Copper ore sorting by dual-energy X-ray technique basded on traditional algorithms by curve fitting of T-value always results in great deviation. In view of this problem, a curve fitting of T-value by segmented straight lines was proposed. This method divides thickness into several segments, and performs a T-value curve fitting in each segment for copper ore sorting, which can more accurately reflect the changing trend of T-value with different thicknesses and also reduce impact of thickness on sorting. High-energy and low-energy rays are adopted to fit the T-value curve, and then the residual between the T-value and the curve-fitting mapping value is calculated in each segment, showing different residuals for different substances, which can be used to achieve copper ore sorting. In a verification experiment, two types of copper ores with different grades were sorted by this method. The ore images fitted with T-value curves by segmented straight lines were put into ResNet18 neural network for training, and the trained model was then used for testing. The test results show that an accuracy rate can reach 88.67%.

针对传统T值曲线拟合算法的双能X射线透射技术分选铜矿偏差较大的问题,提出了一种分段T值曲线拟合方法,该方法将厚度进行区间划分,在每个区间内进行一次T值曲线拟合来对铜矿进行分选,能更准确体现不同厚度下T值的变化趋势,减小厚度给分选带来的影响。采用高能、低能射线拟合T值曲线,再在各个区间内计算T值与曲线拟合映射值的残差,不同物质残差也存在不同,以此达到分选铜矿的目的。验证实验结果表明,对两类不同品位的铜矿进行分选,将经过分段T值曲线拟合的矿石图像放入ResNet18神经网络中进行训练,并用训练好的模型进行测试,测试准确率达到88.67%。

针对传统T值曲线拟合算法的双能X射线透射技术分选铜矿偏差较大的问题,提出了一种分段T值曲线拟合方法,该方法将厚度进行区间划分,在每个区间内进行一次T值曲线拟合来对铜矿进行分选,能更准确体现不同厚度下T值的变化趋势,减小厚度给分选带来的影响。采用高能、低能射线拟合T值曲线,再在各个区间内计算T值与曲线拟合映射值的残差,不同物质残差也存在不同,以此达到分选铜矿的目的。验证实验结果表明,对两类不同品位的铜矿进行分选,将经过分段T值曲线拟合的矿石图像放入ResNet18神经网络中进行训练,并用训练好的模型进行测试,测试准确率达到88.67%。

Copper ore sorting by dual-energy X-ray technique basded on traditional algorithms by curve fitting of T-value always results in great deviation. In view of this problem, a curve fitting of T-value by segmented straight lines was proposed. This method divides thickness into several segments, and performs a T-value curve fitting in each segment for copper ore sorting, which can more accurately reflect the changing trend of T-value with different thicknesses and also reduce impact of thickness on sorting. High-energy and low-energy rays are adopted to fit the T-value curve, and then the residual between the T-value and the curve-fitting mapping value is calculated in each segment, showing different residuals for different substances, which can be used to achieve copper ore sorting. In a verification experiment, two types of copper ores with different grades were sorted by this method. The ore images fitted with T-value curves by segmented straight lines were put into ResNet18 neural network for training, and the trained model was then used for testing. The test results show that an accuracy rate can reach 88.67%.

铜矿资源为工业、能源和科技创新提供了坚实基础,尤其在通信领域不可或缺。目前常见的铜矿分选方法有重选法、浮选法、磁选法、湿法冶炼法、离析法等。但这些方法也存在很多问题,如对硫化铜进行浮选时操作复杂且使用大量化学试剂[1-2],同时也容易造成环境污染等。在众多分选方法中,双能X射线透射技术具有高效、精确、非破坏性和环保等特点,且双能X射线透射技术不受物质形状、表面状况的影响。
双能X射线透射技术主要通过不同物质之间的有效原子序数差异进行识别[3-5]。如今利用双能X射线透射技术对物质分类的方法越来越多,但大多都是以R值为基础提出的。如:文献[6-7]提出通过R-IL曲线拟合对废金属进行回收并以铜、铝作为实验对象进行验证,文献[8]在低能信号和双能R值基础上提出了区域分块算法来对废金属进行识别,文献[9]基于α曲线提出α特征识别,文献[10-11]在R值基础上利用R值映射进行选矿分类,文献[12]提出高能、低能曲线拟合来对稀土矿物进行识别。这些方法虽然验证了双能X射线在物质识别方面的有效性,但在厚度过大的情况下还是存在较大偏差[13]T值算法虽然比R值算法在物质识别上更精确,但在矿物分选过程中仍然不能满足需求。本文在T值曲线拟合基础上提出了一种分段曲线拟合的方法,更加准确地将不同厚度矿物的T值大小及变化趋势体现出来。
单能谱X射线在透射物质的过程中与物质发生光电效应、康普顿效应和电子对效应。X射线在透射分布均匀的物质的过程中,其衰减规律遵循朗伯-比尔定律[14]
式中:I为X射线透射物质后的信号能量值;I0为X射线的入射能量值;μm为物质的质量吸收系数,m2/kg;ρ为物质密度,kg/m3t为X射线穿过物质的有效厚度,m。
双能X射线穿透物质时,将所测得的高能、低能信号能量值代入式(1),得到传统R值:
式中:IL0IL分别为低能射线透射物质前、后的信号能量值;IH0IH分别为高能射线透射物质前、后的信号能量值;μmLμmH分别为低能吸收系数和高能吸收系数。
由式(2)可知,X射线为单能谱时,R值与密度、厚度无关。但在现实中,X射线多为多能谱,多能谱情况下,基于单能谱识别物质的算法就会受到厚度影响,从而对识别结果产生较大影响。
T值算法中,定义X射线透射物质后的信号强度[15]为:
将双能X射线的高能、低能信号值代入式(3)后相减得到T值表达式:
由式(4)可知,T值算法保留了密度和厚度信息;且当双能X射线透射同一物质时,T值与物质厚度t成正比[15]。由式(3)可知,当低能射线透射物质时,TL=μmLρt,而当X射线透射同一物质的同一位置时,μmLρ为定值,此时TL值随着厚度t的变化而变化。
实验采用伪双能X射线,X射线源管电压150 kV、管电流1 mA,实验所用材料为T2紫铜。
将紫铜厚度按TL值进行区间划分,将TL值从0.4~1.9划分成10个区间,并对每个区间的数据进行采集,得到的结果见表1
将所得数据输入Origin 2022软件进行多项式曲线拟合,得到曲线如图1所示。
其中,TL值在0.4~0.5之间的T值曲线表达式为:
TL值在0.5~0.6之间的T值曲线表达式为:
TL值在0.6~0.7之间的T值曲线表达式为:
TL值在0.7~0.8之间的T值曲线表达式为:
TL值在0.8~0.9之间的T值曲线表达式为:

TL值在1.1~1.5之间的T值曲线表达式为:
TL值在1.5~1.9之间的T值曲线表达式为:
TL值大于1.9的T值曲线表达式为:
以上曲线的相关系数分别为0.999 8、0.993 6、0.995 5、0.998 3、0.997 0、0.995 2、0.999 8、0.995 3、0.982 7、0.999 2,曲线拟合相关度均较好。
再计算采集所得T值与不同TL值对应曲线上的映射值的残差:
式中:yi为对应TL值在曲线上的映射值;ST值与曲线映射值的残差。
双能X射线照射物质后会形成高能图像和低能图像,高能图像由高能射线穿透物质形成,信号能量值较高,可以更好地凸显物质中密度较高的地方;低能图像由低能射线透射物质形成,信号能量值更低,可以凸显物质中的低密度结构。将高能、低能图像一起分析可以获取更加全面的信息。本文选用双能X射线所形成的高能、低能图像对分段T值曲线进行实验分析。
从德兴铜矿选取两块铜矿:一块精矿,一块尾矿,图2为精矿的高能、低能图像,图3为尾矿的高能、低能图像。
将精矿和尾矿信号能量值分别代入式(4),得到T值矩阵:
式中:Txy)为T值矩阵,矩阵内的每个值即为该点的T值;IH(ijIL(ij分别为高能、低能图像对应点的信号能量值。
T值矩阵中每个T值点对应的TL值代入式(5)~(14)符合区间条件的相应曲线中计算曲线映射值,形成残差矩阵Sxy):
精矿、尾矿高能和低能图像分别经过式(16)和式(17)处理后,得到残差图像,结合T2紫铜数据分析对比精矿和尾矿的残差差异,对铜含量较高处、矿石其余部分以及背景分别进行标记。再将标记好的图像进行线性变换:
最后将线性变换后的图像进行RGB伪彩色配色,得到结果如图4所示。
将5 000块铜矿的高能、低能图像分别用分段T值曲线拟合处理得到5 000张伪彩图,其中2 500张精矿伪彩图、2 500张尾矿伪彩图。选取2 000张精矿和2 000张尾矿伪彩图用作训练,其余作为验证。将所有图像按照上述要求放入ResNet18神经网络中训练,训练轮次为50轮,最终验证集准确率为87.30%。训练集和验证集的准确率和损失结果分别见图5图6,其中损失结果纵坐标表示的是预测值与真实值的不一致程度,是一个非负实值。
调用训练好的模型,用600张经过分段T值曲线拟合后的铜矿图像伪彩图进行测试,测试结果为成功预测532张,准确率88.67%。
研究了基于T值曲线拟合算法的双能X射线透射识别方法,提出了一种分段T值曲线拟合方法,并将经过分段T值曲线拟合的铜矿图像放入ResNet18神经网络中进行实验测试,准确率达88.67%,分类效果较好,验证了该方法的可行性。
