The stock of medium-lean oxidized ore in Bayan Obo is huge as well as its degree of oxidation and impurity content are high. Among them, iron and rare earth are the main recovered components. The grade of iron is 28.74%, content of FeO is 1.99% and grade of rare earth is 5.45%. The iron in the ore mainly exists in forms of hematite and limonite and magnetic iron as well as the distribution ratios are 48.54% and 43.84% respectively. The qualified iron concentrate with grade of iron concentrate of 66.07% and gross recovery of iron of 87.47% is obtained by studying the ore properties of medium-lean oxidized ore in Bayan Obo as well as exploring and recycling its iron resource with the process of “preconcentration-hydrogen-based mineral phase transformation-stage grinding-stage magnetic separation”. This method is beneficial to the full utilization of iron resources and improving the utilization rate of mine resources.

白云鄂博中贫氧化矿存量巨大,氧化程度高,杂质含量高,其中铁和稀土为主要回收成分,铁品位为28.74%,FeO含量为1.99%,稀土品位为5.45%,矿石中的铁主要以赤褐铁及磁性铁形式存在,分布率分别为48.54%及43.84%。针对白云鄂博中贫氧化矿开展矿石性质研究,探索回收其中铁资源,采用“预富集—氢基矿相转化—阶段磨矿—阶段磁选”工艺,可以获得铁精矿品位为66.07%、铁总回收率为87.47%的合格铁精矿,该方法有利于铁资源充分利用,提高了矿山资源利用率。

白云鄂博中贫氧化矿存量巨大,氧化程度高,杂质含量高,其中铁和稀土为主要回收成分,铁品位为28.74%,FeO含量为1.99%,稀土品位为5.45%,矿石中的铁主要以赤褐铁及磁性铁形式存在,分布率分别为48.54%及43.84%。针对白云鄂博中贫氧化矿开展矿石性质研究,探索回收其中铁资源,采用“预富集—氢基矿相转化—阶段磨矿—阶段磁选”工艺,可以获得铁精矿品位为66.07%、铁总回收率为87.47%的合格铁精矿,该方法有利于铁资源充分利用,提高了矿山资源利用率。

The stock of medium-lean oxidized ore in Bayan Obo is huge as well as its degree of oxidation and impurity content are high. Among them, iron and rare earth are the main recovered components. The grade of iron is 28.74%, content of FeO is 1.99% and grade of rare earth is 5.45%. The iron in the ore mainly exists in forms of hematite and limonite and magnetic iron as well as the distribution ratios are 48.54% and 43.84% respectively. The qualified iron concentrate with grade of iron concentrate of 66.07% and gross recovery of iron of 87.47% is obtained by studying the ore properties of medium-lean oxidized ore in Bayan Obo as well as exploring and recycling its iron resource with the process of “preconcentration-hydrogen-based mineral phase transformation-stage grinding-stage magnetic separation”. This method is beneficial to the full utilization of iron resources and improving the utilization rate of mine resources.

白云鄂博铁矿在开矿之初堆存了大量的中贫氧化矿,目前存量尚有约1 500万t。这批原矿铁品位在30%左右,稀土品位约为5.5%,萤石品位约为15%~20%。白云博宇公司和宝山矿业均曾将其应用于选铁生产中,但是由于氧化程度高,现有工艺回收率低,仅能达到50%左右,且杂质含量高,尤其是氟、钾、钠等难以控制,选别指标不能满足需求。所以如能将此部分原矿高效利用,经济效益和社会效益都是非常巨大的[1]
东北大学采用“氢基矿相转化—弱磁选工艺”对鞍钢、宝武、酒钢、山钢等10余种难选铁矿石进行中试试验,试验结果表明:该技术对于氧化矿选矿,铁精矿品位可提高1~9个百分点,回收率提高15个百分点以上[2-3]。为探索该工艺能否进一步提高铁精矿品位及回收率,降低铁精矿中杂质含量,试验采用“预富集—氢基矿相转化—弱磁选”工艺对白云鄂博中贫氧化矿开展研究,以提高铁资源利用率。
矿样为白云鄂博中贫氧化矿原矿,化学成分分析见表1,铁物相分析见表2,XRD分析见图1
表1可知,原矿中铁和稀土为主要回收成分,铁品位为28.74%,FeO含量为1.99%,稀土品位为5.45%,F含量为9.30%,SiO2含量为9.76%,CaO和MgO含量分别为19.14%、1.49%,Al2O3含量为1.10%,有害元素S、P含量分别为0.53%、0.50%,K2O、Na2O含量分别为0.49%、0.47%,烧损为6.09%。XRD分析与铁物相分析结果表明原矿中有用矿物主要为铁矿物、氟碳铈矿、独居石及萤石,其中铁矿物主要为赤铁矿和磁铁矿。矿石中的铁主要以赤、褐铁及磁性铁形式存在,分布率分别为48.54%及43.84%;硅酸铁中铁的分布率为4.25%,碳酸铁中铁的分布率为1.70%,硫化铁中铁的分布率为1.67%。因此,原矿中铁矿物的主要回收对象为赤、褐铁矿和磁铁矿。
针对中贫氧化矿进行预富集磨矿细度条件试验,试验流程如图2所示。预富集工艺参数为:磨矿细度为-0.074 mm含量50%~90%,弱磁选场强为1 000 Oe,强磁选场强为8 000 Oe。试验结果如图3所示。
图3可知,当原矿磨矿细度-0.074 mm含量由50%提高至90%时,预富集铁精矿(即弱磁铁精矿与强磁铁精矿混合精矿)铁品位由38.51%升高至43.44%,铁回收率由93.13%降低至91.19%;预富集铁精矿中稀土含量在5.16%~5.30%范围内波动,稀土回收率由63.21%降低至55.61%;预富集抛尾产率由31.03%升高至38.44%,强磁尾矿中稀土含量在6.59%~6.78%范围内波动。综合考虑确定合适的预富集磨矿细度为-0.074 mm含量60%。
针对原矿进行预富集强磁场强条件试验,试验流程如图4所示,预富集工艺参数为:强磁选场强为4 000~11 000 Oe,磨矿细度为-0.074 mm含量60%,弱磁选场强1 000 Oe。试验结果如图5所示。
图5可知,随着强磁场强由4 000 Oe升至11 000 Oe,预富集铁精矿铁品位由42.49%降低至39.20%,铁回收率由89.17%升高至93.91%,抛尾产率由40.22%降低至30.98%。为了保证工业现场具有较高的铁回收率,故确定采用两段强磁选工艺回收铁矿物,即原矿磨矿后进行弱磁选回收强磁性铁矿物,弱磁尾矿进行强磁粗选,粗选场强定为6 000 Oe,强磁粗选尾矿进行强磁扫选,强磁扫选场强定为10 000 Oe。
针对预富集铁精矿开展还原温度条件试验,固定氢基矿相转化工艺条件为:还原气浓度为20%,还原气为CO、H2混合气体,CO与H2比例为1∶3,还原时间为30 min,总气体流量为600 mL/min。焙烧矿磨矿细度为-0.038 mm含量95%,磁选管磁场强度为1 000 Oe,试验结果如图6所示。
图6可知,随着还原温度的升高,精矿铁品位呈波动式上升趋势,而精矿铁作业回收率呈先波动上升后显著下降的趋势,当还原温度由350 ℃升高至550 ℃时,精矿铁品位在64.10%~65.56%范围内波动,继续提高还原温度至600 ℃时,精矿铁品位升至66.65%;精矿铁作业回收率在还原温度为400 ℃以下时均较低,当还原温度在400~550 ℃范围时,精矿铁作业回收率在91.65%~93.97%范围内波动,继续提高还原温度,精矿铁作业回收率显著下降。综合考虑确定适宜的还原温度为425 ℃,此时可获得铁精矿品位为65.56%、铁作业回收率为93.68%的技术指标。
针对预富集铁精矿开展还原时间条件试验,固定氢基矿相转化工艺条件为:还原温度为425 ℃,还原气为CO、H2混合气体,CO与H2比例为1∶3,还原气浓度为20%,总气体流量600 mL/min。焙烧矿磨矿细度为-0.038 mm含量95%,磁选管磁场强度为1 000 Oe,试验结果如图7所示。
图7可知,随着还原时间由10 min延长至30 min,精矿铁品位由62.32%升高至64.94%,精矿铁作业回收率由89.25%升高至92.86%,继续延长还原时间,精矿铁品位保持在63.56%~64.56%范围内,铁作业回收率保持在91.98%~93.63%范围内,故确定适宜的还原时间为30 min。
针对预富集铁精矿开展还原气浓度条件试验,固定氢基矿相转化工艺条件为:还原温度为425 ℃,还原气为混合气体(CO与H2比例为1∶3),还原时间为30 min,总气量600 mL/min。焙烧矿磨矿细度-0.038 mm含量95%,磁选管磁场强度1 000 Oe,试验结果如图8所示。
图8可知,随着还原气浓度由10%升高至30%,精矿铁品位由63.89%升高至65.26%,精矿铁作业回收率由90.76%升高至92.46%,继续增加还原气浓度,精矿铁品位和铁作业回收率变化不大,故适宜的还原气浓度为30%。
针对预富集铁精矿开展还原气氛条件试验,固定氢基矿相转化工艺条件为:还原温度为425 ℃,还原气浓度为30%,还原气为混合气体(模拟煤制气CO与H2比例为2∶1)、天然气裂解(CO与H2比例为1∶3)、高炉煤气(CO浓度为100%)、焦炉煤气(H2浓度100%),还原时间为3.0 min,总气体流量为600 mL/min。焙烧矿磨矿细度为-0.038 mm含量95%,磁选管磁场强度为1 000 Oe,试验结果如图9所示。
图9可知,在不同还原气氛下,精矿铁品位均能达到64%以上,铁作业回收率保持在90.99%~91.77%范围内,四种不同还原气氛下获得的磁选铁精矿技术指标差别不大。
对矿相转化后矿物性质进行分析,化学成分见表3,铁物相分析见表4,XRD分析见图10
表3表4可知,矿相转化后矿物中的铁主要以磁性铁的形式存在,铁分布率为86.57%;其次以赤、褐铁矿的形式存在,铁分布率为8.98%;少量铁以硅酸铁的形式存在,铁分布率为2.29%,碳酸铁和硫化铁的含量较少,铁分布率均小于2%。与预富集铁精矿物相结果对比分析可知,矿石经氢基矿相转化后,赤、褐铁矿含量明显减少,磁性铁矿物含量明显增加,进一步表明氢基矿相转化可将矿石中大部分中弱磁性矿物转变为强磁性铁矿物。
针对矿相转化后矿物开展磨矿细度条件试验。固定氢基矿相转化工艺条件为:还原温度为425 ℃,还原气浓度为30%,还原气为混合气体(CO与H2比例为1∶3),还原时间为30 min,总气量600 mL/min,磁选管磁场强度1 000 Oe,试验结果如图11所示。
图11可知,随着磨矿细度-0.038 mm含量由60%升至95%,精矿铁品位由60.36%升至63.17%,而精矿铁作业回收率变化不大,在92.23%~93.56%范围内波动。为了保证获得较高质量的铁精矿,故确定焙烧矿适宜的磨矿细度为-0.038 mm含量为95%。
针对矿相转化后矿物开展磁场强度条件试验。固定氢基矿相转化工艺条件为:还原温度为425 ℃,还原气浓度为30%,还原气为混合气体(CO与H2比例为1∶3),还原时间为30 min,总气体流量为600 mL/min。磨矿细度为-0.038 mm含量95%,采用磁选管进行磁选。磁场强度条件试验结果如图12所示。
图12可知,磁场强度对铁精矿品位和作业回收率影响不大,当磁场强度由800 Oe升高至1 800 Oe时,精矿铁品位在63.61%~63.78%范围内波动,精矿铁作业回收率在92.50%~94.38%范围内波动,综合考虑磁选场强为1 500 Oe,可获得精矿铁品位为63.68%、铁作业回收率为94.38%的技术指标。
针对矿相转化后矿物磁选产品进行化学成分分析,结果如表5所示。
表5可知,预富集精矿经矿相转化—磨选后,磁选铁精矿铁品位可提高至63.68%,FeO含量为23.72%,F含量为0.93%,其他杂质含量较低;磁选尾矿铁品位降低至6.34%,CaO含量升高至21.13%,主要杂质为SiO2,其含量为19.34%。
为进一步提高铁精矿技术指标,针对矿相转化后矿物开展阶段磨矿—阶段磁选试验。参考一段磨选试验结果,固定磨矿—磁选试验条件为:一段磨矿细度为-0.074 mm含量90%,一段磁选管场强为1 000 Oe,二段磨矿细度为-0.038 mm含量95%,二段磁选管场强为1 000 Oe,选别时间5 min。试验结果如表6所示。
表6可知,经过阶段磨矿—阶段磁选后,可获得铁精矿总产率为38.05%、铁品位为66.07%、铁总回收率为87.47%、F含量为0.30%的技术指标。
针对阶段磨矿—阶段磁选铁精矿进行化学成分分析,结果如表7所示。
表7可知,磁选铁精矿中铁品位和FeO含量分别为66.07%、25.41%,SiO2含量为1.68%,CaO、F含量分别为2.21%、0.30%,稀土品位为1.28%;其他成分MgO、Al2O3含量分别为0.54%、0.21%,有害元素S、P含量分别为0.11%、0.06%,K2O及Na2O含量分别为0.03%、0.02%。
针对预富集铁精矿开展了氢基矿相转化—分选实验室试验,确定了氢基矿相转化工艺参数为:还原温度为425 ℃,还原时间为30 min,还原气浓度为30%。焙烧矿选别工艺参数为:一段磨矿细度为-0.074 mm含量90%,一段磁选场强为1 000 Oe,二段磨矿细度为-0.038 mm含量95%,二段磁选场强为1 000 Oe。
预富集—氢基矿相转化—分选实验室试验数质量流程如图13所示。
图13可知,采用预富集—氢基矿相转化—阶段磨矿—阶段磁选工艺对原矿进行实验室分选试验,可获得精矿铁品位为66.07%、铁总回收率为87.47%、F含量为0.30%的技术指标。
(1)矿样多元素分析表明,原矿中铁品位为28.74%,XRD分析与铁物相分析结果表明原矿中有用矿物主要为铁矿物、氟碳铈矿、独居石及萤石,其中铁矿物主要为赤铁矿和磁铁矿。矿石中的铁主要以赤、褐铁及磁性铁形式存在,分布率分别为48.54%及43.84%;硅酸铁中铁的分布率为4.25%,碳酸铁中铁的分布率为1.70%,硫化铁中铁的分布率为1.67%。因此,原矿中主要回收铁矿物对象为赤、褐铁矿和磁铁矿。
(2)预富集铁精矿氢基矿相转化实验室试验结果表明,适宜的工艺参数为还原温度425 ℃、还原时间30 min、还原气(CO与H2比例为1∶3)浓度30%。
(3)采用预富集—氢基矿相转化—阶段磨矿—阶段磁选工艺对原矿进行实验室分选试验,可获得精矿铁品位为66.07%、铁总回收率为87.47%、F含量为0.30%的技术指标。该方法有利于铁资源充分利用,提高了矿山资源的利用效率,对类似性质铁矿选矿具有重要的借鉴意义。
