Red mud was pre-treated with process of reduction roasting followed by magnetic separation, and the obtained non-magnetic material was calcined and then dissolved in hydrochloric acid. After that, it was filtered after addition of saturated sodium meta-aluminate polymerizing agent, and then matured to prepare polymeric aluminum chloride (PAC) base liquid, which was used in a purification test. With PAC-base liquid and manganese-containing wastewater in a volume ratio of 1∶120, stirring speed of 140 r/min, pH of 8, reaction temperature of 30 ℃, and addition of polyacrylamide (PAM) at an amount of 20 mg/L, the manganese mass concentration in the wastewater reduced from 325.3 mg/L to 1.5 mg/L after 5 hours of settlement, showing manganese removal rate up to 99.5%. It is shown that the manganese mass concentration in the purified liquid can meet class Ⅰ limit in the national discharge standard.

采用还原焙烧-磁选预处理赤泥,得到非磁性物;非磁性物经煅烧、盐酸溶出后加入饱和偏铝酸钠聚合剂聚合后过滤、熟化制备聚合氯化铝(PAC)基液;使用该PAC基液,在沉降时间5 h、PAC基液与废水体积比1∶120、搅拌转速140 r/min、pH值8、反应温度30 ℃、聚丙烯酰胺(PAM)投加量20 mg/L条件下处理含锰酸性废水,处理后液中锰质量浓度由325.3 mg/L降至1.5 mg/L,锰去除率达99.5%,净化后液中锰质量浓度达到国家一级排放标准。

Red mud was pre-treated with process of reduction roasting followed by magnetic separation, and the obtained non-magnetic material was calcined and then dissolved in hydrochloric acid. After that, it was filtered after addition of saturated sodium meta-aluminate polymerizing agent, and then matured to prepare polymeric aluminum chloride (PAC) base liquid, which was used in a purification test. With PAC-base liquid and manganese-containing wastewater in a volume ratio of 1∶120, stirring speed of 140 r/min, pH of 8, reaction temperature of 30 ℃, and addition of polyacrylamide (PAM) at an amount of 20 mg/L, the manganese mass concentration in the wastewater reduced from 325.3 mg/L to 1.5 mg/L after 5 hours of settlement, showing manganese removal rate up to 99.5%. It is shown that the manganese mass concentration in the purified liquid can meet class Ⅰ limit in the national discharge standard.

近年来,随着工业不断发展,工业废水排放量激增。含锰废水主要来源于电解锰废水、钢铁及冶金产生的含锰废水[1-2]、印染含锰废水、矿区及地下含锰废水等。含锰废水进入人体后,会对神经系统造成损害,还会对消化系统产生刺激作用;锰超标的水体还会对水生生物造成中毒效应,破坏水生生态系统的平衡;水生生物死亡后,会进一步加剧水体污染,形成恶性循环。
含锰废水常见的处理方法为中和法[3-5]、硫化沉淀法[6-8]和混凝-絮凝沉淀法[9-10]。中和法利用锰离子在碱性条件下形成溶度积较小的氢氧化物,聚集形成大颗粒物沉淀后去除,但中和法处理需要较高的pH值环境,耗碱量大,且废水中常存在其他共存离子,由于锰矿物的氧化、镁离子的共沉淀以及无定形Al(OH)3等的溶解,在pH值8.0以上时,难以维持pH值稳定,增加了化学中和处理锰的难度。硫化沉淀法采用硫化物将锰离子以难溶物硫化锰形式进行沉淀去除,但硫化物沉淀沉降效果差,成本较高,且出水硫化物残留会造成污染。混凝-絮凝沉淀法利用石灰中和、聚合氯化铝(PAC)和聚丙烯酰胺(PAM)混凝-絮凝沉淀处理含锰废水,出水水质可达到国家一级排放标准,但混凝沉淀需要较大量PAC,处理成本高。我国氧化铝生产企业较多,赤泥产量巨大[11-12]。赤泥堆积占用土地资源,造成土壤、地下水和大气污染,为了减少赤泥的危害,需要加强对赤泥的处理和利用研究,而赤泥中铝含量高,可作为制备PAC的原料,实现对赤泥中铝资源的回收利用。因此,探究赤泥在含锰酸性废水处理中的应用具有一定价值。本文以赤泥为原料制备PAC基液,并使用该PAC基液处理含锰酸性废水,以废治废,在综合利用赤泥的同时实现含锰酸性废水治理。
实验所用含锰酸性废水水样采自某地电解锰废水。该废水pH值2.7,SS质量浓度约240 mg/L,Mn质量浓度325.3 mg/L,NH3-N为69,色度180倍。
实验所用赤泥采自某氧化铝厂。该赤泥及其还原焙烧-磁选处理后非磁性物主要化学成分分析结果及XRD分析结果见表1图1。由表1可见,赤泥和非磁性物中主要化学成分为Fe2O3、Al2O3、SiO2。由图1可见,赤泥中含铝矿物主要为赤铁矿、水钙铝榴石、一水硬铝石等,还原焙烧-磁选后非磁性物中含铝矿物主要为钙铝榴石、钙铝黄长石等。
实验用偏铝酸钠、聚合氯化铝(PAC)和聚丙烯酰胺(PAM)均为工业纯试剂。
干燥赤泥经还原焙烧-磁选得到非磁性物,该非磁性物在780 ℃下煅烧4 h,并在盐酸浓度4 mol/L、液固比8∶1、溶出温度50 ℃条件下盐酸溶出5 h,溶出液加入饱和偏铝酸钠聚合剂聚合后过滤、熟化,得到PAC基液。
制备PAC基液主要反应式为:
PAC通过吸附架桥、网捕、桥联、卷扫等作用,将水中的锰离子等悬浮颗粒凝聚成大颗粒的絮凝体,与PAM配合使用,使已经形成的锰离子絮凝体更加稳定,更快沉降。
在搅拌状态下将PAC基液加至已由NaOH调节pH值的含锰酸性废水中,加入PAM加速沉淀,过滤后得到底泥及净化后液。测定净化后液中锰质量浓度,计算锰去除率。
在PAC基液与废水体积比1∶100、pH值为7、搅拌转速180 r/min、反应温度20 ℃、PAM投加量15 mg/L条件下,考察了沉降时间对锰去除率的影响,结果如图2所示。由图2可知,沉降时间由2 h延长到5 h,锰去除率不断上升;沉降时间由5 h延长到6 h,锰去除率无明显变化。适宜的沉降时间为5 h。
沉降时间5 h,其他条件不变,考察了PAC基液与废水体积比对锰去除率的影响,结果如图3所示。由图3可知,PAC基液与废水体积比从1∶160调整到1∶120,锰去除率大幅上升;PAC基液与废水体积比从1∶120调整到1∶100,锰去除率变化不明显。适宜的PAC基液与废水体积比为1∶120。
PAC基液与废水体积比为1∶120,其他条件不变,搅拌速度对锰去除率的影响如图4所示。由图4可知,搅拌转速由60 r/min提高至140 r/min,锰去除率大幅上升;搅拌转速由140 r/min提高至180 r/min,锰去除率无明显变化。适宜的搅拌转速为140 r/min。
搅拌转速140 r/min,其他条件不变,pH值对锰去除率的影响如图5所示。由图5可知,pH值由5升至8,锰去除率大幅上升;pH值由8升至9,锰去除率无明显变化。适宜的pH值为8。
pH值为8,其他条件不变,反应温度对锰去除率的影响如图6所示。由图6可知,反应温度由10 ℃升至30 ℃,锰去除率显著提高;反应温度由30 ℃升至40 ℃,锰去除率基本不变。适宜的反应温度为30 ℃。
反应温度30 ℃,其他条件不变,PAM投加量对锰去除率的影响如图7所示。由图7可知,PAM投加量由10 mg/L增加至20 mg/L,锰去除率大幅增加;PAM投加量由20 mg/L增加至25 mg/L,锰去除率无明显变化。适宜的PAM投加量为20 mg/L。
根据单因素实验结果,得到PAC基液处理含锰酸性废水的适宜条件为:沉降时间5 h,PAC基液与废水体积比为1∶120,搅拌转速140 r/min,pH值为8,反应温度30 ℃,PAM投加量20 mg/L。在该条件下进行了综合实验,所得净化后液中锰质量浓度为1.5 mg/L,达到GB 8978—2002《污水综合排放标准》中的一级排放标准,锰去除率达到99.5%。
1)以赤泥为原料制备PAC基液,并以该PAC基液处理含锰酸性废水,适宜的处理条件为:沉降时间5 h,PAC基液与废水体积比1∶120,搅拌转速140 r/min,pH值8,反应温度30 ℃,PAM投加量20 mg/L。在该条件下,通过中和-混凝-絮凝-沉降分离工艺处理含锰酸性废水,净化后液中锰质量浓度降至1.5 mg/L,锰去除率达99.5%。
2)以赤泥制备PAC基液,实现了对赤泥中铝的回收利用,减少了赤泥堆积对环境的危害;使用该PAC基液处理含锰酸性废水,以废治废,除锰效果好,在综合利用赤泥的同时实现了含锰酸性废水治理。
