To investigate directional independence of multistage stress memory during progressive cyclic loading of granite under compression with a series of deflection angle, experiments were conducted on cyclic loading and unloading of granite with different deflection angles by using a self-made deflection device. The Kaiser effect (KE) and the incomplete erasion phenomenon (IEP) of the maximum stress in previous multistage cycles after progressive cyclic loading with deflection angles were explored in the experiments. Results show that both KE and IEP in granite exhibit directional independence. The directional independence of KE has a critical angle of 10° and the directional independence of IEP has a critical angle of 12°. With a deflection angle of 12°, the IEP will interfere with the memory of historical maximum stress by KE.

为了研究花岗岩在压缩荷载阶梯循环下偏转加载时多期应力记忆方向独立性,采用自制的偏转加载装置对花岗岩进行不同偏转角度的阶梯循环加卸载试验,研究岩石在偏转加载循环后记忆先前多次循环中最大应力的凯塞效应(KE)以及抹录不净现象(IEP)。结果表明:花岗岩KE以及IEP均具有方向独立性,KE方向独立性存在的临界角度为10°,IEP方向独立性存在的临界角度为12°;偏转角度达到12°后,IEP会干扰KE对历史最大应力的记忆。

为了研究花岗岩在压缩荷载阶梯循环下偏转加载时多期应力记忆方向独立性,采用自制的偏转加载装置对花岗岩进行不同偏转角度的阶梯循环加卸载试验,研究岩石在偏转加载循环后记忆先前多次循环中最大应力的凯塞效应(KE)以及抹录不净现象(IEP)。结果表明:花岗岩KE以及IEP均具有方向独立性,KE方向独立性存在的临界角度为10°,IEP方向独立性存在的临界角度为12°;偏转角度达到12°后,IEP会干扰KE对历史最大应力的记忆。

To investigate directional independence of multistage stress memory during progressive cyclic loading of granite under compression with a series of deflection angle, experiments were conducted on cyclic loading and unloading of granite with different deflection angles by using a self-made deflection device. The Kaiser effect (KE) and the incomplete erasion phenomenon (IEP) of the maximum stress in previous multistage cycles after progressive cyclic loading with deflection angles were explored in the experiments. Results show that both KE and IEP in granite exhibit directional independence. The directional independence of KE has a critical angle of 10° and the directional independence of IEP has a critical angle of 12°. With a deflection angle of 12°, the IEP will interfere with the memory of historical maximum stress by KE.

声发射(acoustic emission,AE)法测量地应力方便、可靠,在工程中得到了广泛运用[1],尤其是在没有深层地下通道的情况下,重定向岩心声发射方法可以突破测量空间和测量深度的限制[2]。但是AE法测量地应力的基础理论研究尚不满足工程应用,AE信号对先前应力的记忆效果受到多因素的影响[3],其中主要为应力历史和应力方向的影响。
对于应力历史的影响,涉及AE信号对先前应力的多期记忆特性,即凯塞效应(Kaiser effect,KE)。所记忆的应力可能是现今应力或是历史最大应力,或是取岩心的加工应力。文献[4]提出抹录不净现象(incomplete erasion phenomenon,IEP),为累计AE特征参数曲线出现多个突变点提供了合理解释[5](KE的多期性),即岩石在受到多期应力历史下,IEP会和KE同时出现,可能会使AE信号在记忆前期多期应力的同时影响AE信号对先前最大应力的记忆。
对于应力方向的影响,由于AE法主要是通过室内试验对定向岩心进行循环加卸载,并同步记录AE信号,通过KE出现时所施加的应力来确定该方向上岩心所承受的最大应力。工程实际中,存在以下2个问题:①由于加工精度会存在取芯方向与既定方向上的偏差,取芯方向在多少角度偏差范围内可以代替既定方向进行测试?②既定方向上的KE是否会相互影响?两者均表现为AE信号对先前应力记忆的方向独立性。对此,学者对KE的方向独立性进行了研究,主要有以下3种观点[6-9]:①主应力偏转90°,KE存在方向独立性,即在相互垂直的加载方向上存在KE方向独立性;②主应力偏转0°~90°之间,KE部分存在方向独立性,但偏转角度区间不同;③主应力偏转,KE不存在方向独立性。
上述研究主要针对非偏转加载下AE信号对先前多期应力的记忆效应或偏转加载下AE信号对先前最大应力的记忆效果。偏转加载下AE信号对先前多期应力记忆效果的研究鲜有报道,因此有必要进行岩石多级偏转循环加卸载试验AE特征研究,进一步系统和深入地认识偏转加载下AE信号的多期应力记忆方向独立性。
选择花岗岩进行单轴偏转压缩荷载下的循环加卸载。岩石样本取自埋深小于20 m的福建漳州采石场,开采的母岩(约45 cm×45 cm×45 cm)静止放置一个月,以忽略原始地应力。然后,从最大纵波速度(Vp)方向对所有试样进行钻孔,以避免岩石微裂纹对试验结果的影响。试样加工尺寸为Φ50 mm×100 mm,满足国际岩石力学学会(ISRM)的要求,并选择具有相似Vp的岩石试样进行测试。图1为花岗岩的微观结构和矿物成分。由图1可知,花岗岩由长石(48.76%)、白云岩(25.64%)、石英(20.18%)、黑云母(5.43%)胶结而成,其矿物粒度大于200 μm。作为典型的全晶质火成岩,其晶粒之间紧密,界面裂纹少,晶体界面黏结紧密。
使用INSTRON 1342万能试验机对花岗岩试件进行位移控制的加载,加载速率为0.12 mm/min,加载至试样破坏。测得的花岗岩基本力学参数见表1
根据所测得的花岗岩峰值强度,采用5 kN/min的力控制加载。第1次循环加载,先将试验机上的偏转加载夹具的偏转角度调整到0°,加载至30%花岗岩峰值强度,保持300 s,赋予一个初始应力状态,后卸载并转动试件,以避免端部效应对试验结果的影响;第2次循环加载不改变夹具的偏转角度,加载至50%花岗岩峰值强度,保持300 s,赋予二次应力状态;第3次循环加载,先将夹具的偏转角度调整到θ(使用G-θ进行试样编号,θ取0°,5°,10°,12°,14°,15°),加载到70%花岗岩峰值强度,加载全过程同步记录AE信号。加载方案如图2所示。
加载开始前,在试件端部和加载夹具的试件台之间,以及试件侧面与AE探头之间均匀涂抹凡士林,以减小端部噪声并且耦合探头和试件之间接触,安装好探头后,进行断铅测试,通过观察波形的振幅来验证耦合质量。如果波形幅度大于90 dB,则耦合质量良好;否则,需重新进行上述措施,直到波形幅度大于90 dB[10]
各阶段的应力计算公式如下:
式中:σ1σ2σ3分别为第1、第2和第3循环中的应力;F1F2F3分别是第1、第2和第3循环中的荷载。
采用声发射累计振铃计数判定AE信号突变点,从绘制的AE累计振铃计数与时间曲线中识别特征点。
岩石的AE累计振铃计数图大致表现为折线和曲线2种特征,因此,需要采用不同的AE信号突变点判断方法。
1)对于折线型AE累计振铃计数图,使用跳跃点法判定。
2)对于曲线型AE累计振铃计数图,采用逐点全局双线性回归分析方法确定[8]。具体操作方法如下:考虑AE累积计数曲线ft)上的任意点Ztzyz),对曲线t<tz的所有点进行线性回归,将曲线左侧的误差记为a1;对曲线t>tz的所有点进行线性回归,将曲线右侧的误差记为a2;曲线的总误差a=a1+a2,此处选择残差方差作为总误差。上述操作在曲线上所有点上进行,最后确定左右线性回归总误差a最小的点为AE信号突变点。
3)第3次循环时,记忆30%峰值强度(0.3σc)的AE突变点(IEP)以及50%峰值强度(0.5σc)的AE突变点(KE)的判定方法如下:
①有明显拐点,则优先使用跳跃点法找出该点,并定义其为第1个AE突变点。若该点在曲线前端,则对其时间顺序上后部分的数据进行逐点全局双线性拟合;若该点在曲线后端,则对其时间顺序上前部分数据进行逐点全局双线性拟合,识别第2个AE突变点。
②没有拐点,则优先对所有数据进行逐点全局双线性拟合并定义该点为第1个AE突变点,然后分别对其前后进行逐点全局双线性拟合,得出2个二次AE突变候选点,再根据AE曲线特征,选择符合点作为真正的第2个AE突变点。
③通过如上2种方法识别的2个AE突变点,定义在时间顺序上靠前的点记忆0.3σc,对应IEP;在时间顺序上靠后的点记忆0.5σc,对应KE。
费利西蒂效应(Felicity effect)表征了声发射过程的不可逆性,可以用费利西蒂比率RF表示:
式中:PAE为AE信号突增处的应力值,即KE对应的应力数值;Pmax为先前施加的最大预应力值。
RF很好地反映了岩石先前记忆损伤的严重程度[11],它可以用于评估AE信号突然增加对应力记忆的准确性,包括KE和IEP对先前应力的记忆水平。考虑到样品制备的准确性和试验设备的灵敏度,当RF∈[0.85,1.15]时,存在先前的应力记忆,其中,当RF∈[0.90,1.10]时,先前的应力记忆清晰[12]
θ=0°(G-0)时对非偏转循环加载情况下的KE以及IEP进行验证,卸载速率为15 kN/min,声发射特征如图3所示。由图3可知,在加载过程中都可以识别KE,并且在第3次循环加载中可以识别IEP,说明本文提出的识别记忆多个应力的AE突变点方法是有效的。
加载过程中花岗岩对应的KE和IEP的RF值见表2。由表2可知,G-0试件的RF∈[0.90,1.10],表明AE信号可以通过KE和IEP反映岩石在非偏转载荷下的多次应力记忆。同时,KE的识别先于IEP,即IEP对应的AE信号突变幅度小于KE对应的AE信号突变幅度。从微观角度来看,KE源于微裂纹在达到之前应力水平后的二次发展,导致更强的AE信号变化。然而,IEP的来源可能是由于产生KE过程中萌生和发育的分支裂纹。当随后的加载达到前一次KE记忆的应力水平时,由于新应力集中的重新发展,而发生较小的AE信号变化。
花岗岩在不同偏转角前后的应力、振铃计数和累计振铃计数与时间的关系曲线如图4所示。需要在第3次循环加载之前调整夹具角度,且第1次循环阶段仅提供初始应力记忆,因此仅分析第2次和第3次循环加载阶段。
在第2次循环加载阶段,当应力接近0.3σc时,出现了显著的AE活动,表明KE发生[13]。根据第2次循环加载曲线,计算各试件对应0.3σcRF值,结果见表3。由表3可知,RF值在[0.90,1.10]范围内,表明花岗岩先前的应力(0.3σc)记忆清晰。当施加低于0.3σc的应力水平时,大多数试件在第1次循环压实作用后仍然有很少的AE信号,表明由于加载和卸载引起新应力集中,试件中很少有新微裂纹萌生或发展。特别是,G-5、G-10、G-15试件在σ<0.3σc下具有相对较高的振铃计数,这可能是加载时的端部效应引起的,但对确定KE点的判定没有影响。
根据第3次循环加载曲线计算各试件对应0.3σc、0.5σcRF值见表3表4。由表3表4可知,偏转角5°时,先识别KE,再识别IEP,表明此时KE对应的AE信号变化幅度大于IEP。然而,偏转角达到12°时,先识别IEP,从而影响KE对0.5σc记忆的判断,表现为偏转角12°时,IEP(记忆0.3σc)对应的AE信号突变曲线比KE(记忆0.5σc)对应的更显著。
花岗岩RF值随偏转角的变化曲线如图5所示。由图5可知,偏转角不大于10°时,RF0.3-1RF0.5均在[0.85,1.15]范围内。当偏转角大于10°时,RF0.3-1RF0.5开始减小。RF0.3-1在偏转14°处脱离[0.85,1.15]的范围,而RF0.5在偏转12°处脱离范围。表明花岗岩KE方向独立性的临界角偏转为10°,IEP在偏转12°范围内仍能记忆0.3σc
从裂纹发育的角度来看,岩石在远场压应力情况下,岩石内部裂纹发育的优势方向大致平行于压应力方向。非偏转循环加载时,在先前KE现象出现的应力水平下的细观裂纹尚未发育完全,下次循环加载应力达到先前KE现象出现的应力水平附近时,由于新的应力集中,细观裂纹再次少量萌生和发育,从而造成抹录不净现象。偏转加载时,远场压应力的方向发生改变,优势方向也会跟着改变,在先前优势方向萌生和发育的裂纹在新方向二次发育的难度会随着偏转角度增大而逐渐增大,从而导致岩石在偏转下的多期应力记忆衰退。
花岗岩在偏转加载到12°时,IEP与KE的识别顺序发生了反转。其原因可能是,花岗岩作为全晶质火成岩,其矿物颗粒紧密胶结,且主要由长石构成,矿物晶粒间的介观裂纹沿界面裂纹或晶体界面萌生和发展的难度很大,造成能量屏障作用。在偏转载荷下,当应力达到0.3σc时,产生了新的应力集中,介观裂纹沿界面裂纹或晶体界面次生发展,由于矿物晶体之间强烈的能量屏障作用,产生的AE信号局部发生剧烈变化,影响第2次KE(记忆0.5σc)识别。
KE与IEP共同组成AE信号突变对应力的多期记忆;在地应力测量过程中,累计AE特征参数与时间曲线会出现多个AE突变点(伪KE),可能是岩石由于抹录不净现象出现对先前多次应力的记忆,从而干扰真KE对应力的记忆。
1)花岗岩存在多期应力记忆,主要通过KE和IEP表现;传统单轴加卸载循环中,IEP对应的AE信号突变幅度小于KE对应的AE信号。
2)花岗岩在单轴偏转加载下KE和IEP都存在方向独立性,前者独立性存在的临界角度为10°,后者独立性存在的临界角度为12°,随着偏转角度增加,记忆效果衰退。
3)花岗岩在偏转12°加载后,IEP对应的AE信号在局部会比KE对应的信号变化更明显,而被优先识别,从而干扰KE对历史最大应力的记忆。
