In the production process of 2 250 mm hot continuous rolling band steel, there would be a large number of warp defects at edge of low carbon steel. In order to reduce or avoid the occurrence of warp defect, its causes are analyzed from its morphology, the relation between generation of warp and edging draught of vertical roll of roughing mill, time in furnace and tapping temperature of slab as well as control of Mn/S for composition of slab. Finally, the corresponding countermeasures are formulated so that the occurrence rate of warp defect is reduced.

在2 250 mm热连轧带钢生产过程中,低碳钢会出现大量的边部翘皮缺陷,为了减少或避免翘皮缺陷的发生,从翘皮的形态、翘皮产生与粗轧机立辊侧压量的关系、板坯的在炉时间、出炉温度以及板坯成分的Mn/S比控制进行缺陷产生原因的分析,并制定了相应的解决措施,从而降低了翘皮缺陷的发生率。

In the production process of 2 250 mm hot continuous rolling band steel, there would be a large number of warp defects at edge of low carbon steel. In order to reduce or avoid the occurrence of warp defect, its causes are analyzed from its morphology, the relation between generation of warp and edging draught of vertical roll of roughing mill, time in furnace and tapping temperature of slab as well as control of Mn/S for composition of slab. Finally, the corresponding countermeasures are formulated so that the occurrence rate of warp defect is reduced.

热轧或冷轧钢板的表面缺陷是影响钢板质量的一个重要指标,这些表面缺陷主要包括翘皮、裂纹等,连铸坯在轧制过程中经常会出现这些缺陷,从而影响产品的成材率。特别是在低碳钢轧制时,近几年翘皮缺陷出现的数量明显增多,给企业生产造成严重的损失。本文结合生产现场的实际情况及对试验数据的分析发现,翘皮缺陷与板坯的Mn/S比控制、轧制时立辊的侧压量、板坯的在炉时间以及出炉温度有很大的关系。
在热连轧带钢生产过程中,低碳钢SPHC极易在边部出现翘皮缺陷,此缺陷的频繁发生不但会严重影响钢材成品的合格率、产品的外观,而且对材料的性能有很大的影响,严重时会导致材料失效,影响产品质量。典型的翘皮缺陷主要在钢板上表面沿轧制方向呈条状分布,大小不一,呈现为一端翘起脱离基体,另一端与钢板基体紧密相连。这种缺陷一般发生在距边部10 mm处,沿轧制方向平行于板卷边部,长度不等,有时断续出现。该缺陷有2种类型,一种是敞口缺陷,带有缺陷的SPHC热轧板卷经酸洗后,在酸洗板的下表面沿轧制方向呈敞口线条状[1],如图1所示。另一种是闭口缺陷,对原板酸洗后检查,未发现明显缺陷,但是在冷轧第3—5道次后开始出现线状缺陷,如图2所示。
低碳钢的边部缺陷是带钢表面产生翘皮缺陷的主要原因。图3为粗轧完成后中间坯边部状态图,中间坯进入F1轧制后侧边在带钢宽展过程中出现“翻边”[2],使得边部缺陷延伸到带钢的表面边部,并折叠压入带钢的基体[3],F1轧制完成后板坯的边部状态如图4所示。随着钢带进入F2轧机后,在轧制过程中“翻边”部分被压入带身边部,最终形成翘皮缺陷,F2轧制完成后板坯的边部状态如图5所示。
热轧过程中,立辊侧压量对带钢边部翘皮有严重影响[4]。当使用立辊进行调宽时,宽度调节量远小于板坯宽度,如果变形不能全部传递到板坯的中间位置,就会形成边部偏厚的“狗骨头”形状,粗轧中间坯边部产生凸起,凸起部位在冷却水的冲击下温度降低,进入低塑性区,在随后的轧制过程中发生局部撕裂,表现为线性翘皮[5]。调宽量较大时缺陷发生率比较低,主要原因是调宽量较大时,变形可进一步地传递到板坯的中间位置,可以降低边部凸起量。现场通过对55块中间坯不同立辊压下量进行测试,不同侧压量与缺陷发生率关系见表1
板坯的加热制度对控制轧制制度以及钢板的组织性能有非常重要的影响。依据金属热塑性加工特点,如果轧制过程中边部温度过低,就会导致边部提前发生相变,进而边部塑性降低,一旦变形量超出其塑性极限,就会形成边部裂纹,这种裂纹会在随后的轧制变形过程中形成翘皮。提高轧制温度虽然可以提高板坯塑性,降低轧制力,减少边部翘皮的产生,但是过高的温度会增加加热炉的负担,浪费燃料,增加烧损,还会影响带钢的机械性能。如果加热温度过高或者保温时间过长,有可能造成过热、过烧等加热缺陷,极大的影响产品质量。因此制定合适的温度是提高产品质量的一个重要方法[6]。现场通过设定不同的在炉时间、加热温度对板坯进行轧制,发生的缺陷情况见表2表3
板坯的Mn/S比低是造成边部缺陷的一个主要原因。硫是一种有害元素,它在钢中以FeS和MnS的形态存在。当板坯中Mn的含量较低、S的含量较高,即Mn/S比较低时,低碳钢在边角部的MnS富集并在晶界析出,如图6所示。特别是随着板坯温度的降低,晶界处会出现裂纹。粗轧机轧制以后的中间坯边部温度一般为900~1 000 ℃,此时中间坯进入精轧机轧制后边部更容易产生撕裂,使板坯边部的侧面呈现粗糙状态,造成边部缺陷。
图7为Mn/S比与缺陷发生率统计图。
(1)当Mn/S比≤15%时,缺陷率为75%;
(2)当Mn/S比为15%~20%时,缺陷率为22%;
(3)当Mn/S比为20%~25%时,缺陷率为30%;
(4)当Mn/S比为25%~30%时,缺陷率为40%;
(5)当Mn/S比为30%~35%时,缺陷率为23%;
(6)当Mn/S比为35%~40%时,缺陷率为11%。
(1)现场通过对55块中间坯进行不同立辊压下量的测试可以看出,加大立辊的减宽量,板坯边部的变形可进一步地传递到板坯的中间位置。降低边部凸起量可以使板坯边部的表面粗糙缺陷得到较大改善,翘皮缺陷出现的几率明显减低。
(2)通过统计可以看出,板坯的加热温度要控制在一定的范围内,在保证边部温度的前提下不易过高,板坯的加热时间也不宜过长,否则会使奥氏体晶粒粗大,导致带钢性能降低。板坯的在炉时间越长,出现缺陷的几率越大;板坯的在炉时间越短,出现缺陷的几率就越小。考虑到板坯的在炉时间、出炉温度对后续轧机轧制的影响,将板坯的在炉时间控制在250~300 min,出炉温度不高于1 260 ℃,可以明显地改善边部表面质量。提高边部的表面光滑度,翘皮缺陷发生情况明显减少。
(3)提高板坯的Mn/S比,可以有效地避免板坯在温度降低时边部裂纹,从而减少了中间坯进入精轧机时边部出现撕裂状况,可以明显改善板坯的边部缺陷。
(1)通过优化粗轧立辊的负荷分配模型,严格执行合理的侧压量,增加中间坯的立辊减宽量,精轧后边部表面质量得到了明显的提高。
(2)设定合理的在炉时间、加热温度,特别是降低出炉温度,翘皮缺陷发生率存在明显的下降趋势,板坯在炉时间短、出炉温度在1 200 ℃以下时缺陷明显减少。考虑到板坯的在炉时间、出炉温度对后续轧机轧制的影响,将板坯的在炉时间控制在250~300 min,出炉温度不高于1 260 ℃,可以明显的改善边部质量。
(3)锰和硫的亲和力较大,生成的高熔点MnS可取代FeS,这种取代随着钢中Mn/S比的增大而增加。因此,为减少裂纹,保证铸坯质量,尽量消除FeS共晶体的影响,通常规定钢中Mn/S比应在35%~40%之间。
