With a flake graphite ore from Africa as the raw material, a beneficiation technique was adopted to recover graphite resource according to ore size fraction. The results show that the fixed carbon content of the graphite feed ore is 32.54%, and the large flake graphite mainly in sheet or banded structure is intergrown with feldspar minerals. The optimized roughing condition is determined as follows: grinding fineness of -0.074 mm 72.87%, kerosene dosage of 50 g/t and terpineol dosage of 150 g/t. A flotation process with one stage of roughing, one stage of scavenging and four stages of cleaning is adopted, in which the large flake graphite is screened from the flotation production of the 1st-stage of cleaning, while the undersize is treated further by three stages of grinding and three stages of cleaning to recover fine flake graphite. The closed-circuit test shows that the fixed carbon content in the large flake graphite (+0.150 mm) concentrate and the fine flake graphite (-0.150 mm) concentrate reaches 96.53% and 96.21%, respectively. The recovery rate of the large flake graphite reaches 22.74%, which is higher by 7.66 percentage points compared to that by conventional regrinding-separation approach.

以非洲某鳞片石墨为研究对象,开展了不同粒级石墨资源梯级回收工艺研究。结果表明,原矿固定碳含量为32.54%,其中大鳞片石墨主要呈片状或条带状结构与脉石矿物相互交代连生;粗选适宜条件为:磨矿细度-0.074 mm粒级占72.87%,煤油用量50 g/t,2#油用量150 g/t;浮选工艺为一粗一扫四精,其中粗精矿经精选1直接浮选后进行筛分分离出大鳞片石墨,筛下产物依次再进行三次磨矿三次精选获得细鳞片石墨。闭路试验结果显示,精矿中+0.150 mm大鳞片石墨和-0.150 mm细鳞片石墨固定碳含量分别达96.53%和96.21%,其中大鳞片石墨回收率达22.74%,比传统再磨再选工艺提高了7.66个百分点。

With a flake graphite ore from Africa as the raw material, a beneficiation technique was adopted to recover graphite resource according to ore size fraction. The results show that the fixed carbon content of the graphite feed ore is 32.54%, and the large flake graphite mainly in sheet or banded structure is intergrown with feldspar minerals. The optimized roughing condition is determined as follows: grinding fineness of -0.074 mm 72.87%, kerosene dosage of 50 g/t and terpineol dosage of 150 g/t. A flotation process with one stage of roughing, one stage of scavenging and four stages of cleaning is adopted, in which the large flake graphite is screened from the flotation production of the 1st-stage of cleaning, while the undersize is treated further by three stages of grinding and three stages of cleaning to recover fine flake graphite. The closed-circuit test shows that the fixed carbon content in the large flake graphite (+0.150 mm) concentrate and the fine flake graphite (-0.150 mm) concentrate reaches 96.53% and 96.21%, respectively. The recovery rate of the large flake graphite reaches 22.74%, which is higher by 7.66 percentage points compared to that by conventional regrinding-separation approach.

作为重要的战略资源,天然石墨以其优良的耐高温、耐腐蚀、润滑以及导电等性能广泛应用于化工、电气、机械、国防以及航空航天等领域[1-3],其中大鳞片石墨价值更高[4-5]。浮选是鳞片石墨最重要的富集方式之一[6-7]。常规阶段磨矿阶段浮选工艺可以大幅度降低精矿中硅酸盐、铝酸盐等伴生脉石矿物含量,但大鳞片石墨破坏严重以及细粒级矿物损失率较高等问题突出[8-10]。鉴于此,本文以非洲某典型鳞片石墨为研究对象,探索预分级浮选工艺,在改善浮选回收率的同时提高大鳞片石墨的保护率。
原矿来自非洲东南部某典型鳞片石墨矿区,化学多元素分析结果(见表1)显示其固定碳含量达32.54%,脉石矿物以SiO2、Al2O3为主,CaO及MgO等杂质含量较少,矿物总体利用价值较高。XRD分析结果表明,原矿中石墨主要以晶质石墨形式存在,脉石矿物以长石为主。
SEM镜像分析结果显示石墨以大鳞片和小鳞片两种形式存在,前者呈片状或条带状结构与脉石矿物相互交代连生,后者则与脉石矿物呈浸染放射状共生。因此,需要重点考虑矿物磨矿细度对不同粒级鳞片石墨资源综合回收的影响。
试验所用捕收剂煤油以及起泡剂2#油均为工业品试剂;试验用水为自来水。试验设备包括XMQ-Ф240×90锥形球磨机(武汉洛克粉碎设备制造有限公司)、XFD-1.5L型单槽浮选机(武汉洛克粉碎设备制造有限公司)、D/MAX-RB型X射线衍射仪(XRD,日本理学公司)、Zetium型X射线荧光光谱仪(XRF,马尔文帕纳科公司)、Sigma 300型电子扫描电镜(SEM,蔡司公司)。
通过磨矿实现石墨与脉石矿物单体解离是石墨富集的前提,然而物料过磨也会破坏石墨鳞片结构从而降低产品附加值。在捕收剂柴油用量50 g/t、起泡剂2#油用量100 g/t情况下,考察了粗磨时间对石墨解离程度及浮选的影响,结果分别见表2图1
表2可知,磨矿时间2.5 min时,+0.150 mm粗粒级物料中固定碳含量仅83.06%,但分布率高达24.77%;磨矿时间5 min时,+0.150 mm物料中固定碳含量急剧增至93.70%,此时分布率仅降低了1.33个百分点;磨矿时间7.5 min时,+0.150 mm粗粒级固定碳含量为94.72%,但对应分布率急剧降至12.88%,这也表明大鳞片石墨损失严重;磨矿时间进一步增加至10 min,+0.150 mm粗粒级分布率仅9.12%,同时-0.074 mm微细粒物料中固定碳含量和分布率分别增至23.63%和57.55%,表明大鳞片石墨过磨现象严重。
图1可见,磨矿时间由2.5 min增至5 min,精矿固定碳含量从71.60%增至75.35%,此时对应的回收率由95.63%降至94.53%;随着磨矿时间进一步延长,矿物过磨现象严重,导致精矿固定碳含量和回收率呈现双双下降趋势。综合分析,确定磨矿时间5 min较为合适,此时精矿固定碳含量和回收率分别为75.35%和94.53%。
石墨为典型的天然疏水性矿物,浮选过程通常选用柴油、煤油以及烷烃等非极性捕收剂。磨矿时间5 min、起泡剂2#油用量100 g/t,探索了柴油用量对石墨浮选效果的影响,结果如图2所示。
图2可知,随着柴油用量从30 g/t增至50 g/t,精矿固定碳含量从77.80%降至77.56%,但回收率由88.23%急剧增加至92.59%;柴油用量200 g/t时,精矿固定碳含量75.55%、回收率93.52%。由此可见,进一步增加柴油用量,对石墨浮选的影响并不显著。综合考虑选矿成本和选矿指标,适宜的捕收剂柴油用量为50 g/t,对应精矿固定碳含量和回收率分别为77.56%和92.59%。
适度的泡沫量是维系矿化气泡稳定以及改善浮选精矿品位及提高回收率的重要保障。磨矿时间5 min、捕收剂柴油用量50 g/t,探索了2#油用量对石墨浮选效果的影响,结果见图3
图3可知,随着2#油用量从50 g/t逐步增加至200 g/t,精矿泡沫中脉石矿物夹带现象越来越明显,固定碳含量从82.57%急剧下降到76.76%;同时,增加2#油用量也进一步强化了矿化气泡的稳定性,例如2#油用量50 g/t时回收率仅50.42%,2#油用量提高到150 g/t时,对应回收率急剧增加至94.98%;但随着2#油用量进一步增加,回收率变化不再显著。综合考虑,适宜的起泡剂2#油用量为150 g/t,对应石墨精矿固定碳含量和回收率分别为77.54%和94.98%。
扫选的目的在于进一步回收矿浆中的有用矿物,但增加扫选次数无疑也会增加浮选工艺的复杂程度。不添加任何药剂,分别对比研究了一段扫选和两段扫选对石墨回收效果的影响,结果如表3所示。
表3可知,采用一段扫选工艺,扫选尾矿固定碳含量1.21%、回收率1.98%;采用两段扫选工艺,尾矿固定碳含量和回收率分别为1.01%和1.59%。总体而言,两段扫选优势并不显著。综合考虑,采用一次扫选工艺。
粗选精矿的再处理包括直接精选与再磨(-0.074 mm粒级占84.15%)-再选两种方案,其中石墨与脉石矿物的充分解离以及石墨产品高值化回收是两个重要影响因素。两种工艺选矿指标结果见表4
表4可知,再磨-再选工艺中精矿产率和回收率分别达到35.57%和96.91%,分别比直接精选工艺高3.08和3.69个百分点。但再磨-再选工艺中+0.150 mm粒级石墨精矿产率仅4.30%,较直接精选低3.60个百分点,粒级回收率比直接精选低10.97个百分点。由此说明,再磨-再选工艺虽然可以得到较高的石墨回收率,但+0.150 mm粒级大鳞片石墨破坏严重。鉴于此,有必要考虑粗精矿直接精选,同时精选产品及时分离+0.150 mm粒级石墨,有效保护大鳞片石墨。
为进一步研究该鳞片石墨浮选行为,分别开展了常规再磨再选与再磨再选梯级分离工艺对比试验。
常规再磨再选工艺包括一次粗选一次扫选四次精选,每次精选产品再磨3 min后依次给入下一段精选,工艺流程如图4所示,结果见表5
表5可知,常规再磨再选闭路试验精矿产率为33.02%,对应石墨回收率为97.78%。筛析结果显示大鳞片和细鳞片石墨精矿固定碳含量分别为97.74%和96.11%,分别达到了高碳大鳞片石墨和负极材料用鳞片石墨的指标要求,但大鳞片石墨(+0.150 mm粒级)回收率仅15.08%。
再磨再选梯级分离工艺包括一次粗选一次扫选四次精选,其中精选1精矿经过一道0.150 mm细筛预先分级,分离出大颗粒(+0.150 mm)物料后再经球磨机磨矿,然后依次给入下一段精选,每段球磨机再磨时间均为3 min,工艺流程如图5所示,结果见表6
表6可以看出,预先分级+0.150 mm粒级大鳞片石墨精矿固定碳含量96.53%、回收率22.74%,回收率比常规再磨再选工艺提高了7.66个百分点。此外,-0.150 mm粒级细鳞片石墨回收率74.94%、固定碳含量96.21%,满足负极材料用鳞片石墨的指标要求。
1)原矿为典型的晶质石墨,固定碳含量32.54%,其中大鳞片石墨主要呈片状或条带状结构与脉石矿物相互交代连生。
2)粗选适宜条件为:磨矿细度-0.074 mm粒级占72.87%(磨矿时间5 min),煤油用量50 g/t,2#油用量150 g/t。浮选工艺为一粗一扫四精,粗精矿经精选1直接浮选后筛分分离出大鳞片石墨,筛下产物依次再进行三次磨选获得细鳞片石墨。
3)再磨再选梯级分离闭路试验结果显示,+0.150 mm大鳞片石墨和-0.150 mm细鳞片石墨精矿中固定碳含量分别达96.53%和96.21%,其中大鳞片石墨回收率达22.74%,比传统再磨再选工艺提高了7.66个百分点。
