The iron tailings in Hubei contains 0.058% copper and 9.26% sulfur. It is recovered by bulk flotation followed by separation on site, but the flotation indices of copper and sulfur are unsatisfactory. In order to improve the comprehensive resource utilization rate, experiments on flotation with new reagents were carried out for such iron tailings. With tailings at a grinding fineness of-0.074 mm 64.81%, a bulk floatation was performed with a new collector Xiexin 930 and frother No. two oil; a separation flotation was conducted with activated carbon as an activator, Xiexin 950 as a copper collector, and slaked lime as a sulfur depressant added in stages. As a result, the experiment produced a copper concentrate grading 17.77% Cu at recovery of 60.07%, and a sulfur concentrate grading 38.16% S at recovery of 34.48%. Compared with the on-site reagent regime, the separation indices are improved, with recoveries increased by 17.60 percentage points and 12.28 percentage points, respectively. It is shown that copper and sulfur resources in such iron tailings can be effectively recovered. This experimental study can provide a theoretical reference for the efficient recovery of other similar low-grade ores.

湖北某选铁尾矿含铜0.058%、含硫9.26%，现场采用先混合浮选再铜硫分离的方式对其进行回收，铜、硫浮选回收指标欠佳。为提高资源综合利用率，针对该选铁尾矿开展了新型药剂浮选试验研究。结果表明，在磨矿细度-0.074 mm粒级占64.81%条件下，以新型捕收剂协鑫930和起泡剂2号油开展铜硫混合浮选试验，以活性炭为活化剂、熟石灰为硫抑制剂、协鑫950为铜捕收剂，开展铜硫分离浮选试验，采用熟石灰分段添加的形式，可获得Cu品位17.77%、回收率60.07%的铜精矿和S品位38.16%、回收率34.48%的硫精矿。与现场生产指标相比，铜、硫精矿指标良好，回收率分别提高了17.60百分点和12.28百分点，实现了铁尾矿中铜、硫资源的有效回收，可为其他同类型低品位矿的高效回收提供一定的理论参考。
