For phosphorus-iron waste left after lithium extraction from cathode powder of spent lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries, a selective leaching with sulfuric acid was adopted to remove impurities therein. The results indicate that after a 4-stage leaching at 80 ℃ for 2 h, with a sulfuric acid at a concentration of 0.32 mol/L and a liquid-to-solid ratio of 5 mL/g, the total leaching rates of elemental impurities, including Cu, Mn, Al, Ca, Na and Mg reach 70.81%, 68.33%, 65.57%, 68.03%, 67.85% and 64.28%, respectively, and the total leaching rates of P and Fe are only 2.52% and 2.24%, respectively. It is concluded that the main elemental impurities can be effectively leached out from such phosphorus-iron waste, with elements of P and Fe left for subsequent resource utilization.

以废旧磷酸铁锂电池正极粉提锂后的磷铁尾渣为原料,以硫酸为浸出剂,选择性浸出去除杂质。结果表明,在硫酸浓度0.32 mol/L、液固比5 mL/g、浸出温度80 ℃、浸出时间2 h条件下,通过4级循环浸出,杂质元素铜、锰、铝、钙、钠、镁总浸出率分别达到70.81%、68.33%、65.57%、68.03%、67.85%、64.28%,磷、铁总浸出率分别为2.52%、2.24%,磷铁尾渣中的主要杂质元素被有效浸出,磷、铁元素则保留下来以进行后续资源利用。

For phosphorus-iron waste left after lithium extraction from cathode powder of spent lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries, a selective leaching with sulfuric acid was adopted to remove impurities therein. The results indicate that after a 4-stage leaching at 80 ℃ for 2 h, with a sulfuric acid at a concentration of 0.32 mol/L and a liquid-to-solid ratio of 5 mL/g, the total leaching rates of elemental impurities, including Cu, Mn, Al, Ca, Na and Mg reach 70.81%, 68.33%, 65.57%, 68.03%, 67.85% and 64.28%, respectively, and the total leaching rates of P and Fe are only 2.52% and 2.24%, respectively. It is concluded that the main elemental impurities can be effectively leached out from such phosphorus-iron waste, with elements of P and Fe left for subsequent resource utilization.

随着全球能源转型升级,为实现“双碳”目标和经济可持续发展,新能源汽车产业快速增长,随之产生了大量退役动力电池[1-3]。磷酸铁锂电池热安全性较好,市场占比较高,广泛应用于多种车型,但长期使用后性能会下降,继续使用可能会产生安全隐患,必须报废处理。磷酸铁锂废旧电池将成为未来报废电池的主要来源[4-7]。现有研究多聚焦于从废旧磷酸铁锂电池中回收锂元素[8-9],由此产生的磷铁尾渣因杂质元素种类多,没有得到有效利用[10-11]。开发高效简便、成本低的除杂工艺,对磷铁尾渣的回收具有重大意义。现有磷铁尾渣处理工艺多为高浓度无机酸浸出[12-13],在高效浸出磷、铁的同时也会溶出其余杂质元素,造成酸耗大、除杂成本高等问题[14-15]。本文提出多级循环选择性浸出除杂工艺,可为磷铁尾渣的高效回收处理提供参考。
实验原料为某电池回收企业提锂后的磷铁尾渣,经球磨、干燥处理后,进行了干基磷铁尾渣化学成分分析,结果见表1
实验试剂为分析纯硫酸(98%)。实验用水为去离子水。实验仪器包括集热式恒温加热水浴锅、真空抽滤机、pH计等。
磷铁尾渣中的磷和铁主要赋存于磷酸铁(FePO4)中,基于金属杂质与FePO4在无机酸/有机酸中存在浸出动力学差异,采用多级循环选择性浸出除杂工艺处理磷铁尾渣,使杂质元素进入液相、磷酸铁基本保留在固相,从而达到金属杂质与磷铁组分高效分离的目的。通过低浓度的酸浸可将大部分金属杂质转移至酸浸液中,同时较低浓度的酸性体系一定程度上可以抑制FePO4的溶出。
浸出实验在集热式恒温加热水浴锅中进行,每次称取50 g磷铁尾渣,根据不同设定条件,向烧杯中加入适量硫酸和去离子水,待溶液达到设定温度,调整搅拌速度,然后向烧杯中快速加入磷铁尾渣,达到设定的浸出时间后,用真空抽滤机进行固液分离,采用电感耦合等离子体发射光谱仪(ICP-OES)分析浸出液中各元素浓度,并计算浸出率。
浸出温度80 ℃、液固比5 mL/g、浸出时间2 h条件下,硫酸浓度对各元素浸出率的影响如图1所示。随着酸度提高(pH值降低),杂质元素及磷、铁浸出率呈上升趋势。pH值0.5时,磷、铁浸出率分别为0.53%、0.45%,而杂质元素浸出率较高;pH值0时,磷、铁浸出率分别为2.16%、2.32%。酸度增强,H+浓度升高,会促进FePO4分解,增加磷、铁损失。适宜的pH值为0.5,此时硫酸浓度为0.32 mol/L。
硫酸浓度0.32 mol/L,其他条件不变,液固比对各元素浸出率的影响如图2所示。提高液固比,有利于杂质溶出。液固比5 mL/g时,杂质元素铜、钠、铝、钙、镁浸出率趋于稳定,元素锰、磷、铁浸出率依然增加;液固比6 mL/g时,磷、铁浸出率分别为0.93%、0.83%。继续增大液固比,不仅硫酸消耗量增加,也会使磷、铁损失加大。综合考虑,选择液固比5 mL/g。
液固比5 mL/g,其他条件不变,浸出温度对各元素浸出率的影响如图3所示。反应温度90 ℃时,由于温度较高,分子反应活性大,反应速率加快,铜、锰、铝、钙、钠、镁浸出率分别为57.35%、58.93%、37.25%、26.75%、43.87%、25.34%,磷、铁浸出率分别为0.67%、0.56%。但过高的反应温度会增加反应能耗,同时不利于后续磷、铁的回收。综合考虑,确定浸出温度为80 ℃。
浸出温度80 ℃,其他条件不变,浸出时间对各元素浸出率的影响如图4所示。随着浸出时间延长,杂质浸出率先逐渐增加后趋于稳定,磷、铁浸出率缓慢增加。反应时间2 h时,铜、锰、铝、钙、钠、镁浸出率分别为55.18%、56.14%、34.52%、23.7%、40.76%、22.41%,磷、铁浸出率分别为0.53%、0.45%。延长反应时间虽然能提高传质效率,但会增加能耗与时间成本,适宜的浸出时间为2 h。
通过单因素实验,确定优化条件为:硫酸浓度0.32 mol/L、液固比5 mL/g、浸出温度80 ℃、浸出时间2 h,此条件下杂质元素铜、锰、铝、钙、钠、镁浸出率分别为55.18%、56.14%、34.52%、23.7%、40.76%、22.41%,磷、铁浸出率分别为0.53%、0.45%。
进一步开展多级循环浸出实验,结果见表2。随着循环级数增加,杂质总浸出率逐步提高,但每级溶出量递减;第4级循环浸出时,杂质元素铜、锰、铝、钙、钠、镁浸出率分别为2.17%、0.99%、5.44%、7.62%、3.67%、13.19%,磷、铁浸出率分别为0.62%、0.58%;经4级循环浸出后,杂质元素铜、锰、铝、钙、钠、镁总浸出率分别为70.81%、68.33%、65.57%、68.03%、67.85%、64.28%,磷、铁总浸出率分别为2.52%、2.24%。
1)采用硫酸浸出提锂磷铁尾渣,选择性去除杂质,优化后的浸出工艺条件为:硫酸浓度0.32 mol/L、液固比5 mL/g、浸出温度80 ℃、浸出时间2 h。在此条件下磷铁尾渣中杂质元素铜、锰、铝、钙、钠、镁浸出率分别为55.18%、56.14%、34.52%、23.7%、40.76%、22.41%,磷、铁浸出率分别为0.53%、0.45%。
2)对磷铁尾渣进行4级循环浸出,随着循环浸出级数增加,杂质元素及磷、铁总浸出率提高,但各级元素浸出率逐渐降低;第4级循环浸出时,杂质元素铜、锰、铝、钙、钠、镁浸出率分别为2.17%、0.99%、5.44%、7.62%、3.67%、13.19%,磷、铁浸出率分别为0.62%、0.58%。
3)磷铁尾渣经过4级循环浸出,优化条件下的杂质元素铜、锰、铝、钙、钠、镁总浸出率分别为70.81%、68.33%、65.57%、68.03%、67.85%、64.28%,磷、铁总浸出率分别为2.52%、2.24%,说明多级浸出可有效浸出磷铁尾渣中的主要杂质元素,并减少磷、铁的损失,提高磷铁尾渣资源利用率。
