Flash flotation technique was introduced to an experiment to recover crystalline graphite. The influence of impeller speed, superficial aeration rate and foam layer thickness on the flash flotation indices of graphite was investigated. The results show that flotation with impeller speed of 750 r/min, superficial aeration rate of 0.3 m3/(m2·min) and foam layer thickness of 20 mm can bring a better flotation performance of graphite. According to the particle size analysis and microscopic observation analysis of concentrate, the flash flotation displays good recovery of the graphite in a particle size range of 0.074-0.180 mm, which is dominated by flake graphite monomer and rich intergrowth. As the flash flotation technique favors the collection of useful minerals from the classification underflow in advance, the probability of overgrinding can be reduced and the flake morphology can be therewith reserved. Therefore, flash flotation technique is expected to be commercially applied in the flotation recovery of crystalline graphite.

将闪速浮选工艺应用于晶质石墨浮选中,研究了闪速浮选机叶轮转速、表观充气速率和泡沫层厚度对石墨矿分选指标的影响。结果表明,在叶轮转速750 r/min、表观充气速率0.3 m3/(m2·min)、泡沫层厚度20 mm条件下,石墨矿分选指标较好。精矿粒级分析和显微观测结果表明,闪速浮选对0.074~0.180 mm粒级石墨回收效果较好,该粒级主要是晶质石墨单体以及富连生体。闪速浮选工艺能提前回收分级沉砂中的有用矿物,降低了过磨概率,实现对鳞片的保护,该工艺有望在晶质石墨矿浮选中实现工业应用。

Flash flotation technique was introduced to an experiment to recover crystalline graphite. The influence of impeller speed, superficial aeration rate and foam layer thickness on the flash flotation indices of graphite was investigated. The results show that flotation with impeller speed of 750 r/min, superficial aeration rate of 0.3 m3/(m2·min) and foam layer thickness of 20 mm can bring a better flotation performance of graphite. According to the particle size analysis and microscopic observation analysis of concentrate, the flash flotation displays good recovery of the graphite in a particle size range of 0.074-0.180 mm, which is dominated by flake graphite monomer and rich intergrowth. As the flash flotation technique favors the collection of useful minerals from the classification underflow in advance, the probability of overgrinding can be reduced and the flake morphology can be therewith reserved. Therefore, flash flotation technique is expected to be commercially applied in the flotation recovery of crystalline graphite.

石墨具有耐高温、导电、润滑等优良特性,广泛应用于冶金、机械、化工、耐火材料、航空航天等领域[1]。近年来随着新能源产业的快速发展,石墨作为新能源锂离子电池负极材料的主要原料之一,需求量急剧增长[2]。其中鳞片石墨物理化学性能优异,其经济价值是非鳞片石墨的数十倍[3]。且大鳞片石墨只能在原矿中提取,提取过程中鳞片一旦被破坏就无法恢复[4]。因此,在鳞片石墨回收中,要尽量保证鳞片不被破坏[5]
浮选是实现鳞片石墨富集最重要的手段之一[6-7]。鳞片石墨天然可浮性较好[8],但在鳞片石墨浮选流程中,磨矿次数多,导致石墨鳞片破坏严重[9]。闪速浮选工艺是体现“能收早收、减少过磨”的一种先进工艺,广泛应用于金属矿选别中,且取得了较好的工艺指标[10],通过闪速浮选优先选出部分已单体解离的目的矿物,避免目的矿物过磨造成金属损失[11]
结合晶质石墨矿浮选工艺特点,矿冶科技集团开发了YX系列闪速浮选机,用于浮选分级沉砂中已经解离的鳞片石墨。本文首次将闪速浮选工艺引入晶质石墨浮选中,通过建立磨矿、分级、闪速浮选连续试验系统,开展单机试验,研究闪速浮选机叶轮转速、表观充气速率以及泡沫层厚度等参数对分选效果的影响,并对给矿、精矿和尾矿产品进行分析。研究结果可为闪速浮选工艺在晶质石墨矿中的应用提供依据。
试验矿样取自黑龙江某晶质石墨矿现场。矿石中大部分碳以鳞片石墨形式存在,少量碳以碳酸盐矿物及其他形式的碳存在。矿样中石墨是主要目的矿物,脉石矿物主要为石英、白云母、长石以及少量绿泥石和磷灰石等。原矿主要化学成分分析结果见表1。对原矿中石墨粒度组成及分布特征进行统计分析,结果见表2。可知矿石中+0.147 mm粒级鳞片石墨占总石墨的21%,属于中-细尺寸嵌布的鳞片石墨矿石。
浮选试验中,采用柴油(工业级,中国石化润滑油有限公司)为捕收剂、BK201(工业级,矿冶科技集团自主研发)为起泡剂。
试验系统采用YX-5L闪速浮选机作为主体的分选设备。YX系列闪速浮选机是矿冶科技集团自主研发的用于磨矿分级回路的高效闪速浮选机,设备有效容积为5 L,其分选原理如图1所示。槽体底部设计为缩口形式,能够起到浓缩矿浆的作用,增大了槽体内部轴向浓度梯度。同时矿浆切向给入槽体锥形底上部,在叶轮的搅拌作用下,强化了矿浆的离析分层效果,在槽体内部形成了高浓度区、中浓度区和低浓度区。空气通过中空主轴给入浮选机,从叶轮中心喷出,在叶轮搅拌作用下被剪切成细小气泡,从下到上浮选机内部分为锥底浓缩区、搅拌混合区、运输区、分离区以及泡沫区。
YX-5L闪速浮选机与球磨机、螺旋分级机组成闭路系统,通过给料机连续向球磨机给矿,经磨矿分级后,分级沉砂补水后给入闪速浮选机,闪速浮选机的底流返回球磨机给料。试验原则流程见图2。闪速浮选给矿浓度50%,给矿流量2.5 L/min,核算浮选时间2 min。通过改变叶轮转速、表观充气速率以及泡沫层厚度等探究闪速浮选的适宜工艺条件。
叶轮转速影响浮选机内部流场的紊流强度,进而影响气泡与石墨矿物颗粒的碰撞和黏附效率[12]。在表观充气速率0.3 m3/(m2·min)、泡沫层厚度20 mm条件下,考察了浮选机叶轮转速对指标的影响,结果见图3。从图3可以看出,随着叶轮转速增加,精矿品位和+0.15 mm粒级占比呈现先增后降的趋势,回收率呈现先降后增的趋势。适宜的叶轮转速为750 r/min。
表观充气速率是指单位时间内通过浮选机单位横截面积的气量。闪速浮选的工艺特点是优先快速浮出已经单体解离的高品位精矿,其所需充气量通常较小。在浮选机叶轮转速750 r/min、泡沫层厚度20 mm条件下,考察了表观充气速率对浮选指标的影响,结果见图4。由图4可以看出,随着表观充气速率增加,回收率逐渐增加,品位逐渐下降。+0.15 mm粒级占比随着表观充气速率增加呈现先增后降的趋势,在表观充气速率0.3 m3/(m2·min)时达到最大,此时+0.15 mm粒级占比约37%。适宜的表观充气速率为0.3 m3/(m2·min)。
浮选泡沫层厚度是影响精矿品位和回收率的重要因素。泡沫层厚时精矿的二次富集效果好,精矿品位更高,但泡沫层厚度增加会造成精矿回收率降低。石墨矿浮选时,石墨泡沫黏性大,流动性差,泡沫层厚度增加时,会使泡沫层塌陷,泡沫重新返回矿浆中,造成精矿流失。在叶轮转速750 r/min、表观充气速率0.3 m3/(m2·min)条件下,考察了石墨矿闪速浮选泡沫层厚度对浮选指标的影响,结果见图5。从图5可以看出,泡沫层厚度超过20 mm后,回收率大幅下降,精矿品位和精矿中+0.15 mm粒级占比变化不大。晶质石墨闪速浮选泡沫层厚度不宜超过20 mm。
为了进一步探究闪速浮选对各粒级的回收效果,对闪速浮选的给矿、精矿和尾矿分别进行了粒度筛分分析,结果见表3。由表3可以看出,闪速浮选精矿主要集中在-0.300 mm粒级。闪速浮选机对+0.300 mm粗粒贫连生体和粗粒脉石基本没有回收,这与闪速浮选的设计理念一致。闪速浮选精矿中,0.150~0.180 mm粒级和0.074~0.150 mm粒级占比高于给矿中该粒级占比,说明闪速浮选主要回收这两个粒级内已经解离的鳞片石墨以及富连生体。闪速浮选工艺能提前回收这部分单体鳞片石墨和富连生体,防止这部分矿物再次返回球磨机造成过磨。
为了进一步查明闪速浮选工艺保护大鳞片的技术原理,采用光学显微镜对闪速浮选精矿进行了形貌特征分析,结果见图6。由图6可知,闪速浮选精矿中石墨主要以片状、鳞片状存在,部分以单体形式存在,部分与脉石连生。石墨单体部分片径相对较大,长径多分布在0.15~0.25 mm,最长可达0.45 mm。
综上所述,闪速浮选能提前回收磨矿分级沉砂中的单体鳞片石墨和富连生体,降低了其过磨的概率,形成了对大鳞片的保护。
1)YX-5L闪速浮选机是一种新型的浮选装备,能够应用在磨矿分级回路中,在高浓度、粗粒级的给矿条件下实现对有用矿物的快速回收。用于晶质石墨矿的闪速浮选机适宜的工艺参数为:叶轮转速750 r/min,表观充气速率0.3 m3/(m2·min),泡沫层厚度20 mm。
2)闪速浮选精矿产品粒级分析和镜下鉴定结果表明,YX型闪速浮选机对0.074~0.180 mm粒级矿物回收效果较好。该粒级矿物主要为鳞片石墨单体以及富连生体,闪速浮选提前回收了分级沉砂中的有用矿物,降低了过磨概率。
3)YX型闪速浮选机克服了磨矿回路沉砂矿粒度粗、浓度高、空气难分散以及泡沫流动性差的问题,能满足晶质石墨分级沉砂闪速浮选的工艺要求。闪速浮选为大鳞片的保护提供了一条新途径。
