The leachate obtained from the oxidation leach of nickel-cobalt-iron powder with sulfuric acid was taken in the study for preparing iron phosphate. After potential adjustment, Al3+ and Cr3+ in the leachate were removed by neutralization and precipitation to achieve an efficient separation of Fe2+ and Al3+. The purified solution was then oxidized and used to prepare ferric phosphate hydrate by iron precipitation with phosphoric acid. Finally, the purified Ni-Co-rich solution was used to prepare nickel-cobalt hydroxide. It is found that firstly, with pH of the leachate at 4.5, 10 min of reaction at 25 ℃ can lead to the removal rates of Al and Cr reaching 100% and 97.15%, with loss rate of Fe at 2.42%; secondly, the obtained purified solution is subjected to 10-min iron precipitation at 25 ℃ with pH of 2.1, resulting in iron precipitation rate of 97.30%, loss rates of Ni and Co at 0.36% and 0.64%, respectively; the precipitate, amorphous iron phosphate with water of crystallization, is then subjected to 2-h calcination at 700 ℃ and converted to anhydrous FePO4, with both impurity content and iron-phosphorus ratio up to the standard of type I anhydrous iron phosphate in HG/T 4701—2021.

以镍钴铁粉经硫酸氧化浸出所得浸出液为研究对象,调整电位后采用中和沉淀法优先去除溶液中的Al3+和Cr3+,实现Fe2+与Al3+高效分离,净化液再经氧化后采用磷酸沉铁制备水合磷酸铁产品,富镍钴的净化液再用于制备氢氧化镍钴。结果表明,在溶液pH=4.5、反应温度25 ℃、反应时间10 min条件下,Al和Cr去除率分别为100%和97.15%,Fe损失率为2.42%;净化液在溶液pH值2.1、沉淀时间10 min、沉淀温度25 ℃条件下沉铁,Fe沉淀率为97.30%,Ni和Co损失率分别为0.36%和0.64%;沉淀产物为无定形且带结晶水的磷酸铁,经700 ℃煅烧2 h后转变为无水FePO4,其杂质含量和铁磷比符合HG/T 4701—2021中Ⅰ型无水磷酸铁的标准。

以镍钴铁粉经硫酸氧化浸出所得浸出液为研究对象,调整电位后采用中和沉淀法优先去除溶液中的Al3+和Cr3+,实现Fe2+与Al3+高效分离,净化液再经氧化后采用磷酸沉铁制备水合磷酸铁产品,富镍钴的净化液再用于制备氢氧化镍钴。结果表明,在溶液pH=4.5、反应温度25 ℃、反应时间10 min条件下,Al和Cr去除率分别为100%和97.15%,Fe损失率为2.42%;净化液在溶液pH值2.1、沉淀时间10 min、沉淀温度25 ℃条件下沉铁,Fe沉淀率为97.30%,Ni和Co损失率分别为0.36%和0.64%;沉淀产物为无定形且带结晶水的磷酸铁,经700 ℃煅烧2 h后转变为无水FePO4,其杂质含量和铁磷比符合HG/T 4701—2021中Ⅰ型无水磷酸铁的标准。

The leachate obtained from the oxidation leach of nickel-cobalt-iron powder with sulfuric acid was taken in the study for preparing iron phosphate. After potential adjustment, Al3+ and Cr3+ in the leachate were removed by neutralization and precipitation to achieve an efficient separation of Fe2+ and Al3+. The purified solution was then oxidized and used to prepare ferric phosphate hydrate by iron precipitation with phosphoric acid. Finally, the purified Ni-Co-rich solution was used to prepare nickel-cobalt hydroxide. It is found that firstly, with pH of the leachate at 4.5, 10 min of reaction at 25 ℃ can lead to the removal rates of Al and Cr reaching 100% and 97.15%, with loss rate of Fe at 2.42%; secondly, the obtained purified solution is subjected to 10-min iron precipitation at 25 ℃ with pH of 2.1, resulting in iron precipitation rate of 97.30%, loss rates of Ni and Co at 0.36% and 0.64%, respectively; the precipitate, amorphous iron phosphate with water of crystallization, is then subjected to 2-h calcination at 700 ℃ and converted to anhydrous FePO4, with both impurity content and iron-phosphorus ratio up to the standard of type I anhydrous iron phosphate in HG/T 4701—2021.

镍因其优良的性质被广泛应用于不锈钢、镍基合金、电镀及电池等领域[1]。目前可供开采的镍矿石主要为硫化镍矿和红土镍矿[2],随着硫化镍矿的不断开采与消耗,红土镍矿逐渐成为镍生产的主要原料[3]。为高效利用红土镍矿资源,尤其是中低品位的褐铁矿型红土镍矿,本课题组前期开发了红土镍矿选择性固态还原-磁选工艺[4],磁选获得的镍钴铁合金粉末可用于电炉冶炼不锈钢[5]。该工艺具有能耗低、回收率高和原料适应性强等优点,但镍钴铁粉直接用于冶炼不锈钢,其中同步富集的钴并未获得充分地资源化利用。在硫酸镍、硫酸钴需求强劲、镍铁产能过剩的背景下,开辟镍钴铁粉增值化利用新路径,可以进一步发挥该工艺优势。因此提出了以镍钴铁粉为原料、经硫酸浸出制备氢氧化镍钴的技术路线[6],浸出过程中Ni、Co、Fe都被溶解于溶液中,通过化学沉淀法将浸出液中铁离子选择性沉淀后得到富镍钴溶液,用于制备氢氧化镍钴。
目前从溶液中除铁的常用方法是化学沉淀法(包括黄铁矾法、针铁矿法、赤铁矿法、中和沉淀法等)[7-8]、磁铁矿法、磷酸盐法等。随着磷酸铁锂材料的发展,作为前驱体材料的磷酸铁需求增加[9],研究人员使用磷酸盐法去除溶液中的铁[10-12],以期得到FePO4,该方法利用FePO4溶解度远小于其他金属磷酸盐的性质,从而将Fe3+选择性地从溶液中脱除。
本文以镍钴铁粉“硫酸+过氧化氢”体系常压浸出液为研究对象,经电位调整后用中和沉淀法优先去除溶液中的铝和铬,净化液用磷酸除铁,该方法的铁去除率高,镍、钴损失率小,在实现铁与镍、钴选择性分离的同时还实现了铁的增值化利用,为镍钴铁粉的高效利用提供了新思路。
镍钴铁粉经硫酸+过氧化氢体系浸出后获得富镍钴铁溶液,浸出液中各元素质量浓度见表1。浸出液中含有大量铁,其以Fe2+和Fe3+形式存在于溶液中。同时浸出液中还含有Ni、Co、Al和Cr等其他离子。
浸出液制备磷酸铁工艺路线如图1所示。先将浸出液加热至85 ℃,使用pH计持续监测溶液pH值,将镍钴铁粉+铁粉加入溶液中,至浸出液中Fe3+全部被还原成Fe2+,中止反应,抽滤得到电位调整后液;取50 mL电位调整后液至150 mL烧杯中,加入3 mol/L氢氧化钠溶液至目标pH值,在一定温度下反应一段时间后,停止加热搅拌,抽滤得到除铝、铬后液;取50 mL除铝、铬后液至150 mL烧杯中,加入与溶液中铁离子物质的量比1∶1的17%磷酸溶液,充分混合后使用蠕动泵缓慢加入与溶液中亚铁离子物质的量比1∶0.6的3%过氧化氢溶液至Fe2+全部氧化为Fe3+后,使用3 mol/L氢氧化钠溶液调整溶液至目标pH值时开始计时,在一定温度下反应一段时间后,抽滤得到沉铁后液和沉淀产物。
浸出液中铁以Fe2+和Fe3+形式存在,因此在中和沉淀法去除铝和铬之前需对浸出液进行电位调整,使用镍钴铁粉将溶液中的Fe3+全部还原成Fe2+。电位调整后液中各离子质量浓度见表2
从浸出液中合成磷酸铁产品的质量很大程度上取决于Al3+和Cr3+这2个杂质元素的去除程度,Fe2+可以与Al3+和Cr3+通过中和沉淀法实现分离。在反应温度45 ℃、反应时间30 min、搅拌速率300 r/min条件下,考察了沉淀pH值对去除率的影响,结果如图2所示。由图2可知,随着pH值升高,Al、Cr去除率增加,Fe损失率变化不明显。pH=3时,Al、Cr去除率分别为6.63%、8.46%,Fe损失率为1.69%。pH=4时,Al、Cr去除率分别为76.36%、86.64%,Fe损失率为2.82%。pH=4远小于Fe2+的沉淀pH值,理论上不会造成Fe2+的大量损失,但铁损失率却达到了2.82%,这可能是在空气中进行沉淀,会有部分Fe2+被空气中的氧气氧化成Fe3+,从而与Al3+一起沉淀。pH=4.5时,Al、Cr去除率均达到100%,Fe损失率3.17%。为了保证Al和Cr去除率,反应pH值选择4.5。
在反应时间30 min、反应pH值4.5、搅拌速率300 r/min条件下,考察了反应温度对去除率的影响,结果如图3所示。由图3可知,随着温度升高,Al和Cr去除率变化不大,但Fe损失率明显增加,这是因为在较高温度下,Fe2+更易被氧化成Fe3+,从而造成Fe的损失,同时Fe(OH)3的产生也会增加其他元素的损失。适宜的反应温度为25 ℃。
在反应温度25 ℃、反应pH值4.5、搅拌速率300 r/min条件下,考察了反应时间对去除率的影响,结果如图4所示。由图4可知,随着时间延长,Al和Cr去除率变化不大,但Fe损失率明显增加,这主要是Fe3+的生成导致的。在保证Al和Cr去除率的情况下应尽可能减少其他金属离子的损失,确定适宜的反应时间为10 min,该条件下Al和Cr去除率分别为100%和97.15%,Fe损失率为2.42%。
根据单因素实验确定适宜的除铝、铬参数为:反应pH值4.5、反应时间10 min、反应温度25 ℃。此条件下批量制备了除铝、铬后液,同时使用硫酸溶液调整其pH值至2以下,此时该溶液主要元素质量浓度见表3
去除Al和Cr之后的溶液为Fe2+/Ni2+/Co2+共存体系,使用H2O2将Fe2+氧化成Fe3+后加入磷酸选择性沉淀Fe3+以获得磷酸铁。
在搅拌速率300 r/min、沉淀温度25 ℃、沉淀时间30 min条件下,探究了沉淀pH值对沉淀率的影响,结果如图5所示。从图5可知,随着沉淀pH值上升,Fe沉淀率明显增加,Ni、Co损失率小幅增加,这可能是生成的大量磷酸铁颗粒与这些离子的碰撞与吸附概率变高导致的。为了保证磷酸铁产品的品质,同时减少有价金属的损失,沉淀pH值选择2.1。
pH=2.1、沉淀时间30 min、搅拌速率300 r/min条件下,探究了沉淀温度对沉淀率的影响,结果如图6所示。由图6可知,随着温度升高,Fe沉淀率及Ni、Co损失率均有所升高。适宜的沉淀温度为25 ℃。
pH=2.1、沉淀温度25 ℃、搅拌速率300 r/min条件下,探究了沉淀时间对沉淀率的影响,结果如图7所示。由图7可知,沉淀时间对各元素沉淀率影响不显著。沉淀10 min时,Fe沉淀率为97.30%,Ni和Co分别损失0.36%和0.64%。确定适宜的沉淀时间为10 min。
确定适宜的沉铁参数为:pH=2.1、沉淀时间10 min、沉淀温度25 ℃。在该条件下进行了批量实验[13],得到沉淀产物和除铁后液,除铁后液中各元素质量浓度见表4,沉淀产物XRD检测结果见图8,SEM图谱及粒度分布见图9
图8可见,XRD图谱在28°左右有一个“馒头峰”,说明该产物不具有完整的晶型结构。由图9(a)可以看出,磷酸铁为不规则的片状颗粒,有明显的颗粒团聚,且颗粒大小相差明显;从图9(b)可以进一步看出,颗粒粒度分布不均匀,这可能是在较低温度下,在沉淀pH值条件下磷酸铁颗粒瞬间产生,但并无生长条件,所得颗粒大小不均。
工业使用的磷酸铁电池主要有两种类型,分别为无水磷酸铁和二水磷酸铁。有研究表明,无定形的水合磷酸铁在700 ℃下脱水可转变为无水磷酸铁,因此将沉淀产物在700 ℃下煅烧2 h,得到的煅烧产物XRD图谱如图10所示。可以看出经700 ℃煅烧后的磷酸铁具有明显特征峰,与FePO4的标准PDF#04-009-5619对比可以确定其为FePO4晶体。煅烧得到的FePO4晶体主要元素及杂质含量见表5。从表5可知,煅烧后的FePO4中Fe和P元素的含量均在标准HG/T 4701—2021Ⅰ型范围内,且铁磷比(Fe∶P)为1,其他杂质元素含量也在标准要求的范围之内。
25 ℃下,先将沉铁后液pH值调整至5,除去溶液中剩余的Fe和Cr,反应30 min后过滤得到滤液,进一步调整滤液pH值至10,反应30 min后过滤得到氢氧化镍钴(MHP)。MHP主要元素含量见表6。可以发现干基MHP中Ni含量为41.54%,Co和Mn含量分别为2.46%和7.03%,同时还含有1.07%的Mg,其余杂质含量都很低,可以直接作为生产硫酸镍的原料。
1)浸出液中铁以Fe2+和Fe3+形式存在,同时还含有Al3+、Cr3+、Ni2+和Co2+,需要经过电位调整再使用中和沉淀法将铁和铝选择性脱除,磷酸盐沉淀法可以实现Fe3+与Co2+、Ni2+和Mn2+的选择性分离。
2)在pH=4.5、反应温度25 ℃、反应时间10 min条件下,Al和Cr去除率分别为100%和97.15%,Fe损失率2.42%,达到了优先沉淀Al和Cr的目的。在沉淀pH=2.1、沉淀时间10 min、沉淀温度25 ℃条件下,Fe沉淀率为97.30%,Ni和Co损失率分别为0.36%和0.64%。
3)沉淀产物为无定形且带结晶水的磷酸铁,经700 ℃焙烧后转变为无水FePO4,杂质含量和铁磷比符合HG/T 4701—2021中Ⅰ型无水磷酸铁的标准。沉铁后所得的富镍钴溶液经过一步除杂制备氢氧化镍钴,氢氧化镍钴(干基)中Ni质量分数为41.54%,而Co和Mn质量分数分别为2.46%和7.03%。
