Recently, researchers have been exploring ways to apply social-psychological model to examining how individual's cognition, affection, attitudes and behaviors influence the effect of science communication. For example, the Risk Information Seeking and Processing (RISP) model is used to explain the conditions under which individuals seek and process risk information. After reviewing related literature, the paper takes the issue about GM Food as an example to explore how individual psychological and social variables and their relationship influence individual's processing of information by using RISP. Finally, the paper discusses how to use the results of RISP studies to design effective science communication.

近年来，科学传播领域的研究者借助社会心理学模型分析科学传播过程中个体和群体之间的心理现象，探索公众的认知、情感、态度和行为等对传播效果的影响，为科学传播研究提供了独特的分析视角。其中，风险信息寻求和加工模型被广泛应用于解释公众面对争议性科学事件时其行为决策的机制。本文追根溯源，梳理了该模型的理论基础及模型核心要素，并以转基因食品安全问题为例，分析该模型如何从公众视角出发，揭示个体心理学和社会学因素及其相互作用对个体加工科学信息方式的影响。最后，本文讨论了围绕该模型的相关研究结果对我国科学传播活动设计的启示。
