The acid leaching solution of cathode materials from spent lithium iron phosphate batteries was taken as raw material, and iron, phosphorus and lithium elements therein were recovered by adopting an oxidation-precipitation process. The effects of factors, including endpoint pH value of reaction system, reaction temperature, concentration of sodium hydroxide, dripping rate of sodium hydroxide, and the volume ratio of hydrogen peroxide to acid leaching solution, on the precipitation rates of iron and phosphorus and the loss of lithium during the precipitation process were all investigated. Results show that with the endpoint pH value of 2.5, temperature of 75 ℃, sodium hydroxide with concentration of 1.5 mol/L, sodium hydroxide solution at a dripping rate of 7.7 mL/min, and hydrogen peroxide and acid leaching solution in a volume ratio of 1∶60, the average precipitation rates of iron and phosphorus are 99.86% and 98.23%, respectively, and the average loss of lithium is just 1.23%. Under the above-mentioned conditions, iron and phosphorus in the solution can be effectively removed and recycled in the form of iron phosphate, presenting a lower loss rate of lithium. After 5 h-heat treatment at 700 ℃, it is shown that the chemical composition of iron phosphate can meet the industrial standard.

以废旧磷酸铁锂电池正极材料酸浸液为原料,采用氧化-沉淀法回收铁、磷、锂元素。考察了沉淀过程中反应体系终点pH值、温度、氢氧化钠浓度、氢氧化钠滴加速度和过氧化氢与酸浸液的体积比对铁、磷沉淀率和锂损失率的影响。结果表明:反应体系终点pH值2.5、温度75 ℃、氢氧化钠浓度1.5 mol/L、氢氧化钠滴加速度7.7 mL/min、过氧化氢与酸浸液的体积比为1∶60条件下,铁平均沉淀率99.86%,磷平均沉淀率98.23%,锂平均损失率仅1.23%;在该条件下,铁和磷可以有效地从溶液中被去除,锂损失率较低;同时,铁、磷以磷酸铁形式回收利用,经700 ℃热处理5 h,所得磷酸铁元素组成符合行业标准。

以废旧磷酸铁锂电池正极材料酸浸液为原料,采用氧化-沉淀法回收铁、磷、锂元素。考察了沉淀过程中反应体系终点pH值、温度、氢氧化钠浓度、氢氧化钠滴加速度和过氧化氢与酸浸液的体积比对铁、磷沉淀率和锂损失率的影响。结果表明:反应体系终点pH值2.5、温度75 ℃、氢氧化钠浓度1.5 mol/L、氢氧化钠滴加速度7.7 mL/min、过氧化氢与酸浸液的体积比为1∶60条件下,铁平均沉淀率99.86%,磷平均沉淀率98.23%,锂平均损失率仅1.23%;在该条件下,铁和磷可以有效地从溶液中被去除,锂损失率较低;同时,铁、磷以磷酸铁形式回收利用,经700 ℃热处理5 h,所得磷酸铁元素组成符合行业标准。

The acid leaching solution of cathode materials from spent lithium iron phosphate batteries was taken as raw material, and iron, phosphorus and lithium elements therein were recovered by adopting an oxidation-precipitation process. The effects of factors, including endpoint pH value of reaction system, reaction temperature, concentration of sodium hydroxide, dripping rate of sodium hydroxide, and the volume ratio of hydrogen peroxide to acid leaching solution, on the precipitation rates of iron and phosphorus and the loss of lithium during the precipitation process were all investigated. Results show that with the endpoint pH value of 2.5, temperature of 75 ℃, sodium hydroxide with concentration of 1.5 mol/L, sodium hydroxide solution at a dripping rate of 7.7 mL/min, and hydrogen peroxide and acid leaching solution in a volume ratio of 1∶60, the average precipitation rates of iron and phosphorus are 99.86% and 98.23%, respectively, and the average loss of lithium is just 1.23%. Under the above-mentioned conditions, iron and phosphorus in the solution can be effectively removed and recycled in the form of iron phosphate, presenting a lower loss rate of lithium. After 5 h-heat treatment at 700 ℃, it is shown that the chemical composition of iron phosphate can meet the industrial standard.

随着“双碳”目标的提出,世界各国加快了新能源产业发展的步伐。近年来,由于我国政策的大力支持,新能源汽车产业技术不断发展进步,我国已成为全球新能源汽车产业的产销大国[1-2]。2015年我国首批新能源汽车上市,锂离子电池的典型使用寿命为5~8年,现已迎来退役潮。据统计,2021年国内累计退役锂离子电池约32万吨,2025年将迎来首批大规模退役高峰,预计约78万吨[3-4]。废旧磷酸铁锂电池正极材料中含有大量锂、铁、磷等资源,如果能合理回收、利用废磷酸铁锂电池正极材料,将能大大减少电池报废带来的污染和资源浪费,同时缓解我国近年来正面临的锂资源短缺状况。因此,进行针对废旧磷酸铁锂电池正极材料资源化回收的研究具有现实意义[5-8]
采用湿法浸出技术处理废旧磷酸铁锂电池正极材料,能够便捷地从中提取有价值金属元素[9-10]。其中硫酸是一种常用的酸性浸出剂[11-14],在适宜的实验参数下,锂浸出率高达98%[15],但硫酸浸出过程不具有选择性,在锂高浸出率的同时,酸浸液中会含有很多铁、磷等元素[16]。目前,针对酸浸液除杂和元素同步回收的研究相对有限,需要开发一种获得纯净的富锂溶液的同时将其他元素转变为有价值产品的工艺。
本文采用氧化-沉淀方法处理废旧磷酸铁锂电池正极材料酸浸液,以磷酸铁形式回收其中的铁和磷,以富锂滤液形式回收锂,并优化了实验条件,优化条件下所得磷酸铁组成符合HG/T 4701—2021[17]要求,产物可作为电池级磷酸铁前驱体。
实验所用原料为安徽某公司提供的废弃磷酸铁锂电池正极材料经硫酸浸出所得酸浸液,其具体成分见表1
主要试剂包括氢氧化钠、30%双氧水,均为分析纯;实验用水为超纯水。
实验仪器包括集热式恒温加热磁力搅拌器、蠕动泵、pH计、马弗炉等。
酸浸液中铁主要以Fe2+形式存在,需使用H2O2将其氧化为Fe3+(反应(1))。调整溶液pH值后Fe3+可以与PO43-结合生成FePO4·2H2O沉淀(反应(2))。当工艺条件不合适时,淡黄色的FePO4·2H2O易转化为红褐色的Fe(OH)3(反应(3))。
取50 mL酸浸液于250 mL烧杯中,在集热式恒温加热磁力搅拌器中进行加热搅拌。使用蠕动泵向烧杯中滴加过氧化氢,滴加结束后向其中滴加氢氧化钠溶液用于调节溶液pH值。调整pH值后陈化30 min,过滤得到磷酸铁与富锂滤液,检测富锂滤液中各元素质量浓度。
通过改变过程中各工艺条件探究其对铁、磷沉淀率和锂损失率的影响。对磷酸铁使用超纯水多次洗涤,将洗涤后的磷酸铁置于烘箱中85 ℃下烘干12 h,然后在马弗炉中700 ℃下热处理5 h,对其进行分析测试。
采用原子吸收分光光度计检测富锂滤液中锂和铁质量浓度,采用等离子体发射光谱仪检测磷和其他元素质量浓度。采用梅特勒便携式pH计测试实验过程的pH值。采用X射线衍射仪检测固体物相组成。
使用1 mol/L氢氧化钠调节溶液pH值,在反应温度60 ℃、氢氧化钠滴加速度3.3 mL/min、过氧化氢与酸浸液体积比为1∶10条件下,探究了反应体系终点pH值对铁、磷沉淀率和锂损失率的影响,结果如图1所示。由图1可知,随着反应体系终点pH值升高,铁和磷沉淀率先升高后趋于平稳,锂损失率先升高后降低。随着体系pH值升高,Fe3+与PO43-结合形成FePO4,铁和磷沉淀率逐渐上升,在pH=2.5时反应基本完成。结合LiFePO4-FePO4-H2O体系的E-pH图[18],反应体系pH值低于6时,Fe3+优先与PO4 3-结合形成FePO4沉淀,此时锂以Li+形式存在于溶液中,无法与PO43-结合形成沉淀,由此可以实现锂与铁、磷的分离;继续增大pH值,FePO4转化为Fe(OH)3、Li+转化为Li3PO4。为了保证磷酸铁的纯度、避免过多引入氢氧化钠,综合考虑铁、磷沉淀率和锂损失率,适宜的反应体系终点pH值为2.5。
反应体系终点pH值2.5,其他条件不变,探究了反应温度对铁、磷沉淀率和锂损失率的影响,结果如图2所示。由图2可知,随着反应温度升高,铁沉淀率先小幅增加后达到平衡,60 ℃时铁沉淀率99.77%,磷沉淀率逐渐减小后达到平衡,75 ℃时磷沉淀率98.27%。锂损失率先减小后几乎不变,75 ℃时达到锂损失率最低,约1.5%。磷酸铁沉淀对杂质离子的吸附是放热过程,温度升高可以减少对杂质的吸附[19],升高反应温度在一定程度上可以减少锂的损失。综合考虑,反应温度选择75 ℃。
反应温度75 ℃,其他条件不变,探究了氢氧化钠浓度对铁、磷沉淀率和锂损失率的影响,结果如图3所示。由图3可知,随着氢氧化钠浓度升高,铁沉淀率逐渐增大,磷沉淀率整体降低,锂损失率逐渐增大。高浓度的氢氧化钠会使局部pH值迅速增大,导致局部迅速生成Fe(OH)3,磷沉淀率降低,锂也迅速被夹带在沉淀中造成损耗。为了防止低浓度氢氧化钠导致溶液被稀释后锂浓度过低而影响后续沉锂操作,选择氢氧化钠浓度1.5 mol/L。
氢氧化钠浓度1.5 mol/L,其他条件不变,探究了氢氧化钠滴加速度对铁、磷沉淀率和锂损失率的影响,结果如图4所示。由图4可知,随着氢氧化钠滴加速度加快,铁和磷沉淀率变化幅度较小,锂损失率变化规律不强。综合考虑反应时间及铁、磷沉淀率和锂损失率,选择氢氧化钠滴加速度7.7 mL/min。
氢氧化钠滴加速度7.7 mL/min,其他条件不变,探究了过氧化氢与酸浸液体积比对铁、磷沉淀率和锂损失率的影响,结果如图5所示。随着过氧化氢用量减少,铁、磷沉淀率和锂损失率均逐渐减少,过氧化氢与酸浸液体积比1∶60后铁沉淀率和锂损失率大幅度下降。过氧化氢为氧化剂,可将酸浸液中Fe2+氧化为Fe3+,过氧化氢与酸浸液体积比小于1∶60时,无法充分氧化溶液中的Fe2+,铁沉淀率下降。综合考虑,选择过氧化氢与酸浸液体积比为1∶60。
根据单因素实验,确定优化条件为:反应体系终点pH值2.5、温度75 ℃、氢氧化钠浓度1.5 mol/L、氢氧化钠滴加速度7.7 mL/min、过氧化氢与酸浸液体积比1∶60。在此条件下进行了3组重复实验,结果见表2。优化条件下,铁平均沉淀率为99.86%,磷平均沉淀率为98.23%,锂平均损失率为1.23%。
富锂滤液中Li、Fe、P质量浓度分别为2.63 g/L、0.025 g/L、0.072 g/L。可见铁与磷去除效果很好,铁、磷质量浓度均在0.1 g/L以下,锂质量浓度超过1 g/L,达到了沉淀磷酸锂的要求,便于后续处理。
图6为热处理前后磷酸铁的XRD图谱。从图6可以看出,热处理前磷酸铁没有明显的衍射峰,在20°~30°间出现一个馒头峰,由此判断该滤渣为无定形非晶态[20]。700 ℃热处理5 h后,其与标准磷酸铁衍射峰的PDF卡片(FePO4,PDF#77-0094)基本一致,且与(100)、(012)、(104)等晶面一一对应,衍射峰强度高,峰形尖锐,说明热处理后样品为结晶状态良好的FePO4
热处理后FePO4化学成分分析结果见表3表3中同时也列出了HG/T 4701—2021行业标准。由表3可知,热处理后FePO4中各组分质量分数均符合行业标准,可作为电池级磷酸铁前驱体。
1)采用氧化-沉淀法回收废旧磷酸铁锂电池正极材料酸浸液中的铁、磷、锂,优化后的沉淀工艺条件为:反应体系终点pH值2.5、温度75 ℃、氢氧化钠浓度1.5 mol/L、氢氧化钠滴加速度7.7 mL/min、过氧化氢与酸浸液体积比1∶60。在此条件下铁平均沉淀率99.86%,磷平均沉淀率98.23%,锂平均损失率仅1.23%。
2)滤渣经700 ℃热处理5 h后形成结晶状态良好的FePO4
3)FePO4各组分符合行业标准。富锂滤液中铁与磷被有效去除,可作为电池级磷酸铁前驱体。
