This research is not only supplements to the quantitative study of the public understanding of science, but also important for the modification of the questionnaire of the survey of the continued research.

本报告是2007年公民科学素质调查课题的一个组成部分。这项研究的目的是在定量调查的基础上进行定性调查。调查方法采用的是小组座谈。选取的调查样本考虑到东中西不同地区，城市、农村和城乡结合部的居民。访谈的主要内容有公民获得科学技术信息的渠道、对科学家和科学家团体的看法、对科学研究的支持以及支持的理由、公民参与科学决策的态度和看法、公民对科学精神的认识等。此外，这项研究也为今后进一步修改调查问卷做必要的准备。
