In order to meet the demands of heavy haul railways as well as make full use of the functions of chromium and niobium in steel, the high carbon rail for heavy haul railway is researched and developed by adding such strengthening elements as chromium and rare earth into high carbon rail steels through smelting the test steel with laboratory furnace and performance study. The performance indexes of rail are that the tensile strength is not less than 1 330 MPa, elongation is not less than 9%, tread hardness of rail head (HBW) is not less than 390 and other properties could meet the requirements of standard BT/T 2344—2012. The results of trial production showed that the production process of the rail was trouble free and performances could meet the technical requirements, which could satisfy the needs of heavy haul railway.

为满足重载铁路需求,充分利用铬、铌在钢中的作用,通过实验室小炉试验钢冶炼和性能研究,在高碳钢轨钢中加入铬等强化元素和稀土,研制开发了高碳重载铁路用钢轨。钢轨性能指标:抗拉强度不小于1 330 MPa,延伸率不小于9%,轨头踏面硬度(HBW)不小于390,其他性能满足BT/T 2344—2012标准要求。试制结果表明,该钢轨生产工艺顺行,性能达到技术要求,满足重载线路的需要。

为满足重载铁路需求,充分利用铬、铌在钢中的作用,通过实验室小炉试验钢冶炼和性能研究,在高碳钢轨钢中加入铬等强化元素和稀土,研制开发了高碳重载铁路用钢轨。钢轨性能指标:抗拉强度不小于1 330 MPa,延伸率不小于9%,轨头踏面硬度(HBW)不小于390,其他性能满足BT/T 2344—2012标准要求。试制结果表明,该钢轨生产工艺顺行,性能达到技术要求,满足重载线路的需要。

In order to meet the demands of heavy haul railways as well as make full use of the functions of chromium and niobium in steel, the high carbon rail for heavy haul railway is researched and developed by adding such strengthening elements as chromium and rare earth into high carbon rail steels through smelting the test steel with laboratory furnace and performance study. The performance indexes of rail are that the tensile strength is not less than 1 330 MPa, elongation is not less than 9%, tread hardness of rail head (HBW) is not less than 390 and other properties could meet the requirements of standard BT/T 2344—2012. The results of trial production showed that the production process of the rail was trouble free and performances could meet the technical requirements, which could satisfy the needs of heavy haul railway.

现代铁路运输正向高速、重载、大运量方向发展。我国积极开展铁路技术的研究和应用,在高速化和重载化方面均取得较大的突破,处于国际先进水平。但是我国铁路运输条件更为苛刻,许多主干线年运量达到1亿t以上,大秦线铁路年运量达到5亿t,现有普通H340钢轨强度级别低,耐磨性能差,使用寿命短,已不适应重载铁路发展的需要,开发升级换代的1 330 MPa级别高强耐磨钢轨势在必行。
查阅国内外高强钢轨资料并进行性能对比,结合实验室研究结果,确定试验钢试制化学成分如表1所示。
铬为固溶强化元素,固溶于铁素体中,提高铁素体强度,与渗碳体结合,形成合金渗碳体,明显提高渗碳体强度;硅以固溶体形式存在于钢中,提高固溶体强度,增加耐磨性,但降低钢的导热性和导电性,使焊接性变差,需要适当控制;锰和铁形成固溶体,提高钢的强度,但含量较高时,有使晶粒粗化的倾向;铌在高碳钢中通过固溶拖曳和析出钉扎细化晶粒,提高钢材性能;镍元素可以提高钢的强度,还可以细化晶粒。
工业试验的工艺流程为铁水预处理→复吹转炉冶炼→LF精炼→VD真空脱气→大方坯连铸→步进炉加热→万能轧制→热处理→冷床冷却→矫直→探伤→加工→检查入库。
出钢碳含量为0.16%,出钢温度为1 610 ℃,出钢后加入白灰、硅钙钡和萤石,进行脱氧和对炉渣改质,出钢过程中保证吹氩效果,钢水精炼就位时顶渣没有结坨现象。
LF炉主要任务是加入合金,使化学成分满足设计成分范围,试验钢要求铝含量小于0.004%,采用硅钙钡脱氧,LF精炼加入高碳锰铁、低铝硅铁和高碳铬铁,深真空脱气时间15~18 min,真空脱气后软吹不小于15 min。
连铸时采用保护浇注,使用低铝保护渣和碱性覆盖剂,中包液位在700 mm以上。试验钢液相线温度为1 451 ℃,过热度(ΔT)为20~24 ℃,全程恒拉速操作,拉速为0.62 m/min,铸机电磁搅拌和轻压下使用正常,冶炼成分见表2,各元素均满足技术要求。
高碳钢中碳的偏析控制是难点之一,连铸二次冷却直接关系到铸坯的产量和质量,是连铸生产中的关键技术之一。在其他工艺条件不变时,二冷强度增加,拉速增大,则铸机生产率提高。同时研究表明连铸坯内部裂纹、表面裂纹、鼓肚、菱变(脱方)、中心偏析等缺陷的形成和发展都与二次冷却有紧密的联系,因此优化和控制二次冷却十分重要。试验钢属于高碳钢,凝固区域较宽,从保证铸坯矫直温度、动态轻压下的适宜温度出发,选取目前模型中动态配水最小值,比水量为0.18 kg/L,同时针对高碳钢浇注凝固特性,对高碳钢保护渣黏度进行调整,保证负滑脱时间在0.15~0.18 s之间。
取280 mm×380 mm铸坯进行成分偏析检验,对角线每隔15 mm取一点。检测碳、锰、硅元素含量,进行偏析指数计算,结果为碳偏析指数在0.95~1.05之间,锰偏析指数在0.98~1.02之间,硅偏析指数在0.98~1.03之间,成分偏析控制较好。
钢轨热处理试制工艺为开轧温度在1 136 ℃,终轧温度为928 ℃,钢轨经过BD1轧机轧制7道次,BD2轧机轧制3道次,CCS轧机轧制3道次,保证钢轨断面尺寸符合标准技术要求。在线热处理入口温度为700~780 ℃,出口温度为490~580 ℃,见表3
试制2支试验钢轨,取样进行力学性能和硬度的检验,检验结果见表4
试验轨的抗拉强度为1 396~1 407 MPa,伸长率为10.0%~10.5%,踏面硬度(HBW)为400~411,均达到技术要求。
根据GB/T 10561—2005[1]标准评定非金属夹杂物级别,结果见表5。检验结果表明,钢中夹杂物控制水平满足TB/T 2344—2012要求[2]
对钢轨全断面进行金相检验,从轨头、轨腰及轨底分别取金相样,放大500倍检验,结果如图1所示,均为珠光体组织加微量铁素体。
按照TB/T 2344—2012[3]标准的有关方法,从试验轨取样,测试钢轨断裂韧性。试验采用三点弯曲试样,试样厚度B=25 mm,宽度W=40 mm,试验温度-20 ℃。由试验结果可知,断裂韧性ΔKIC单个最小值为30.3 MPa·m1/2,平均值为33.3 MPa·m1/2,满足TB/T 2344—2012规定的单个最小值大于26 MPa·m1/2、平均值大于29 MPa·m1/2的要求。
按照TB/T 2344—2012[3]标准要求取样测试了钢轨的裂纹扩展速率,结果见表6。测试结果满足:当K=10 MPa·m1/2K=13.5 MPa·m1/2时,da/dN分别不大于17和55的要求。
按照TB/T 2344—2012[3]标准要求的方法,从试验轨中取试样进行轴向疲劳检验。当总应变幅为1 350 με,最大载荷为11 kN,应力幅为285 MPa时,试样疲劳寿命均达到了TB/T 2344—2012要求的5×106次不断。
轮轨材料磨耗量是直观反映钢轨和车轮材料耐磨性能的重要指标,通过对比不同磨损量来有效对比分析材料的耐磨性能差异。取试验钢轨、U75VH热处理钢轨磨损试样分别与车轮进行对磨,10万次后试验钢轨、U75VH钢轨的平均失重量及平均失重率见表7表8
表7可见试验钢轨与U75VH热处理钢轨磨耗规律基本一致,每种钢轨试样的磨损量与循环次数接近一次函数关系,试验钢轨试样的磨损量较U75VH钢轨磨损量低。当10万转磨损试验结束时,试验钢轨每万转平均磨损量为2.08 μg,U75VH钢轨每万转平均磨损量为4.54 μg,试验钢轨的磨损率为U75VH钢轨磨损率的46%。
(1)在C-Mn钢的基础上加入铬、铌、稀土元素的试验钢轨,生产顺行,成分及偏析等控制较好。
(2)钢轨的抗拉强度为1 396~1 407 MPa,踏面硬度(HBW)为400~411,伸长率为10.0%~10.5%,各项性能均满足技术要求。
(3)钢轨断裂韧性、裂纹扩展速率和轴向疲劳均满足TB/T 2344—2012标准要求。
(4)试验钢轨每万转平均磨损量为2.08 μg,为U75VH钢轨磨损率的46%。
