The effect of residual stress for rail on its fatigue performance is great. In this paper, the influences of different residual stress values on fatigue crack growth rate for U75V heat-treated rail are studied with tempering test and metallographic analysis method. The influences of different tempering times on the residual tension of rail are analyzed with the tempering test. It is concluded that the residual stress gradually decreases with increase of tempering time; the crack growth path at tip of fatigue crack is analyzed by testing the metallographic structure of rail treated with tempering process and observing the metallographic structure of rail with different tempering times, the influences of different tempering times on fatigue crack growth rate are analyzed according to the mode and length of crack growth; the residual stress and fatigue crack growth rate of rail can be effectively reduced so that the anti-fatigue performance of rail can be improved through tempering process control.

钢轨残余应力对其疲劳性能影响较大,文章采用回火试验和金相分析方法,研究了不同残余应力值对U75V热处理钢轨疲劳裂纹扩展速率的影响。通过回火试验,分析不同回火时长对钢轨残余应力的影响,得出随着回火时间的增加残余应力逐渐减小;通过对回火工艺处理后的钢轨进行金相组织检测,观察不同回火时长的钢轨金相组织,分析疲劳裂纹尖端处裂纹扩展路径,根据裂纹扩展的方式与长度来分析不同回火时长对疲劳裂纹扩展速率的影响;通过回火工艺控制,可有效降低钢轨残余应力,进而有效地降低钢轨裂纹扩展速率,提高钢轨抗疲劳性能。

钢轨残余应力对其疲劳性能影响较大,文章采用回火试验和金相分析方法,研究了不同残余应力值对U75V热处理钢轨疲劳裂纹扩展速率的影响。通过回火试验,分析不同回火时长对钢轨残余应力的影响,得出随着回火时间的增加残余应力逐渐减小;通过对回火工艺处理后的钢轨进行金相组织检测,观察不同回火时长的钢轨金相组织,分析疲劳裂纹尖端处裂纹扩展路径,根据裂纹扩展的方式与长度来分析不同回火时长对疲劳裂纹扩展速率的影响;通过回火工艺控制,可有效降低钢轨残余应力,进而有效地降低钢轨裂纹扩展速率,提高钢轨抗疲劳性能。

The effect of residual stress for rail on its fatigue performance is great. In this paper, the influences of different residual stress values on fatigue crack growth rate for U75V heat-treated rail are studied with tempering test and metallographic analysis method. The influences of different tempering times on the residual tension of rail are analyzed with the tempering test. It is concluded that the residual stress gradually decreases with increase of tempering time; the crack growth path at tip of fatigue crack is analyzed by testing the metallographic structure of rail treated with tempering process and observing the metallographic structure of rail with different tempering times, the influences of different tempering times on fatigue crack growth rate are analyzed according to the mode and length of crack growth; the residual stress and fatigue crack growth rate of rail can be effectively reduced so that the anti-fatigue performance of rail can be improved through tempering process control.

对钢轨而言,影响钢轨线路服役寿命的因素很多且复杂多变,其中疲劳裂纹扩展速率是衡量钢轨服役性能好坏的关键指标,所以对影响疲劳裂纹扩展速率的研究就至关重要,本文主要对引发疲劳裂纹扩展的残余应力进行研究讨论,不同成分的钢轨材料具有不同的热物性参数,这些因素会导致钢轨轧制后产生不同的残余应力[1]。现如今火车根据用途分为货运与客运,随着我国经济的发展,运行速度及运量都与之前有了大幅提高,使得钢轨的受力情况愈加复杂多变,冲击强度愈加剧烈,在保证钢轨正常机械性能的同时,必须兼顾钢轨的周期疲劳性能。这样使得钢轨生产和使用过程中不可避免的产生大量的内应力,也就是残余应力,因而研究残余应力对钢轨疲劳性能的影响很有必要且符合实际情况。
对U75V热处理钢轨按照TB/T 2344.1—2020[2]进行残余应力检验,测定方法TB/T 2344.1—2020中有详细的试验方法,按照标准严格执行便可,残余应力试验贴片及切口详细位置见图1
残余应力值由锯切前后的应变差再乘以2.07×105 GPa计算而得,结果见表1
从贴片法检验结果来看,热处理钢轨残余应力轨头和轨底均处于拉应力状态,而且值比较高,轨腰处于压应力状态,钢轨残余应力水平较高。
为研究热处理钢轨残余应力对裂纹扩展速率的影响,对热处理钢轨进行回火试验。从某钢厂取得热处理U75V钢轨试样,进行300 ℃、2~8 h回火,对其进行残余应力检验。检验结果见表2
经过不同回火工艺处理的钢轨,钢轨残余应力有了不同程度的改变,随着回火时间的延长,残余应力逐渐降低。
按照TB/T 2344.1—2020[2]和GB/T 6398—2017[3],采用三点弯曲、单边缺口试样进行疲劳裂纹扩展速率试验,在每根样轨上取3个试样,试验环境为大气环境,温度为15~25 ℃,最小循环荷载、最大循环荷载比R=0.5,三点弯曲试样加载跨距为4 W,循环加载频率为15~40 Hz。
标准对于试验的温度、载荷及跨度、试样的形状、频率等做了比较详细的规定,最大限度减小外部环境、试验过程对结果的影响,将经过回火工艺处理后的钢轨进行裂纹扩展速率检验[4],检验结果见图2
结合之前表2的数据与图2所示,在其他条件相同时,回火时间越长,对应的钢轨残余应力越低,钢轨的疲劳裂纹扩展速率也越低[5]。为了进一步分析残余应力对裂纹扩展速率的影响,观察了不同回火时长下疲劳裂纹尖端处裂纹扩展路径。
回火8 h的裂纹末端更加细小,在裂纹末端有不同的裂纹产生,但长度相比第一次裂纹较长,方向与第一次裂纹平行,裂纹扩展的方式大体分为穿晶和沿晶两种,裂纹偏折角度相对较大;回火2 h的裂纹末端再裂纹较短,偏折较回火8 h有所缓和;未回火的裂纹末端也产生了不同的裂纹,但相对较小,裂纹轨迹偏折角度也较小,局部裂纹呈不规律的波浪型。分析原因在于随回火时间的延长,钢轨内部残余应力降低,组织更加均匀细化,裂纹扩展受到来自晶界的阻碍力便会增大,而疲劳裂纹扩展的方式总是沿着耗能最小的方向进行扩展,所以沿着单一方向扩展越来越艰难,进而沿着晶界形成大角度偏折,如此以来,偏折后的路线变相的增加了裂纹的相对长度,达到了降低裂纹的扩展速率的目的。
通过上述观察到的特征,随着钢轨珠光体组织片层间距的减小,珠光体组织的机械性能提高,同时受组织片层间距的影响,对裂纹发展的阻碍作用主要体现为裂纹轨迹沿晶界的偏折性;受钢轨服役期间疲劳载荷的作用,应力主要分布集中于主裂纹末端。根据上述试验分析,晶粒细化、降低残余应力影响裂纹扩展,使之发生偏折,在主裂纹末端扩展受到来自晶界的阻碍时,便会在偏折处产生第二次裂纹,变相的增加了疲劳裂纹的长度,达到了降低钢轨疲劳裂纹扩展速率的目的,延长了钢轨使用寿命。
(1)热处理钢轨裂纹扩展速率随着珠光体片层间距的逐渐细化,疲劳裂纹扩展的偏折程度越大,小的珠光体片层间距降低了热处理钢轨的裂纹扩展速率。
(2)热处理钢轨轨头残余应力对裂纹扩展速率的影响表现为轨头残余拉应力越高,裂纹扩展速率越快,是裂纹扩展速率试验值高的主要原因。
(3)通过回火工艺处理,可有效降低钢轨残余应力,进而有效降低钢轨的疲劳裂纹扩展速率。
