Based on an investigation of Physics Science Books during the Republic of China, the paper collects and makes catalogue of those books entitled “Book Catalogue”. By regarding the catalogue as the basis, the overriding aims of such study is to clearly know the development, traits, and its relationship with the society through multiple statistically analyzing angles, coupled with the content analysis. The findings are unfolded as follows: the period between 1924 and 1937 witnesses an important period for physics popular science books development; the writers, translators, how such books are produced, and the source of books are manifested in diversified manners; as well as the number, the region, and the content of the published books are closely linked with the trait of the social development then, vividly mirroring the features of the ear then.

本文以民国时期出版的物理科普图书^①为研究对象进行了调查，对收集到的科普图书进行编目，制成《图书目录》。以该目录为基础多角度进行统计分析，并辅以内容研究，目的在于搞清民国时期物理科普图书的发展状况、特点及其与社会的关系。研究发现1924—1937年是物理科普图书发展的重要时期；物理科普图书的著述方式、来源、著译者身份多元化；物理科普图书出版的数量、地域、内容等均与当时的社会发展特点有密切关系，体现了民国时期物理科普图书发展的时代特征。
