The mechanical properties and energy evolution law of dolomite under a combined action of dry-wet cycle and cyclic loading and unloading were explored. The results show that the structural damage caused by dry-wet cycles leads to the transformation of dolomite from brittle fracture to ductile fracture, which is manifested by an increase in the area of hysteresis loops and a decrease in peak strength. At the early stage of cyclic loading and unloading, a strengthening effect is observed, and then the dolomite develops into the strain-softening and damage stages. An energy analysis indicates that the total input energy is mainly stored in the form of elastic strain energy, and the proportion of dissipated energy increases slowly with the accumulation of damage. Additionally, based on the variation of the damage variable defined by dissipated energy, the damage evolution tends to be stable after a progressive and accelerated process.

探讨了干湿循环与循环加卸载共同作用下白云岩的力学性能及能量演化规律。结果表明,干湿循环引起的结构损伤导致白云岩由脆性破坏向延性破坏转变,表现为滞回环面积增大与峰值强度下降;循环加卸载初期具有强化作用,随后进入软化与损伤阶段。能量分析结果显示,总输入能量主要以弹性应变能形式存储,耗散能比例随损伤累积缓慢增长,且由耗散能定义的损伤变量呈现“渐进—加速—稳定”的演化特征。

The mechanical properties and energy evolution law of dolomite under a combined action of dry-wet cycle and cyclic loading and unloading were explored. The results show that the structural damage caused by dry-wet cycles leads to the transformation of dolomite from brittle fracture to ductile fracture, which is manifested by an increase in the area of hysteresis loops and a decrease in peak strength. At the early stage of cyclic loading and unloading, a strengthening effect is observed, and then the dolomite develops into the strain-softening and damage stages. An energy analysis indicates that the total input energy is mainly stored in the form of elastic strain energy, and the proportion of dissipated energy increases slowly with the accumulation of damage. Additionally, based on the variation of the damage variable defined by dissipated energy, the damage evolution tends to be stable after a progressive and accelerated process.

在岩土工程和地质工程领域,岩体的长期稳定性对工程结构的安全性至关重要。岩体在自然环境中受到气候、降雨和地下水位波动等因素的影响[1-2],其中干湿循环是一个显著的环境作用[3]。同时,岩体还会因外部荷载的反复施加,承受循环加卸载的力学作用[4-5]。干湿循环和循环加卸载的共同作用会使岩体的物理力学性能发生复杂变化[6-7]
干湿循环会引起岩体内部水分的反复迁移[8-9],导致岩石微观结构发生变化[10],如孔隙率增大、微裂隙扩展和矿物成分变化,从而影响岩石强度和变形特性。循环加卸载会使岩体内部的应力场反复变化,导致累积损伤和疲劳效应,降低岩石的弹性模量和强度[11-12]
已有研究已探讨了单一因素对岩体劣化行为的影响。然而,关于多个因素耦合作用下的岩体力学性能及能量演化规律的研究仍较为匮乏。特别是在干湿循环与循环加卸载共同作用下,岩体损伤破坏机制及能量耗散规律尚不清晰,限制了对工程风险的全面评估。
本文通过室内试验探讨干湿循环与循环加卸载共同作用下白云岩的力学性能演变规律,结合能量分析方法揭示其损伤机制及能量演化特性,可为岩体在复杂环境条件下的稳定性预测提供理论依据。
试验所用白云岩岩块取自昆阳磷化二矿工程,白云岩呈灰白色,颗粒均匀,无明显节理及裂纹,表面均匀且完整性好。试样XRD测试结果显示,白云岩试样主要矿物组成为白云石(48.5%)、磷灰石(45.5%)、石英(6.0%)。将取回的试样进行钻芯、切割及打磨等加工工序,制成Ф50 mm×100 mm标准圆柱形试件。为了尽量减少循环加卸载试验中不同岩样的离散性,白云岩岩样需满足以下几点:①纵波波速分布在4 500~4 800 m/s,平均值为4 681 m/s;②密度范围为2.543~2.689 g/cm3,平均密度为2.644 g/cm3;③端面不平整度控制在0.05 mm以下,直径误差小于0.2 mm,轴线偏差不超过0.25°。
本次试验采用太原理工大学的块裂介质岩体渗流-传热联测试验装置。共设计9组试验,分别为对照试验组(未进行干湿循环)、干湿循环次数为5、10次。1次干湿循环为将处理的试样放入105 ℃的烘干箱中干燥24 h,再取出放入纯净水中自由浸泡48 h。每次干湿循环后均要更换纯净水,确保每次干湿循环情况相同。选取3个未经干湿循环的试样进行单轴压缩试验,并计算平均峰值强度作为峰值强度σc,进行每级加卸载循环次数为5、10、30次的三轴循环加卸载试验,试验围压为1 MPa,应力振幅0~0.8σc,其他参数见表1
试验初始阶段以0.2 MPa/s的加载速率施加围压到预设值,并采用荷载控制与位移控制相结合的方式进行完整的三级循环加卸载试验,预试验后选取0.3σc为荷载幅值节点进行力加载,加载速率为0.2 MPa,在0~0.3σc、0~0.5σc、0~0.8σc这3个加载区间分别进行循环加卸载,每组加卸载不同的循环次数,分别进行3次不同级别的循环加卸载后对岩样继续加载直到其发生破坏,以获取2个条件耦合作用下的峰值强度,试验施加荷载曲线如图1所示(以循环次数5次为参考)。
三级循环加卸载试验所得各组试验的应力应变曲线如图24所示。图5为部分岩样破坏形态。
对比图24可以发现,在每级循环加卸载次数相同的情况下,随着干湿循环次数增加,岩样应力-应变曲线表现出明显的从脆性破坏向延性破坏转变的特征。结合图5(a)、(d)、(e)可知,试样内部微裂纹逐渐扩展、相互贯通,发展为肉眼可见的宏观裂隙,相对应的滞回环逐渐变宽,表明岩样的能量耗散能力增强。干湿循环引起的反复湿胀干缩作用对白云岩结构造成累积损伤,导致岩样的弹性模量和刚度下降。这种损伤使白云岩在卸载后的回弹能力减弱,表现出更明显的能量耗散行为。因此,干湿循环加剧了白云岩的损伤程度,显著影响其滞回特性。
在干湿循环次数相同的情况下,随着循环加卸载次数增加,岩样峰值强度先增大后减小。结合图5(a)、(b)、(c)可知,初期循环加载导致岩样致密化,使岩样在下一次加载时能承受更高的应力,表现出峰值强度的提升。随着每级循环加卸载次数进一步增加,岩样峰值强度达到最大值,此时岩样处于“强化-软化转折”状态,内部裂纹和孔隙结构达到相对平衡,岩样能承受较高的应力。循环加卸载次数进一步增加后,岩样峰值强度开始下降,表现出“损伤软化”特征。随着反复加卸载,形成了更多贯通裂纹。在这一阶段,岩样的宏观结构已发生严重损伤,裂纹和孔隙的贯通降低了岩样的承载能力,使整体破坏加剧,峰值强度逐渐降低。损伤软化特征在滞回曲线上表现为曲线宽度增加,滞回环面积增大,显示出更多的能量耗散和变形。岩样的微观结构在此阶段发生不可逆的变化,导致其承载能力持续下降。
白云岩变形破坏过程中3个级别的循环荷载应力幅值所对应的弹性模量演化图如图6所示。弹性模量受干湿循环次数和每级循环加卸载次数的双重影响,但干湿循环的影响更为显著。增加干湿循环次数会导致弹性模量整体下降;而增加每级循环加卸载次数,弹性模量呈现先增大后减小的非单调变化特征,体现了系统损伤累积的复杂非线性动力学行为。
岩石在干湿循环及循环加卸载过程中,主要发生能量的输入、积聚、耗散和释放。在三级三轴循环加卸载试验中,假设整个系统与外界未发生热交换,输入到岩石中的总能量转化为弹性应变能、损伤耗散能以及释放能。根据热力学第一定律,岩石在受力过程中的能量平衡关系可以表示为:
式中:U为总输入能量;U1为轴向应力做功产生的能量;U2为围压做功产生的能量;Ue为弹性应变能;Ud为损伤耗散能;U0为释放能。
i次循环加载与卸载过程如图7所示,轴向应力做功产生的能量U1为:
式中:分别为加载起始点和卸载终点对应的轴向应变;σ1为轴向应力;ε1为轴向应变。
循环加卸载期间围压产生的功U2可表达为:
式中:为卸载点的环向应变;为卸载终点的环向应变;为加载起始点对应的环向应变;σ2为环向应力;ε2为环向应变。
由于环向应变数据来自试样中部,环向应变的测量值取一半以近似表示平均,简化后:
由此可得:
由于试验环境为封闭系统,释放能可忽略不计(即U0=0)[13],输入岩石中的总能量仅转化为弹性应变能和损伤耗散能,则:
受载岩石储存的弹性应变能是可逆的,而滞回环面积的大小则表示了耗散能的大小[14],由此可得:
式中为卸载终点的轴向应变。
Ue则表示为:
根据2.1节通过应力应变曲线计算干湿循环及循环加卸载共同作用下白云岩的各项能量,不同循环加卸载次数的能量演化曲线如图8所示。基于上述假设,岩样总能量在传递过程中一部分转化为耗散能,反映不可逆的能量损耗;另一部分则以弹性应变能的形式储存,可供释放。在干湿循环条件和循环加卸载条件下,岩样形态不断变化,导致能量分配比例会有所差异。
在循环过程中,耗散能始终小于弹性应变能,后者占据主要比例。这说明输入能量以弹性应变能的形式保留在岩石内部,其中大部分能量被释放为弹性形变。这一过程反映出岩样能量特征以弹性能积聚为主,即岩样在加卸载过程中主要为可逆的弹性变形。同时,虽然消耗的能量比例较小,但仍有一部分能量被转化为耗散能,用于克服内部摩擦、微裂纹萌生和扩展等不可逆过程。
耗散能是体现岩石内部损伤演化过程的重要特征,主要用于分析岩石的损伤和塑性变形[15]。因此耗散能在总能量中所占的比例可以在一定程度上反映岩石内部损伤的发育状况[16],因此,基于耗散能定义损伤变量D为:
式中:为每次循环的耗散能;Ui为每次循环的总能量。
图9为白云岩在不同条件下损伤变量随着循环加卸载次数的变化曲线。在三级三轴循环加卸载的第1级至第2级初期阶段,损伤变量总体表现出下降速率逐渐加快的趋势,这是因为白云岩在第1级循环加卸载环境下的应力集中会在晶界或孔隙周围引发微裂纹,但应力幅值较小且尚未形成较为连贯的破裂面。在第2级循环加卸载阶段,更高的应力水平以及岩样的损伤积累使损失变量随着循环加卸载次数增加而迅速下降。在这一阶段中,白云岩中微裂纹的扩展速率和颗粒滑移失稳的发生频率都会增加,同时开始伴随着宏观破裂面的生成,需要消耗的能量增大,白云岩在外力作用下会积累弹性能量,当微裂纹扩展并最终形成宏观裂缝时,弹性能量开始集中释放,使得耗散能占比不断下降。在第3级循环加卸载过程中,微裂纹进一步扩展和贯通的概率降低,下降速率趋于平缓,此时耗散能主要来源于岩样内部的裂纹摩擦,损伤发展逐渐趋于饱和。
另外,对比干湿循环次数对损伤的影响,可以发现5次干湿循环使损伤变量增加的幅度要略大于10次干湿循环使损伤变量增加的幅度。白云岩是一种以碳酸盐矿物为主要成分的岩石,水分携带的离子(如H+)会与白云岩中的碳酸盐成分发生化学反应。这种溶解反应会导致白云岩表面和内部矿物逐步溶蚀,削弱晶粒间的结合力,增加裂纹扩展的可能性。同时,在湿润条件下,水分会渗入白云岩内部微裂纹。干燥时,岩石内部因水分蒸发而产生收缩应力,这种循环应力导致微裂纹进一步扩展和相互连接。随着裂纹密度和贯通性的增加,白云岩的结构完整性受损,表现为宏观强度下降。
综上所述,损伤变量的演化规律整体呈现横向“S”形的变化特征。在第1级循环阶段,损伤变量呈缓慢下降趋势;随着循环逐步推进至第2阶段,下降速率显著增大,表明损伤累积加速;而在第3级循环阶段,损伤变量下降速率逐渐趋于平缓,损伤演化进入相对稳定期。采用Logistic函数表达损伤变量的演化方程[17]
式中:x为自变量即为循环次数;MNx0p均为演化方程的拟合参数。其中M决定了表示函数D的修正系数,可以体现干湿循环与循环加卸载对D的影响;N决定了初始损伤变量值的大小;x0决定了曲线下降的速率,它是循环次数x的一个标尺,表示下降速度发生显著变化的位置;p决定曲线的陡峭程度(变化速率),较大的p值会使曲线在x0附近的下降更陡峭,趋近阶梯形,而较小的p会使曲线更平滑,呈现缓慢变化。
基于式(10)得到的拟合曲线同样示于图9中,所得到的拟合参数见表2。由此得到的损伤变量曲线可以反映干湿循环和循环加卸载条件下的损伤演化过程。具体而言,损伤演化呈现从缓慢增长到加速发展、再到稳定的三个阶段。该损伤模型能够较好地反应干湿循环及三级三轴循环加卸载后的劣化情况。
此外,根据图9的各个曲线可得:
1)白云岩岩样在三级三轴循环加卸载结束后内部的结构劣化与干湿循环次数呈正相关,即干湿循环次数越大,损伤变量越大,损伤程度也越高,但随着干湿循环次数不断增加,损伤变量增长幅度也相应放缓;
2)岩样在循环加卸载结束后的损伤程度与每级循环次数呈先减小后增大的非线性趋势,表明在较小的每级循环次数条件下,循环加卸载作用可以一定程度上使岩石内部部分原始存在或干湿循环后存在的微裂纹和孔隙逐渐闭合,尤其是非贯通裂纹和孔隙。另外,特别是在白云岩这样的碳酸盐岩中,循环应力作用导致岩石内部颗粒间发生滑移和重新排列,使得晶粒间的结合更加紧密。晶体颗粒间的摩擦和嵌合作用可以增强整体的抗压能力,表现为强度的暂时提升。
1)干湿循环导致白云岩的结构发生累积性损伤,使岩样从脆性破坏逐步转变为延性破坏,表现为滞回环逐渐增宽、峰值强度下降。而在恒定干湿循环条件下,循环加卸载初期对岩样具有强化作用,使峰值强度随着每级循环加卸载次数增加而提升;当每级循环加卸载达到一定次数后,岩样内部累积损伤占主导地位,峰值强度逐渐降低,呈现“强化—软化—损伤”的渐进演变特征。
2)在干湿循环与循环加卸载的共同作用下,输入白云岩的总能量主要以弹性应变能形式储存,耗散能的比例相对较小,且随着循环次数增加,二者的相差比例不断增加。
3)在循环加载过程中,白云岩的弹性能量积累和释放表现出阶段性特征,表明岩体的破坏过程由初始弹性变形主导逐渐转向由裂纹扩展和摩擦主导的塑性变形和破坏。
4)岩石在损伤演化过程中与基于能量耗散的损伤变量变化具有显著的相关性,可以作为评价白云岩结构失效的理论依据。
