In this paper, it is briefly introduced the research and development and production processes of rare earth rails, summarized researches of rare earth rails in different periods as well as mainly introduced the technical specifications and industrial production of U76CrREH rail in TB/T 2344.1—2020 standard. U76CrREH rail is the rail with independent design, research and development and production of Baotou Steel as well as with the highest strength grade in China’s railways. The rare earth is mainly used to purify molten steel and refine microstructure in order to achieve the effect of improving fatigue life during service of rails. The industrial production requires narrow composition range as well as adopts such control technologies as low H and O to ensure internal metallurgical quality of rail; its tensile strength ≥1 280 MPa, tread hardness (HB)≥370, microstructure is pearlite and surface quality could meet the technical requirements of standard through adopting such technologies as rolling and cooling technologies of online heat treatment. The rail is applied on small radius curves in Urumqi and has been in service for over three months. The accumulated total through-put weight reaches 30 Mt as well as surface condition and wear of the rail are normal with side wear of 0~0.13 mm.

文章简述了稀土轨研发生产历程,对不同时期稀土轨研究做了简要总结。重点针对TB/T 2344.1—2020标准中U76CrREH钢轨技术规定及工业生产进行了介绍。U76CrREH是包钢自主设计和研发生产、我国铁路最高强度等级的钢轨。主要利用稀土净化钢水和细化显微组织,实现提高钢轨服役疲劳寿命的作用。工业生产从成分进行窄范围要求,采取低H、低O等控制技术,保证了钢轨内部冶金质量;通过采用轧制、在线热处理冷却技术,U76CrREH钢轨抗拉强度不低于1 280 MPa,踏面硬度(HB)不小于370,微观组织为珠光体,表面质量达到标准技术要求。钢轨在某局管内小半径曲线进行应用,服役三个多月,累计通过总重达到30 Mt,钢轨表面状态、磨耗等正常,侧磨为0~0.13 mm。

文章简述了稀土轨研发生产历程,对不同时期稀土轨研究做了简要总结。重点针对TB/T 2344.1—2020标准中U76CrREH钢轨技术规定及工业生产进行了介绍。U76CrREH是包钢自主设计和研发生产、我国铁路最高强度等级的钢轨。主要利用稀土净化钢水和细化显微组织,实现提高钢轨服役疲劳寿命的作用。工业生产从成分进行窄范围要求,采取低H、低O等控制技术,保证了钢轨内部冶金质量;通过采用轧制、在线热处理冷却技术,U76CrREH钢轨抗拉强度不低于1 280 MPa,踏面硬度(HB)不小于370,微观组织为珠光体,表面质量达到标准技术要求。钢轨在某局管内小半径曲线进行应用,服役三个多月,累计通过总重达到30 Mt,钢轨表面状态、磨耗等正常,侧磨为0~0.13 mm。

In this paper, it is briefly introduced the research and development and production processes of rare earth rails, summarized researches of rare earth rails in different periods as well as mainly introduced the technical specifications and industrial production of U76CrREH rail in TB/T 2344.1—2020 standard. U76CrREH rail is the rail with independent design, research and development and production of Baotou Steel as well as with the highest strength grade in China’s railways. The rare earth is mainly used to purify molten steel and refine microstructure in order to achieve the effect of improving fatigue life during service of rails. The industrial production requires narrow composition range as well as adopts such control technologies as low H and O to ensure internal metallurgical quality of rail; its tensile strength ≥1 280 MPa, tread hardness (HB)≥370, microstructure is pearlite and surface quality could meet the technical requirements of standard through adopting such technologies as rolling and cooling technologies of online heat treatment. The rail is applied on small radius curves in Urumqi and has been in service for over three months. The accumulated total through-put weight reaches 30 Mt as well as surface condition and wear of the rail are normal with side wear of 0~0.13 mm.

稀土作为一种特殊元素在钢轨中应用进行了大量研究和生产,国内包钢、攀钢、鞍钢、原武钢都进行了稀土轨试验研究,其中包钢依靠自身稀土资源特色,研究和形成BNbRE、U76CrRE等系列钢轨,进行了工业批量生产和线路应用。研究不同冶炼工艺加入的稀土对BNbRE钢轨钢夹杂物影响,表明稀土加入后主要作用为去除夹杂物和净化钢液,加稀土后夹杂物变粗变短,部分为球形或纺锤形(RE,Mn)S。研究发现钢中硫含量是影响重轨性能的重要因素,在低硫钢中,较少量的稀土就可以发挥相应的作用[1]。在实验室条件下研究表明,稀土可以细化热轧态奥氏体晶粒,随着稀土含量的增加,试验钢的珠光体片层间距先减小后增大[2]
随着铁路运输的重载化和高速化,对钢轨的性能要求也越来越高,各国对钢轨的研究主要集中在如何提高钢轨的抗磨性能方面[3]。U76CrRE钢轨在C、Si、Mn基础上加入一定量Cr、V、RE等元素,通过金属原子间隙固溶、置换固溶及细晶强化,改变了铁素体和珠光体本身的组分,增强了钢的力学性能。采用在线热处理生产工艺,细化钢的微观组织片层间距,进一步提高材料的力学性能,最终形成1 280 MPa级U76CrREH钢轨。
本文简述了稀土轨研究发展历程,重点对U76CrREH钢轨工业生产研究和试验结果进行阐述,并在某局线路应用情况进行跟踪观测,对U76CrREH钢轨线路服役廓形、磨耗等进行测量和探讨,最终提出U76CrREH钢轨未来研究和改善的建议。
20世纪90年代初,生产企业和高校等开展稀土轨试验和工业化应用,开展了稀土加入方式、加入量研究等工作。根据冶炼生产工艺和稀土加入方式不同,稀土轨研究主要分为三个阶段。第一阶段为1990—2003年模铸加稀土阶段。钢铁冶炼工艺采用模铸,以吊挂模式或中注管喂丝形式加入稀土,形成BNbRE稀土轨产品,并实现了工业应用。第二阶段为2004—2015年连铸加稀土丝阶段。炼钢采用转炉+连铸模式,形成典型BNbRE和U76CrRE稀土轨产品,成为我国铁路建设的主要钢轨产品。第三阶段为2015年至今连铸加高纯稀土合金研究性试验阶段。加入高品质纯稀土合金,达到改善和提高钢轨机械性能的目的。主要研究开发了重载铁路用新型高强热处理钢轨和特殊用途耐低温、耐腐蚀钢轨。具体稀土轨研究发展如图1所示。
U76CrREH钢轨的突出优点是相对合金成本低和高强度高耐磨性,性能等级适用于重载线路和小半径曲线。TB/T 2344.1—2020[4]规定U76CrREH钢轨主要性能表现在以下几个方面:①踏面硬度(HB)不小于370;②抗拉强度不低于1 280 MPa,断后伸长率不小于10%;③横断面硬度要求:距表面5 mm处检测第1点HRC≥37.0,最后一点HRC≥36.0;④钢轨全断面的显微组织应为珠光体,允许有少量的铁素体,不应有马氏体、贝氏体及晶界渗碳体;⑤残余应力、断裂韧性等指标应达到TB/T 2344.1—2020钢轨订货技术条件规定要求,具体详细指标见表1图2是横断面硬度测点位置示意图,第1点距表面5 mm,其余点间距均为5 mm;D、E线与下颚距离为5 mm;B、C线为A、D和A、E线的角平分线。
U76CrREH钢轨成分主要在C、Si、Mn基础上加入微量Cr、V元素。相关研究表明,Cr加入钢中,能固溶于铁素体中,提高铁素体强度,增加基体的强度和硬度,而且Cr能显著增加钢的淬透性和提高抗氧化能力,但需将Cr含量控制在0.30%以下,否则会增加回火脆性倾向。V与钢中的C、N构成难熔的碳化物和氮化物,小而硬的碳氮化合物能够起到细化晶粒、沉淀强化作用,从而提高钢的强度、韧性和耐磨性。
通过前期在实验室开展的钢种成分、工艺模拟与组织性能之间关系的试验,基本确定了C、Si、Mn等主元素含量水平,对比了钢中添加Cr、V后力学性能、硬度方面的变化情况。综合考虑钢的强韧性关系,C、Si按照标准中上限控制,Mn、Cr、V等元素按照中下限控制。设计成分详见表2
U76CrREH钢轨生产工艺流程:铁水预处理→转炉冶炼→LF精炼→VD真空处理→连铸→加热→轧制→热处理→矫直→探伤→检查→加工→入库。工业生产对U76CrREH在线热处理钢轨的拉伸性能及硬度、脱碳层、非金属夹杂物、显微组织、低倍组织等项目进行检验分析,各项检验结果满足标准要求。
表3表4可知,U76CrREH在线热处理钢轨拉伸性能、轨顶面硬度、横断面硬度、脱碳层均满足TB/T 2344.1—2020标准要求。
按照标准要求,对U76CrREH在线热处理钢轨显微组织进行检验,显微组织均为珠光加少量铁素体。夹杂物最大为A类1.5级,B、C类夹杂物均控制在1级以下,无大颗粒夹杂物,均符合TB/T 2344.1—2020标准要求,典型显微组织形貌如图3所示。
按照标准对钢轨进行夹杂物评级,见表5。由表5可知,60 kg/m U76CrREH在线热处理钢轨A类夹杂物最大为1.5级,B类夹杂物最大为1级,C、D类夹杂物最大为1.5级,DS类夹杂物最大为1.0级,且A+B+C≤4.0级,满足TB/T 2344.1—2020标准要求,其典型夹杂物形貌如图4所示。
在某局R300和R350半径曲线铺设U76CrREH钢轨,该线路年通货总重约100 Mt。对服役钢轨进行跟踪观察,线路服役约3个月,累计通过总重约30 Mt。
钢轨服役过程中与列车车轮有接触,钢轨承受列车运行的速度方向力及承载重力等,受力状态复杂,为保证列车运行过程中安全性和钢轨长寿化服役,服役早期对运行钢轨进行预打磨,主要对表面脱碳层软组织进行去除。U76CrREH运行45天后进行打磨,通过图5可以看出,打磨后钢轨表面存在加工硬化和轮轨接触的光亮带,整体钢轨表面未有裂纹和剥离掉块等伤损。但在缓圆处下股钢轨踏面中心存在不连续、浅表层剥离起裂现象,对比内外股磨耗,考虑列车运行受力基本由内股承担,后续超高设置方面也解释了该现象的产生。
通过货总重30 Mt后,从图6表6看出钢轨垂直、侧面磨耗均较小。垂直磨耗平均值曲线内轨为0.944 mm,外轨为1.078 mm,最大垂直磨耗在曲线外股,为1.49 mm;侧面磨耗平均值:内轨为0.024 mm,外轨为0.048 mm,钢轨最大侧磨在曲线外股,为0.08 mm,主要磨损为垂直磨损。整条曲线光亮带正常且表面光亮平滑,光亮带宽度(含打磨宽度)在42~50 mm,最大值在内股处,除缓圆处存在踏面中心剥离,其他位置未发现任何钢轨伤损。
使用便携式硬度计对服役钢轨工作面进行硬度测量,钢轨踏面硬化层硬度(HB)为407~441,大部分硬化层硬度相比初始出厂增加30,相比目前通过量,目前加工硬度增加值偏大。
U76CrREH钢轨工业生产后,拉伸性能、硬度、组织等均能达到TB/T 2344.1—2020标准要求,稀土对提高钢轨钢纯净度、夹杂物变性等作用从工业生产数据未有显著的表现。考虑核伤一直是重载高强度钢轨关注的问题,稀土在重轨钢中的作用原理、稀土加入量和稀土加入方式等还需进一步研究。
在小半径R300曲线服役的钢轨廓形、硬度、轨面进行跟踪观察,钢轨内外股基本都没有磨耗,内股受线路超高设计原因,缓圆处轨面中心出现起裂,其他位置轨面状态正常;同时半径R350曲线处钢轨服役正常,没有任何伤损。因此,稀土轨在线路服役过程中还需重点优化材质性能,并结合线路通车类型、超高、坡度、温度等进行深入研究,更好的解决线路问题。
