The causes for lower qualified rate of transverse low temperature impact toughness at -20 ℃ of SM490YB hot-rolled H beam for offshore oil platform are analyzed with such instrument and equipment as the optical microscope, scanning electron microscope and energy spectrometer. The results showed that the poorer low temperature impact toughness of test steel was caused by large Al2O3 inclusion, harder bainite structure, coarse grain and banded structure in the steel. The transverse low temperature impact toughness at -20 ℃ of test steel is improved obviously and qualified rate of impact at -20 ℃ is increased from 80% to 100% by reducing carbon content of test steel as well as optimizing smelting and rolling processes so that the grain size and inclusions of test steel are refined as well as types of microstructure are optimized.

采用光学显微镜、扫描电子显微镜、能谱仪等仪器设备,对海洋石油平台用SM490YB热轧H型钢-20 ℃横向低温冲击韧性合格率偏低的原因进行分析。结果表明,钢中存在Al2O3大颗粒夹杂物、较硬的贝氏体组织、晶粒粗大及带状组织是造成试验钢低温冲击韧性差的主要原因。通过降低试验钢的碳含量,优化冶炼及轧制工艺,试验钢的晶粒尺寸、夹杂物得到细化,组织类型得到优化,试验钢-20 ℃横向低温冲击韧性得到明显改善,-20 ℃冲击合格率由80%提高到100%。

采用光学显微镜、扫描电子显微镜、能谱仪等仪器设备,对海洋石油平台用SM490YB热轧H型钢-20 ℃横向低温冲击韧性合格率偏低的原因进行分析。结果表明,钢中存在Al2O3大颗粒夹杂物、较硬的贝氏体组织、晶粒粗大及带状组织是造成试验钢低温冲击韧性差的主要原因。通过降低试验钢的碳含量,优化冶炼及轧制工艺,试验钢的晶粒尺寸、夹杂物得到细化,组织类型得到优化,试验钢-20 ℃横向低温冲击韧性得到明显改善,-20 ℃冲击合格率由80%提高到100%。

The causes for lower qualified rate of transverse low temperature impact toughness at -20 ℃ of SM490YB hot-rolled H beam for offshore oil platform are analyzed with such instrument and equipment as the optical microscope, scanning electron microscope and energy spectrometer. The results showed that the poorer low temperature impact toughness of test steel was caused by large Al2O3 inclusion, harder bainite structure, coarse grain and banded structure in the steel. The transverse low temperature impact toughness at -20 ℃ of test steel is improved obviously and qualified rate of impact at -20 ℃ is increased from 80% to 100% by reducing carbon content of test steel as well as optimizing smelting and rolling processes so that the grain size and inclusions of test steel are refined as well as types of microstructure are optimized.

随着海洋石油资源开发利用的快速发展,海洋石油平台的建设范围逐渐延伸至北方高寒地区,对高强度、耐低温韧性的海洋工程用钢的需求与日俱增[1]。海洋石油平台用耐低温热轧H型钢对材料的显微组织、非金属夹杂物、气体含量、表面质量及残余有害元素的控制等都有较高的要求[2-3]。本文通过对某钢厂生产的海洋石油平台用SM490YB热轧H型钢进行显微组织、夹杂物、冲击断口的检测,分析SM490YB热轧H型钢低温冲击韧性合格率偏低产生的主要原因,并为工业生产提供成分、轧制工艺优化方案,对工艺优化的有效性进行评估。
试验材料为某钢厂生产的规格为H900×300×16×28的海洋石油平台用SM490YB热轧H型钢,其化学成分如表1所示。其生产工艺为铁水预处理→转炉顶底复吹冶炼→LF炉外精炼→VD真空处理→连铸→连铸坯缓冷→步进加热炉→高压水除鳞→BD开坯→CCS万能轧制→步进冷床冷却→矫直→外形、表面质量检查→冷锯取样→锯切定尺→超声波检验→打包。根据GB/T 2975—2018《钢及钢产品力学性能试验取样及试样制备》[4]规定,在H型钢翼缘上取横向圆拉伸和冲击试样,冲击试样大小为10 mm×10 mm×55 mm。依照GB/T 228.1—2021《金属材料拉伸试验第1部分:室温试验方法》[5],采用英斯特朗120 t电液伺服拉伸试验机在室温进行拉伸试验,依照GB/T 229— 2020 《金属材料夏比摆锤冲击试验方法》[6],采用JBD-300A低温冲击试验机在-20 ℃进行冲击试验。采用蔡司SIGMA500场发射扫描电镜对冲击断口形貌进行观察,牛津Oxford能谱仪对断口形貌及夹杂物进行分析。金相试样经研磨、抛光后,采用体积分数为4%的硝酸酒精溶液对金相试样进行腐蚀,在蔡司Axio observer A1M光学显微镜下观察其微观组织形貌[7]
日本产业标准JIS G 3106—2020《焊接结构用轧制钢材》[8]对海洋石油平台用SM490YB耐低温热轧H型钢的力学性能要求如表2所示,标准要求SM490YB试验钢热轧态的屈服强度不小于355 MPa,抗拉强度在490~630 MPa之间,断后伸长率不低于21%,-20 ℃横向低温冲击吸收功不低于24 J。在实际大工业批量生产中,部分SM490YB试验钢的-20 ℃横向低温冲击吸收功不满足标准要求,首批次30炉SM490YB热轧H型钢-20 ℃横向低温冲击吸收功统计结果如图1所示,冲击吸收功的范围在10~55 J之间,平均值约为30 J,试验钢-20 ℃横向低温冲击吸收功的合格率为80%,不合格品的产出不仅影响交货周期,还同时给企业带来不小的经济损失。
图2为试验钢冲击不合格试样的显微组织。冲击不合格试样显微组织由铁素体、珠光体、贝氏体组成,所有组织基本成带状分布。带状组织会降低钢材的塑性、冷成形性能,提高韧脆转变温度,冲击载荷作用下较硬的珠光体、贝氏体破坏了基体的连续性,降低试验钢的低温冲击韧性[9]。带状组织会产生应力集中,从而诱发微裂纹,且带状组织和铁素体之间的韧塑性差异会造成冲击韧性下降[10]。组织中存在较硬的贝氏体,当裂纹经过贝氏体板条时,直接沿着板条扩展,能量吸收较少,裂纹很容易扩展,因此恶化了韧性。冲击不合格试样的晶粒度约为7.5级,珠光体、铁素体晶粒尺寸为10~20 μm,裂纹扩展临界应力与晶粒尺寸成正比,大尺寸夹杂物会对冲击韧性造成显著的负面影响,降低夹杂物尺寸可以显著改善低温冲击韧性[11]。随着晶粒尺寸的增大,其变形协调能力变差,裂纹扩展的临界应力降低,较大的晶粒尺寸和带状组织共同作用,降低了试验钢的低温冲击韧性。
采用蔡司SIGMA500扫描电镜对冲击不合格试样的断口形貌进行观察,如图3图4所示。由图3(a)可以看出,宏观断口基本为结晶状放射区,几乎无剪切唇区和纤维区,这是典型的脆性断口形貌。由图3(b)可以看出,微观断口呈解理小平台状,为典型的解理断裂,同时断口上发现尺寸约55 μm的夹杂物。采用能谱仪对大颗粒夹杂物进行化学成分分析,由图4可以看出,主要含有O、Al两种元素,表明该夹杂物为Al2O3夹杂物。解理平台遇到大颗粒夹杂物,使周围基体阻碍裂纹扩展、适应冲击塑性变形的能力进一步减弱,由于夹杂物的线膨胀系数小于基体,当试验温度降低时,收缩差异导致晶格应力增大,加上基体上存在较大的脆性Al2O3夹杂物,两者共同作用,只需要较小的外力就能使裂纹形成及快速扩展,所以试验钢-20 ℃横向低温冲击吸收功较低,冲击韧性差。
本文从化学成分设计和冶炼、轧制工艺2个方面考虑制定改进措施。化学成分方面,钢的低温韧性随着碳含量的降低而改善[12],因此考虑通过降低试验钢的碳含量来改善其韧性。为了降低试验钢热轧态显微组织中的贝氏体含量,将试验钢碳含量的目标值由0.15%降低至0.12%。冶炼及轧制工艺改进,通过在转炉工序强化搅拌力度,出钢过程中吹氩时间由原来的15 min增加至30 min,来降低钢中氧含量[13],目的是减少氧化物夹杂物的生成;为了细化试验钢组织,并结合工装能力,将终轧目标温度由920 ℃降低到880 ℃;同时根据优化成分后试验钢的连续冷却转变曲线(CCT曲线)不同冷速下生成的组织类型,轧制后冷却速度控制在5 ℃/s左右,该冷速下即能抑制贝氏体组织的生成,又能细化珠光体和铁素体的晶粒,通过细化晶粒和优化组织类型来提高试验钢的低温冲击韧性。
通过对SM490YB热轧H型钢实施上述改进措施后,检验其低温冲击性能,-20 ℃横向低温冲击吸收功统计如图5所示。由图5可知,改进工艺后试验钢-20 ℃横向低温冲击吸收功有了大幅度提高,-20 ℃全尺寸冲击吸收功为60~180 J,平均值达到130 J以上,-20 ℃低温冲击合格率为100%。改进工艺后试验钢的显微组织如图6所示,显微组织为铁素体+珠光体,晶粒度约8.5级,晶粒尺寸得到细化。和首批试制的试验钢显微组织相比,优化工艺后试验钢显微组织中不含有较硬的贝氏体,晶粒更细小。改进工艺后试验钢-20 ℃横向低温冲击断口形貌见图7,由图7(a)可知,断口存在明显纤维区,剪切断面率达到了95%,属于典型的韧性断裂;由图7(b)可知,断口韧窝大小均匀,以抛物线形和等轴形态存在,没有大颗粒夹杂物存在,细小的夹杂物基本在1 μm左右,冲击韧性较高。
(1)大颗粒Al2O3夹杂物、较硬的贝氏体组织、晶粒粗大及带状组织是造成海洋石油平台用SM490YB热轧H型钢-20 ℃横向低温冲击韧性合格率偏低的主要原因。
(2)通过将试验钢的碳含量由0.15%降低至0.12%,终轧温度由920 ℃降低到880 ℃,终轧后冷却速度控制在5 ℃/s左右,试验钢的显微组织由铁素体、珠光体、贝氏体变为铁素体和珠光体,晶粒度由7.5级提高到8.5级,通过优化组织类型和细化晶粒提高试验钢的低温冲击韧性。
(3)冶炼时转炉工序加强搅拌力度,出钢过程中吹氩时间由15 min增加到30 min,尽可能减少大尺寸氧化物夹杂物的生成,夹杂物颗粒大小由55 μm降低至1 μm左右,进一步提高试验钢的低温冲击韧性。
(4)首次试制试验钢-20 ℃横向低温冲击吸收功的范围为10~55 J,平均值约30 J,合格率为80%,优化成分及工艺后,试验钢-20 ℃横向低温冲击吸收功的范围为60~180 J,平均值达到130 J以上,冲击合格率为100%。
