As one of the important hot tools in perforated rolling process of seamless steel tube, the quality of guide plate directly affects quality and cost of steel tube. In this paper, the effects of modification of rare earth and heat treatment on carbide shape in high chromium nickel alloy guide plate are studied aiming at the problem of its fragmentation during use. Moreover, the microstructure of net carbide in high chromium nickel guide plate is fragmentated and broken, matrix structure is refined and carbide uniformly distributes by selecting reasonable process so that the purpose of improving service life of guide plate is achieved.

导板作为无缝钢管穿孔轧制过程中的重要热工具之一,其质量直接影响钢管质量和成本。文章针对高铬镍导板在使用过程中出现的碎裂问题,研究了在稀土变质处理和热处理共同作用下对高铬镍合金导板中碳化物形态的影响,并选择合理的工艺使高铬镍合金导板中网状碳化物组织碎化断开,基体组织细化,碳化物分布均匀,达到提高导板使用寿命的目的。

导板作为无缝钢管穿孔轧制过程中的重要热工具之一,其质量直接影响钢管质量和成本。文章针对高铬镍导板在使用过程中出现的碎裂问题,研究了在稀土变质处理和热处理共同作用下对高铬镍合金导板中碳化物形态的影响,并选择合理的工艺使高铬镍合金导板中网状碳化物组织碎化断开,基体组织细化,碳化物分布均匀,达到提高导板使用寿命的目的。

As one of the important hot tools in perforated rolling process of seamless steel tube, the quality of guide plate directly affects quality and cost of steel tube. In this paper, the effects of modification of rare earth and heat treatment on carbide shape in high chromium nickel alloy guide plate are studied aiming at the problem of its fragmentation during use. Moreover, the microstructure of net carbide in high chromium nickel guide plate is fragmentated and broken, matrix structure is refined and carbide uniformly distributes by selecting reasonable process so that the purpose of improving service life of guide plate is achieved.

穿孔是无缝钢管生产过程中的一道重要工序,导板作为穿孔机重要热工具,其作用是对管坯进行导向和限制横向变形,导板质量优劣对顺利穿孔、工模具消耗、钢管的产量和质量都有影响。本文对Ф180 mm MINIMPM机组穿孔机高铬镍材质导板制作工艺进行研究,目的是提高导板的使用寿命,降低该机组钢管制造成本。

图1为失效后的导板组织照片。从图1中可以看到大块的网状一次碳化物,这种组织的材料使用性能非常恶劣。从铸态凝固特点来看,由于C和Cr元素的偏析所形成的网状共晶碳化物分布在晶界上,而共晶碳化物是热疲劳裂纹扩展的主要通道,由于碳化物脆性大,在循环热应力下容易破碎,且一旦出现裂纹即迅速扩展,因此材料的热疲劳抗力主要取决于碳化物形态[1]
当晶间碳化物呈连续状分布于晶界并伴有聚集时,会加剧碳化物附近应力集中,在外力作用下其附近易产生裂纹;相反,当晶间碳化物连续性较低时,可以延长断裂时间,提高合金的性能和使用寿命[2]
改变碳化物形态一般采取变质处理或热处理,采用稀土作为变质剂能起到净化晶界、细化晶粒等作用,但仅用其来改变共晶碳化物的形态作用有限[3]。选择合理的热处理工艺可使共晶碳化物重溶、团聚化,改变其形状和分布。为此,同时采用稀土变质处理和热处理进行试验,研究其对钢中碳化物形态和分布的影响。
使用1 t中频炉按表1要求的化学成分冶炼,钢包内沉淀脱氧后加入0.1%的稀土。按如下方法加入稀土:出钢量达到1/3时,投入稀土总加入量的50%,出钢量达到2/3时投入剩余的50%;钢包注满后,钢液镇静20 min,然后在树脂砂型中浇铸导板试样毛坯。
分别对变质处理前后的导板毛坯进行取样,使用王水及FeCl3溶液腐蚀(由于铬镍含量高,4%的硝酸酒精难以腐蚀),侵蚀时间为1~2 min,使用32型光学显微镜及LEO HV 50扫描电子显微镜观察组织,结果见图2。其中图2(a)图2(c)为变质处理前的铸态组织,图2(b)图2(d)为变质处理后的铸态组织。图2(a)图2(b)为放大50倍的变质前后的铸造组织对比,从图中可以清楚地看到,经过变质处理的铸态组织中的网状一次碳化物比未经变质处理的细小,奥氏体细化明显。图2(c)图2(d)为放大250倍的变质前后的铸造组织对比,从图中可以明显看出长条状的一次碳化物破碎为颗粒状。
稀土变质处理可使高铬镍合金钢组织明显细化,碳化物网变为断网。稀土熔点低,原子半径大,且在奥氏体中的溶解度很小,在高铬镍合金钢凝固过程中是强过冷元素,且由于其在凝固过程中液、固两个平衡项中溶质浓度的比值即平衡常数K0远小于1,在凝固过程中将发生严重偏析,通过溶质再分配而富集在初生奥氏体生长前沿的熔体中,造成较大的成分过冷,有利于奥氏体枝晶的多次分枝及枝晶间距的减小,细化枝晶组织和奥氏体。另外,稀土主要在奥氏体枝晶间偏聚,且分布不均匀。稀土在钢中起到脱硫、脱氧的作用,其反应生成的稀土氧化物、硫化物作为钢液凝固时的成核中心,可以细化凝固组织。另外,在凝固后期,由于奥氏体枝晶的细化,奥氏体枝晶间偏析而形成的共晶液相熔池变小变少,共晶反应在枝晶间钢液熔池中形成的共晶碳化物也可得到细化。经过细化的初生奥氏体隔断了凝固过程中的残留钢液,在共晶体的生长过程中,共晶奥氏体优先在狭窄通道两侧的初生奥氏体上以“离异”方式结晶,促使残留钢液进一步被分离,最后导致共晶碳化物细化,网状结构断开而孤立化[4]
图3为变质前后铸造组织的SEM组织对比图。图3(a)图3(c)为变质前的组织,图3(b)图3(d)为变质后的组织。图3(a)图3(b)为放大100倍的变质前后的铸造组织对比,从图中可以看到变质后的一次碳化物网格比变质前的一次碳化物网格细小。图3(c)图3(d)为放大200倍的变质前后的铸造组织对比,从图中可以看到一次碳化物由条块状断开变为颗粒状。
热处理后的组织对导板的使用寿命有很大的影响,热处理应该向着高寿命的组织状态处理,即使导板获得接近球状的、均匀分布的高稳定性碳化物。
原来的热处理执行正火工艺,将导板毛坯加工后,在箱式炉中将导板加热到1 080 ℃保温30 min。分别将变质前后正火处理的导板取样,磨制抛光后用王水腐蚀,观察其金相组织,见图4,其中图4(a)为未变质经正火处理的导板试样,图4(b)为变质后经正火处理的导板试样。对比图4(a)图4(b),经过变质处理后网状一次碳化物更加细小,且由条状破碎为颗粒状,同时二次碳化物析出长大成为条棒状,在使用过程中易剥落,并且在二次碳化物的周围会形成微裂纹,使材料性能下降。
变质处理后的正火工艺有其优越性,可以熔断薄弱的一次碳化物继续断网[5],不利影响表现得更为明显,综合考虑变质后采用时效处理,来获得弥散析出的二次碳化物。
将变质处理后的铸态试样分别加热到530 ℃保温8 h、580 ℃保温8 h进行时效处理。取经过不同时效温度处理的试样进行抛光、腐蚀,观察其金相组织,如图5所示,对比二次碳化物的形态。
图5中可以看出,当时效温度高于530 ℃时,奥氏体中开始析出二次碳化物。
为进一步确定时效过程中析出了弥散的小颗粒二次碳化物,对580 ℃时效保温8 h的试样用SEM能谱及背散射电子像进行分析,见图6
图6(b)中可以看出,从奥氏体中弥散析出相确实为第二相,且与一次碳化物所表现出的第二相相似,可以确定在时效时从奥氏体中析出了细小弥散的二次碳化物。
对比正火工艺与时效工艺,正火工艺产生的二次碳化物明显偏大,但也不是说二次碳化物无限小就好,因为碳化物对接触疲劳寿命起着负作用的同时,还会增加钢的耐磨性,同时也能防止因奥氏体晶粒粗化而引起的疲劳寿命降低,所以就需要二次碳化物有最佳的颗粒度,减少其危害和发挥其有利作用。碳化物颗粒大小对接触疲劳寿命有着明显的影响,如图7所示,在相同的累积破坏率下细小碳化物的寿命比粗颗粒寿命要高[6]
综上所述,最终制定的导板制造工艺如下:出钢时加入0.1%的稀土做变质处理,加工后进行580 ℃保温8 h的时效处理。
高铬镍导板经过变质和时效的处理后,以前常发生的碎裂等异常失效得到了改善,小规格导板使用寿命由原来的平均700支提高到1 000支,大规格导板使用寿命由原来的平均1 000支提高到1 500支,降低了吨钢生产成本。
(1)通过添加稀土,可以阻碍晶界处碳化物生长,并将网状一次碳化物形态细化为不连续网状乃至颗粒状。
(2)变质处理后,通过580 ℃保温8 h的时效处理,从奥氏体中析出细小弥散的二次碳化物对提高导板寿命有显著作用。
