙形式进入渣中。
