A complete set of mineral processing technology was proposed for beneficiation tests of a beach placer with TiO2 grade of 3.33% and Cr2O3 content of 0.36%. After a pre-concentration comprised of a gravity separation, a low intensity magnetic separation and a medium intensity magnetic separation, the rough concentrate was processed by roasting followed by dry magnetic separation, producing a titanium concentrate with TiO2 grade of 47.72%, Cr2O3 grade of 0.071% and TiO2 recovery of 64.76%. It is concluded that the goal to prepare qualified titanium concentrate by extracting titanium and reducing chromium can therewith be achieved.

对TiO2品位3.33%、Cr2O3品位0.36%的某海滨砂矿进行了选矿试验研究。采用重选-弱磁选-中强磁选预处理和焙烧-干式磁选再处理成套选矿技术,可获得TiO2品位47.72%、Cr2O3品位0.071%、TiO2回收率64.76%的钛精矿产品,实现了提钛降铬、生产合格钛精矿的目标。

A complete set of mineral processing technology was proposed for beneficiation tests of a beach placer with TiO2 grade of 3.33% and Cr2O3 content of 0.36%. After a pre-concentration comprised of a gravity separation, a low intensity magnetic separation and a medium intensity magnetic separation, the rough concentrate was processed by roasting followed by dry magnetic separation, producing a titanium concentrate with TiO2 grade of 47.72%, Cr2O3 grade of 0.071% and TiO2 recovery of 64.76%. It is concluded that the goal to prepare qualified titanium concentrate by extracting titanium and reducing chromium can therewith be achieved.

钛铁矿是生产海绵钛、制备钛白粉的主要原料,也是生产钛铁合金和电焊条不可缺少的原料[1]。具有工业应用价值的钛矿床主要有岩浆钛铁矿床及钛砂矿床两大类,海滨砂矿是最具工业应用价值的钛砂矿床[2-3]。随着国家“走出去”战略实施,大批中资企业赴海外开展海滨砂矿资源开发利用研究[4-5]。本文针对国外某海滨砂矿,开展了钛铁矿回收选矿工艺技术研究,开发了“原矿螺旋溜槽重选-弱磁选-强磁选预处理、钛粗精矿焙烧-干式磁选再处理”的成套选矿工艺技术,获得了理想的选矿技术指标,实现了提钛降铬、生产合格钛精矿的目标。研究成果可为该海滨砂矿规模化开发提供可靠的设计依据和技术支持,在类似海滨砂矿资源开发中起到很好的技术引领作用。
国外某海滨砂矿原矿主要化学成分及钛化学物相分析结果分别见表1表2,采用MLA(矿物参数自动分析系统)统计的主要矿物组成见表3。可供选矿回收的主要组分为TiO2,Fe、ZrO2和Cr2O3可作为综合利用对象。脉石组分主要为SiO2,次为Al2O3,有害杂质P和S含量均较低,预计对钛铁矿精矿质量的影响有限。以钛铁矿形式产出的TiO2占77.18%,分布于金红石中的TiO2为7.81%,赋存在钛磁铁矿和硅酸盐矿物中的TiO2分别占8.41%和6.60%。该海滨砂矿主要组成矿物种类较为简单,钛矿物主要为钛铁矿,次为金红石;铁矿物包括钛磁铁矿、赤铁矿和少量褐铁矿;铬矿物部分为铬铁矿,部分为铬铁尖晶石;锆矿物主要为锆石,偶见斜锆石;脉石矿物主要为石英,次为蒙脱石、辉石、长石等。
钛铁矿除少数呈微细片状微晶作为固熔体析出物分布在部分钛磁铁矿晶粒中,多为磨圆度较好、棱角不甚明显的椭圆形粒状,部分为半自形板柱状,绝大部分呈单体状态产出,粒度一般0.04~0.25 mm。部分钛铁矿已发生不同程度赤铁矿化和金红石化,局部伴有轻微的榍石化。铬矿物分布较为零星,除极个别与脉石毗连镶嵌外,基本为单体粒状,与钛铁矿、钛磁铁矿、赤铁矿直接嵌连者极为少见,次生变化微弱,粒度较钛磁铁矿、钛铁矿略为细小,少数可至0.3 mm左右,一般0.04~0.2 mm。脉石矿物中绝大部分石英、辉石和长石均为单体粒状,预计解离程度对钛精矿质量影响甚微。在绝大部分粒状矿物(钛铁矿、钛磁铁矿、赤铁矿、铬矿物和锆石等)边缘及粒间常见由蒙脱石组成并夹杂高岭石和绿泥石等黏土的矿物集合体呈皮壳状分布,其厚度一般0.02~0.06 mm。
绝大部分目的矿物呈单体状态产出是获得理想选矿技术指标的必要条件。采用MLA对原矿样品中钛铁矿、铁矿物(包括钛磁铁矿、假象赤铁矿和赤铁矿)、铬矿物和锆石解离度进行了测定,结果见表4。钛铁矿、铁矿物、铬矿物、锆石等呈单体产出的比例均接近或超过95%,其中钛铁矿单体解离度达到95.05%,铬矿物和锆石单体解离度达到98%以上,据此判断,不需要进一步磨矿,直接处理该海滨砂矿原矿,理论上即可获得较高TiO2品位的钛铁矿精矿。
分析影响选矿指标的矿物学因素,主要包括:①尽管原矿样品中钛磁铁矿解离程度较高,但由于大部分晶粒内部含有呈类质同象形式存在的TiO2或由固熔体分离作用析出形成的微细钛铁矿片晶,预计通过弱磁选工艺分选得到的钛磁铁矿精矿中TiO2品位偏高,一定程度上会影响钛精矿的回收率;②采用弱磁选工艺分选钛磁铁矿过程中,钛铁矿、赤铁矿和铬矿物等将与脉石一起进入弱磁选尾矿;③钛铁矿与铬铁矿密度、比磁化系数、导电性等主要物理性质较为接近,预计从弱磁选尾矿中进一步富集钛铁矿时,采用常规重选、磁选、电选等工艺很难实现与铬矿物的有效分离,只能获得一种含有钛铁矿、铬矿物的富钛、富铬混合型中间产品。
海滨砂矿中有价矿物品位一般较低,在海滨砂矿实际资源化开发实践中,一般对原矿进行重选预富集处理,钛矿物、铁矿物、铬矿物和锆矿物等重矿物进入重选精矿产品中;对重选精矿产品采用磁选进行再处理,铁矿物进入弱磁选精矿中,钛铁矿和铬铁矿进入中强磁选精矿中,获得钛粗精矿产品[6-7]
根据工艺矿物学研究结果,拟采用焙烧工艺对含有钛铁矿和铬铁矿的钛粗精矿进行处理,通过转变矿相,人为扩大钛铁矿和铬铁矿的物化性质差异,钛铁矿氧化生成FeTiO3-Fe2O3的M2O3型固溶体和金红石微晶,这种矿相重构较大提高了钛铁矿的比磁化系数,有利于钛铁矿与铬铁矿和非磁性硅酸盐矿物的磁选分离,是可工程化的降低钛铁矿精矿中铬含量的有效技术方法[8-9]。该海滨砂矿选矿原则流程见图1
根据确定的选矿原则流程,采用重选(螺旋溜槽)对海滨砂矿原矿进行预富集处理,采用弱磁选+中强磁选流程对重选精矿产品进行进一步处理。
确定了螺旋溜槽重选预富集合适的工艺条件为:流程结构为一次粗选一次精选;粗选和精选设备分别为Φ680 mm螺旋溜槽和Φ1 200 mm螺旋溜槽;粗选给矿浓度25%~30%、单台螺旋溜槽处理能力3~6 t/h。
采用磁选进一步处理重选精矿产品。磁选流程为一次弱磁选、一次中强磁选,采用CRIMM YCS 918弱磁选机将强磁性的钛磁铁矿分离出来,再采用SLON 1500型脉动高梯度磁选机进一步富集钛铁矿和铬矿物。SLON 1500型脉动高梯度磁选机适宜的工艺参数为:磁感应强度0.5~0.6 T、冲次225次/min、转速3.5 r/min、漂洗水量7.22 m3/h。
在确定的重选预富集-磁选预处理合适的工艺和流程结构条件下,进行重选-磁选预处理试验,试验流程见图2,结果见表5
针对该海滨砂矿原矿,搅拌调浆后,经过螺旋溜槽一次粗选、一次精选重选预处理,可获得产率10.97%、TiO2品位28.61%、TiO2回收率90.97%的重选精矿产品;重选尾矿产率89.03%,TiO2损失率9.03%,尾矿中TiO2主要以金红石、含钛硅酸盐及细粒级钛铁矿形式存在。重选精矿经过一次弱磁选和一次中强磁选预处理,可得到产率6.58%、TiO2品位39.15%、TiO2回收率74.63%的钛粗精矿产品;弱磁选精矿铁品位56.59%、TiO2品位13.50%,主要为钛磁铁矿,可作为后续铁冶金的原料;磁选尾矿TiO2品位10.45%,主要以金红石形式存在,可作为后续进一步采用电选等选矿方法回收其中金红石等含钛矿物以及锆矿物的原料。
采用Y2236回转窑焙烧系统对钛粗精矿产品进行焙烧得到焙烧产品,再采用Φ400 mm×1 200 mm永磁双筒干式磁选机对焙烧产品进行磁选得到钛精矿产品。回转窑焙烧合适的工艺条件为:焙烧温度600~700 ℃、转速0.5~0.7 r/min、处理量3.0~4.0 t/h、焙烧时间20~30 min;干式磁选合适的工艺条件为:磁场强度0.4 T、转速50~60 r/min、处理量3.0~4.0 t/h。在该焙烧和干式磁选工艺条件下进行了钛粗精矿焙烧-干式磁选再处理连续试验研究,试验流程见图3,试验结果见表6。连续试验可获得产率71.58%、TiO2品位47.72%、Cr2O3品位0.071%、TiO2作业回收率86.78%的钛精矿产品。钛精矿产品中TiO2对原矿回收率达到64.76%;铬中矿中TiO2对原矿损失率为9.87%。
1)某海滨砂矿中TiO2、Cr2O3品位分别为3.33%、0.36%,TiO2在钛铁矿和金红石中的分布率合计为84.99%。主要脉石组分为SiO2,钛矿物等主要目的矿物解离度均接近或超过95%,无须进一步磨矿提高解离度。
2)原矿通过螺旋溜槽一次粗选、一次精选重选预处理,可获得TiO2品位28.61%、TiO2回收率90.97%的重选精矿产品,抛尾产率达到89.03%、TiO2损失率为9.03%。重选精矿经过一次弱磁选和一次中强磁选预处理,可得到TiO2品位39.15%、TiO2回收率74.63%的钛粗精矿产品,弱磁选精矿中铁品位为56.59%,主要为钛磁铁矿;重选尾矿和磁选尾矿TiO2回收率合计为11.84%,主要以金红石、含钛硅酸盐和细粒级钛铁矿形式存在。钛粗精矿经过焙烧-干式磁选再处理,可获得TiO2品位47.72%、Cr2O3品位0.071%、TiO2作业回收率86.78%、对原矿回收率64.76%的钛精矿产品。
3)本研究开发的“重选-弱磁选-中强磁选预处理、焙烧-干式磁选再处理”成套选矿工艺技术,实现了提钛降铬、生产合格钛精矿的目标,可为该海滨砂矿资源规模化开发利用提供技术依据。
