Hydrothermal carbon generated by hydrothermal carbonization of waste jujube branches was activated with zinc chloride as an activator, and a kind of modified biochar was prepared with highly porous and aromatic structure on its surface, which was then used to adsorb Zn2+ in aqueous solution. It is shown that for the solution with pH of 9 and initial Zn2+ concentration of 30 mg/L, after 80 min adsorption at a temperature of 55 ℃ by adding 700 mg/L modified biochar, the removal rate of Zn2+ therein exceeds 99%. The adsorption process is well-fitted to the Freundlich adsorption model, indicating that the adsorption process with the modified biochar is a multilayer molecular adsorption. The removal rate of Zn2+ by the modified biochar, after 5 cycles of adsorption and desorption, can still remain over 97%.

通过水热碳化枣树枝生成水热炭,以氯化锌为活化剂对水热炭进行活化,得到枣树枝改性生物炭,所得生物炭表面具有丰富的孔结构及高度芳香化结构。以枣树枝改性生物炭为吸附剂吸附溶液中Zn2+,在吸附时间80 min、溶液pH=9、改性生物炭投加量700 mg/L、反应温度55 ℃、Zn2+初始浓度30 mg/L条件下,Zn2+去除率达到99%以上;吸附过程与Freundlich吸附模型拟合度高,表明改性生物炭对Zn2+的吸附过程为多层分子吸附;改性生物炭经5次循环吸附与解吸后,对Zn2+去除率仍在97%以上。

通过水热碳化枣树枝生成水热炭,以氯化锌为活化剂对水热炭进行活化,得到枣树枝改性生物炭,所得生物炭表面具有丰富的孔结构及高度芳香化结构。以枣树枝改性生物炭为吸附剂吸附溶液中Zn2+,在吸附时间80 min、溶液pH=9、改性生物炭投加量700 mg/L、反应温度55 ℃、Zn2+初始浓度30 mg/L条件下,Zn2+去除率达到99%以上;吸附过程与Freundlich吸附模型拟合度高,表明改性生物炭对Zn2+的吸附过程为多层分子吸附;改性生物炭经5次循环吸附与解吸后,对Zn2+去除率仍在97%以上。

Hydrothermal carbon generated by hydrothermal carbonization of waste jujube branches was activated with zinc chloride as an activator, and a kind of modified biochar was prepared with highly porous and aromatic structure on its surface, which was then used to adsorb Zn2+ in aqueous solution. It is shown that for the solution with pH of 9 and initial Zn2+ concentration of 30 mg/L, after 80 min adsorption at a temperature of 55 ℃ by adding 700 mg/L modified biochar, the removal rate of Zn2+ therein exceeds 99%. The adsorption process is well-fitted to the Freundlich adsorption model, indicating that the adsorption process with the modified biochar is a multilayer molecular adsorption. The removal rate of Zn2+ by the modified biochar, after 5 cycles of adsorption and desorption, can still remain over 97%.

随着社会对锌需求量增加,锌的生产量和消费量迅速增加。电力工厂及其输送网络、机场、桥梁、道路等场地均需要使用大量镀锌材料。在锌材料生产过程中会产生大量锌冶炼废水[1-3],含锌废水具有持久性强、毒性强的特点,对人体和工农业生产具有严重危害性,一旦进入循环系统将很难被生物降解,大多数参与了食物链循环,并且最终积累在生物体内,破坏其正常生理代谢活动,危害动植物健康。
目前含锌废水处理方法主要有电解法[4-5]、硫化物沉淀法[6-8]、离子交换法[9]、膜分离技术[10-12]、吸附法[13-16]等。电解法适用于处理高浓度的锌离子废水,但该方法无法将锌离子浓度降到很低,并且消耗电能、水资源巨大,投资成本高且出水率低。硫化物沉淀法是在弱碱性条件下利用硫化剂使废水中的锌离子形成硫化物沉淀而除去,虽然成本低廉,但难以控制硫化物使用量,容易引起二次污染,而且过量的硫与某些重金属离子会形成溶于水的络合离子,反而降低处理效果。离子交换法和膜分离技术则适用于高浓度锌离子废水的处理,其设备要求较高、投资成本大。
吸附法能够适应各种不同重金属废水处理需求,无论废水中重金属离子浓度高低、废水水质变化情况如何,通过选择适当的吸附剂,吸附法可以实现对重金属离子的高效去除。吸附法还能够有效去除废水中其他有害物质,提高废水处理效果。此外,吸附剂在处理重金属废水过程中不会产生新的有害物质,避免了二次污染问题。同时,还可以通过一定的解吸方法从吸附剂中将重金属离子释放出来,实现重金属资源有效回收和再利用,这样不仅可以降低处理成本,还能实现资源的可持续利用。
活性炭具有优越的吸附性,目前用作制备活性炭的生物质废弃物有蔗渣废料、玉米芯、咖啡渣、橙皮、棉花废弃物、玉米秸秆、番茄废弃物、大麦秸秆等。由于枣树枝具有较高的碳含量及较低的灰分含量,可以用于制备活性炭,但目前鲜有这方面的报道。我国枣树枝以焚烧、堆放处理为主,资源利用率低。枣树枝改性制备生物炭,并应用于锌冶炼废水处理,一方面扩大了活性炭的原料来源,另一方面减少了废弃物处理成本,具有一定研究价值。
实验用枣树枝取自北方某林场,其生物质工业分析结果见表1。由表1可知,枣树枝生物质中有较高含量的挥发性有机物和固定碳。
配制Zn2+浓度分别为10 mg/L、20 mg/L、30 mg/L、40 mg/L、50 mg/L的锌离子溶液,并调节溶液pH值为7.0,备用。
实验所用仪器包括马弗炉(XZL-6)、扫描电镜(S4800)、傅里叶红外光谱仪(NICOLET 380)、数显恒温水浴锅(DZKW-4)、反应釜(KF1000L)等。
1)原料准备:将枣树枝粉碎至60目(0.25 mm),烘干,于常温干燥条件下储藏,备用;取枣树枝粉末10质量份,加入100质量份的去离子水中,倒入高温高压反应釜中充分混合,将反应釜放入箱式电阻炉中,固定拧紧。
2)检查装置气密性:密封反应釜,充入氮气排空反应釜内部空气;然后继续充入氮气,使反应釜内压力为4 MPa,保持10 min,检查反应装置气密性。
3)置换空气:反应装置气密性检查合格后,释放反应釜中氮气,再充入氮气,使釜内压力达到4 MPa后,排空氮气,反复进行充排气3次,然后保持充气速率与排气速率相同,边充边排5 min后,关闭充气阀,待排空氮气后,关闭排气阀;最后充入氮气,保持釜内压力4 MPa。
4)水热碳化反应:充气完毕后,开启搅拌器,搅拌速度保持300 r/min;对反应釜升温加热,温度为250 ℃,按照设定反应水平进行水热碳化反应。
5)水热炭的收集:水热碳化反应完成后,停止对反应釜加热,打开内部冷却水循环装置、冷风机对反应釜降温,冷却至室温;打开反应釜,收集反应釜内混合物,通过真空抽滤,得到不溶物,放入电热鼓风干燥箱脱水8~24 h,烘干得到水热炭粉。
6)活化:将水热炭粉放入烧杯,以氯化锌为活化剂,加入去离子水,搅拌30 min,然后放入反应釜进行活化反应。氯化锌浓度为0.7 mol/L,活化温度200 ℃,活化时间10 h,此条件下即得到目标产物——改性生物炭吸附材料。
Zn2+去除率按下式计算:
式中r为去除率,%;C0为Zn2+初始浓度,mg/L;Ce为平衡时Zn2+浓度,mg/L。
采用SEM测定水热炭及改性生物炭的表面形貌;采用FTIR红外光谱测定改性生物炭的官能团。
称取5份100 mg枣树枝改性生物炭,分别加入500 mL Zn2+浓度分别为10 mg/L、20 mg/L、30 mg/L、40 mg/L、50 mg/L的溶液中,反应温度45 ℃,吸附时间80 min,考察改性生物炭对含锌溶液的吸附效率,并分别用Langmuir模型和Freundlich模型对吸附数据进行拟合。

式中Qe为平衡吸附容量,mg/g;Qm为理论最大吸附容量,mg/g;a为Langmuir模型吸附常数,L/mg,它表示吸附剂对离子的亲和能力。
Freundlich方程:

式中b和1/n均为Freundlich模型吸附常数,分别代表吸附剂吸附容量(L/mg)和吸附强度。
枣树枝水热炭及其改性生物炭SEM图像如图1所示。由图1可知,经氯化锌活化后的生物炭具有丰富的海绵状孔结构,具有高比表面积,为吸附质的扩散提供了快速通道和吸附表面。
枣树枝改性生物炭的红外光谱如图2所示。从图2可以看出,枣树枝改性生物炭的红外光谱吸收峰出现在3 419 cm-1,2 918 cm-1,1 700 cm-1,1 580 cm-1附近,表明其表面存在—OH基、烷烃甲基和亚甲基—C—H2、—C—H3、芳香族酸的—COOH基、,具有高度芳香化结构,表明枣树枝改性生物炭具有从废水中去除重金属的巨大潜力。
溶液pH=7、改性生物炭投加量600 mg/L、反应温度45 ℃、Zn2+初始浓度30 mg/L条件下,考察了吸附时间对Zn2+去除率的影响,结果如图3所示。
图3可见,吸附反应的前80 min,改性生物炭对Zn2+的去除率随吸附时间延长而增大;80 min后,Zn2+去除率上升不再明显。反应开始时,改性生物炭吸附位点多,且溶液中Zn2+浓度大,改性生物炭与Zn2+接触的机会大,因此吸附速率快。随着吸附反应的进行,吸附位点被占据,同时溶液中Zn2+浓度下降,Zn2+去除率增加变慢。选择吸附时间80 min,此时Zn2+去除率为88.6%。
吸附时间80 min,其他条件不变,溶液pH值对Zn2+去除率的影响如图4所示。
图4可见,溶液pH值会影响改性生物炭对Zn2+的吸附能力。酸性条件下,H+较多,降低了改性生物炭对Zn2+的吸附能力。当溶液pH=5时,对Zn2+去除率仅46.6%;随着溶液pH值升高,溶液中H+越来越少,改性生物炭的活性位点越来越多,增强了对Zn2+的吸附能力,Zn2+去除率增大;溶液pH=9时,Zn2+去除率增至96.4%;溶液pH值继续上升,Zn2+去除率增大不明显。因此,选择溶液pH=9。
溶液pH=9,其他条件不变,改性生物炭投加量对Zn2+去除率的影响如图5所示。
图5可见,增加改性生物炭投加量,Zn2+去除率逐渐增大,改性生物炭投加量700 mg/L时,Zn2+去除率达98.6%,继续增大改性生物炭投加量,Zn2+去除率基本保持不变。因此,选择改性生物炭投加量700 mg/L。
改性生物炭投加量700 mg/L,其他条件不变,反应温度对Zn2+去除率的影响如图6所示。
图6可见,反应温度升高,Zn2+去除率增加,反应温度达到55 ℃时,Zn2+去除率达到99.1%,温度继续升高时,Zn2+去除率无明显变化。故选择反应温度55 ℃。
反应温度55 ℃,其他条件不变,Zn2+初始浓度对Zn2+去除率的影响如图7所示。
图7可见,Zn2+初始浓度低于30 mg/L时,Zn2+去除率均高于99%;Zn2+初始浓度为30 mg/L时,Zn2+去除率为99.1%;Zn2+初始浓度继续升高,Zn2+去除率明显下降。因此,选择Zn2+初始浓度30 mg/L。
通过单因素实验,得到吸附反应优化条件为:吸附时间80 min、溶液pH=9、改性生物炭投加量700 mg/L、反应温度55 ℃、Zn2+初始浓度30 mg/L,此时,Zn2+去除率达到99.5%。
改性生物炭对Zn2+的等温吸附Langmuir模型及等温吸附Freundlich模型拟合结果分别如图8图9表2所示。
表2可知,Freundlich吸附模型拟合曲线的R2值为0.995 4,高于Langmuir吸附模型拟合曲线的R2值0.946 8,所以本实验采用Freundlich吸附模型进行实验结果分析。在Freundlich吸附模型中,吸附常数b=18.754,1/n=0.320 5,表明Freundlich吸附模型可以适当描述等温过程,说明改性生物炭对Zn2+的吸附过程为多层分子吸附,且对Zn2+吸附是稳定的。
使用盐酸作为解吸剂,研究了枣树枝改性生物炭的循环使用性能,结果如图10所示。由图10可见,经过多次循环吸附与解吸后,改性生物炭对Zn2+吸附率有所降低,但降低并不明显,5次循环后,Zn2+去除率仍保持在97%以上,说明改性生物炭适宜处理含锌废水。
1)氯化锌改性枣树枝生物炭具有丰富的海绵状孔结构及高度芳香化结构,对Zn2+的吸附性能好,饱和吸附率高;吸附过程与Freundlich吸附模型等温线拟合较好,表明改性生物炭对Zn2+的吸附过程为多层分子吸附。
2)氯化锌改性枣树枝生物炭在吸附时间80 min、溶液pH=9、改性生物炭投加量700 mg/L、反应温度55 ℃、Zn2+浓度30 mg/L条件下,Zn2+去除率达到99%以上。
3)氯化锌改性枣树枝生物炭经5次循环吸附与解吸后,对Zn2+仍能保持97%以上的去除率,证明改性生物炭适宜处理含锌废水。
