Based on the experience from production practices, an orthogonal experiment was performed by simulating a grate-rotary kiln process to investigate factors affecting compressive strength of preheated pellets and also find measures to improve the process. It is found that both OA iron ore and OB iron ore are fine-grained, with -0.074 mm grain content greater than 85%, which meets the basic requirements for particle size in pelletizing process. With 90% OA iron ore blended with 10% OB iron ore, the obtained pellet after drying and preheating process can have FeO content reduced from 26% to less than 4%, with the oxidation degree greater than 85%. With the following optimal thermal parameters of chain grate, including a drying temperature of 200 ℃ for air blowing and a drying temperature of 360 ℃ for ventilation, 720 ℃ for I-stage preheating and 990 ℃ for II-stage preheating, the obtained preheated pellet can have a compressive strength of 1 056 N/pellet. It is verified that the experimental result is in accordance with the anticipation.

为了改善预热球团矿的抗压强度,结合生产实践经验,模拟链篦机-回转窑工艺制度,采用正交实验法分析了影响预热球团矿抗压强度的因素及工艺改进措施。结果表明,OA矿和OB矿粒度较细,-0.074 mm粒级含量大于85%,能满足造球粒度基本要求;90%OA矿搭配10%OB矿时,经过干燥、预热工艺段,球团矿FeO含量可以从26%降低到4%以下,氧化度大于85%;提高预热球团矿抗压强度的适宜链篦机热工参数为:鼓风干燥温度200 ℃、抽风干燥温度360 ℃、预热Ⅰ段温度720 ℃、预热Ⅱ段温度990 ℃,此条件下预热球团矿抗压强度可达1 056 N/球;验证实验符合预期结果。

为了改善预热球团矿的抗压强度,结合生产实践经验,模拟链篦机-回转窑工艺制度,采用正交实验法分析了影响预热球团矿抗压强度的因素及工艺改进措施。结果表明,OA矿和OB矿粒度较细,-0.074 mm粒级含量大于85%,能满足造球粒度基本要求;90%OA矿搭配10%OB矿时,经过干燥、预热工艺段,球团矿FeO含量可以从26%降低到4%以下,氧化度大于85%;提高预热球团矿抗压强度的适宜链篦机热工参数为:鼓风干燥温度200 ℃、抽风干燥温度360 ℃、预热Ⅰ段温度720 ℃、预热Ⅱ段温度990 ℃,此条件下预热球团矿抗压强度可达1 056 N/球;验证实验符合预期结果。

Based on the experience from production practices, an orthogonal experiment was performed by simulating a grate-rotary kiln process to investigate factors affecting compressive strength of preheated pellets and also find measures to improve the process. It is found that both OA iron ore and OB iron ore are fine-grained, with -0.074 mm grain content greater than 85%, which meets the basic requirements for particle size in pelletizing process. With 90% OA iron ore blended with 10% OB iron ore, the obtained pellet after drying and preheating process can have FeO content reduced from 26% to less than 4%, with the oxidation degree greater than 85%. With the following optimal thermal parameters of chain grate, including a drying temperature of 200 ℃ for air blowing and a drying temperature of 360 ℃ for ventilation, 720 ℃ for I-stage preheating and 990 ℃ for II-stage preheating, the obtained preheated pellet can have a compressive strength of 1 056 N/pellet. It is verified that the experimental result is in accordance with the anticipation.

在双碳战略的大背景下,钢铁行业必须低碳、绿色发展[1-2],球团矿在高炉炉料结构中的作用凸显,配加比例也日渐提高,在现代高炉冶炼中,球团矿已经成为一种不可缺少的优质炉料[3-4]。我国国内铁精矿产量不能满足球团矿的正常生产需求,国内钢铁企业纷纷将眼光投向进口铁精矿,尤其是沿海地区钢铁厂,由于具有得天独厚的运输优势,利用进口铁精矿生产球团矿是实现企业降本增效的有效途径。
进口铁精矿一般铁品位高、有害杂质低,有利于球团矿质量和性能改善。针对进口铁精矿在球团工艺的合理利用,国内外学者进行了大量研究[5-10]。已有研究结果表明,不同种类的进口铁精矿,基础理化性能存在差异,导致其成球性能和预热焙烧性能表现出不同特性[11-13],因此,与之相匹配的热工制度也不同。本文以某进口铁精矿为主要原料,模拟链篦机-回转窑工艺制度,探索改善预热球氧化效果的工艺措施,从而提高预热球团矿抗压强度,研究成果可为进口铁精矿在链篦机-回转窑工艺的合理利用提供理论依据。
以S钢150万吨链篦机-回转窑所用铁精矿为主要试验原料,含铁原料有2种,分别为OA矿(来自澳大利亚)和OB矿(来自智利)。两种铁精矿主要化学成分见表1。膨润土化学成分见表2
表1可知:①OB矿TFe品位较高,为66.18%,配加OB矿有利于提高球团矿TFe品位。②两种铁精矿FeO品位均大于20%,TFe/FeO比小于2.7,为原生磁铁矿。③SiO2是高炉冶炼的有害成分,SiO2含量高会增加球团矿渣量、降低TFe品位,一般国内酸性球团矿SiO2含量应不超过6%,以实现高炉低渣量、低燃料比的冶炼效果[14-15]。OB矿SiO2含量较低,小于3%;而OA矿SiO2含量大于7%,限制了其在球团工艺的大比例配加。
OA矿和OB矿-0.074 mm粒级含量均大于85%,能满足球团造球原料粒度基本要求。一般而言,对于同一种铁精矿,其粒度越细,比表面积越大;但对于不同铁精矿,并非粒度越细比表面积就越大,例如,OA矿比表面积为1 268 cm2/g,OB矿比表面积仅900 cm2/g;OA矿比表面积大,具有较大的表面自由能,提高OA矿配比有利于改善制粒成球性能。
表2可知,膨润土质量指标可基本满足造球性能要求。
1)铁精矿预处理。造球前将实验用铁精矿在烘干箱内80 ℃条件下干燥,脱除水分,待烘干后用0.50 mm筛子筛除杂物颗粒;根据研究方案,将铁精矿和膨润土按照设计方案混匀。
2)造球。在直径1.0 m、倾角45°、转速35 r/min的造球盘中造球,控制母球形成时间3 min,生球长大时间8 min,生球压实时间10 min,并以实际生产为参考,在造球过程中加入水分,加水过程依据“滴水成球、雾水长大、无水压实”的原则,水分加入量控制为7.0%~8.5%。
3)质量检测。筛取10~12 mm合格粒度的生球进行性能(抗压强度、落下强度、爆裂温度)检测。
4)模拟链篦机-回转窑实际生产工艺参数进行球团矿的干燥、预热、焙烧、冷却过程,并检测成品球团矿的质量指标。
在实际生产中,链篦机预热球团矿“黑芯”结构现象出现较多,严重影响和制约着预热球团矿及成品球团矿抗压强度的提高[15-17]。为了提高预热球团矿氧化度,减少预热球团矿“黑芯”夹层现象,按照90%OA+10%OB配置试验原料,探究改善预热球团矿氧化效果、提高预热球团矿抗压强度的工艺优化措施。根据链篦机热工参数实际可控范围,设计四因素三水平正交实验,实验方案见表3
为了模拟链篦机-回转窑实际工艺制度,根据链篦机长度及生产过程中的机速控制要求,设定鼓风干燥时间为4 min,抽风干燥时间为5 min,预热Ⅰ段时间为5 min,预热Ⅱ段时间为8 min;回转窑焙烧段温度为1 270 ℃,焙烧时间为21 min。
根据试验方案,调整链篦机干燥段、预热段温度,以预热球团矿抗压强度为考核指标,开展不同链篦机热工制度的正交实验研究,结果见表4,方差分析结果见表5
表4可知,抽风干燥段球团矿抗压强度为40~50 N/球,氧化程度较低;经预热后,抗压强度显著提高到827~1 138 N/球,焙烧后抗压强度可达2 600 N/球以上。保持较高的预热Ⅱ段温度,有利于提高预热球团矿抗压强度,当预热Ⅱ段温度提高到990 ℃时,不仅可以促进球团中磁铁矿颗粒氧化形成赤铁矿,而且有利于赤铁矿微晶的长大及连接。
由极差分析结果可知,RB>RA>RD>RC,可知干燥段温度对预热球团矿抗压强度影响较大,预热段温度影响次之。这是由于采用较高的抽风干燥温度(360 ℃),可以使生球水分快速蒸发,避免经过温度较高的预热Ⅰ段时,由于生球内外温差高而使球团矿内部产生裂纹,从而影响预热球团矿抗压强度。可见,抽风干燥过程尤为重要,干燥段水分的快速脱除是预热段磁铁矿氧化和赤铁矿微晶固结的前提条件。
表4可以确定实验因素的最优水平和最优水平组合:鼓风干燥温度200 ℃、抽风干燥温度360 ℃、预热Ⅰ段温度720 ℃、预热Ⅱ段温度990 ℃。
表5可见,4个因素对预热球团矿抗压强度的影响在95%的置信区间内均未表现出显著性,但可以通过比较P值的相对大小来判断各因素对指标影响的相对顺序为:因素B>因素A>因素D>因素C。这与极差分析结果一致。由此说明,抽风干燥温度影响最大,在实验条件下,确保较好的生球干燥效果是提高预热球团矿抗压强度的重要基础。
根据极差分析以及方差分析结果,可得4个因素的最优水平组合为A2B3C3D3,根据该优化热工制度开展了验证实验,验证实验所得试样(Y-验证试样)的性能如表6所示,球团矿FeO累计氧化度与抗压强度的关系如图1所示。

表6结果可得,Y-验证试样不仅预热Ⅱ段球团矿抗压强度较高,而且抽风干燥段和焙烧段球团矿的抗压强度也较为理想。这是由于随着工艺段的推进,球团矿氧化越来越充分,FeO含量逐步降低,抗压强度逐步提高。干燥段(包括鼓风干燥段和抽风干燥段)对球团矿氧化程度影响很小,主要作用是脱除生球中的水分。预热段对球团矿氧化程度影响较大,经过预热Ⅰ段后,球团矿FeO累计氧化度达到34.82%,FeO含量降至18.55%;经过预热Ⅱ段后,球团矿累计氧化度达到91.88%,FeO含量降至2.31%,抗压强度达到1 056 N/球;经过焙烧段后,球团矿累计氧化度达到98.24%,FeO含量小于0.5%,赤铁矿微晶连接完成。由此说明,磁铁矿球团氧化过程由球团表面向内部推进,采用优化后的链篦机工艺参数可促进球团矿氧化推进过程,减少“黑芯”面积,提高球团矿氧化度,有利于球团矿Fe2O3微晶键形成,从而改善预热球团矿抗压强度。可见,球团矿中磁铁矿的氧化主要是在预热Ⅱ段完成,而赤铁矿的再结晶和晶桥固结主要是在焙烧段完成。由球团氧化焙烧理论可知,预热段是发生Fe3O4氧化结晶的主要工艺段,比较预热Ⅰ段和预热Ⅱ段温度的影响可知,预热Ⅱ段对提高预热球抗压强度的作用较为显著[18-20]
以FeO累计氧化度x2为自变量,球团矿抗压强度Y为因变量,通过多项式拟合建立二者的关系,得到:Y=0.516 3x22-28.395x2+403.08,由图1可知,FeO累计氧化度越高(“黑芯”结构越小),越有利于球团矿抗压强度的提高。
球团矿的“黑芯”结构对抗压强度影响较大,“黑芯”结构越大,球团矿内部氧化程度越低,抗压强度也越低。而影响“黑芯”结构的重要因素是抽风干燥段温度,直接因素是预热Ⅱ段温度,干燥是否充分关系“黑芯”结构的大小,也是提高预热球团矿抗压强度的重要基础,控制较高的抽风干燥温度和预热Ⅱ段温度,是保证球团矿消除“黑芯”结构、促进球团矿氧化进程和提高抗压强度的前提条件。球团矿中磁铁矿在干燥段便开始氧化,但氧化程度较低,氧化从颗粒的表层开始,由Fe3O4转变为Fe2O3,生成Fe2O3微晶,在相邻的颗粒接触处,新生的Fe2O3微晶具有高度迁移能力,促使它们结合在一起形成微晶键,即“晶桥”。经过干燥段,新生的微晶键已具有一定的强度,使球团矿形成具有一定硬度的外壳,继续推进到预热段,由于温度升高,氧化逐步由表及里推进,表层Fe2O3晶桥再结晶程度持续提高,使得球团矿晶桥强度升高。随着工艺段的推进,氧化继续向中心扩展,直到全部氧化为赤铁矿,经过高温焙烧后,赤铁矿微晶长大并重新结晶,使颗粒结合形成牢固的整体,抗压强度显著提高。
采用矿相显微镜观察Y-1#~Y-9#、Y-验证试样预热球团矿矿相结构,结果见图25。每个样品选取4个视域进行分析,其中(a)、(b)为预热球团矿中心氧化不完全区域,(c)、(d)为预热球团矿边缘氧化较完全区域;H表示赤铁矿,S表示硅酸盐,P表示孔洞,M表示磁铁矿。
分析图25可知,不同热工制度下的预热球团矿矿相结构共同特点是边缘主要形成较致密的赤铁矿连晶结构,而中心存在较松散的磁铁矿“黑芯”结构。Y-1#、Y-7#试样中有较多分散的脉石颗粒存在,阻碍了中心磁铁矿的连晶和边缘赤铁矿的连晶发育,故预热球团矿强度不高;Y-2#、Y-8#试样的中心和边缘孔隙均较发育,Y-9#试样中心孔隙粗大,故预热球团矿抗压强度也不高。脉石、气孔含量与分布也是影响预热球团矿抗压强度的重要因素,脉石和气孔少、分布均匀,对于预热球团矿中心磁铁矿连晶和边缘赤铁矿连晶的发展具有重要意义。优化条件下制得的Y-验证试样,预热球团矿中心区域未氧化的磁铁矿含量明显减少,新生氧化后的Fe2O3连晶增多,预热球团矿抗压强度提高;成品球团矿矿相结构“黑芯”消失,焙烧后矿相结构成为一个致密整体,磁铁矿氧化程度高,Fe2O3晶粒连接成片,FeO含量降到0.5%以下,焙烧性能好,抗压强度高。
1)OA矿SiO2含量较高,为7.15%,在制作球团时不能大比例配加;OB矿TFe品位(66.18%)较高,SiO2含量较低,用该矿制作球团,有利于提高TFe含量、降低SiO2含量。OA和OB矿粒度较细,-0.074 mm粒级含量大于85%,满足球团成球性能基本要求。
2)随着链篦机-回转窑干燥、预热工艺段的推进,球团矿FeO含量降低,抗压强度提高,经过预热Ⅱ段后,球团矿FeO含量降至2.31%,累计氧化度达到91.88%,抗压强度达到1 056 N/球,此时球团矿的抗压强度归因于磁铁矿的氧化结晶和少量赤铁矿连晶。
3)球团矿氧化效果越好,“黑芯”结构越小,越有利于提高抗压强度。
4)提高预热球团矿抗压强度的关键因素是预热Ⅱ段温度(990 ℃),基础因素是抽风干燥温度(360 ℃)。验证试验结果表明,预热球团矿FeO含量为2.31%,抗压强度可达1 056 N/球,验证试验结果符合预期结果。
