依托现代信息技术的开放科学给当今科学发展带来了全新变革，也冲击和挑战着科学普及的传统模式。开放科学凭借技术化优势和数字化特点，不仅使社会公众能够更便捷地获取科学技术知识，而且也能够介入科研活动的不同环节，成为科研活动的重要参与者。开放科学为科学普及的转型升级提供了更具开放性、包容性、多元化的发展空间与难得的机遇，与此同时，也使当代科普工作面临科普参与主体拓展、科学家与公众需要建立新型关系的重大挑战。在开放科学条件下推进科普事业的发展，需要进一步强化科学家责任、提升公民数字技能和素养、提高科普技术能力，这样才能实现开放科学与科学普及的协同发展。
