The PCST conference is an important conference in the field of science communication. The metrology research on the papers of PCST conferences could help to obtain a glimpse of the characteristics and hot spots of science communication research. There were 1954 papers, 3536 author’s names and 2479 communication information after the papers were sorted out. The frequency of distributions of author’s name, author’s country, author’s affiliations and keywords were analyzed. We can see it from the sorted document that most of the authors had only one signature. Nearly 90% papers were from 25 countries, mainly coming from India, China, Australia, the United States and the United Kingdom. Over 90% papers were from universities, research institutions and government agencies. The themes were not so concentrated, and the keywords distributions was not that focused.

PCST会议是科学传播领域的重要会议之一，对PCST会议论文的分析能够管窥国际科学传播研究的特点和热点。通过搜集整理，获得1998年以来的该会议的论文1 954篇，得到作者姓名3 536个（次），通讯信息2 479条（次）。分析其作者署名次数分布、作者国别分布、作者单位性质分布和论文关键词词频可以看出，该会议对作者的粘附力较小，在历次会议中大多数作者仅有一次署名；分析作者来源可以看出，PCST会议论文的来源相对集中，主要集中在印度、中国、澳大利亚、美国和英国，论文主要来源于大学、研究机构和政府机构；PCST会议论文的主题相对分散，关键词不够集中。
