An iron concentrate obtained from magnetic separation of red mud from Shandong was used in an experimental study on the effect of titanium removal by reverse flotation. In the experiment, with sodium oleate as collector, corn starch as hematite depressant, sulfuric acid as pH regulator, pulp pH of 9, and the addition of corn starch and sodium oleate at an amount of 500 g/t and 1 500 g/t, respectively, the iron concentrate was produced, with the TiO2 grade fell down from 6.90% to 2.73%, and the TFe recovery reaching 41.80%. The results of collector adsorption and IR analysis show that sodium oleate exhibits selective adsorption characteristics, which has further confirmed the feasibility of sodium oleate used in removing titanium by reverse flotation of iron concentrate obtained from magnetic separation of red mud.

对山东某赤泥磁选铁精矿进行了反浮选脱钛研究,以油酸钠为捕收剂、玉米淀粉为赤铁矿抑制剂、硫酸为pH值调整剂,在pH=9、玉米淀粉和油酸钠用量分别为500 g/t和1 500 g/t时,铁精矿中TiO2品位可由6.90%降至2.73%,对应的TFe回收率为41.80%。捕收剂吸附量和红外光谱测试结果表明,油酸钠具有选择性吸附特性,进一步证实了采用油酸钠对赤泥磁选铁精矿进行反浮选脱钛的可行性。

An iron concentrate obtained from magnetic separation of red mud from Shandong was used in an experimental study on the effect of titanium removal by reverse flotation. In the experiment, with sodium oleate as collector, corn starch as hematite depressant, sulfuric acid as pH regulator, pulp pH of 9, and the addition of corn starch and sodium oleate at an amount of 500 g/t and 1 500 g/t, respectively, the iron concentrate was produced, with the TiO2 grade fell down from 6.90% to 2.73%, and the TFe recovery reaching 41.80%. The results of collector adsorption and IR analysis show that sodium oleate exhibits selective adsorption characteristics, which has further confirmed the feasibility of sodium oleate used in removing titanium by reverse flotation of iron concentrate obtained from magnetic separation of red mud.

赤泥是生产氧化铝过程中产生的强碱性工业废渣,因含有大量的Fe3+呈现红色而得名。据统计,每年氧化铝全球需求量为1.35亿吨,我国氧化铝需求量占全球近50%,导致目前我国赤泥年产量极高,位居世界第一[1]。根据氧化铝生产工艺不同,赤泥可被分为三种类型:联合法赤泥、烧结法赤泥和拜耳法赤泥。95%以上的氧化铝生产工艺为拜耳法。拜耳法赤泥中Fe2O3质量分数25%~50%、Al2O3质量分数15%~30%、TiO2质量分数4%~10%、CaO质量分数较低,具有粒度极细、碱性强和矿物组成复杂等特点[2]。目前,赤泥的处理方法多以堆存填埋为主,不仅会造成空气、水源严重污染,赤泥的强放射性也会对周边生物造成辐射危害。因此,赤泥的高效综合利用是亟须解决的难题[3]
现阶段关于赤泥的分选主要集中在铁矿物的富集[4],还没有一种赤泥中分离含钛矿物的工艺,而富集后铁精矿中钛质量分数一般为6%~9%,较高的钛含量对后续铁精矿冶炼过程的流动性有严重影响,会直接影响铁矿销售。
针对上述问题,本文在对TFe品位49.80%的拜耳法赤泥磁选铁精矿进行定性和定量表征基础上,通过纯矿物和实际矿物浮选试验探究以玉米淀粉为含铁矿物抑制剂、油酸钠为含钛矿物捕收剂的赤泥磁选铁精矿反浮选脱钛工艺可行性,利用红外光谱和吸附量测试探究了油酸钠在赤铁矿和钛铁矿表面的吸附机制。研究成果对低钛赤泥铁精矿用于钢铁冶炼实现固体废弃物高价值回收利用具有重要意义。
实际矿物浮选给料为拜耳法赤泥经山东华特磁电科技股份有限公司LHGC型立环高梯度磁选机在磁场强度1 T条件下获得的TFe品位49.80%、TiO2品位6.90%的磁选精矿(以下称原矿),其粒度为-0.074 mm粒级占43.43%。采用美国FEI公司MLA 650对原矿进行了物相分析,测得其矿物组成如表1所示。
表1结果表明,原矿中主要已知矿物为赤铁矿和钛铁矿,其质量分数分别为35.55%和2.53%。原生铝土矿经过复杂的拜耳法工艺,多数矿物表面均发生物相转变,MLA扫描出的光谱无法与标准矿物能谱进行匹配,只能依据矿物中各元素的种类和分布建立新的矿物图谱,但由于物相转变是一个多级过程,矿物性质存在不统一性,只能大致将其他未知矿物分类为物相1、物相2和物相3,不同物相分布如图1所示。
Fe和Ti是赤铁矿和钛铁矿中两种标志性元素,明确两者在各矿物中的分布情况对后续浮选分离具有指导意义。Fe元素和Ti元素在赤泥磁选精矿中的分布情况分别见表2表3
表2表3可知,Fe元素主要分布于赤铁矿和物相1中,Ti元素主要分布于物相1中,仅21.38%的Ti元素存在于钛铁矿中,因此物相1是一种新生的、同时含有铁和钛的复杂矿物,将会严重影响浮选铁精矿中Ti脱除率和Fe回收率。
对原矿进行扫描电镜线扫得到的扫描结果见图2。由图2可知,Ti元素与Fe元素赋存于同一矿物颗粒中。EDS能谱图显示,矿物表面呈现不均一性,颗粒中各元素相对含量存在渐变趋势。因此,暴露较多含钛表面的矿物颗粒依然可以通过浮选有效脱除,但铁回收率会有一定损失。
钛铁矿和物相1是待浮的主要含钛目标矿物,它们与其他矿物的连生情况将直接影响矿石的分选指标。原矿中钛铁矿、物相1与其他矿物的连生情况如表4表5所示。
表4表5可知,钛铁矿和物相1的单体解离度均在70%左右。钛铁矿与物相1的连生现象较为严重,连生体质量分数为15.18%;物相1与赤铁矿连生现象较为严重,连生体质量分数为19.87%。
综上所述,赤泥磁选铁精矿浮选脱钛的难点在于未知物相表面性质复杂、含钛矿物解离效果差,因此亟须探索一种对含钛矿物捕收能力强、选择性高的药剂方案。
取150 g均质化的赤泥磁选精矿样品于吉林省探矿机械厂生产的XFD-0.5 L单槽浮选机中,加水调浆至矿浆浓度(质量分数)30%,依次加入硫酸/氢氧化钠、玉米淀粉、油酸钠,试验流程见图3,作用时间均为3 min。浮选机转速2 000 r/min,充气方式为自然吸气,浮选时间3 min。浮选精矿和尾矿经过滤、烘干、称重、取样后,采用XRF化验TFe和TiO2品位,计算产率及回收率。
试验所用药剂包括国药集团生产的硫酸、氢氧化钠、油酸钠、玉米淀粉等,均为分析纯。
为进行赤泥磁选铁精矿的浮选脱钛机理研究,参考拜耳法工艺,采用质量分数30%的NaOH溶液在100 ℃下对钛铁矿、赤铁矿进行碱浸处理,处理时间为1 h。
采用紫外分光光度计在波数500~4 000 nm条件下进行吸附量测试以评价油酸钠在矿物表面的选择性吸附性能。计算药剂在矿物表面吸附量的方法与文献[5]一致。
采用德国Elementar公司的Vario EL cube傅里叶红外光谱仪表征油酸钠在赤铁矿和钛铁矿表面的吸附方式,测试环境为室温,测试范围为500~4 000 cm-1
油酸钠用量1 500 g/t、玉米淀粉用量1 000 g/t时,pH值对浮选脱钛效果的影响如图4所示。由图4可知,随着pH值从6增至9,浮选精矿TiO2品位从5.40%降至3.00%,TFe回收率从87.44%降至40.32%;pH值增至10时,TiO2品位和TFe回收率分别增至3.30%和49.71%。赤泥磁选铁精矿中含钛物相与含铁物相分离的适宜pH值为9。
pH=9、玉米淀粉用量1 000 g/t,捕收剂油酸钠用量对浮选效果的影响见图5。由图5可知,随着油酸钠用量从500 g/t增至4 500 g/t,浮选精矿TiO2品位从4.17%降至2.61%,TFe回收率从87.51%降至24.25%,表明随着油酸钠用量增加,赤泥磁选铁精矿中的含钛矿物及部分含钛含铁复杂物相均被脱除。综合考虑精矿TiO2品位及TFe回收率,选择油酸钠用量1 500 g/t进行后续试验。
pH=9、油酸钠用量1 500 g/t条件下,考察了抑制剂玉米淀粉用量对浮选脱钛效果的影响,结果见图6。由图6可知,随着玉米淀粉用量从500 g/t增至3 000 g/t,浮选精矿TiO2品位从2.73%增至4.99%,TFe回收率从41.80%增至97.47%,表明玉米淀粉的加入抑制了含钛矿物进入泡沫产品。
在赤泥磁选铁精矿浮选的各条件探索试验中,精矿中TFe品位均未发生明显变化,表明在浮选过程中,浮选脱除了钛铁矿及部分含钛含铁元素的复杂物相。确定赤泥反浮选脱钛提铁的适宜条件为:pH=9、玉米淀粉用量500 g/t、油酸钠用量1 500 g/t,此时铁精矿中TiO2品位2.73%、TFe品位50.76%、TFe回收率41.80%。
为深入了解捕收剂油酸钠在赤铁矿、钛铁矿表面的选择性吸附,分别对改性前后钛铁矿、赤铁矿进行了油酸钠吸附量测试,结果如图7所示。由图7可见,改性前,pH值从4上升至10,油酸钠在赤铁矿表面的吸附量从1.2 mg/g增至3.5 mg/g,在钛铁矿表面的吸附量从1.3 mg/g增至3.8 mg/g;pH值继续增至12时,油酸钠在赤铁矿和钛铁矿表面的吸附量分别下降至1.5 mg/g和2.0 mg/g。酸性环境下,赤铁矿与钛铁矿表面金属离子溶解,与油酸根离子形成沉淀,不易疏水;强碱性环境下,油酸钠吸附量也会降低,这是溶液中氢氧根离子与油酸根离子竞争吸附所致[6]。改性后赤铁矿表面油酸钠吸附量均小于1.0 mg/g,进一步证实了浮选中改性赤铁矿可浮性低的现象,该现象主要归因于改性使赤铁矿表面发生羟基化,阻碍了油酸钠的吸附[7];而改性作用对油酸钠在钛铁矿表面的吸附并无抑制作用,甚至拓宽了钛铁矿的浮选pH值范围(pH=6~10),该现象主要归因于氢氧化钠与钛铁矿表面反应后生成了更多的金属活性位点,促进油酸钠在其表面的吸附能力。因此,在pH=6~10范围内,采用油酸钠可以从改性赤铁矿中选择性分离含钛矿物。
为进一步证明药剂在矿物表面的吸附方式,分别对改性前后赤铁矿、钛铁矿进行了红外光谱测试,结果如图8所示。由图8可知,2 920 cm-1与2 851 cm-1为油酸钠的甲基振动吸收峰;3 386.8 cm-1为矿物与其表面结合水分子的羟基峰;1 561 cm-1和1 446 cm-1为—COO-基特征峰。1 040.33 cm-1处出现的峰对应赤铁矿表面的Fe—O键;在3 300 cm-1、1 650 cm-1处分别对应—OH基团拉伸振动峰和水分子弯曲振动峰,表明赤铁矿表面存在—OH基团和水分子。赤铁矿与油酸钠作用后,在2 920 cm-1与2 850 cm-1处出现了甲基振动峰,说明油酸钠与赤铁矿表面发生了吸附作用。以往研究[8]表明,油酸钠与赤铁矿表面发生化学吸附作用生成油酸铁,使得赤铁矿表面疏水。改性后赤铁矿在3 300 cm-1处的特征峰强度更高,说明改性作用使得赤铁矿表面暴露出更多的—OH基团;而油酸钠与改性赤铁矿作用后,矿物表面既没有出现明显特征峰也没有发生特征峰偏移,说明油酸钠与改性赤铁矿表面之间的吸附作用很弱。与油酸钠作用后的钛铁矿表面在2 920 cm-1处出现峰值,表明油酸钠吸附在钛铁矿表面从而改变了钛铁矿的疏水性。改性钛铁矿表面位于3 330 cm-1处出现—OH峰,说明在钛铁矿表面发生了羟基化反应[9];油酸钠与改性钛铁矿作用后,改性钛铁矿表面在2 920 cm-1和2 850 cm-1处出现甲基振动峰,在1 561 cm-1和1 664 cm-1处出现—COO-的特征峰,表明油酸钠与改性钛铁矿发生了较强的吸附作用[10]
1)拜耳法赤泥磁选铁精矿中主要已知矿物为赤铁矿和钛铁矿,其质量分数分别为35.55%和2.53%,其余矿物均为同时含有铁、钛元素且表面非均质化的未知物相。Ti元素主要分布于未知物相中,仅21.38%的Ti元素存在于钛铁矿中。
2)赤泥磁选铁精矿在pH=9、玉米淀粉用量500 g/t、油酸钠用量1 500 g/t条件下通过一段反浮选脱钛,获得了TiO2品位2.73%、TFe品位50.76%、TFe回收率41.80%的铁精矿指标。
3)捕收剂吸附量和红外光谱测试结果表明,在pH=6~10范围内,油酸钠对改性赤铁矿和钛铁矿存在选择性吸附,油酸钠在改性钛铁矿表面的吸附量明显大于改性赤铁矿,进一步证实了采用油酸钠为捕收剂对赤泥磁选铁精矿进行反浮选脱钛是可行的。
