In the paper, the effects of adding dolomite, soft burnt dolomite and serpentine into infrared micro sintering furnace with different content levels of MgO on such properties as the fluidity of liquid phase and strength of bonding phase for iron ore powder are studied. The results showed that the sintering properties of adding soft burnt dolomite were superior to those of adding dolomite and serpentine, which mainly manifested in suitable fluidity index of liquid phase for iron ore powder within 0.6~1.2 at 1 280 ℃, the highest strength of bonding phase was 476.6 N and appropriate content of MgO was 2.0%. The sinter pot test results showed that the sinter added with soft burnt dolomite was with such advantages as high low temperature reduction degradation index, narrow drippage interval and small maximum pressure differences. The sintering of adding soft burnt dolomite is considered to be more beneficial to improving metallurgical properties of sinter based on the comprehensive comparisons of sintering properties of such three magnesium fluxes as the dolomite, soft burnt dolomite and serpentine.

采用红外微型烧结炉对配加白云石、轻烧白云石和蛇纹石在不同MgO含量水平下对铁矿粉的液相流动性和粘结相强度性能的影响进行了研究,结果表明:配加轻烧白云石的烧结性能要优于配加白云石和蛇纹石,主要表现在1 280 ℃铁矿粉液相流动性指数适宜,介于0.6~1.2的范围内,粘结相强度最高为476.6 N,适宜的MgO含量为2.0%。烧结杯试验结果显示,配加轻烧白云石的烧结矿,具有低温还原粉化指数高、滴落区间窄和最大压差低的优点。综合比较白云石、轻烧白云石和蛇纹石三种镁质熔剂的烧结性能,认为烧结配加轻烧白云石更有利于烧结矿冶金性能的改善。

采用红外微型烧结炉对配加白云石、轻烧白云石和蛇纹石在不同MgO含量水平下对铁矿粉的液相流动性和粘结相强度性能的影响进行了研究,结果表明:配加轻烧白云石的烧结性能要优于配加白云石和蛇纹石,主要表现在1 280 ℃铁矿粉液相流动性指数适宜,介于0.6~1.2的范围内,粘结相强度最高为476.6 N,适宜的MgO含量为2.0%。烧结杯试验结果显示,配加轻烧白云石的烧结矿,具有低温还原粉化指数高、滴落区间窄和最大压差低的优点。综合比较白云石、轻烧白云石和蛇纹石三种镁质熔剂的烧结性能,认为烧结配加轻烧白云石更有利于烧结矿冶金性能的改善。

In the paper, the effects of adding dolomite, soft burnt dolomite and serpentine into infrared micro sintering furnace with different content levels of MgO on such properties as the fluidity of liquid phase and strength of bonding phase for iron ore powder are studied. The results showed that the sintering properties of adding soft burnt dolomite were superior to those of adding dolomite and serpentine, which mainly manifested in suitable fluidity index of liquid phase for iron ore powder within 0.6~1.2 at 1 280 ℃, the highest strength of bonding phase was 476.6 N and appropriate content of MgO was 2.0%. The sinter pot test results showed that the sinter added with soft burnt dolomite was with such advantages as high low temperature reduction degradation index, narrow drippage interval and small maximum pressure differences. The sintering of adding soft burnt dolomite is considered to be more beneficial to improving metallurgical properties of sinter based on the comprehensive comparisons of sintering properties of such three magnesium fluxes as the dolomite, soft burnt dolomite and serpentine.

烧结熔剂按成分可分为钙质熔剂和镁质熔剂,钙质熔剂主要有石灰石、生石灰、消石灰等;镁质熔剂主要有白云石、轻烧白云石、高镁粉和蛇纹石等[1]。烧结过程添加镁质熔剂,一方面可以改善烧结矿低温还原粉化性能,提高烧结矿软化、熔融温度等;另一方面从高炉冶炼的角度,可以增加炉缸热储备,改善炉渣理化性能,有利于低硫、低硅生铁冶炼[2-3]。近年来,我国烧结矿大部分以高碱度、高SiO2烧结矿为主,MgO在烧结矿中的作用主要是为了高炉适宜的MgO、Al2O3比控制,尤其对于包钢白云鄂博特殊矿冶炼,高MgO含量烧结矿有利于高炉炉渣排碱和脱硫。然而,由于镁质熔剂的种类和化学成分不同,其对烧结过程形成的液相特征也表现出一定的差异性,对烧结过程的影响也不一致,因此,有必要就烧结配加不同种类镁质熔剂的烧结性能进行研究,以优化烧结镁质熔剂结构,为烧结过程配加合理的镁质熔剂及适宜的MgO含量提供理论指导和技术依据。
烧结工艺过程配加的镁质熔剂种类很多,一般而言,白云石、轻烧白云石和蛇纹石是烧结工艺常用的镁质熔剂,其化学成分见表1
白云石:分子式为CaMg(CO3)2,属钙镁碳酸盐,具有MgO含量偏低和烧损较高的特点。在烧结过程中易发生分解反应,吸收热量,会使烧结固体燃料消耗量增加。
轻烧白云石:在煅烧白云石工艺基础上经过破碎和加湿处理而得,与白云石相比,具有颗粒均匀细小的特点,矿化反应性能好,有利于烧结过程液相的生成和均匀分布[4-5]
蛇纹石:分子式为Mg6(Si4O10)(OH)8,属高镁硅酸盐,具有MgO含量高,烧损低的特点。
铁矿石的烧结基础特性包括同化性、液相流动性、粘结相强度、连晶特性及和铁酸钙生成特性等五种高温性能,是评价铁矿石对烧结过程以及烧结矿质量影响的基本指标。由于MgO含量主要体现在对铁矿粉的液相流动性和粘结相强度上,因此本研究只考虑镁质熔剂对铁矿粉液相流动性和粘结相强度的影响。试验方法分别在铁矿粉中配加不同比例的白云石、轻烧白云石和蛇纹石,控制铁矿粉MgO含量分别在1.5%、2.0%、2.5%的水平,分析铁矿粉液相流动性指数和粘结相强度随温度和MgO含量的变化规律。
铁矿粉液相流动性指铁矿石在烧结生产过程中与CaO反应生成的液相的流动能力,它表征铁矿石在烧结过程中粘结相的“有效粘结范围”。液相流动性测定方法:采用“基于流动面积的黏度测定方法”,将小于0.15 mm的CaO和铁矿粉按二元碱度4.0配成烧结粘附粉,混匀后压制成小饼。根据试验设定的升温曲线(最高1 280 ℃,恒温4 min)和试验气氛在微型烧结装置中进行烧结。随着温度的逐渐升高,试样开始形成低熔点化合物,当烧结温度达到该化合物的熔化温度时试样逐渐瘫软,液相开始生成,随着温度的继续升高,过热度增大,液相逐渐呈流动状态,试样的垂直投影面积变大。试验结束,冷却后取出测定小饼烧结前后的面积,根据试样流动后的面积来确定其流动性。流动性指数按下式进行计算:

试验分别针对白云石、轻烧白云石、蛇纹石三种镁质熔剂,探究不同温度(1 260 ℃、1 280 ℃、1 300 ℃、1 320 ℃)和不同MgO含量(1.5%、2.0%、2.5%)在碱度为4.0的条件下,对铁矿粉液流动性能的影响。结果如图1图2所示。
图1可知,在MgO含量一定的情况下,配加白云石、轻烧白云石和蛇纹石的铁矿粉在1 260~1 320 ℃的温度范围内,铁矿粉液相流动性指数与温度之间呈现出明显的正相关关系,液相流动性随温度提高显著增加。
图2可知:
(1)在不同温度和不同MgO含量条件下,配加蛇纹石对铁矿粉液相流动性能影响最大,其液相流动性指数是配加白云石和轻烧白云石的一倍多。这是由于蛇纹石属于高镁硅酸盐,烧损低,矿化反应充分,液相生成能力强所致[6-7]
(2)在相不同温度和不同MgO含量条件下,配加轻烧白云石的液相流动性能略优于配加白云石,且随着温度升高,这种性能差异越大。这是由于轻烧白云石粒度均匀、细小,矿化反应充分,有利于液相的生成。
(3)当MgO含量为2.0%时,配加白云石和轻烧白云石的铁矿粉液相流动性能最优,当MgO含量为2.5%时,液相流动性指数下降。这是由于MgO属于高熔点物质,随着MgO含量增加,烧结矿矿物组成和结构发生变化,难熔物相的形成使得烧结粘结相的形成温度升高,导致形成的液相黏度变大,液相流动性能变差[8-9]
铁矿粉粘结相强度指铁矿石在烧结生产过程中能够形成的液相对其周围的核矿石进行固结的能力,它对烧结矿的强度有至关重要的影响。粘结相强度测定方法:将小于0.15 mm的CaO和铁矿粉按二元碱度2.0配成烧结粘附粉,混匀后压制成小饼,根据试验设定的升温曲线(最高1 280 ℃,恒温4 min)和试验气氛在微型烧结装置中进行烧结。冷却后取出测定小饼的抗压强度,以此评价铁矿粉粘结相的自身强度。配加不同镁质熔剂的铁矿粉粘结相强度如图3所示。
图3可知:
(1)配加不同种类镁质熔剂,随着MgO含量增加,铁矿粉粘结相强度均表现出一致的变化规律,即铁矿粉粘结相强度随着MgO含量增加均表现出先增加后降低的规律,当MgO含量为2.0%时,铁矿粉的粘结相强度达到峰值,当MgO含量为2.5%时,粘结相强度降低。这是由于MgO熔点较高,在相同的镁质熔剂配加条件下,随着MgO含量增加,液相黏度增大,流动性降低;当MgO含量为2.0%时,低熔点物质生成较多,液相流动性最大,液相粘结周围物料的固结能力达到最高,因此粘结相强度在MgO含量为2.0%时达到峰值;当MgO含量继续增加至2.5%时,烧结矿物相组成变复杂,矿相结构均匀性降低,易形成以玻璃相形式存在的橄榄石类矿物,该类矿物在冷凝时应力集中,使玻璃相产生裂纹[10-12],且烧结液相黏度增大,流动性能变差,导致液相粘结周围物料的能力和强度变差,粘结相强度降低。单从镁质熔剂对铁矿粉粘结相强度的影响角度分析,白云石、轻烧白云石和蛇纹石的适宜MgO含量应控制为2.0%的水平。
(2)在相同MgO含量的条件下,配加三种镁质熔剂的铁矿粉粘结相强度排序为轻烧白云石、白云石、蛇纹石。单从铁矿粉粘结相强度的角度分析,配加轻烧白云石有利于粘结相强度的提高。
分别在相同的铁矿粉中配加不同比例的白云石、轻烧白云石和蛇纹石,分析烧结矿冶金性能的变化,方案编号分别为B、Q、S。采用直径200 mm烧结杯,料层厚度为700 mm,点火负压为4.9 kPa,烧结负压为9.8 kPa,烧结矿碱度控制为2.0,MgO含量为2.0%,SiO2含量为4.9%。
配加不同镁质熔剂的烧结技术指标见表2
表2可知,配加白云石、轻烧白云石和蛇纹石三种镁质熔剂对烧结技术指标的影响主要体现在固体燃耗和转鼓强度上,其中配加蛇纹石的固体燃耗较配加白云石和轻烧白云石低约5 kg/t,转鼓强度高约4个百分点。这是由于白云石和轻烧白云石烧损高,在高温烧结过程中易发生分解反应,吸收热量多,不利于MgO的矿化反应,不仅使得烧结过程的高温保持时间延长,固体燃料消耗增加,而且由于结晶水分解使得烧结矿孔隙率增加,易形成大孔薄壁结构[13-15],导致烧结矿转鼓强度降低。而蛇纹石在高温烧结过程中发生分解反应生成镁橄榄石,镁橄榄石重结晶形成低熔点粘结相,并发生放热效应,促进了烧结过程中MgO的矿化反应,粘结相产生量增加,改善了矿物结晶行为和过程[16-18],烧结矿转鼓强度提高。
通过比较配加白云石、轻烧白云石和蛇纹石三种镁质熔剂的烧结技术指标可知,配加蛇纹石有利于降低烧结固体燃耗和提高转鼓强度。
烧结矿冶金性能包括低温还原粉化指数RDI+3.15 mm和软融性能[19]。烧结矿低温还原粉化实验采用GB/T 13242—1991标准。软融性能采用包钢的检测方法,烧结矿试样及焦炭粒度均为10~12.5 mm粒级,试验过程升温速度模拟高炉内炉料的升温速度,主要分为3个阶段,分别为0~1 000 ℃,10 ℃/min(100 min);1 000~1 100 ℃,2 ℃/min(50 min);大于1 100 ℃,5 ℃/min。试验期间,温度在500 ℃以下通4 L/min的N2,温度达到500 ℃以上通入4 L/min的混合煤气(30%CO +70%N2)至试验结束。试验荷重为1.0 kg/cm2,相当于2 000 m3级高炉软熔带部位的荷重[20]。配加不同镁质熔剂的烧结矿冶金性能见表3
表3可知,配加白云石的烧结矿还原性(RI)最低,最大压差(△Pmax)高达17 801 Pa,不能满足高炉冶炼需求;配加蛇纹石的烧结矿低温还原粉化指数(RDI+3.15 mm)最低,为70.6%,且滴落区间(TD-TS)较宽,最大压差最低。三种镁质熔剂中,配加轻烧白云石的烧结矿冶金性能指标最优,主要体现在烧结矿低温还原粉化指数(RDI+3.15 mm)最高,滴落区间(TD-TS)最窄,以及最大压差(△Pmax)最低。
从镁质熔剂对烧结矿冶金性能的影响分析,配加轻烧白云石有利于低温还原粉化的提高和最大压差(△Pmax)的降低,高炉冶炼过程中料柱透气性得到改善[21-23]
(1)从化学成分的角度分析,三种镁质熔剂中,蛇纹石具有MgO和SiO2含量高且烧损低的特点,适宜用于需要补充SiO2和MgO含量的烧结铁料结构。
(2)镁质熔剂对铁矿粉烧结基础特性的影响主要表现在液相流动性能和粘结相强度。研究表明,在不同的烧结温度条件下,当MgO含量为2.0%时,配加三种镁质熔剂的液相流动指数和粘结相强度均达到最优,对铁矿粉液相流动性指数影响大小排序为蛇纹石、轻烧白云石、白云石,其中蛇纹石对铁矿粉液相流动性影响最大,其液相流动性指数是配加白云石和轻烧白云石的一倍多;对铁矿粉粘结相强度的影响大小排序为轻烧白云石、白云石、蛇纹石。比较三种镁质熔剂在不同MgO含量条件下对铁矿粉基础特性的影响可知,烧结配加镁质熔剂适宜的MgO含量应控制在2.0%的水平,其中配加轻烧白云石的烧结试样液相流动性和粘结相强度性能最优。
(3)配加镁质熔剂的烧结杯试验研究表明,烧结配加蛇纹石有利于烧结矿转鼓强度提高,固体燃耗降低;配加轻烧白云石的烧结矿具有良好的冶金性能,主要表现在烧结矿低温还原粉化指数(RDI+3.15mm)最高,为79.7%,滴落区间(TD-TS)最窄,为234 ℃,最大压差(△Pmax)最低,为10 643 Pa,有利于高炉冶炼过程料柱透气性的改善,促进高炉顺行稳定。烧结生产实践过程中,应根据自身烧结工艺特点和烧结矿性能选择适宜的镁质熔剂进行配加。
